    Tiny spot
    Roya J.

The park was clean and they basically have a monopoly as there aren't any places other RV parks nearby. The booking and email instructions were timely and clear. The check-in was however a little rough. One, the lady who checked us in was very eager to share her knowledge, but unfortunately it wasn't all accurate. For example, she was insistent we could take the ferry from Larkspur to Angel Island, which is inaccurate unless you go to Tiburon or SF and then take another ferry to AI. Second, we booked on-line for a 26 ft travel trailer and truck, the spot they put us in accommodated, at best, a 28-footer so no room for the truck. I go back into the office and say the spot is too small and there isn't enough room for the truck. She replies it's because we booked on-line. I then said what does that have to do with it since I provided all the info and paid the same rate. All I got was deer in headlights look and was assigned a parking spot. Why couldn't that have been the case when I checked in? Third, the spot we were in was so narrow in order to extend the slide-out without encroaching into our neighbors spot, we had to walk on the other side neighbor's spot to get into the RV. Fourth, no room for chairs and nothing else provided for $99 a night. Ultimately, you pay for the location and lack of options.

    Cramped sites! NO Pull Thrus

As soon as we found this place, I wanted to leave. We called ahead and asked if there were "Pull thrus"..that was why we booked a spot. NOT!! There are NO PULL THRUS!! This place is right off the 101. The name is kinda deceiving..sounds pleasant. We will never stay here again. It's a total CF..if ya know what I mean. Spots are super tight and back in only. Its just for one night..... There is a pool though.

Convenient Parking lot with RV hookups

This is a level, graveled RV parking lot. No buffer between at all. Absolutely no attempt at aestetics but reasonably efficient, reasonably well functioning amentities - toilets, showers, washer/dryers (half broken), dog walk, dump ($30! for outsiders). Very friendly, clean and orderly. Most (all?) "sites" (slots) have electricity, water, sewer, wifi. Not cheap. Why 4 stars? Location, location, location. Minutes fro downtown San Francisco.

This was my first RV road trip, and, my first time to San Francisco. I was unsure what to expect. The staff at the park was friendly and very helpful. The pointed out some nearby ways to get around during my stay, and, made sure I had everything I needed. The grounds were neat and clean. It was peaceful and quiet and I had no problems at all. I didn't end up using all the amenities available, but, I was still impressed with how nice everything seemed to be. If I do make another RV trip to the area, this will be my place to stay!

This is our neighbor with truck parked at angle as well--except it's an angle which we can't get around.

Forget them prorating monthly fee. Office manager is extremely rude. Several residents with aggressive dogs. Would not recommend!

What an absolutely dreamy spot for a wedding…read more San Rafael Community Center proved this weekend - to be the most picturesque location for a gathering of beaming friends and family - all coming together to celebrate a special union. As an event space it is phenomenal. It has a plethora of parking out front and nearby. I loved that it was right next door to the Marin Bocce court (bringing back lovely memories). The security personnel out front were welcoming and friendly and we were able to walk right in for the festivities. Once inside - we were greeted by kind staff. As we entered the main auditorium we all let out a big gasp at the same time. The space is awe inspiring. The ceilings are tall and majestic - with beautiful wood beams and strategically placed skylights. The stage was big and perfect for the incredible band. - and the main room easily accommodated a plethora of tables - elegantly adorned with stunning flower arrangements. The best part of the venue - was that it opened up to an absolutely gorgeous patio area - complete with an historic fountain, and lined with magical trees and flowers. The whole afternoon was a dream. Everything flowed beautifully. You could tell from every aspect of this wondrous building, and the hired staff that made the event run smoothly - that a lot of love and pride has been instilled in this building. If you enjoy celebrating community spaces in an authentic way - I recommend staying up to date with the different community events happening at this remarkable spot. Be sure to also potentially keep it in mind for your own special event down the road. Trust.

The center has a very large ballroom and smaller rooms that expand to accommodate smaller functions. I've attended events in the ballroom such as the Chinese New Years event with performers using the full stage. Other events include Goldenaires bingo, armed Cross blood drives, and the Mull Valley Film festival party. Even Jared Huffman has used the ballroom for his in person events. The smaller rooms are terrific for trainings by the Women's Pilitical Action Committee and lunches or parties. There is a full kitchen and custodian on staff. It is also a good value.

Flabbergasted by all these 5 star reviews...? I've been to many Playland's in the greater Bay Area…read moreand I have to be brutally honest, this Playland in Sausalito, California is by far the worst. I traveled all the way to Playland Sausalito from the South Bay with my 5 year old son for my cousins 5 year old son's birthday party. Upon exiting and making a left her and a left there I found myself driving through an old, dusty, shoddy, dirt road, with barrack style bungalows up into an old, spooky gymnasium. I'm assuming they're using 'Playland' in the school's old gymnasium. Is the school still open? I do not know, but from the looks of it, I doubt it. Just looked run down and unkept to be actually open on a day-to-day basis. I'm giving Playland Sausalito a 1 star review because mostly everyone from my cousins party ended up catching either the flu or some variation of the stomach bug that's been going on. Depending on if you were an adult or a child that kind of dictated your symptoms. After calling and asking around if anyone else from the party got sick I was not surprised to hear that, yes other people in attendance got sick. In addition to getting sick, the overall venue was kind of run down and seemed like it's on it's last leg. A few inflatables, a few balls to kick around, 2 pop-a-shot basketball hoops (one didn't work), and a cold gloomy atmosphere. Nice! I understand what Playland Sausalito is trying to do in terms of providing a safe fun-filled place for children to have parties and hang out with friends and family but if children and adults are getting sick than that's defeating the purpose. Maybe it was a one time thing or others have gotten sick at this establishment but I think lack of attention to detail, sanitary practices, and overall kind of just a dingy, ordinary, throw a few balls and inflatables in here and call it a 'Playland' is lame and dangerous. Also, when I called Playland to ask a question as to if they are open or not? (says they are closed on Yelp unless it's a private party), the guy that answered the phone said "Hello".. LoL, not "Thank you for calling Playland how can I help you" so I had to ask the guy "Is this Playland?". Not professional dude. In hindsight, as I was oblivious of what was to come the days after the party, I made a comment to my cousin that they were having another party right after us and I didn't see them doing any kind of sanitary wipe downs or anything. Yikes! In conclusion, I probably won't be coming back again and if you were thinking on planning a party for your little one here, I'd look around some more for I'm sure there are other venues that offer more bang for your buck. Do I recommend, No.

What a wonderful facility!…read more This building is very new (only ~1.5 years old) and absolutely beautiful! You walk into a large naturally lit lobby, with local event flyers and news on display, as well as Millbrae branded merch (hats, shirts, etc) for sale. There is a reception desk with staff there to help and answer any questions. I came specifically to pick up a custom SF Giants Kleenex box that I ordered at the recent Millbrae Art & Wine Festival. We were greeted by Laurie, who was very friendly and told us all about what they had to offer at the Rec. Center. Just behind some glass doors near the lobby, is a game room. This is mostly targeted towards kids, with a giant TV and various video game systems to play with. We saw around a dozen kids hanging and playing in this area as we walked by. As you continue down on the first floor, there are classrooms, conference rooms, and even a giant hall that can be rented in full (or half) for private events! They also have a kitchen connected, which is helpful for events serving food. There are several clean and accessible bathrooms, as well as lots of fun historic photos on display. They have a Fitness Center with various equipment, and space for aerobic classes. There's also a room dedicated entirely to Ping Pong! If you get hungry or thirsty, there are two vending machines with drinks and snacks, and several water fountain/refill stations throughout. There is also an entire upstairs area. In addition to private rooms, there is a "Senior Lounge" which has comfortable seating, a large TV, and a half-kitchen. There is an outdoor patio connected up top with over a dozen lounge type chairs to enjoy some fresh air. They also have space for outdoor activities for people of all ages. There are multiple playgrounds for kids, in addition to multiple tennis courts and a large field. The Rec. Department also oversees many other fields (school and other) and a skate park, according to their website! If you live in (or near) Millbrae, you gotta check out this Rec. Center! There is a ton to do, it's super bright and clean, and the staff is all very friendly and welcoming! I'm looking forward to coming back again and utilizing some of these amazing features!
