3rd time going to Cynthia, the first two times were great! This time, HORRIBLE!!!! Cynthia ruined my hair... I have light blonde hair, and I just needed the roots touched up (like she did 2 times prior) and she died my ENTIRE head of hair dark brown, DARK BROWN The chair that I was sitting in, was not in front of a mirror. After she died and washed my hair, I looked in the mirror and my hair was dark brown, I literally was about to cry.... I've literally never had brown hair in my entire life.... And that's exactly what I told her. I don't know what she was thinking, or if she had mistaken me for another client. But, I was/am just sooo incredibly upset... After she saw my reaction, she then decided to rub bleach over it for 10 minutes- my hair is now in Really, REALLY BAD shape, extremely brittle and mushing off Just BEWARE!!!!!!!! read more

Highly Recomended!!! LOVE IT! I just got my hair done there and the staff is very warm and friendly. Cynthia is a scissor master. I am always made welcome. I also had the manicure and pedicure special for $39. They helped me pick out the colors and did a great job exfoliating my heels. I would highly recommend going there on Tuesdays - Friday nights. I had a very pleasant time at this hair salon last saturday. My stylist offered me coffee and cake while I waited and overall everybody was very nice. I was heart broken when my nail tech of 8 years left my old place. I have been shopping around for about 6 months with tons of disappointment, but then I stumbled into Cynthia's. I ADORE Elena! I have already bought my massage therapists gift certificates to see her. My first time she gently chastised me about not taking care of my hands since I have to wash them all of the time. She offered multiple ways I could take better care of them. She also does this finger massage thing that I love! I am a sports massage therapist and I was impressed! I also must say that Cynthia is very nice every time I come in and she is always juggling two or three people getting their hair done and everyone seems happy and comfortable. Today was the first time I visited this salon. I'm going to be honest, I usually go elsewhere regularly and went to see Cynthia today since it was Sunday and my salon was closed. Turns out it was a blessing in disguise. I made the appointment over the phone almost walk-in style and I only had to wait 30 minutes to be fit in. And it was 45 minutes before they closed too and yet they were so willing to cut and style my hair. Not only did they do a great job, Cynthia was beyond generous and helpful. I have stopped by multiple times on weekends and weekdays just to get my eyebrows waxed. I am NEVER greeted and when I am spoken to the ladies are extremely rude. I told them I just needed my eyebrows done and they said they didn't have time. I explained I had been here a few times and if I should make an appointment if it's not a walk in salon/spa and she said it is sometimes. I see some amazing reviews and I hope no one has the same experience as me, but they are always rude to me every time I come in. read more

After 15 years with a stylist I loved but a 45 minute drive, decided it was time to find a salon that was closer to home. Tried another salon in Belmont Chase but wasn't the right vibe for me...different person cuts and colors. Also hair became very brittle. Second times a charm. I have been here on several occasions and I have always loved my haircut and highlights but I have gone here for the last time. I made an appointment to get my hair done here, along with my bridesmaids on my wedding day. They messed up every single appointment and took a lot longer than they had originally said they would. They were running so far behind (at least 2 hours behind schedule), they actually threatened to cancel my hair appointment. Who cancels the bride's appointment? Needless to say, I became very upset and that was when my bridesmaids overheard Cynthia and her staff calling me a 'Bridezilla'. I am not a Bridezilla and I don't think it's shocking when a woman gets upset her hair appointment is canceled an hour prior on her wedding day so they can make room for another wedding group (especially when they were the ones so far behind schedule in the first place). Well, they were able to fit me in and the woman who did my hair was very nice (exceptionally nice). I gave her a picture of how I wanted my hair, half up and half down and elegant looking but what I got was a side ponytail with a braid. I admit, I loved the braid idea but was not sold on the side ponytail....at all! It's not me, at all and who doesn't want to feel like themselves on their wedding day? I tried to get her to move the side ponytail more towards the back so it would look more elegant and not so childish but she insisted it looked fine where it was at and wouldn't move it. My husband thought it looked beautiful but I couldn't shake the feeling that I looked like a child, which was not the look or feel I was going for on my wedding day. As for my bridesmaids, they all decided to get updo's. DO NOT get an updo at Cynthia's!! Only one of them was satisfied with the job they did. They all ended up having retro looking, BIG hair (you know the kind that no one wants). One of my girls updo's was SO unflattering on her that she just took it down and did a simple bun instead, it looked 100 times better and more up to date. All in all, I was disappointed in their lack of professionalism and that they wouldn't listen to their customers when they weren't happy. I might recommend this place for getting your hair cut, but that is it. I really regret coming here for my wedding hair and even more I regret dragging my bridesmaids here. :-( read more

Stay away from this place!!! Went in for an evening appt., hairdresser never showed up for the freakin appointment. I was there for almost 4 hours to get a cut and highlight. Fortunately, another stylist was able to squeeze me into her schedule. The owner apologized but had the nerve then to charge me FULL PRICE and didn't even offer a discount for my inconvenience NOR did they give me a discount for my next visit. The staff is friendly and it is a pleasant environment, however, I believe Cythnia should be more focused on discussing what she believes will and will not work for your hair before she chops it off. read more
