Rod ( The Manager ) and his crew did an amazing job fixing my car . I had a check engine light on which the problem was due to a Mass Air Flow on my Nissan . Rod had to explain to me exactly what the MAF does, how it operates , and what steps needed to repair it . He keep me informed of the process in a timely manner . I called ahead to make an appointment but somehow it didn't get logged in the system properly. However, they were super helpful and got me scheduled right away. I was in and out in less than an hour. Their tire rotations are included with the oil change and the workers were very helpful and encouraging. I went to ask about getting my vehicle worked on very friendly very welcoming told me to bring it in. So I did the next day(Friday 1pm) I get a phone call and they did not get back to me till the following week on Monday telling me that there is too much wrong with the vehicle to even diagnose. They wouldn't even want you touch it. Then I also asked him about a quote for a another vehicle I have and when I inquired about this vehicle they quoted me an insanely High estimate and I know the vehicle and what the job requires yet they wanted to quote me something so high so I wouldn't want it done. And to top it off I am a AAA member and I was referred to them by AAA saying I would get top notch service at a discounted rate for being a AAA member yet all I got was nothing but negatively and judged. Very disappointed because they were so nice and welcoming In the beginning they just saw a job that wasn't going to pay out to what they intended in and also in the service they provided and the misleading information smh. I am from San Diego and my car broke down in the middle of the night Friday, October 13th while I was on my way to Knottsberry farm. Thank god it broke down as I was parking and not on the road or freeway. My insurance suggested a place nearby called City Wide Auto that does have night drop offs where you can get the car towed there 24/7 and during after hours leave your key in an envelope with all your information and leave it in a secure drop box location. This whole situation was a nightmare for me being that my mechanic was all the way in San Diego, it was the middle of the night and had no where to turn. But, thank god for Rod at City Wide Auto! Being I left it with a random mechanic shop in a different city I wasn't sure if I'd get one of those rip off mechanics who are awful to deal with or someone who genuinely cares about taking care of the issue at hand and would be honest about what the problem was and really take care of my vehicle. Being they were closed Saturday and Sunday I got a call from Rod early Monday morning who gave me the rundown on what happened, what needed to be fixed and how he could help me. Not only that, he was truly understanding of my situation being down in San Diego and what I had went through so he even threw me a discount which saved me a few hundred dollars. Which was above and beyond cause it ended up being quite an expensive fix (power steering, flush, alignment and labor). Labor was the most expensive which I totally get cause it's a 7-8 hour job. He was able to get it fixed in one day! Since I had to Amtrak back up to get the car he even hid the keys for me in a secluded place so that I would make sure to be able to get my car back that night since I'd be showing up after hours. I personally want to thank Rod and his team on here for being honest with quick communication and diligent/quick work to make sure I was well taken care of. It was such a massive weight off my shoulders after everything I had been through in that whole ordeal. Couldn't thank he and his guys enough! If you're in that area and looking for a great shop who will take great care of you and your vehicle I wouldn't hesitate one bit to take it to these guys. Finding good mechanics is hard these days and these guys at City Wide are honest, hard working men who won't BS you and get the job done quick with diligence and fast communication. Started hearing bearing noise under the hood of my car (2007 Shelby GT) and assumed the water pump was failing, so I brought it to Citywide to diagnose. They have been my default car mechanics for many years. After keeping my car overnight, they diagnosed a bearing failure in the snout of the supercharger. Joe and I talked at length about the best course of action. In no way did I want to buy a whole new supercharger ($15K!) and Joe didn't know of a Whipple repair facility. I asked the members of a group I belong to (Team Shelby), and a couple of them recommended a shop in Iowa. Joe appreciated the info, contacted them for me, and ran with it from there. He handled everything, even shipping the unit. All the work was done to perfection, even though it took almost four months because of Covid and the backlog at the supercharger repair shop.
