    Dip mani

Well I gave this place two shots since it's a pretty convenient location for me. I came in twice for Mani Pedi. Gel the first time and dip the second time. THE GOOD: Staff is extremely friendly. Clean facilities. Nice chairs and overall relaxing environment. Decent choice of colors. Parking validation. Second time around I told them I didn't have much time so they did my mani and pedi at the same time. The lotions and creams smelled wonderful. Nice massage and helpful picking colors. THE BAD: For what you pay (They charged me $145 with a $15 off coupon for a gel pedi and dip mani) the results were underwhelming. Although the nail tech did try to correct the extra color around my nails on my skin, it looked rather sloppy. I realize it will eventually wash off but I just can't justify paying so much for an ok job. I think if the prices were more reasonable I would be less critical.

    6D eyelash extensions with HANSUN!
    Lauren K.

I love my 6D eyelash extensions from Hansun! You have to see her!! Everyone's been complimenting me! I used to jet around to different salons for eyelash fills but I would rather pay more for a person I can trust and rely on and NOT GET GLUE IN MY EYE!! There was ZERO burn! If you get glue in your eyes you can go blind! They are pricey but my eyesight is worth it! Thank you Salon Nordine! Highly HIGHLY recommend!

After the second visit. That's what it looks like with my hair extension. They don't match at all!

I went to this salon with virgin black hair and had the worst experience ever, twice. I told her I wanted my hair a natural medium brown, and I had lots of pictures to show (I included one of them in the review). I clearly said I don't want any red in my hair. The first time, my hair came out very dark with some brassy highlights in my bangs. I cried and a couple others stepped in and tried to fix it. They kept applying toner to my hair but it stayed very golden and brassy. I talked to the salon manager and he apologized and told me to leave without paying and asked me to schedule another appointment with someone else to fix it. I decided to give them another chance and went next week. I had an appointment with another stylist. I spent the whole day for the second time there. She tried her best to fix my hair. It DIDN'T look like any of the pictures I showed her. Moreover, it doesn't even look good: damaged and mismatched. I also wanted to dye my hair extension to match my hair color. When I came to pick up my extension, it was COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from my new hair color. I ended up paying $350 for hair that's very damaged and a color I didn't want or like. Yes, everyone is nice, but they're not professional and didn't admit they couldn't give me the results I wanted. I regret wasting my money and time there: I hate my hair color and it's very damaged. The best I can do is go to another salon to fix my hair and extension.

I'm not even going to lie, I was a bit nervous at first. I had completed a color correction consultation with a different stylist two weeks prior to my appointment but when I arrived she had a personal emergency and wasn't able to come until later so another stylist took care of me. I was apprehensive because the original stylist and I had talked for about 30 min discussing a plan on how to reach my hair goals and I wasn't able to have as in depth of a consultation with my new stylist. I *believe* the stylist who took care of my was named Sahar. I showed her my inspiration pictures and felt a bit nervous as she started working but decided to have faith. Boy am I glad I did! She was able to match the color in the picture i showed her PERFECTLY! I also had come in with the worlds more dry, damaged, breaking hair with about a thousand different shades of neon yellow sprinkled throughout. She achieved a result I literally didn't think my hair was capable of. She also did many relaxing treatments for me at the shampoo bowl and gave me a super fun cute bob which I've been excited about doing for weeks. Upon feeling my hair, I could cry happy tears! It feels just as soft and smooth as it once did before I ever touched it with bleach. Sahar understood the assignment lol

Shannon is a senior stylist, and her expertise in color and hair care is impressive. I live in Great Falls, where the well water tends to turn my hair green, but Shannon always manages to fix that. My hair has never looked better! Going from black to blonde isn't easy, and I really can't stand any red or orange tones. I've had issues with other stylists in the past, and it's just not my vibe. My 16-year-old daughter has tried out a bunch of hair colors--red, burgundy, brown, blonde, and back to black. Despite all the changes, her hair stays thick and healthy. I wouldn't trust anyone else with her hair because I worry about damage. Shannon is not just a fantastic stylist; she's also super friendly, kind, and honest. Honestly, she's like my therapist too, haha! She's usually pretty busy and booked up for a few months, so you definitely need an appointment. If you're looking for a new stylist, you should definitely check out Shannon. You won't regret it!

Well...here's how I ended up going to PR at Partners. Before coming here, I had been going to the…read moresame hair stylist since I was 28---yeah, that's a long time but hey, I'm getting old :D Through the years she bounced around to different salons in Tysons Corner (all in the mall). One day, I called to make an appointment. The day before the appointment, I got a call saying that the salon had moved. No longer was it in the mall but in an area of McLean that was a real pain to get to and parking there was also horrible. It really bothered me that my stylist didn't take the time to call me personally to let me know. After all, she did have my phone number. She also once told me she would never leave the mall. I cancelled my appointment after finding that they had moved and never looked back. Now...what to do next? I researched what was in Reston Town Center and came up with PR at Partners. After reading the Yelp reviews, I was concerned as the reviews said the reception staff was rude. But...I decided to walk over there and find out for myself. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the young woman working there was very nice. So, what I did was ask her if there were any stylists who wouldn't be afraid to cut my hair. She said "What's wrong with your hair?" I said, "It's thick, coarse, wavy and frizzy." She said, "Oh, just like mine." I looked at her hair and said "yes". She then gave me the names of 2 different stylists. Apparently, they have different levels of stylists with the most experienced ones charging the most. One of the 2 stylists charged just what my old stylist charged, so I made an appointment with her---and I'm glad I did! My first visit I immediately knew she was the right one when she said "I'm not afraid to cut your hair." Before cutting it, she spent a good amount of time asking what I wanted in a cut, showing me photos then showing me how she would improve on my current cut. For example, she pointed out that the back of my hair could use some shaping. At the end of the appointment, I really liked my haircut---much better than my previous one. She's also taught me a lot about hair care. For example, I finally learned what the diffuser on the hair dryer was for and why I should use it. I feel spoiled going here. When you get a shampoo, the chair also gives you a back massage. Good thing it doesn't take long to wash my hair or I would end up falling asleep---the massage is that nice! I've never come across a rude receptionist either. All have been friendly and patient. In fact, one day I walked in and the receptionist said "Susan?" I didn't expect that. The day before my appointment, I always get an email asking me to confirm that I'm still coming. My last appointment in 2019, I was told if I booked the first one for 2020 right then I would get a coupon to save $10 on the next appointment. All this makes me feel like the appreciate their customers. Now I can walk to my appointments, which is great. I'm so glad I made the change!

I only ever do simple cuts, nothing fancy. My haircut, done by Anderson (a level 3 stylist), is objectively good. The skill was there. But it's definitely shorter than I wanted it. Went in for a lob, came out with an asymmetrical bob...Honestly I was panicking while he was drying it because it was starting to look like Lord Farquaad from Shrek. I asked if he could style it like in the reference pictures I showed (simple waves, to reduce Farquaad-ness). He tried to do it with the brush/dryer, which obviously wasn't working, and didn't want to use a flatiron. So I just suffered through scalding heat on my scalp and hair pulling. I got told I don't have curly hair. I got told I don't have frizzy hair. I, in fact, have both of those. Some other minor things: 1. When I got home I had some hair that was noticeably longer than the rest, like it never got cut. So...I had to do it. Just a few strands, but normally stylists check for that when your hair is dry. 2. I almost never use heat on my hair, so I asked for recs and mentioned a specific brand doesn't work for me. He immediately said he loves that brand. I said yeah...but it doesn't work for me. Anything else? "Any salon brand." Cool. Not helpful. 3. Asked for something at the end to tame the pieces that were sticking out (again, I have frizzy hair). He looked...confused? Smoothing as a last step has been standard at every other place I've been to. There is nothing in the whole salon like that? Also, my introvert-self just wants to go somewhere where I don't have to be engaged in conversation the whole time. Anyway. Won't go back, my hunt continues.
