Don't let this hospital fool you. This is not an urgent care. It's a full ER with ridiculous high prices, terrible service, and long long waiting even with an empty parking lot. I spent hours here for literally no apparent reason. The care was more like no one gave a crap we were here. This is a hospital intentionally here to trick all of us into thinking it's an urgent care. My advice is go somewhere else or at least go the real ER since it's the same experience with a hospital full of available doctors. read more

Imagine my surprise when 2 weeks later I received a bill for $500. When I called to dispute it they said there was nothing they could do because I was admitted even if it was for 30 seconds. Absolutely wonderful service from the time I arrived until I was transported. They were responsive and fast from the moment I arrived at the front desk. The location is very convenient, beautiful waiting area as well as spacious well kept rooms in the back. Staff kept me updated on every step in the process and I began to feel better right away. Mother was brought in after a fall. She suffers from dementia so she is not able to advocate for herself. She was seen for lacerations and observation for a concussion. During the exam no one noticed this gash in the crease of her lip. My sister noticed the gash the next day. Sister called to voice concern of the gash they asked said to bring Momma in. I took her into the center and waited for hour plus for the doctor to tell me that they would not do anything to address the issue because it was past 12 hours. Why would you waste our time and take my mother through the changes? The only thing the doctor did was give us a prescription for an anti-biotic. He could have done that over the phone. read more

Well it's flu season and wouldn't you know it, the youngest had a fever all day over the weekend. This was the closest urgent care location to the boys doctor so I gave them a try. I was greeted nicely. I came in at about 4am and taken back almost immediately. Now my little one was not cooperative. He didn't want to get on the scale. He didn't want to lay in the bed. It all worked out thanks to the wonderful RN's on staff! They were patient, gentle, and kind and friendly. Unfortunately he snagged that doggone fluB and was miserable for the rest of the week. But we made it through! The Sun has shined again on us. Just an FYI you have United Healthcare insurance they will not be taking your insurance after the 31st of DECEMBER 2019. read more

I Give 2 stars only for the Women Doctor I had on my first visit! My god , only if you knew your service was amazing. I wish I could remember your name but sadly, I don't . Hopefully you remember by reading this if you do I would love this to be heard ! I went here to this place in heartbreaking pain, I couldn't really describe! I have a Certain skin disease to where I get Example of the picture below, Sorry for the gruesome image . By my name is Kendrick Woodrow I came in here , and received the best care I could of received in my opinion she took her time and explained everything with me , she was patient and also very nice to me my god . I loved the experience and wanted to go back if I had a problem again . Sadly I did one day , the problem came back quicker than expectations and I had to . My friend took me I both times and he agrees , guy Dr I that took care of me the second time My god it was like the scariest day ever with a doctor! Just rude not emotions , he could careless about the shape I was in or how I felt , he was rushing me and telling me that he was busy and had too many patients while having a needle in my arm and my screaming saying please , to give me a second he then proceeded to my arm with the blade , not trying to sound dramatic or anything bc if you know me I'm not at all , the guy showed no remorse in my pain I was furious at this point ,he then began to press up on me like to kinda hold me still , I'm still screaming so gently hold my arm out against him telling him that he was hurting me and he didn't care he told me this I had to be this don't or I'd be in pain either way . Once I pushed my arm out he told me the I was going to hurt him and that strong I was going to hurt the both of us ! I then explained to the Doctor which I don't think he like but had to be said that , I've been to this location once before and the Women Dr , did not do it this way nor did she hurt me even if she didn't care she Dam sure acted liked it and i felt it after she put the numbing cream on the BOIL she SIMPLY GAVE ME ABOUT 3-5 mins and then came back and asked me how did it feel before she tried to cut me open !! This is a situation I don't ever really go to the doctor for I just go through the terrible pain at home when I can but I took a chance and this guy has scared me Soo bad ! I'm also in pain as in type this out every time I get one of theses boils I think of the pain and Terrible feeling and experience that guy left me with ! Wife has been under the care of KSF orthopedic, Friday she woke up in excruciating lower back pain, she called KSF and the doctor on call suggested she go to urgent care, which we did. We simply wanted some steroids and a little pain meds until she could get in next week at KSF. They did exam and the PA went to talk to doctor on call. They said she needed an MRI stat and would need to go to Willowbrook Methodist, they said they could transfer her via Ambulance, I said I could take here there, they came back and said it would be against medical advice and if we signed out insurance may not pay, told them we could not afford ambulance charge, PA went back to desk and then came back to say hospital would absorb cost, she waited for hours , then we discovered they were waiting for a room and she was being admitted for xray and MRI. None of this was necessary as she was ambulatory, this seemed like overkill , to add to census of hospital and milk insurance.... After a two day fiasco she got her steroids and pain pills , this place seems a little unethical, not what I'd expect out of Methodist. If I get a huge bill , might have to seek legal advice on this one. Don't let them use the AMA to hold you or your insurance carrier hostage !! I'd give 1/2 star if I could.. read more

Left in pain and was told to buy meds over the counter! My issue could have been maintained that night or at least I could have been given a ice pack. Brought my dad here because he was in excruciating pain. He could barely walk, his head was pounding, he was in pretty bad shape. They took him in and ran tests. Said they didn't see anything on the test results. Gave him some pain medicine that DID NOT help and sent him home in the same condition that he arrived. He literally fell into the backseat!! and his blood pressure was 236/119 prior to leaving!!!!! This was the first time coming and I definitely regret bringing him here. As a nurse, I know for a fact better care should have been given! After this I took him to the actual hospital and there was a totally different result on the tests, OF COURSE! Obviously the nurses and physicians here are pitiful. & I can only imagine what the bill from this place will be according to other peoples reviews. I'm sure it will be just as pitiful. The nicest staff! I went in last night to get checked up on after being in a really bad car accident on the 45 and they had me back there immediately, only waited 3ish minutes in the waiting room so they could get my room prepared. Got some x-rays and the wait for the results was not as long as they said and they definitely worked with urgency :) I went to an urgent care before who treated me super poorly and with no respect whatsoever, one of the receptionists laughed when I mentioned the reason being there which automatically made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. I would rate Methodist more than 5 stars if I possibly could. Obviously I went on some pretty sad circumstances but I felt so welcome and respected and I love and appreciate everyone who helped me last night, sadly I don't remember the name of my nurse but he was so fun and kind :) read more

I called on a Sunday morning about painful heartburn and asked if I could get in for an X-ray to check to see if something was causing my heartburn ( because I have been having it for awhile.)The lady on the phone said just come in right now. I said "I don't want to come in and waste your time just for you to tell me I have heartburn because I already know I do that is why I would like an X-ray done. She said "and I don't want to waste your time so come in, yes we can do an X-ray. So I went in just for the lady I'm guessing is Janet Gregory basically mocking me and laughing because I came in for heartburn. I told her I Came in for an X-ray and she said "X-rays are for bones. You think your going to die from heartburn? You won't. Why did you come to an emergency room for heartburn? She refused to help me. And said "I don't know what you want me to do." I went to this location after having a very bad ear infection and concern that I had perforated an eardrum. The staff were helpful and the doctor was competent. My main concerns were after the fact. 1) There is a sign in the waiting area and at checkin that the services process as an emergency room visit. This means that the copays and coinsurance were far larger than what I had anticipated. (That was my bad, but I think other people should be aware.) 2) The doctor's services also bill separately. 3) Even if you are an existing Houston Methodist Primary or Specialist care patient, they don't have your information, and it has to be transferred, so be prepared to take a bit longer. 4) Even if you are an existing Houston Methodist Primary or Specialist care patient, the billing system is completely separate so you can't login to their other portal to pay a balance, nor will it show there. For about 15 minutes of care with very good insurance and deductibles, the total came out to a little over $200, so be very aware when you go. After the fact, I probably would have gone to an urgent care, again my bad, but in this area it was hard to tell if that was an urgent-care type situation vs. an actual emergency room. I went to this location for some post-partum complications a week after having my son. I was in a lot of pain and was very scared. They took me right back and were quick and very kind and gentle. They ran all the appropriate tests and while they weren't able to fully resolve my issue they put my mind at ease and pointed me in the right direction. The facility was nice and clean also. He was diagnosed with Hand, foot and mouth along with strep throat. They also showed me an app called My Charts where I could go and follow the culture that was due in 3 days. 1st time there- they were amazing. 2nd time- absolutely horrendous. Mind you 1st visit was during the day with my daughter who has insurance, second was at night for me and I have no insurance. Split open face, punctured inner lip from my cat who was just running down the couch and attempted to jump over me. Pain was unreal. Doc looks at it says it's superficial and they will clean it. They did. Doc feels zero need to come back in to give me instructions. When asked to speak to her, she rolls in with attitude and short answers- very clear she doesn't want to answer questions. So I said "Fine, get out." "Get out?" She says. I say " Yes it's very clear you don't want to answer questions so get out" "I'll have security escort you out" is this woman's response. So the nurse who was giving me instructions and now can't finish is told to leave the room. My 14 yo daughter is with me mind you. We get outside with the security guard and I ask him "Are you kidding me?" He gives me this look and says there's a card with the woman who runs the place with her phone number on it- you should call her. I go to another er.. cat scratch.. automatic antibiotics because of the bacteria in their nails, two puncture wounds (not just the one inside my mouth... which must have been open when she misjumped and landed on my face), the one above my lip needed two tiny stitches or the scar would be bad they said. Rewashed the upper scratch with more than the saline solution they used at this crazy place. Doc said the upper one also looked too wide to heal correctly but not wide enough for stitches or glue so went with butterfly closures. Gave me all sorts of instructions as to how to care for it to try to prevent as much scaring as possible (the two cuts run from eye to lip). I have DIP with low dose opiates- meaning you give me even a little bit of an opiate - say Tylenol with codine- and I'm hospitalized for min two days for severe pancreatitis. I'm the only confirmed case in the US. But DIP is not unusual, the opiate part is. BUT the minute intake gets to those questions.. invariably from that point forward I'm treated like a drug addict.. who apparently can't take opiates and doesn't ask for pain meds. Huh. Not to mention- the ice worked beautifully and it seems strange with a swelling face and lip why I had to ask for it instead of it being offered. So yeah. Basically not happy. You go here and I'm giving maybe a 50-50 shot at getting the service we got the first time... if they've got one doctor on staff with an ego like that it means there's more. Good luck!! read more

PATIENTS BEWARE: This place is an EMERGENCY CARE NOT AN URGENT CARE!! There is a substantial difference and these people WILL NOT tell you that BEFORE they shove you into a room to be seen. I took my daughter in for what seemed to be a spider bite or something. They told us we would be seen and that we would be required to sign all the paperwork afterward. After what was about 2 minutes with the dr, who quickly said it's a simple infection, we were released to complete the paperwork. Only AFTER signing a half dozen consent forms and what not, we were finally told it would be a $300 co-pay!!!! I was shocked at the this and appalled by the fact we weren't given this information before hand so we could decide of our own free will if we wanted to be seen or move on to a more reasonable clinic. When I suggested that they should inform patients PRIOR to being seen, the only reply given me by the less than accommodating and understanding young desk clerk was "but sir, when you came in I asked what brought you into the emergency room today". REALLY?!?!?! I've been to an urgent care center once in the last 5-7 years. How in the world would I know the difference unless someone that is SUPPOSED to be the professional informs me. This was extremely UNPROFESSIONAL in every way and VERY misleading!!!!!! I have CERTAINLY learned a very valuable lesson regarding the medical industry!!! And I will NEVER return to this clinic!!!! read more
