He explained what would and would not be compliant and helped me get as much privacy as possible on the front driver and passenger windows while staying within the legal requirements. The finished tint looks great, and the front windows are dark enough for the privacy I wanted without going overboard. While I was there, Steve also repaired some curb rash on one of my wheels. I contacted them via email, and they provided me with a quote and with great communication about the products they offer. When you get your tints here, you get your choice of XPEL tints. I went with the XPEL XR ceramic films, which are top of class films that reflect a high percentage of infrared and UV light. (Note: they also have an XPEL XR PLUS film that offers even more superior light/heat reflection). The main thing is that this translates into cooler interiors during the summer. The team at Evo Studios was very detail oriented, they had excellent communication, they had fair pricing, and they use top-of-class XPEL products that come with a lifetime guarantee. In addition to tints, they also offer ceramic coating and paint protection films. After consideration, I did put PPF on my front headlights to protect them from the corrosion that happens naturally after a few years. What impressed me most was his attention to detail and personal standard of excellence. After completing the tint, he noticed that he wasn't completely satisfied with the result on one of the windows. Instead of simply letting it go, he brought it to my attention himself and insisted on redoing it. That level of integrity and pride in his craftsmanship is rare. He wasn't satisfied with "good enough"--he wanted it right, even when I may not have noticed the difference myself. That speaks volumes about the kind of craftsman he is. He was also extremely accommodating, professional, and respectful of my time. I had the rear chrome delete done on my Mercedes GLE 53 and the quality of the work was outstanding. What surprised me most was the pricing it was more competitive than several other shops I looked into especially considering the quality of the finished product. Service: The tint installed was a Suntek Ceramic Tint for the 4 side windows and rear hatch glass. The technician did a fair job. I have a rear dash camera on the back glass and the technician was kind enough to remove and reinstall after the tint job but it wasn't aligned properly. Took about 2:30 hours to complete the job. Quality: So far nearly a year, the Suntek ceramic tint I'd say held up well. I did notice 2 things about the passenger side window. My car logo on the bottom corner was fading a bit and a very small spec on the passenger side window. It's not enough for me to be concerned about though. Overall: Nearly a year since the tint job was done, I'd say they have done a decent job for the price I was quoted for. Other shops charge double if not, triple the amount. If it was a bit cheaper or same prices when compared to another shop, than I would've given this a 2-star review.
