Tony was one of the first people to respond, and gave a thorough breakdown of the film he uses and the projected cost. I got about six different quotes across Orange County and parts of the Inland Empire and Tony's quote was one of the most competitive. I think one of the reasons for that is that he uses a very strong performing film that compares neck to neck against the big 3 film producers (3M, Llumar, Xpel) but doesn't pass on the marketing and branding costs to consumers in the form of inflated pricing. In short, with the film that Tony uses, you're getting the same performance, aesthetics, heat rejection, etc., but at a lower price point. It was super easy to schedule an installation day and time with Tony. He was flexible to make it work with my schedule. The quoted time he said it would take is pretty much exactly how long it took and he managed to actually arrive early in order to get set up on time. As with any tinting job I don't think anyone is ever going to be 100% perfect and if they're saying they're going to be, I think that's just a bold-faced lie. I think if you go into this looking for a 95%+ job, you're going to be very happy with Tony's work. The other 5% are oftentimes really out of his control: glass imperfections, windows missing sealant, dirty work environment in the house, etc. We got this work done right before the heat wave got really intense and I can attest that the film and installation that Tony did made a world of a difference. If you're on the fence about home window tinting because of the capital outlay, just remember I don't think you'll ever regret getting tint on your windows (unless you go for a super dark or reflective aesthetic and change your mind later) but you will likely regret not getting tint on your windows when you're feeling the heat on your skin and the furniture and floors heating up in the sun. Pay for it now, feel the pain in your wallet once, and maximize the time you get to enjoy the benefits of your window tint.

Ryan was knowledgeable, professional and took the time to answer all of my questions without ever making me feel pressured and even got me in sooner than I expected. I went with 20% XPEL XR Black on my 2026 Mercedes AMG GLE 53 to match my car and the tint looks incredible. The color blends almost perfectly with the OEM factory privacy glass giving the vehicle a clean, factory-installed appearance. One thing I really appreciate is their pricing. The quote they give you is the price you pay no extra charge for using a credit card, no surprise taxes added at the end and no hidden fees. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about other tint shops I've used in the past. They showed me why quality urethane adhesive matters, why proper preparation is so important, and why rushing a windshield installation can create problems down the road. They quoted me way under anyone else that I had called prior to going with them. I will recommend A-1 Muffler Express to all of my friends and family. They all make you feel that you're part of the family. They offered me coffee and cold water while I waited for my car to be done. At the appointment, Bradley was incredibly thoughtful - he listened closely to all the research I had done on products that met my requirements (maximizing privacy, enough light for plants, and heat rejection). He actually proposed a product that I was not aware of from Vista that met all our needs even better than any I had already found! Bradley measured up and sent out an estimate super quickly, and the price was great, especially for the premium Vista product. There was a slight hiccup when I discovered that the film he recommended might have a small amount of metal that might affect signal reception in the house (we live in an area with notoriously poor signal). Bradley instantly offered to do additional research with his distributor, and he got back to me the next day with additional information that put me at ease. Once we signed the proposal, we were scheduled for installation within a few days. The installation team couldn't have been nicer, more knowledgeable, neater, cleaner, or more efficient. The two of them took care of a large number of windows PLUS some extra windows with leftover film in less than 8 hours. Oh and they were great about making sure the front door was closed after they were told we have 3 cats - as a pet parent, this matters so much when you have work done in the house! We are thrilled with the result. No bubbles (even though we know they disappear as the film cures over multiple weeks) and we could feel the difference in heat transfer instantly. It's gonna be a much better summer because of the film. The privacy improvement is significant, and the plants are still getting plenty of light; having said that, I promised Bradley I'd come back to update this review with the results so that plant parents out there could feel comfortable about having options for film products. If you're considering having film installed in your house, don't hesitate to give CA Tint Crew a call!

These guys are true pros! I brought in my 1999 Mercedes SLK to get the back and side windows…read moretinted. Of course, my luck struck and the convertible top stopped working today, which made accessing the rear window extremely difficult since it couldn't be put halfway down. To make matters harder, there are two tabs on each side that make getting into the corners almost impossible (see picture). Lino was super upfront and explained that without the top opening, it would be a tough job and he couldn't guarantee a 100% bubble-free installation. But after about three hours, it came out perfect! He pointed out a few tiny imperfections that will dry up and disappear as it cures, but reassured me that if anything is still there after a week, I can just bring it back and he'll fix it. What impressed me most is that even though the original quote assumed the top would come down to make the labor easier, he didn't charge me a dime extra for the additional effort. I highly recommend Top Tint Shop! They are super honest, friendly, and skilled at what they do. Plus, the waiting room is really comfortable, featuring a big puffy leather couch and complimentary snacks. I'll definitely be back to bring my wife's car to get the side windows tinted as well.

My previous go-to mechanic tripped me with a quote of $575 for the valve gasket cover replacement (I assumed they meant the entire thing, not the rubber seal). I reached out to the owner, Mike, for a quote on window tinting, and he responded quickly, making the process smooth from the start. When I arrived, Mike's son was incredibly helpful, walking me through the various tint options and explaining their recommendations and pricing in detail. The other 5% are oftentimes really out of his control: glass imperfections, windows missing sealant, dirty work environment in the house, etc. We got this work done right before the heat wave got really intense and I can attest that the film and installation that Tony did made a world of a difference. If you're on the fence about home window tinting because of the capital outlay, just remember I don't think you'll ever regret getting tint on your windows (unless you go for a super dark or reflective aesthetic and change your mind later) but you will likely regret not getting tint on your windows when you're feeling the heat on your skin and the furniture and floors heating up in the sun. Pay for it now, feel the pain in your wallet once, and maximize the time you get to enjoy the benefits of your window tint.
