Great doctors and nurses that saved my life!!! Friendly and caring staff. Clean hospital.

I give 1 star JUST because of some of the midwifes in the team; Everyone, and I truly mean, almost 98% of the people I had interaction with, lack accountability, responsibility and profesionalism. From the scheduling team, to the "patient advocate", to the "patient liason /guest relations" I MEAN EVERYONE and ultimately, NOBODY IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING. The billing department for SEVERAL WEEKS in a row, closing or leaving early and even when asked at 3:45pm to be transferred to the guest relations department to complain, THE GUEST RELATIONS HAS LEFT EARLY AS WELL! I have been under their care from week 9 to week 33 of my pregnancy and I tell you, I just want my child to be born so I dont EVER have to ever have anything to do with Houston Methodist Willowbrook. Im too far along to be accepted into a new practice for my birth and that is the only reason why I am still here. They "overlook" small details that, prevents insurance coverage and you find out after the fact or , like me , at 33 weeks, when its too late to transfer care to another provider. PLEASE save yourself a BIG headache and possibly a mental breakdown and go to another hospital. read more

I'm not sure of all Methodist systems, but I am fully aware of this location from decades of visits. Let me start with the ER department. Great there is an officer who sits at the entrance BUT not all of them are attentive. Don't dare to bring weapons. The ones who are attentive will ask you. There is security outside the ER department. The process of admissions in ER NEEDS to change. A patients who come in critical conditions should be ALLOWED to have a family member with them by their side. This is not allowed til patient gets ER room. This hospital ER is always always overcrowded. Personal opinion, I honestly don't know why people choose to come here when the wait time is unacceptable longer than 5-8 hrs if you're lucky. I would choose differently after this terrible experience. read more

I had a procedure there yesterday and really appreciated how quickly the nurses responded to my call button when I rang it. Also check in at the front desk was quick and waited barely a minute to get someone to help me. When I went Into the department to have my procedure a nurse welcomed me to the department. Each nurse that took care of me did so with care and dignity. They also tried to calm me down, as I was nervous about the procedure. All went well. The sleep doctor was really nice. He gave me some numbing medicine before the sleep medicine and it helped. I liked the fact that I was totally asleep for the procedure. I highly recommend the staff here. read more

I stayed overnight in their Sleep Center. It was like a mini-spa night. My sleep monitor tech was Eva, she took the very BEST care of me! AAAAA++++ Every attention to detail was provided. In case you forget to pack an overnight bag, they've got you! They provide toothbrush, toothpaste, shower wash, lotion, towels and a great hot shower, refreshments, snacks, and coffee with a granola bar in the AM. I highly recommend this sleep center for anyone struggling with sleep apnea or the like. I had a talk with a former patient of theirs, he said they saved his life. read more

I went to the ED on 6-23-2026 for abdomen pain and irregular heartbeat! I was never out in a room! The EKG did show an irregular heartbeat! They did a CT SCAN and DR SCOTT THOMAS WISENBORN MD lied and said my CT SCAN was perfect and he said he's also a radiologist and read it himself! My wife and our family were here for the morning, waiting for our granddaughter to give birth. It all went off well, healthy big baby and mom is doing well. The hospital is quite beautiful inside, nicely decorated with lots of wall art and also some nice statues in the main North Pavilion entry. read more

This place is horrible. From the check in to the treatment or counseling in the waiting area to waiting extended period of time for test results. I have never in my life been to such an emergency room with such bad and terrible experience. This place needs better management with better policies. Just awful and horrible service. Check in is fast and to the point. Every employee I was in contact with was sincere, knowledgeable and professional. I couldn't expect more from a hospital. I do have one negative comment and that is from the imaging department. The lady was very rude and shouted loud enough for everyone in the waiting area to stop what they were doing and look at me. She shouted "We don't accept Well Care" Very embarrassing. I had checked in, paid my co-payment and was ready to go. I never have gotten my co-pay back! read more

MC I called the ER on 5/5/26 around 1230am to get a update on my brother who had been transferred there by EMS earlier that day. He had been bleeding profusely from his permacath site that had been repaired a couple of hours prior to his bleeding. I called the ER three times and was placed on hold each time. The second call a nurse answered the phone and was provided the necessary information required from a responsible party that is listed. That nurse put me on hold for over 20 minutes and never returned to the phone. I informed the nurse that the hospital was requesting to speak with family since my brother was too weak and drowsy to sign the consents for treatment. My sister is also listed as a contact person and neither of us received any updates on his condition. My sister called as well and never received a phone call back either after being told by the nurse she would call back. Thank God his condition did not change for the worst. Failing to notify family when necessary is negligence on the hospital's part. This is unacceptable by anyone's standards and needs to be addressed by upper management so that it does not continue to happen. read more

Overall, I had a great experience. The best part was when I first started the surgical process. I had an aide (I believe that's what she said her position was) named Tina (I hope I'm remembering her name correctly; it was a stressful day). She is the type of woman anyone would love to have as their mother. She began our time together by saying she likes to create spa experience. When we entered the room, she asked if I would like spa music and what scent I preferred. She completely put me at ease the entire time, making me comfortable. At the time, I didn't think to get her information, but I will try to find her and send her a token of my appreciation. read more

If I could rate this hospital a 10/10 I would! The Labor and delivery team to my post team was and is amazing!! Helga, Shauna, Briana, Tameka and Lauren were such amazing nurses during my stay! I had preeclampsia server case and they took my girl out at 34weeks and 2 days. The nicu team here for my 3rd baby but second Nicu baby exceeded my expectations again. These women are truly the what makes these experiences special and easy going, having a preemie baby isn't always the best option but when necessary it's amazing to know that there are amazing women like this who will make it all the time better! My 97 year old mother was admitted 1/30/26 with a ureteral blockage and severe kidney infection and large hematoma She had a stent placed, and was in IMU due to hypotension, severe anemia, pylonephritis, and CHF She was discharged to Encompass health on 2/3/26 after just 4 days of IV antibiotics ( standard is minimum of 5-14 days) She was transported back to Methodist on 2/19/26 and had an elevated WBC and bilateral pyelonephritis ( unilateral prior to initial discharge on 2/3) and was sent back to Encompass rather than admitting her with this severe infection Did I mention that she's 97? It appears they were trying to kill her off rather than help her! read more

There is a methodist to my madness, I assure you. We came here with Barbi's Aunt not too long ago. Like some of the others we had a pretty bad experience here, and we didn't think this emergency room was worthy of the high rating. We've had this problem in Houston at the Christian hospitals, and I'm not sure why that is considering the Christian spirit and all that stuff. My brother in law was taken to the ER of this hospital after slipping and falling today. My wife was called in while he was in the hallway to provide more medical history and was then asked to go back to the waiting room and that they will get in touch with her once he gets admitted or whatever else needs to be done. We waited for about 5 hours and heard nothing. So we approached one of the nurses to check on him, and was told that he has been transferred to a trauma hospital, memorial hermann hospital in the medical center . They transported him without informing us or even letting us know what was wrong with him or what the reason was for transferring him. We confronted the physician and charge nurse regarding this. We would still be sitting in the waiting room without knowing anything if we did not speak up. We are totally disappointed with this hospital that we used to look up to. Both me and my wife were in the medical field and my wife is even a retiree of this hospital of which she was very proud of. NOT ANYMORE!!! I would post a 0 star on this hospital ER. read more

I believe with certainty that they saved my dad's life... The doctors and nurses (overall) are absolutely outstanding. Special thanks to Dr. Phuong, who performed emergency surgery on my dad, and to his entire team.... Because of your skill, expertise, and care, the outcome was better than expected. A few notes & feedback: (*Perhaps Methodist sees this and recognizes stellar service as well as areas for improvement.) -Hospitality is always very kind & accommodating. Thank you for keeping a steady flow of things and managing special requests. -The 6th floor nurses are by far the best. We were moved to different floors, including the 5th & 7th, and the others weren't as attentive. The 6th floor had some of the hardest working and empathic nursing team I've ever encountered. - The ER is a hot mess. The floors are filthy and trash is always everywhere. I understand that this department is considerably the most hectic, but a little extra upkeep or effort would be a welcoming touch. Many of the nurses here either have a poor attitude (that makes going through a scary situation or difficult circumstance that much harder) or they are new-graduates who don't seem to know what's going on or seem unmotivated to do their work. - Speaking of mess, the coffee areas need to be attended to/monitored better. Perhaps there's an underlying attempt to discourage people from self-serve coffee, but every floor's coffee (and microwave) nook was in disarray. No cups, no coffee, lots of trash & spillage... unkept & dirty. - The front desk/visitor screening that was in place during the COVID-19 situation was poorly managed. I understand the importance of special protocols and enforcing them, but depending on who was sitting at the desk the lines/waiting either ran smoothly or seemed like chaos. - Security was excellent & on site 24/7. No matter if it was the middle of the night or during daytime, we always felt safe & secure. Doors are locked outside of visiting hours, plus the parking lot is well lit & monitored. - Overall, the hospital is clean & well maintained. They're a scam I should have gone to Herman Memorial downtown. All they wanna do is get her admitted so they could charge up my insurance. we went in for pain. She was having on her forehead and end up the doctor trying to say she had a heart attack without even assessing her heart or anything. They are a scam. Do not go there take your business somewhere else all they wanna do is put you in a bed so you can watch TV all day and collect off your insurance. read more

On 09/30/2025 at 9:00 PM, I visited the Houston Methodist Willowbrook Emergency Department. During my visit, only basic vitals were taken. I was then seen by Nurse Practitioner Scott Thomas Wiesenborn. When asked about the reason for my visit, I explained that I was experiencing lower back and abdominal pain. I also informed him that I was 8 weeks pregnant and wanted to ensure that my HCG blood levels were not decreasing. I believed I had mentioned that I had recently been seen at Legacy Community Clinic. I was feeling overwhelmed, devastated, and in complete shock. I came to the ER seeking a second opinion, as advised by my employer. Later, NP Wiesenborn returned and said, "You think I can't read other facilities' notes?" He then accused me of lying to a nurse practitioner and claimed I was not experiencing abdominal or lower back pain. He assumed I had already taken the medication prescribed to me by Dr. Stanley Wright at Legacy Clinic. He went on to say, "That's what the pills do -- they cause back pain during a miscarriage," implying that I had taken the medication, when in fact I had not. I had deliberately avoided taking any medication because I wanted a second opinion before proceeding with any treatment. During this interaction, NP Wiesenborn humiliated me and laughed at me in the presence of staff and other patients. His behavior was highly unprofessional and deeply hurtful, especially given the emotional state I was in after receiving such distressing news. I chose not to become defensive, as I was already in shock and trying to process everything. I felt completely neglected and disrespected due to his unprofessional conduct. Furthermore, I strongly disagree with the false documentation he made regarding my visit. Because of the way I was treated and his statement that "there wasn't much to do," I decided to leave the emergency room. read more

FYI they will separate family members. They get away with saying they have low ER wait times by taking in only the patient and putting them in big rooms where they sit in chairs directly next to other patients with who knows what symptoms and consider that as being "in a room". They won't let your family be with you. Most of the staff are the regular amount of ER-irritable and the doctors are nice but don't go there if you would like for a family member to be with you while waiting or getting treatment unless you know for sure you will actually be admitted to the hospital. SO MANY HIPAA violations just in the ER waiting area and "treatment area". This place is ridiculous and needs to be reported. read more

Brought my wife here after a terrible experience with MD Anderson.. Most of the nurses were good but the doctors mainly the ICU doctors were terrible.. Very shady and cutthroat a few were straight up Liars.. My wife was battling cancer and from the beginning when we got there the doctors basically wanted nothing to do with my wife.. Telling me things like "You should just take her home and let nature take it's course" Some of the doctors were mad because I didn't want to just let my wife die without fighting.. One female doctor even came in and said "You know she's not going to make it right" It was like she took pleasure in saying it almost to try to hurt me because I didn't want to do what they were saying.. My wife was still in ICU fighting and then all of a sudden they wanted to take the chest tubes out being used to drain fluid.. So one of the doctors I believe her name was Dr Francis came in saying she was going to remove them and asked me to go to the waiting room.. Of course I didn't want to leave the room because I didn't trust any of them alone with my wife.. But basically I had to leave she came out about an hour later (shouldn't have took that long to remove them) Saying what she had done and that I could go back.. She was acting very strange and nervous.. When I went back all of a sudden my wife was starting to bleed from her trache very bad.. I then asked to see the doctor and I told her this didn't start until she did whatever she did after I was asked to leave the room.. And again she was acting very strange very nervous like she knew she had done something.. My wife almost died that day from blood loss that was on Sunday my wife died that Tuesday morning.. I can't prove it yet but I truly believe that doctor did something because my wife's liver was working then all of a sudden after they removed the chest tubes her liver shut down. They wanted my wife out of there and they were mad that I didn't want to just let her die.. So I truly believe they took matters into their own hands that's why she was so adamant that I Leave the Room.. But the doctor who put them in 2 weeks prior let me stay and watch him do it.. I hate that I ever took my wife there basically a death sentence.. And it was other patients family members I was talking to on the ICU floor that had some of the same concerns about those doctors.. Two of those patients died as well.. Trust me do not take your loved ones there something I will regret for the rest of my life.. read more

WORST HOSPITAL EVER!! My dad was brought here in an ambulance because he had a stroke. He was completely fine the whole week before he had a stroke. Employees stated he tested positive for COVID and refused to provide us with his covid results. THEY WOULD NOT LET MY FAMILY SEE HIM IN THE ICU because he had "COVID" we were not able to see my dad until he passed away a couple of weeks later. STAFF DOES NOT CARE NURSES DO NOT CARE DOCTORS ARE INSENSITIVE AND WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY WERE DOING TO MY DAD SINCE WE WERE UNABLE TO SEE HIM. This hospital STILL has NOT provided us with any positive COVID results since my dad has passed. DO NOT bring your loved ones here for an emergency. THEY DONT CARE!! Staff and doctors are OK but most nurses are sarcastic (with a few exceptions) and you learn not to dare ask for any kind of help. It seems understaffed and the nurses particularly, don't seem happy to be working there. Some CNA's are very sweet and helpful, and some of the employees on the lower end of the pay scale. But the nurses are very grumpy and are always saying that they have people who are sicker than my loved one, who need attention. They make one excuse after another for not attending to those they do not seem to feel deserve attention. I can never, in good conscience, recommend this hospital to anyone. read more

So, I don't typically leave reviews but something really bothered me during my visit today and I hope someone who handles security or manages security there sees this. My care there wasn't my biggest complaint. The wait was about 3 hours, it was mid-level busy. But I was taken to triage and put in a back waiting room what seemed to be rather quickly. However, I was annoyed when I got there because parking was scarce. I circled the parking lot like 3 times, noticed there was valet so I went talked to a gentleman to see if it was offered to ER patients (which it was) BUT they said they couldn't help me because the lot was full. So he directed me to security in the actual ER building. Fine, so I park directly in front of ER (obviously I know it's not allowed but this is for a quick chat for directions on where to park right? He immediately says "ma'am, you can't park there!" I'm like "I know I know, I was directed by valet to come ask you where I can, I've circled the lot there's no parking." Another gentleman intervenes and he's like "ma'am there is, you have to go to the next lot and park by the portables over there to the left" Cool. I go park. Now, this is what pisses me off, I come back to check into ER and I can hear them laughing and making comments about my parking dilemma. Mind you when I walk in there are now 4 men and they are just staring at me awkwardly in the area before check in where you have to cross a security check point for guns and what have you.... So I say nothing and continue to check in and as I pass them they go on saying "I guess she found parking" hahaha "who does she think she is? Do we look like valet ? Hahahaha cracking jokes ! " How rude !!! There are people coming in here sick, visiting loved ones.... You have no idea what people are going through and the audacity to be rude over parking ??? Unprofessional. read more

I'm literally hospitalized right now and this place is a 3rd rate joke! I'm still in an ER room waiting on a bed. I pushed the buzzer for the nurse 30 minutes ago and I'm still waiting on a response. I know someone hears it because it sounds like a party right outside my door; so much for getting any rest! If they ever say they care about the patient, I would have to call them a liar. When I was afmitted last night, it took over an hour for someone to respond to the nurse's call button. They just kept silencing it; this went on for over an hour! Totally disgusted! read more

We've had about three separate experiences with Houston Methodist Willowbrook over the years. All for my aging grandmother, and each time, we left beyond satisfied with the level of patient care. The entire staff - nurses, doctors, aides, facilities - are all incredibly kind, compassionate, patient, hardworking and well trained. I overnighted on multiple occasions so I witnessed it all. Even the bedside manner from the doctors is great - shot out to Dr. Dollar. The *only* issue that's a known problem at this hospital is the wait time in the ER. There are a few other Houston Methodist hospitals in the area - some fairly new - that don't see as many patients and we could have possibly gotten in sooner. My experience at most hospitals or doctor offices has always been on the not so great side. I usually would have to wait 45 minutes to an hour because they overbook to make as much as possible. That was not the case here. Came in with a friend for an 8am blood test appointment before heading to the airport. Our flight was at 10:30 and the staff knew it. We arrived late... like at 8:15, but they took her right away. I mean that's pretty awesome of them to do that! What is even more awesome was that they called right at 2:30pm on the dot with her results. AWESOME SERVICE HERE! read more

Do not trust this hospital for behavior issues! My family member voluntarily checked in due to possible addiction to prescription pain killers, sleep deprivation, and stress from family crisis. Methodist had a doctor based in Austin conduct a thirty minute video interview and decided the family member was at risk of suicide. The patient has never attempted to harm themselves or others. Nonetheless Methodist recommended a three day voluntary commitment to a psychiatric unit. The family member complied, believing the doctors knew best. The facility chosen by Methodist is apparently a place for dangerous and violent patients. Once the family member was ushered behind locked security doors at check in and prior to any additional evaluation the staff informed us that it wasn't a three day interment but rather seven or more if they decided. The facility appears to be designed for violent, dangerous, and possibly criminal patients. I have my family member's shoe laces! The facility was obviously ill chosen for a patient with no history of violence or criminal activity. The environment is contributing to stress, not relieving it. We have been unable to leave the facility despite promises of voluntary participation. First actual medical examinations will commence today upon a patient who has already been damaged by their policies and treatment. We were very foolish to trust the staff at Methodist. read more

Nurses and all their system in ER is crazy terrible!!!! They don't even care about patient at all, they left client that have heart condition and have had history of chest cavities full of blood in prior visit, came in with symptoms of chest pain waiting for 5+ hours until we complained out loud and wanted to leave to different ER. Then they start doing something. I am feeling so sick even just talk about this hospital, 5 pages of complaints about this Methodist@ Willow brook location isn't not enough for what they did it to us. read more

I am coming from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and never have I ever experience such a filthy hospital who doesn't give a crap about their patients. I was here with my sister on the day of August 14, 2024, and when my sister got to the back they told her that she had to go in another room to do bloodwork because she was in the fast track area so when she got to the room do her blood work, it was dry up vomit on the walls. It was blood on the chair blood on the floor ! this hospital is filthy and being that the nurse seen the blood on the floor and the chair , she still told my sister to sit down , she wiped the chair off halfway, not thoroughly cleaning it for other patients and when my sister went to sit down, she still seen blood on the chair meaning that the lady didn't even clean it properly. do you know how much HIV hepatitis A B and C and lots of STDS is going around in the state of Texas for them to just have someone else's body fluids all over the place and not have it cleaned Properly is disgusting. I know that after every patient you have you supposed to clean up before the next patient come in this hospital is totally different.! They don't care because if they did, it Would be clean and they wouldn force someone to sit down on that nasty crap ! I know that hospitals aren't clean anyways, but to have doctors physician and nurses not to care about their patient safety hazard is mind blowing because I'm pretty sure Mika wouldn't want their mothers and fathers and kids to sit on anything like that but proceeded to put a white blanket on the bloody chair... the charge nurse kept telling me to sit down is that one who half cleaned the chair and got annoyed when I told her that it was still blood on the seat after she wiped it.
