I called yesterday to see if I can get a hitch put on my vehicle because I wasn't really sure if it…read morewas even possible because of the type of vehicle I own. The man on the phone asked if I could drop it off and I could get picked up by someone because it would take a little while for my vehicle to be finished. I said yes that I have family in the area, and confused, I asked if he wanted me to drop it off right then. He then continued to laugh at me on the phone and told me absolutely not. I left my phone number with him anyway to see when an appointment would be made for me and he called me today and promptly said "it's 3 hours of labor, so $300" meanwhile I have been quoted $150 by several other well known franchise companies. After stating that it would be $300, he then told me "I did research and your car is going to be a real pain in the ass to do. It is a lot of labor involved." I found the people on the phone to be quite rude and I felt as if he was speaking down to me almost as if I was belittled. Might I state, at the beginning of the phone call, I stated several times I did not want an appointment with them because I didn't want to do business with them after the first phone call. Then, when I said that once again after his very rude comment, he said okay and hung up the phone on me. I'm a very educated person and I honestly feel as if the people who answered the phone were quite sexist being that they laughed in my face like I was just another stupid person. I researched how the hitch needed to be installed on my car. I know the labor that needed to go into it. I did not need to be told by whatever child called me that my car was a pain in the ass. I absolutely would not recommend these people. If I could give them a half star I would.

DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!!!…read more I recently had a terrible experience with RV #14. A $3200 week long family vacation became pure hell on wheels. After voicing my concerns below to the owner, her solutions were A. Drive back 5 hours and swap out the RV for a far smaller one; or B. Cut our long planned trip short, eat our money on the camp site and theme park reservations we had and she would give us a refund just for the rental. Was not willing to bring another RV to us, which given the cost of the rental doesn't seem like a big ask. Very apparent we were inconveniencing her by letting her know of all the issues with the RV. Issues: - Bathroom door divider broke off the hinge 1 hour into driving. - Rear Interior Tire blew out 2 hours into driving (Emergency Services said it could of been avoided with proper inflation). - Black water tank was still full upon initial hookup. - Toilet backed up due to very old feces build up. - The TV wiring was all disconnected. - AV system not properly hooked up. - Left outside awning speaker blown out. - No Direct TV installed despite being advertised. - Greeted to filth underneath the slide out after extending. - Wheel alignment was messed up out of the gate. - GPS Informatics Unit's USB kept disconnecting and reconnecting. Also does not charge phone. - Door to the slide-out pantry next to the fridge was jimmy-rigged together; Did not hold up within the first day. - Bunk above the drivers seat smelled like mold. - Zone 2 of the AC (Front Cabin Area) seems to need Freon. - Due to the tire blowout, the slides wiring was damaged. Lost a day waiting for a mechanic. - Filth every where, the wall between the pantry and bathroom had brown stains all over it. - Owner purposely disconnected the leveling jacks, making for an unleveled experience on site. - External side marker lights were inoperable prior to the tire blow out. Warning: The mechanic who fixed the slide-out warned there are a lot of disconnected wires underneath the RV that were purposely disconnected. He said he had not seen a newer RV in such disrepair before. Even if the owner wants to reconnect the leveling jacks, he doubts they would work due to no fluid in them and poor maintenance. DO NOT RENT RV #14 (Largest C class she has) About the owner: - Customer Service is not her pedigree - Relies on you watching her terrible videos for operation instructions instead of taking the time to personally walk you thru the RV. - Makes up pricing on the fly. - Rude - Did I mention rude? Insinuated my wife dyes her hair for no reason what-so-ever! *** Anyone who sublets their RV's to her be leery. She does not take care of your vehicle as she claims to. Our trip was a test run to purchase an RV and possibly use her for consignment. She gave us a load of BS about how she takes care of them like they are her own. I'd hate to see how she treats the things she owns. I am glad this miserable experience occurred though because I wound up not going the consignment route. Had I had done so , I would be taking her to court if I found out she had not cared for it like she hadn't for my recent rental.*** PS: They have two accounts on Yelp! for some reason.

Took them TWO years to answer a YELP message, LOL, whatta joke ! Good luck people !read more

DAVES RV- Danbury Connecticut. I rely heavily on reviews…read morefor all sorts of things, restaurants, hotels and especially everything to do with RVs, camping, etc. Oddly enough, I usually do not write reviews. But this one is an exception. We have owned and operated RVs for almost 40 years so one can imagine we've had our fair share of dealings with repair shops, Mobile RV techs and yes, RV dealers, the latter of which is usually very painfull. We have been traveling for over 2months in our 2022 Newmar Newaire diesel pusher, from Idaho to Arizona through Texas, the deep south and up the East Coast. Everywhere has been blistering hot, humid and our rear air-conditioning unit was not working well. We had a Newmar dealer in Myrtle Beach determine it needed to be replaced, even though they could not tell me what was wrong with it. They replaced it, but after 13 man hours they could not get the new one to work. We came back the next day and they spent 7 hours putting the old one back on. The Next day, the old unit didn't work at all. Fast forward, I researched what dealer was going to be in our path, I checked reviews on various options and then contacted Dave's RV in Danbury Connecticut. It was a little out of our way, but I called them and spoke with Dave Jr. He was super knowledgeable, knew exactly what the issue was. We agreed to drive up to Danbury from Philly let Dave take a shot at it. We arrived at 2 PM chatted with Dave Jr. and Larry, left them the keys and went to the market expecting to hook up to their power connections and spend the night when we got back. Less than two hours later we got back; The coach was where we left it connected to shore power slideouts out, lights on and the new air conditioner in and running. After chatting with both of them, we determined that the previous job was Pretty much botched and surprised we didn't have a fire. I even got to meet Dave Senior and his lovely wife and the office crew. Senior has been at it for 56 years there....These people are the salt of the Earth, true professionals, and they renewed my faith in independent dealers and technicians. Forever grateful.

Stay away!! This guy is a big rip off…read more They add time to your work while working on other rv's. Also they don't know what they are doing. I brought my motor home to adjust the slides and after two trips and 600 miles of driving and a 900 dollar bill . The slide is worth than it was before he started. And Dave jr blamed the manufacturer.
