Several issues here: 1) curbside pickup. If it takes almost an hour to bring out curbside pickup orders, you're not doing it right. Unacceptable. 2) high end electronics behind glass, okay makes sense. Low to mid-priced toys (lego) behind glass? Okay maybe if there's someone around unlock it quickly and easily. But to have toys behind glass and NO ONE around to assist in opening... No thanks. Several times I've had to go across the store to electronics just to get someone to unlock the glass. For toys. There has to be a better system to deter theft. read more

I decided to give an online order a try to see how it would work out and I mist admit I was pleased. I am generally a person that likes to pick out my own items but I managed to stay away from produce and meat because those are the things I am the picky about the most. All in all I was able to get breakfast items, water, juice, bread and the makings for tacos and a few condiments and everything was as I liked. I did agree to substitutions, which were simple enough. This Walmart is like every other nothing spectacular. Needed a few odd things, red, green or red &white checker round table cloth, and laundry stain remover. A little disappointing; after checking three different Walmart they seem either in their warehouse or is there a laundry stain remover ration due to COVID ?? Overall store was clean, associates were average , even though this store may not be my favorite to stop at, it definitely serves its purpose from time to time. I asked for help finding a scu number for an items and he pulled up the walmart app to help me look. Well actually he did all the looking. There we found the item in question $50 more online. Came to this location because they carry Plugra butter for significantly cheaper than anywhere else in the area. However just like most Walmarts, the shelves are messy and there's stuff out of place. The store was modern though, and all the staff members I interacted with were friendly. read more

Horrible customer service they have very few registers with actual people, and for the self checkouts they have there is very few registers so there's always lines of 10+ people. The cashier on lane 5 didn't know what the heck she was doing today and I could barely hear her when she chose to speak to me Sunday 9/3/23 at 11:28 AM. If I wanted to bag my own groceries I would have gone to self-checkout. At least if I would have gone to self-checkout, I would have been able to use all of my gift card instead of my own money and my husband wouldn't have been called a liar by your customer service desk people. read more

For over a couple of years now, I generally have not stepped foot in a grocery store ... I LOVE THE PICK-UP! I was picking up at Walmart on Transit in Williamsville/Clarence for most of that time, which is the most convenient location for me. But a few months ago they abruptly stopped pick-up services due to staffing shortages. This would not do, as I do a grocery pickup for our family of four nearly every week. So I quickly reset my online cart to this Transit Depew location, which thankfully has never had an interruption in their pick-up service. Once I started coming to this Walmart for grocery pick-up, even though it is a little farther of a drive for me, I haven't stopped. The quality of the pick-up service here is far better than the Transit Williamsville/Clarence service. The staff is much friendlier, and they take an extra minute to put your items more carefully in bags (if you bring your own bags), compared to the other Walmart that at times would ignore my bags and just chuck things in haphazardly. Sure, it isn't perfect bagging here, they are still on a timer, but it is at least adequate and very friendly. Plus they are more careful with leak'ables, bagging any cleaning products or other bottles in plastic first. Also, I never have to wait very long here for my pick-up order to come out, versus the other Walmart I had to wait over and hour a few times! Here my order is usually out in ten minutes or less from the time I check-in, on occasion a bit longer, but never over an hour wait. And overall I think this Walmart has a better variety of the kinds of products my family uses. We are all vegetarian, some vegan, some keto, and I think the plant-based and keto products here are more abundant than at the other store. It has been great trying new things, many of which have become regulars now in my pickup shopping repertoire here. And, like any Walmart, you really can't beat the prices on a lot of things. As grocery prices go up-up-up, yes, sadly Walmart's prices have gone up too. But comparatively to other grocery stores, Walmart generally still has everyone beat. So for the convenience and the savings, I will continue to regularly use this Walmart's pick-up service indefinitely. Some people that work here are DUMB and do not really try to help you. I went there to get a tiny battery for a watch, that I took apart. I bought one here previously from the jewelry dept. The girl there told me this time that she is not allowed to sell those batteries, because they are for " their own usage" If I bring in the watch( which I bought there) They can change it for me, they charge a bit more for installation. I told her that I would happily pay the higher price for only the battery, but she said that is against policy! DUH read more

I came here because I learned that had what I wanted from another Walmart. They called and confirmed for me. So I was here super early one morning (they are 24 hours) and was able, with kind assistance from an employee, to find what I wanted quickly. I also found a few other things, because the store was not busy so I was able to do a quick walkthrough easily. They have the new credit card readers here, where they read the chip. Be aware of that, as not all the tellers are familiar with it. Easy parking early in the day. Its open 24 hours. read more

This store is does not follow CDC guidelines in a state where COVID-19 has impacted the worst. employees when notified of the improper mask wearing/ other guidelines are despondent, and frankly do not care. Employees ignore the mask mandate and allow anyone to walk in without one, when I notified an employee they simply stood there without a reaction and said nothing to the person not wearing the mask. Other employees also wear nothing but a face shield so you can see the literal perspiration of their spit. It's disgusting and I do not recommend a store that cannot stock hand sanitizer when you first walk into sanitize your hands. Be careful. read more

I try to avoid going here if I can but with it being close to home it is the easiest place to get things that I need. It is cluttered and understaffed. It's a Walmart you know what to expect. This Walmart is usually pretty clean, well stocked, and the staff are usually pretty friendly. Parking kind of blows here and there isn't a lot of it that doesn't require you walking quite a distance from the store but again it is what it is. This Walmart store MUST be a Covid-10 hot spot. I only go there out of necessity for a few items that you can only buy at Walmart, but I really try to stay away from this location. More than half of the customers in this store either don't wear masks, or wear them below their nose (which is useless). At least 25% of the employees in this store also wear the masks below their nose, posing danger to customers and co-workers. As big as Walmart is, I have no idea why they don't have nationwide standards for employees wearing masks. If you work there, and you wear your mask below your nose, you should be sent home, period. I shouldn't have to risk my life to buy groceries. Hopefully someone at Walmart corporate will crack down on this horrible store. read more

Why do the cashiers let rude, inconsiderate people go through the Speedy Checkout (20 items or less) with 50+ items. I stood in line today with 3 other people waiting while the cashier checked out a woman with over 50 items. When these rude people get in line, the cashier can see their cart overflowing. Why don't they calmly tell these rude people to go to the appropriate line???? Walmart is upsetting 4 people for the sake of one person who refuses to follow the rules like everyone else!! read more

I went to Walmart for two simple things, I waited 20 minutes for someone to come open the case for a razor, it took calling the store for them to do something about it because their buttons are not working, after I checked out with a half gallon of milk and the razor blade, the lady by the door was watching me cash out and stopped my boyfriend and I and wouldn't let us leave until she looked at our receipt, I get it if we had a cart full but again it was 2 things she watched us cash out for, absolutely terrible customer service and rude employees, definitely the worst Walmart in town read more

Understand that if you use the Tire and Lube here, you are making a 4 hour commitment -- first come, first served, and it's typically 2-3 hours before they even look at your car. I went to get my snow tires put on, and when I got the car back the old tires were not in it. They said I should have specified that I didn't want the old tires disposed of. Apparently in Walmart land, putting snow tires on means that you never plan to use all-weather tires again. I made it clear that I did in fact want my old tires back, and they were able to give them back without any fuss. So beware! Don't let them try to dispose of your tires without saying anything to you. read more

Walmart must have read all of the reviews with terrible ratings on Yelp because my experience was really good here today. And I MUST point out that the store had the heat at a good, warm temp unlike the Williamsville Walmart which has been FREEZING!!!!! I had to go to East Aurora and stopped here on my way back to East Amherst. I like that this is a small store. I also like how the medicine and toiletries are next to the grocery section, unlike at the Transit Road, Williamsville Walmart where you have you walk a half mile from one end of the store to the other if you want both groceries and toiletries. The fact that they are next to each other in this store was so totally convenient for me! It might not seem like a huge deal, but when you have a stomach bug and don't have to run from one end of the store to the other for both Pepto Bismol and Gatorade, it's a life saver! Haha! I noticed that they had a much better selection of bathing suits here than at the Williamsville Walmart, since I am looking for another one for an upcoming trip. Even the clothes are on the side where the groceries are. Yeah! The grocery section here is compact and seemingly well stocked. There were employees everywhere so to those claiming there are no employees around, things have changed! Tons of registers open too. I didn't have to wait in line at all. I like it! The one issue I had here was some crazy bastard trying to pull out of a spot after I had already fully backed out and another car was trying to turn into my spot. The guy pulling out of his spot refused to pull back into his spot. When I backed up, he still wouldn't move, which made for a 2-minute stand off. Ughhhhh. So the parking lot is wacky. My sister was here yesterday and said she saw some guy wreck his car on a pedestrian crossing sign in this lot. When she went in, the Walmart employee said that was the 11th car to hit that sign since winter started. WTF?! Maybe people get so excited to be here that they black out in the parking lot. **Grocery delivery review**. I mean who really has to see which Walmart they should hit based on reviews?!? BUT, how about the grocery delivery service? Okay, let's lay it out....it comes across pretty pompous for someone to think they are above grocery shopping. However, when you work 60 hours a week and have obligations for another 4 hours each night, then if someone does some shopping for you AND drops it off, you have to entertain it. So I did. A few good things - app is easy to use for the most part and when they scheduled the drop off, they are dead on with the time. Down side - they use a 3rd party delivery service so it can be a mixed bag. I had a situation where the driver was smoking and the groceries took that on. Customer service did contact me and credit me back based on my review. So that was good and attentive. The app has a flaw though. It is not up to date with stock. So let's say you plan 5 meals and sides. Based on my last 2 orders, 40% of my meal plans went sideways due to not having stock. That lead me to go out and go shopping at Wegmans. All in all, it's a 3 star service. Could be improved but is okay for an immediate need. read more

I'm giving Walmart three stars because I can't honestly with good conscience give any Walmart more than that. This one is much like all the others I've been to, though perhaps a bit more disorganized. A lot of the shelves were empty and many items we wanted were out of stock. I'm also not honestly very impressed with their prices. There are things there that I could actually get cheaper at wegmans! However, despite the negatives of Walmart, I have to point out the good from my last visit as well. I stopped in today with my mom to return about 10 or more bags of bottles we had been putting off returning. The machines were half out of order when we started and after a few bags, we filled up two machines. I attempted to find someone to service the machines but after no luck, I went to the service desk to ask for someone to come take care of them. The girl actually told me to bring the cans to her and she counted them all up and processed our deposit slips there. Not a big thing to most people, but in my eyes it far exceeded the usual customer service ( or lack thereof) you receive at Walmart. So definitely worth noting! read more

Why do u only have 2 register open two days before holiday...poor planning...or d ont care about consumer

They do not enforce covid19 rules in the store on Transit Rd. in Lancaster NY. They are allowing people in without masks. While in the checkout line the cashier allowed a man without a mask to come up about 2 ft. away from me and put his groceries on the counter. I complained to the girl at the door and she said "call the police". I called the store manager when I got home and he said it was corporate policy to allow people in without masks. Stay away from this store if you care about your health, Wegmans and Tops require customers to comply with covid19 rules. I will shop there from now on. read more

I very rarely give a business 1 star, but this was two separate instances where I had to wait in line for over 20minutes. The first instance was returning a car battery that I didn't end up using because It was my alternator that gave out. So I lug the battery from the car to a cart and go into the store. The customer service counter had one person taking in returns and there was about three people in front of me. One trying to a western union payment, another trying to return a laptop that they clearly had buyer's remorse for, (maybe she was short for rent that month)? There was one more person that wanted to see manager for something but then when they finally called the manager, they lady walked away. It was so weird. When It was finally my turn. it had been at least 20 minutes and the return at first, she was going to give me issues, but once she got the OK, from her manager that was next to her, they took the battery back with no problem. The second time that I came in was to purchase sand paper to sand my muffler that i was painting. There had a few registers open and the lines were spilling into the isle. I then walk up and down to see if there is one that is moving faster than usual. I see there is a few people in the 20 or less items. I then stand in that line, But the cashier was so slow in ringing people up. When she was ringing the lady in front of me. She double charged her on her chicken even with a $1.00 off coupon. Again I waited in line for almost 20 minutes. I got sick and tired that I took my one item and walked to up and down the registers to find a open register that had no one or had one person that was being finish being rung up. The register I went to was very quick and I was out of there in less than 3 minutes. Again, two different times, I had to wait in line for over 20minutes to check our or return something is totally unacceptable. This is why I am rating this Walmart 1 star. read more
