I was a little apprehensive about how it would be to live onboard and drive such a big vehicle but Conrad and Derek armed us with all the information we needed and the Free Spirit was surprisingly easy to drive. We loved it and so did our dog, who we really appreciated being able to bring with us. The RV has everything you need already on board so we traveled light and didnt feel like we missed anything. I esp love this model because it has a screen door, so we were able to sleep with it open every night but not be attacked by mosquitos. I tried to work with the owner to rectify some incorrect charges and I was accused of having a learning disability. SMGDH The story goes like this: I recently booked a trip with Trekker Vans and it was, by far and away, the worst vehicle rental experience I have ever had. I returned the van in a perfectly fine condition (see attached photos), and with a full tank of gas, but was charged $100 in cleaning fees and fuel. The rental agreement stipulates that the van not be returned "excessively dirty" which I later realized was code for "Trekker Vans wants you to return it spotless, and will nickel and time you at their discretion." The gas tank was also full when I dropped it off, so I really have no idea where the fuel charge came from. I tried working with Nate to find an amicable solution but that simply did not work. He was myopically focused on proving his point versus hearing me out. I ultimately had to end the conversation when he accused me of having a learning disability. At that point, I realized there was no hope of being treated with any form of respect. If you want to be ripped off, talked down to, and insulted then go with Trekker Vans. Otherwise, go literally anywhere else.

Plenty of storage for two people and room for an extra person or child. I would definitely recommend this to any couple as a perfect tool to get away for a vacation. Tips- plan your route or campsite to accommodate for bathroom usage and showers.

We checked out van, had many cosmetic errors but nothing else was wrong with it. We made it the two weeks without any problems. Check engine light came on at one point but the Travellers Autobarn help section informed us it was just something to note upon return. The fridge would only keep out food cold half of the time but we were also traveling along the PNW in the winter and the fridge ran off solar panels so I believe it was just due to lack of power. More than enough propane for cooking every meal, only needed to fill up the water tank once halfway on the trip. Overall, a great budget van. Staff seemed to be helpful when needed and the van got us there and back without any major issues. If you're looking for the luxurious van life experience this isn't the vehicle for you. But if you have a long roadtrip planned and want to save money on sleeping arrangements, definitely choose this route. Excited to rent again on any future long haul trips!

The whole experience converted us for life and we can't do vacations any other way now. This was the first time we rented a camper van and the first time I ever drove one. I typically drive a Mini Cooper so this was a BIG jump in size for me. But STAN was surprisingly very easy to drive! I was worried that I wouldn't be able to reach the pedals at 5'1, but it was actually extremely comfortable and handled wonderfully. You can tell that the hosts have made thoughtful upgrades throughout the vehicle, including its drivability. The lounge in the back of the van is an upgrade and the bathroom door is too. Both made a significant difference in our experience with this particular Revel. I can't do it any other way! We spent 4 comfortable days in the van and had a great night sleep each time. My husband is 6'2 and fit/slept perfectly. Anh and Thuie are exceptional hosts as well. From the beginning of booking to the time we dropped off the van, they were super accommodating and communicative. On the day of pickup, Anh carefully walked us through everything, even though they had provided video tutorials a few days before. The in-person orientation was a must to get acquainted with everything! Thuie was also always quick to respond if something came up and they continued to help us find our own Revel. Talk about going above and beyond! #Vanlifing has been a dream of ours for a while and STAN really called out to us in its listing, reminding us that life is truly short. It also helped that it was pet friendly and modded with extra amenities. If you've been thinking about doing a van trip, do it with STAN and you're bound to fall in love.

Todd is the man, and his company is the place for off road and off the beaten path adventures…read more Whether or not you have an off road vehicle capable of some true trail and rock crawling and climbing, this is one outfit that can make it happen. Bring your own capable rig, or get one from Todd, either way your adventure is going to be unforgettable, and here are some reasons why. If you're not an regular overlander you'll either test your driving ability in his vehicle, or you'll test your own vehicle AND your abilities in one of the many canyons or along some of the jaw dropping trails and vistas throughout Death Valley. But at each stop you'll see amazing views and some wildlife along with Todd's insight and knowledge of the area, then handed a plate of an amazing chef prepared lunch, or quick snack while taking it all in. When i say snack, I don't mean a bag of nuts or Doritos, unless you want those things....I'm talking about a Chilled Citrus and Avocado salad, or Chilled Ahi Poke- while standing in the desert. Maybe some toast points and Albacore with Ponzu and crispy onions? What you don't get is an MRE in a box. I chose the Death Valley trip- I've never been there and was itching to get some desert night shots and get my Land Cruiser out into some real trails and canyon crawling. I thought my LC was set up for almost anything, but of course , i made of list of things i need after talking with Todd and doing some very cool trails and climbs- and of course setting up camp. Having a chef in tow is an amazing and relaxing- this is bougie and let bougie prevail once in a while- i'm in, all in. What's next?!

He was extremely informative, very responsive and really helped me come up with the best plan for the time of year and what we were looking to achieve. Todd also made sure we were well prepared for the trip with equipment, safety considerations and other preparations. He was very attentive to make sure our vehicles and gear list we're going to work successfully on the trip. 2. We opted to have a Chef along with us and it was well worth the extra cost. We had some dietary restrictions and they were very accommodating. The food was excellent and very appropriate for the trip. In addition, Barron, the expedition Cook was also highly experienced in over landing and was also a firefighter/EMT and he was super cool. 3. OMG! Death Valley was the expedition we decided on and cannot express enough how stunning, diverse and beautiful it is. There were lots of surprises along the way and happy Todd waited to show us and share them. 4. Todd was extremely professional (but very relaxed and casual in his approach). We learned so much from a technical standpoint with off-road traversing in the vehicles, shared lots of his wisdom and knowledge about over landing, and was just super fun to hang out with! I could go on and on but this isn't a novel, it's a review :-) If you are looking to do an off-road excursion I literally could not more highly recommend for points adventures. It gets really dark at night and you definitely need it for the cooking, reading, and toilet. There is water and a grill by the cabin. You can purchase firewood $10 per bundle. Bring your own coal if you want to grill. Bring your own cooler and lock your food. I had a little visit who loved my avocados and wanted more. Sunset watching and sunrise is amazing. Love!! I Stayed here last night and was very disappointed. I've stayed at many RV Parks and they've been nice. This one is not an RV park -- it's more like an RV parking lot! Sitting in the back of my camper van looking out the front and right side windows, I can see 6 RV's parked. If I stand and look out the windshield alone, there are 20! Yes 20 RV's all within view, all in a row. Six to 10 feet (maybe) apart. Super tacky for sure. Not a camping experience more of a, "we parked there and slept" last night. Never, ever again!! Total rip off for the price too. Ridiculous. Oh now it gets even better. NOT! I wrote an email to them yesterday to cancel the second night of the two night reservation I made last yesterday, and they replied with "Sorry to hear you had family troubles. There are no refunds for early departures. Please let us know if you have any other questions. " This place is an absolute rip off and a joke. Don't waste your time here. Hope this helps at least one person. Wish I would have known, I never would have booked here.
