I love CYM coffee! If you had a favorite and it's not on the menu anymore you can still get it! My favorite was Dragons Breath. So so good, honey, cayenne and blackberry!! Small cozy establishment, decent pricing, good baristas, nice selection of pastries. They can get busy on weekends so you may have to wait 5-10 minutes but the coffee is worth it. I just moved out of Gainesville and CYM is one of the places I will miss most! read more

Great working vibes, and great coffee! I was in town for work and needed somewhere to knock out a few hours, and so I chose Cymplify. This place is small and great to unplug and relax at. It's been a staple in Gainesville since 2012. Having graduated from Buchholz and being from this area of town I have frequented here quite a couple times. Whenever I am on this side of town now I have to stop by. I absolutely love their Almond Joy Latte. It definitely is a treat and my go to. The blend of chocolate, almond, and coconut flavors was rich and well-balanced, giving that nostalgic Almond Joy candy bar vibe without being overly sweet. The espresso had a smooth, bold taste that complemented the flavors nicely. I wish the coconut flavor was a bit more pronounced. Still, it's a fantastic drink, and I'd absolutely order it again! If you love a nutty, chocolatey coffee, this one's worth trying. read more

This coffee shop is tucked away off of NW 8th Ave near the Oaks Mall. When I stopped in there were a lot of students and people doing remote work and it was definitely very cozy. I glanced over the menu as they had some of their fall specialities/flavors available. They also have a lot of some of the staff's favorite combos which I like as well. I went with a 12oz iced latte with almond milk and picked the flavor from the fall menu called pumpkin patch. This was pumpkin pie, nutmeg, and maple. It took about 7 minutes as they were semi-busy and it was only 1 barista and 1 cashier behind the counter. Once I took a sip, immediately I could taste the maple. It was not too sweet but it was very flavor forward. After swirling the drink around several times, I could slighty taste the pumpkin but not as much as the maple and nutmeg. Overall, it was good for size and pricing and I love that they have a huge variety of flavors. However, I am looking forward to trying out that toasted marshmallow flavor as it was sold out when I stopped in. read more

Always a treat to come here! The staff is very friendly and helpful and love their outdoor seating. Their coffee is very good and LOTS of options! I love that they don't make the coffee too sweet. A shame that the rest of the shopping center is now abandoned. It used to be fun to walk around and get coffee. But love having the food trucks out front now! read more

Pretty nice place to stop and study or get work done with free wifi. I loved the outdoor seating and easy parking. The actual coffee prep area is very small and tucked in the back, but you order at a distance so there's no contamination. The staff was friendly and very quick to prepare our order. The reason they don't get a higher score is because the coffee itself was not flavorful and lacked a sufficient kick that you'd expect from a latte. I'll hopefully be changing the rating when we return to try again. read more

This is a strong 4, I got a reasonably priced 20oz iced latte with organic maple syrup. To get 5 stars I prefer all house made flavors. The others besides the maple syrup are low quality. The matcha was more like a green tea flavored milk, so I was no a fan. Yes, I could have asked for more matcha or to have it remade, but I also feel that if you offer something for sale, you should be able to make it on the first try. Maybe I'm wrong? This coffee shop is one of the top places for coffee in Gainesville. Everything about this place is great. I go all the time and try something different every time. The employees are super sweet and all of the "employee creations" drinks are fantastic. I personally really enjoy the berry chantilly latte. There is tons of seating and the layout is unique & charming. There is also a super cute cat that frequents outside the house. I'm not sure if the cat lives there but it's super friendly and loves pets :)!! read more

CYM is a very chill and relaxed coffee shop in Gville. We came for the fall menu this time and it didn't disappoint. The pumpkin patch latte was awesome. It has hints of nutmeg and maple. It was delicious. Same goes for the cinnamon muffin. I thought the prices were fair. They even have a cold case with other various drinks that are affordable. The baristas are also very fast. There are plenty of seats inside and out. Along with tons of parking. Theres also a coffee shop cat outside and he lets you pet him (or her?). Overall this is one of the best shops in Gainesville. read more

Wow! I haven't been to Cym in a couple of years, I kind of thought it wasn't there anymore, but it is! And it is still excellent! I got a 24 ounce iced latte with oat milk and flavor added and it was only $6. It was so smooth and the level of flavor was perfect. The young woman that made my drink was professional and efficient. It's a bit hidden but worth finding! I've been here a few times en route to a work trip and it's conveniently located not too far off the interstate. The coffee is consistently good, and the location is cute! My favorite thing is that they have a TON of specialty flavors but unlike some places with big menus--they're all good!!! Definitely stop to check out this little gem, drive a little past the big chain places cause it's not much further and you'll enjoy it! read more

If you are not paying attention you will drive right past Cym coffee. Tucked into what feels like more of an old house than a coffee shop, Cym coffee has a great selection of coffees, lattes, teas, and pastries. On my first trip to Cym I ordered the ice maple latte and it has such wonderful maple syrup flavor. There are at least a dozen other specialty latte flavors I want to try. Inside there is ample seating if you want to bring a laptop to study or do work. Forget Dunkin' and Starbucks, Cym is the real hidden gem off Newberry Road. read more

First time visiting CYM Coffee and unfortunately, it fell short. While the ambience was nice, the coffee itself was disappointing--especially considering the pricing, which is comparable to Foxtail but without matching the quality. I ordered a café con leche, which was confirmed with a simple "Ready?"--and that was the entire interaction. For a smaller, local coffee shop, I expected a bit more warmth and personality. CYM is such a Gainesville staple for coffee, the flavor list and specialty combo is extensive enough for everyone to find a flavor they like the sheer amount of options makes me want to come back and try them all! Inside is super cute with books and a homey feel. My only qualms are that they don't have any sugar free flavors and $6.50 for a 16 oz latte is a bit steep. Also the seating is a bit limited especially for groups of 3+ but otherwise a really really fun option read more

I love coming to Cymplify! Such a fantastic local coffee shop with great vibes. I especially love the outdoor seating. In that cool spring and fall weather, outdoor seating is perfect for chilling with friends and catching up over coffee. This place also has a pretty large menu of various coffee drinks (hot and cold) and other blended beverages. The Iced Dirty Chai Coffee that I got was a great drink. Very well balanced between the coffee flavor, the milk, and the chai spices. Makes for a perfect fall drink if you're looking for something other than Pumpkin Spiced Lattes. I also love the fact that this place has locally roasted coffee beans for sale. So make sure you drop by here and grab a drink and a bag of coffee beans! You won't be disappointed! :) read more

I think CYM stands for Christian Youth Ministry. The clientele are mostly students and professionals working on their laptops, though sometimes I feel like I'm at a Bible camp reunion. They like the band Sister Hazel for some reason and have some signed albums, maybe the current management doesn't even remember why they have them. The coffee is pretty darn good and there is lots of seating inside and outside, the front porch near the woods has a nice view of cypress and some wildflowers. The WiFi and AC both work. Wait time for coffee is generally okay, and they have lots of different barista specials. Worth the trip. read more

The best chai latte in town! Seriously I don't know how they do it but no other coffee place quite gets it right either too milky or not enough spiced taste. Even if chai isn't your cup of tea... there coffee is delicious! They have a great atmosphere a little quieter then the hustle and bustle of Starbucks. An easy local coffee place to recommend! Awhile back I took a giant leap from hometown G'ville to the big city--four years in Atlanta, five in San Francisco, and ten in Huntington Beach, CA. I just recently leapt back. (Really missed Mom's southern cooking!) One thing I miss about HB is the local coffeehouse: a simple, casual little hangout ... and a 30-second skateboard ride from my house. The Change Your Mind stuff my brother (Dave) was working on with our old friends Ken and Tracy sparked lots of thoughts and conversations about pursuing my dream of recreating that community coffeehouse feel here in G'ville. Then we thought of a way to make it happen, with the CYM Coffee Co. at Cymplify Central. And here we are, since 2012. Living the dream. Keeping it cymple. Brad Neal

Concord Coffee offers a nice selection of drinks with unique syrups, etc. Although I didn't order coffee this time, I would be willing to try it in the future! The staff is super friendly and helpful. Their pastry case is limited and I believe they get their baked goods from somewhere local. I wasn't sure what to get and the worker recommended any of their pastries, as opposed to their bagels, as they were delivered fresh today. I ended up ordering the cinnamon roll, she heated it up and that took about 5 minutes. The cinnamon roll itself wasn't anything super special. The dough reminded me more of that of a croissant due to its flakier consistency. The glaze on top was light and the cinnamon inside was underwhelming. I still didn't have a problem with it until I reached the center. I noticed the center wasn't fully heated up and even felt slightly cold. But my biggest issue was the fact that the dough in the center was very much raw. It was not cooked/baked through at all. Disappointing to say the least. I would not return for a pastry or baked good, as I believe you can find better ones around the area for a better price. But I would return to try the coffee. Overall, I think Concord Coffee is a super cute coffee shop located in midtown. The staff is really sweet and helpful as well. I thought the inside was clean and I appreciated the decor. With that that being said, I would stick to beverages as opposed to their food items. My cinnamon roll was anything but special, I feel like one from Publix would have left me more satisfied. By biggest issue was definitely the fact that it wasn't baked through and raw in the center. I will get around to trying their coffee at some point in the future.

Definitely a place that welcomes sitting and talking, where you can relax for a bit. A small selection of bagels and baked goods, but all are good quality. 3-4 kinds of bagels and 3 kinds of muffins on the days we were there. The coffee is decent but not spectacular, though they have a long list of specialty drinks to appeal to a variety of tastes. There aren't any pour over options, if you aren't getting an espresso drink you're getting coffee from an urn. The beans do seem well sourced, the brewing doesn't seem like it's getting the best out of them.
