It is only a short walk to the Larkspur Ferry and the Larkspur Smart train. Ferry is just a short walk down Sir Francis Drake Blvd. The Smart train is across the blvd, near the marketplace. There is also a Trader Joe's & World Market a short walk away. The ferry will whisk you to the SF Ferry Building! It is usually fun ride & time to plan your City visit. The office personnel @ the park are very helpful! The rate was $118, though typical discounts were available. Our gravel space with full hookups was apx. 16 ft wide and 44 ft. Long. For those who complain about price or space: you are @ the closest well rated park close to the City. Feel free to compare and share your findings. Friend recently moved out after huge increases in rent and add on fees. Bathroom hangs out into road and absolutely no privacy. Constant construction seems to be the thing and friend suffered through a building knock down with no tent/net coverage over the work site so obviously no worry by owner of asbestos or dust blowing into occupied sites. The Park also flooded during King Tides and remorse was lacking but did make YouTube. Friend said staff is nice but all seem to lack dental/medical coverage and for this rich county, Marin RV Park seems more like a Southern style of park. Is even segregated by degree of expensive motorhomes- neer do wells fenced off from the mega motorhomes. read more

The park was clean and they basically have a monopoly as there aren't any places other RV parks nearby. The booking and email instructions were timely and clear. The check-in was however a little rough. One, the lady who checked us in was very eager to share her knowledge, but unfortunately it wasn't all accurate. For example, she was insistent we could take the ferry from Larkspur to Angel Island, which is inaccurate unless you go to Tiburon or SF and then take another ferry to AI. Second, we booked on-line for a 26 ft travel trailer and truck, the spot they put us in accommodated, at best, a 28-footer so no room for the truck. I go back into the office and say the spot is too small and there isn't enough room for the truck. She replies it's because we booked on-line. I then said what does that have to do with it since I provided all the info and paid the same rate. All I got was deer in headlights look and was assigned a parking spot. Why couldn't that have been the case when I checked in? Third, the spot we were in was so narrow in order to extend the slide-out without encroaching into our neighbors spot, we had to walk on the other side neighbor's spot to get into the RV. Very friendly, clean and orderly. Most (all?) "sites" (slots) have electricity, water, sewer, wifi. Not cheap. Why 4 stars? Location, location, location. I didn't end up using all the amenities available, but, I was still impressed with how nice everything seemed to be. Ugh. No. Don't come here. We have a large motorhome and this is a very tiny parking lot. Look at the satellite images and you will see. There are live-ins here with their stuff spilling out of their ten to 12 foot wide spaces. Very hard to park. On the good side, though, you are near San Quinton and the bay and the ferry. You can Uber to nearby places. I would much rather stay in Candlestick Park RV where it is easier to park and you have a bit more space. I get it--space is a premium here--but I can look directly into my neighbors window and if I reach out, I can touch her coach from my door. That's too close. read more

i've stayed with this place on numerous occasions while traveling through Marin couple months ago I paid $60 a night...last night. I paid $130 per night. I asked to stay for a month when adding total up it was a total of $60 a day for the monthly rate as I was about to pay for a rocked parking spot with shotty electric right on the driveway where traffic was all nite for 1500 Mnthly I was told I would not be allowed because my bumper was broken off the back of my trailer that I just bought. I getting it brought to the body shop next week to I still was told that I would have to leave and not be able to I was really shocked as I've had really good with the customer service team that's at the business when I was explain that I was kind of shocked that I paid $60 a couple months ago and then paid 1 the past few I was told I was a liar, which really showed me the true colors of this I don't lie say that the boy that works upfront is very kind and helpful. read more

I try and try to understand the decision making process of RV parks that literally try and squeeze as many in as possible and allow residents. In this location, they could reduce the spots by 25% and double their rates and make more money. Of course they'd also have to get rid of the construction grade gravel and beautify a bit but this is unpleasant at best. read more

Stayed there 1 night and it was terrible. I would expect more from a Good Sam park unless they have lowered their rating standards. The sites are narrow and rules are not enforced. There were cigarette butts, Q-tips, bottle tops and candy wrappers on our site. For $99/night (going to $125/night next year) you would expect ALOT CLEANER park. Front desk staff were great. Location is great. Close to ferry and to shops. (Take walking/bike path over the bridge) Kids liked the pool. If you are looking for an RV park in Marin where you hang out in the park, this is not for you. It's a place to park and go enjoy the city. Sewer connection was too high off the ground at our site so we had to "help" the "stuff" inside the sewer line make its way down the tube. Booked two nights here to give us just enough time to see the city. Upon arrival we noticed sites are very small and hookups are towards the far back. We had to buy another hose from the office or else it wouldn't have reached. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful with tips on what to see in the city and ways of transportation. The park is conveniently located to a grocery store, restaurants, and shops...and the ferry to the city is about a 10-15 minute walk. Overall it was a good experience. The only downside is the size of their sites but if you're only there to see the city, you won't be around much to care. read more

I've stayed at 9 rv parks this summer and this one was the most $$$ and had the WORST WiFi. I had a work deadline I had to meet and was relying on having internet connection (like the other parks have had). I ended up using my mobile as a hotspot and chewing through all my data. The manager Steve Kidd is a real piece of work. Good luck dealing with him! I feel sorry for the staff. The ladies in the office seem to be nice people. Worst Experience ever! My parents were visiting me from Ohio. We asked where I could park while visiting and the lady mentioned to park up front anywhere there was a space, just not to park in the fire lane overnight. I come back to the car with a neon green violation sticker STUCK to my window! It wouldn't even peel off! It shredded off. Had to pay $50 to get it professionally removed. We went into the front office and she said we can't park there, even though the other lady told us to park there. No help at all. She said I would have to talk to the manager tomorrow. My parents are leaving tomorrow. I can tell you we will never rent here again! Find a better spot! read more

"Our little home base, Marin RV Park" Although I liked the reviews we were hesitant about staying here only because we couldn't see any pictures. Honestly we were pleasantly surprised: The Staff was caring & helpful and the park is orderly and clean, it feels very safe and we love the LOCATION. It is convenient as a home base for exploring SF & wine tasting or in our case doing an art show in SF where parking is near to impossible and hotels are extremely expensive. It's funny, but although it is alongside the 101, the sound is not disturbing and honestly, it is peaceful and quiet. The first night we got here we went in the pool. It was heated but I would have liked it heated a bit more. Later we got on our bikes and went to the little upscale shopping and restaurant area called "Marin Mart". They have jazz every Friday night. We were so surprised when a famous musician and radio host, Dick Conte and his Quartet were performing. We decided to grab a beer at the "Marin Brewery" with in ea shot and eyesight of the performance and enjoy a good time and great food! We then rode our bikes back through the ferry parking lot and across the bridge overlooking the Marina to our little home base, only 5 minutes away. The next morning when driving to SF to set up for the "Fillmore Jazz Festival", we were again pleasantly surprised that it was only a 20 minute drive. We were pleasantly satisfied with the convenience, safeness, cleanliness and the friendliness of the staff! Our little home base "Marin RV Park" will be a place we come to every year! read more

Very small sites, hard to manuever a big rig when they only have back-ins; no pull-thrus. There is no room to sit outside, no tables. They charge a lot for something so small and limited. Located in the middle of an industrial area and next to 101. No store, office hours are very limited as well as the laundry; which is very over priced. Access to Larkspur ferry to San Francisco is close by, within a 10 walk. This seems to be the only plus to this park. read more

After extensive research we made a reservation at this trailer park. When we arrived we were charged considerably more than what we were told over the phone. We had made sure that there would be plenty of room for vehicles. There was not, we couldn't open one door just having one vehicle in our spot. When we were told over the phone that there'd be room for both vehicles. When we talked to the the female in the office that said she was the owner of the park she was very rude and said she could get more for that space. By the next day she decided that she would give us the space what we were told. And she said she would move us as soon as she could to a spot the we could put our vehicles. That never happened. Instead we would get approached and told we were parked wrong or too much in the other space. And then the sewer odor was horrible. When we asked about it they said it was because of the area behind the trailer park. When I ask what happened since we had really research this park and talk to them several times at the office. And then it was not as we were told it would be. They said that somebody gave that spot away. read more

What a great place to stay during our vacationing in San Francisco Bay Area. Easy access off and onto the 101 Highway. Literally minutes from the Golden Gate Bridge. The bathrooms are spacious and clean. The pool and the grounds are very maintained and nice. They must have a great maintenance person. But mostly the office staff and management are sooooooo friendly, helpful, and patience. We need to be in the Bay Area for three days and this was the closest RV park that got us to our destination fastest. I think I made a record driving from the park to SF in 20 minutes, and into the Mission District! The location is good, but this is not a place for people to reside. It's a parking lot. The wifi was also very spotty, the restrooms were in a spooky weird building and they shared by phone that the Ferry was "walking distance" but that walk requires you to go alongside a busy freeway, under an underpass, and for two women, not a really safe "feeling" walk. So we drove, and that defeated the purpose of the proximity to a Ferry building....Plus, it's really HOT in the summer on the asphalt and yuck, don't stay there. Here is what we did instead of stay there our third night. We went 30 minutes away to Olema Campground, it was HEAVEN and we LOVED it! The Olema RV park~a beautiful place, just past Fairfax, and you can still do everything and be in nature! read more

We stayed at this RV park for the convenient location to San Francisco. It is a short 15 minute walk to the ferry, then an hour long ferry ride to San Francisco. There are also many restaurants and shops around the Marin area that are a very easy walk or bike ride to. As far as the campground goes, it was a very pleasant stay. When we pulled in, a lady came out to greet us and told us what site we were going to be staying in. We then pulled into our space and walked up to the office to check in. I have stayed at many RV parks, and I've got to say, the people that manage this park have got to be some of the nicest people around. Funny and genuinely care about your stay. They will take the extra time to talk to you about activities to do in SF and try to save you as much money as they can. They even have clipper cards for the ferry available at the front desk and some of them have money already loaded on them!!! The amenities at this park are limited. There is a pool available that we didn't use during our stay, but it looked nice and clean. We didn't use the bathrooms either, but you do have to walk though a small walk way to use them, and they are NOT open all the time, only from 8AM - 8PM. There is a dog walk along the back of the park on old railroad tracks that looked like a nice place to walk the dog. The WI-FI was provided for free, but didn't work very well. Was very unreliable and when it did work, wasn't very fast. There was good cell service though (Verizon), so we just used our phones. Cable TV is available also, and has about 20 channels available. That's pretty much all the amenities available that I was aware of. The sites are close together, but wide enough to fit our moterhome with slides on both sides. It was also long enough to fit our 40 foot moterhome with a smaller tow car (no truck or mini-van). The sites are fairly level, but you will probably want to use your jacks. Other reviews have mentioned that you can hear your neighbors walking around, but I couldn't hear them at all. It was actually a pretty quiet park, even though it's right off the freeway. If you are visiting San Francisco and need a quiet place to park for a couple days, this is the park for you! read more

Owners knew there was going to be all night road construction (jackhammering) just outside the gate yet they put us two spaces away from it instead of at the back, and of course didn't mention anything about the construction to us. Here's the deal with the 4 stars...I think you have to base your rating somewhat on what else is available in the area. Truthfully, not much selection. We stopped in at some of the other "RV Parks" and they were just mobilie home parks - run down, bad. This was definitely the best option. We were in San Francisco to see the city, not to spend time at the campground, so this place worked out great. That being said, this is basically a parking lot, but the spaces were long and fairly easy to access. The campground is clean and the bathroom and showers were also clean. The staff were friendly and very helpful. If you are a tourist, this is not a campground you are going to hang out at. No campfires and roasting marshmallows. But, it is a great home base and very clean and neat. I can't emphasize this enough as the other options in the area are not so great. This is an RV campground only, so no tents. There is a mobile home park, but it is on the other side and you don't see it. There are some long term RV's in the park, but for the most part people are coming and going. My only complaint is that the restrooms close at 9:00 and don't reopen until 7:30. I'm sure they do this for safety and security reasons, but it's really incovenient if you want to get an early start or if you happen to get back late. You're a bit outside the city, but we didn't have a problem driving in and out each day. Fairly pricey at $50 per night, but again...I'd say it was worth it. read more

We enjoyed a two week stay @ Marin RV park. It's conveniently located to San Francisco. Walking distance to Larkspur ferry that will drop u off near fisherman's wharf. Walking distance to grocery store, the mall, and dining. Lots of nice walking trails! Laundry room was clean with plenty of washers and driers in working order. Sites r long and slim, but they gave us two sites giving us space for chairs or a bbq, unfortunately we still had someone on the other side of us only a foot separating. Considering the great location, only a 13 mile drive over the Golden gate to San Francisco waterfront, it was a great place, and we will be back! read more

Very clean, dog friendly with great area to walk dogs just behind grounds, clean pool...and Armando and female office lady (Christine?) were great! It's not a national park. There are no trees or grass. All gravel (non-paved) sites. It's 50 feet off the freeway in Marin ferheavensakes so get your expectations in order. Having said that, this is an honest, clean and friendly place. The laundromat is easy to use and reasonably priced. WiFi is pretty good. Staff are kind. The space between rigs is not so much as one might like but it is enough. Big bonus is the proximity to the GG Ferry so you can get into SF easily. Good pet accomodations. FYI, we were in a big 5th wheel rig and stayed 6 nights. read more

We have stayed many times at Marin RV Park. They have been very accomodating with reservations even if given short notice. We bring our dogs and the area behind the park is spectacular for walking them. Everyone there has been helpful and friendly while making reservations and in the office. The location is fantastic which allows you to walk to the larkspur ferry or catch a local bus to easily get into SF. We will definitely be back! read more
