Got a peanut butter cookie. It was really gross and left a bitter aftertaste. Will not be going here again.

I got the tiramisu latte, and I did wish it was a little sweeter but no real complaints on that. The cream cheese garlic bread was so so good. It's not that easy to find as I didn't see a sign on the storefront except for a chalkboard outside. Perhaps they are getting a new sign? The place is very clean with neutral tones but smaller than I was expecting. There are a few small tables and then the large counter with all the goodies at the back. And there are a lot of goodies to choose from! Besides the cube shaped croissants, and one wheel croissant, there are also oblong croissants in many flavors like strawberry, pistachio, chocolate, hazelnut and more. There are also desserts in the cold case to the right and some savory items like garlic cream and hot dogs in croissant to the left. Since we were here during brunch time, I got a savory item - a garlic, cheese and ham bun - as well as a pistachio cube. My friend got the pepperoni pizza croissant. While there are lots of coffee drinks and milk teas/boba teas on the menu, I asked if they had hot tea. They said they do not, which I think is a miss. Maybe they will add that soon? Instead, I got a Mango Green Tea and my friend got a Strawberry Green Tea. Let me tell you, everything was so good! I had my garlic bun first and it was great. Then I had the pistachio cube and it was filled with a light pistachio whipped cream - delish! I'd love to come back and try their other items.

The candied pecans gave it a contrasting sugared crunch making it really addicting to eat, and the candied oranges rounded out the flavors. I hope they'll keep bringing this cookie back!

I didn't realize that before ordering, so that definitely explains part of why this wasn't for me. Red velvet is usually my birthday cake, so I've tried it from quite a few places over the years. I personally prefer a softer, fluffy cake with a noticeable cocoa flavor and a tangy cream cheese frosting. Gideon's version was very different from that. The color was much more intensely red than I personally like, and I felt like I could taste the coloring. The texture of my slice also felt more wet/dense than moist and fluffy. There was plenty of frosting, but the cream cheese flavor was much more subtle than I prefer. I know this cake has a lot of fans, so I think this really comes down to style and personal preference. If you prefer a more traditional cocoa-forward red velvet with tangy cream cheese frosting, just know that this one is quite different. Elegant, glossy, and almost too pretty to eat. Almost. Taste & Texture: 4/5 -- This cake is RICH rich. Deep, dark chocolate, decadent layers, and the kind of cake where you take a bite and need a moment of silence afterward. The cake itself? BLISS. Moist, luxurious, chocolatey perfection. My only little "ehhh" was the texture of the glaçage drip. Personally, it wasn't my favorite mouthfeel--but listen, that did NOT stop my fork from continuing its ministry. If you like your chocolate cake dark, decadent, rich, and a little sexy... baby, this is the move. Basically, this isn't "lemme grab a little piece of cake." This is "close the blinds, cancel my plans, and leave me alone with this chocolate decadence." Chocolate Duet Cake: 4/5 Would absolutely commit chocolate sins again.
