(HEAD INJURY) Paid a large Amount out of pocket, in full, staff was still rude. Doctor told me I had a concussion, I needed to take days off, take over the counter meds, rest, Ice pack regiment for my head, and said no driving but decided not to put any of this information on my paper work. I had to return 3 times to get all my correct discharge paper work after playing tennis with the receptionist because she wanted to know why I needed a full discharge debriefing. Unbelievable, if you value your dollar, don't visit here, very unprofessional. I have been debating on writing this review on this place, but finally decided to do so because people need to know how this place is run and might choose to go receive their care elsewhere. On June 1, 2018 shortly after 1:30am. I came to Cypress Creek ER, because I thought I was having a heart attack. When I came into the facility, you could see that I was clearly under distress. I could barely talk, had shortness of breath and I thought I was going to faint. I went to the registration counter and told them I was having a heart attack, pain in my chest and i was in tears. The ED Registration clerk asked me for my insurance card, which I threw my purse on the table and stated "I can't breathe". Both registration clerk and the RN behind the counter told me to have a seat and to find my insurance card. I mustered up the little bit of strength I had and told her that if I step back I am going to faint. Neither the RN nor the registration clerk budged. If it wasn't for the Black EMT who was there with them, who urged them to get a wheelchair. Finally I was taken in the back and treated. The doctors that was on duty was excellent and got right on it. The symptoms that were presented seemed to fit the script of a heart attack. After running test, receiving an EKG and IV fluids; it was determined that I wasn't having a heart attack and that my symptoms were something worse. Doctor ordered an CT scan and it was determined that I had pneumonia in both lungs; and that I could have died if I wasn't treated. Thank goodness for the doctor on duty that night and that EMT who was behind the desk to save my life. If those people were not there, I would have died due to the negligence of the RN and the registration clerk. After talking with the day time staff and doctor who took good care of me, they all learned that I am a healthcare professional and shared with them my expertise in healthcare compliance, regulations, etc. My healthcare advice to Cypress Creek ER is as follow: Those two staff members (RN and ED registration clerk) need to be reprimanded, because they do not understand that patient care comes first over insurance card and verification. If I would have coded (died), my family would have a clear case of medical negligence on this ER. Not only that, this is clearly a JCO (Joint Comission) violation, due to patient safety was jeopardized by staff's failed attempt to do their job. I will give kudos to the ED doctor on duty that night, along with the EMT that night for saving my life on this day. Also, all of the day time and swing shift staff who provided superior customer service and excellent care. Cypress Creek ER needs an overall from top to bottom. read more

Poor quality of pediatric patient examination. Took my 5 year old who is running a high temperature. I requested a strep culture and they did not check. They simply checked her vital signs and did a flu swab then sent us on our way with a bill for $250 and no diagnosis. The next day we elect to go to a walk in urgent care who immediately test her for a strep and it comes back positive. My child could have already been on antibiotics for 24 hours at this point had cypress Creek ER done their job. Not recommended for pediatric assistance! read more

Buyer Beware. These people are unethical business owners. They used Sara Cantu to file a lien against me regarding an auto accident on behalf of Cypress Creek ER stating I owed them due to an auto accident. They thought they were in for a big payday so I am assuming that was their reasoning behind this whole ordeal. This is after they had already been notified that it was a hit and run where I was solely responsible and had been given my personal insurance information for payment. My insurance company even PAID them before a letter was sent to me regarding a lien. They have since sent me no bill requesting payment and only filed a lien against me for who knows what amount. They sent me a letter regarding this matter and didn't even state how much the lien was for. They have sent no paperwork showing what was billed and what I still owed. These people have horrible business practices and I would steer clear from them completely!! read more

The bad reviews aren't kidding guys. There's a reason they have signs trying to convince you to come in. I will say all staff was friendly besides Dr. Nguyen who was there during the morning shift. I came in for an earache and was seen right away however, I was confused as to why I needed labs for something that was obviously an earache (this was partly my fault for going to an ER and not an urgent care). I asked the phlebotomists (who was friendly) if I could speak to the doctor before she drew labs and she agreed. I worked for an ER so I was confused as to why I needed labs for an earache. I asked him why I needed labs and he condescendingly said "This is an emergency room". He also proceed to look at my ear for maybe 1 second total and was like Oh yup that's inflamed. If it was so easy to diagnose why did you feel the need to run an IV on me? He really needs to work on his rapport with his patients. It seemed like he was bothered that he had to answer a question like that isn't part of his job. Any who, would avoid this place. My son came in for a dislocated shoulder and everyone here was so nice and so helpful. My son is only 15 and he was in alots of pain and scared . Dr Patel was awesome he made sure to talk to him about what was going to happen when it was time to put his shoulder into place . Dr Patel was so patent and made my son feel at ease . I was super happy that he was able to put my son's shoulder back into place with very minimum pain . I highly recommend this emergency and center and Dr Patel. read more

So I have an infection in a broken tooth. My oral surgeon and Family doctor are both out...Hey its Christmas Eve. I knew the location of Cypress Creek ER and noticed the huge sign out front....2 Minute Wait. I go in sign in and complete all my paper work and provide my insurance. I ended up waiting approx 45 minutes but honestly didn't mind. While waiting I watched as 2 patients one who had a car accident claim and another work related were both told to go to another hospital. Wow..that should have been an indicator to me...to run like hell. But I waited. Finally they called me back....a nurse came in and questioned me. We went through the usual Q & A. After about 15 minutes this short Asian doctor walked in. He wanted to know what he could do for me. I informed him of the known infection and what antibiotics worked for me. He rudely interrupted me and told me to back up...making a annoyed look in doing so...stated loudly why are you hear right now! I reminded him that I had just told him why. He took out a tongue stick looked in my mouth and said yes, you have an infection. You're gums are inflamed. So he told me he needed to do blood work, indicated it was required by law with infections..stated he needed to check my sugar. He also stated that he must give me IV pain medication to help with inflammation. I told him that I'd really just like an antibiotic and be on my way. He told me no...that in order to get the antibiotic I had to have these other tests done. I told him I wasn't in pain and didn't need any pain meds or IV. He also said he needed to do blood work to see if I had a infection. I reminded him that he had already visualized the infection and did not want to pay for things I deemed unnecessary. His response was no...we already verified your insurance. You have no co-pay. As he was talking I stood up preparing to leave. He kept saying so you gonna do these yes..then I give you an antibiotic. I told him no and shame on him because it's doctors like him that drive up insurance costs. As I'm leaving he told me I has to sign out AMA..Against medical Advise. I looked at him and told him I didn't have to sign a dam thing. I then told him I would be contacting my insurance carrier about rejecting their claim. He told me he had already treated me that they must pay.....nope just called them. They will be rejecting the claim and looking into allegations made against this doctor. Guys this doctor knew what he was doing. He was trying to inflate my bill for things that didn't need done. He didn't want to treat a simple tooth infection so he was looking for reasons to run tests to bill my insurance carrier. He knew if he had to give me pain meds my level of care needed would be higher which means he can charge more. Well Dr. Wen, I've also completed a complaint with the Texas Medical Board! read more

This place is horrible. Dr Johnathan Hemmer is doing Insurance Fraud. We was there yesterday with my sister came in for Dehydrated and low iron count. Dr Hemmer immediately told her she needs to be admitted in the new Providence Hospital for blood transfusions. Then he ordered on her CT Scan, MRI, and Ultrasound, EKG and Echo totally not related to her symptoms. EMS famed and transferred her to Providence hospital where he said they were ready and waiting on her. We refused to go to Providence hospital but in forced that she did. Providence hospital Dr's didn't know why she was there, nor they they have results. Dr Hemmer total FRAUD. read more

This place is a straight up RIP OFF! If you have good insurance, they will suck it dry and bill for every dollar times $50,000. I went there and required no major treatment...just IV and a couple tests and my insurance company was presented with a $65,000 bill. I will not be going back.....ever (unless I am incoherent)!!!!!!!! I don't care if the insurance company is paying the bill, this is taking advantage and the reason why insurance is so high as it is. I can understand legitimate charges but this is outrageous! I'm mad as hell and I don't even owe the money....it's just the damn principle. Went to the 2920 location for what turned out to be kidney stones. I was in horrible pain. The nurse seemed to be inexperienced and slow. Anyone that that has had kidney stones knows how painful it is yet it took them an unbelievable amount of time to finally get me some pain relief. No sense of urgency at Urgent Care. The doctor seemed competent. Once the pain had subsided and a CT scan showed the stone was moving, I was prescribed Norco to take the next day. If you don't pass the stone you're probably going to experience the same pain that you did initially. The stone had not yet passed and upon trying to fill my prescription I was told that the prescription pad it was written on which wasn't valid for class C medicines like Norco. Tried to get the emergency room to rewrite the prescription on the correct pad but they told me they couldn't do it because they didn't have that pad and they only have that one doctor. This place is open 24 hours seven days a week. And they only have one doctor? Oh please. Do yourself a favor and don't go here. I still don't have any pain meds from them and they don't seem to care. read more

SAME PEOPLE who goes back and forth to each building, laughing and chatting when i come in and ask IS THIS CONNECTED TO THE URGENT CARE , ER NEXT DOOR , they say yes and when i say i was waiting and no one came , this is the worst care I ever experience, NO CARE.. THE Spanish lady up front at the desk started arguing with me about ER and URGENT care. and it was crazy the nurses and maybe the Dr just stood there looking, NO ONE SAID I AM SORRY FOR THE DELAY HOW CAN WE HELP NOW...
