This sushi place is truly incredible!! You can bring your own wine, which is a plus, because not all sushi places allow it. I had the chance to try this place on a Thursday night with 2 friends. The restaurant wasn't packed, which made it cozier, especially that the place isn't big. We made two orders, which included wonton soup, avocado hosomaki, dragon eye roll, hollywood roll, and others. I'd have to say that their dragon eye roll is probably the best one I've had in Montreal in a while!! Everything we had the chance to try was absolutely delicious. The service wa also great, the sushis arrived pretty quickly, but still felt fresh. I definitely recommend this place for a group of 2-4 people, as it is very cozy.

I ordered this poke bowl from the GOLO app it's called poke Bolbar Outremont. It was called the bora bora. At first sight it looked delicious - the ingredients were very good and fresh. However the algue and the kimchi totally ruined the dish for me. Would never order again. I've had so many better poke bowls sadly for them.

They balance elegance and innovation with the authenticity of familiar Thai classics. In short, the food is just freakin' amazing. Think Thai dishes perfected and fused with French cooking techniques in order to elevate them to a new level. They also explore some spicy options including vinegar and Thai sauces served on the side, which provide customizable options, greatly increasing the playfulness of the dining experience, allowing us to peak into the mind of the chef and letting the customer finish the dishes themselves--an educational touch that will make you better at cooking just by eating here! This is one of the most amazing Thai fusion restaurants in the world and it's a blessing to have Mae Sri here in little ole Montreal. Get the Pad Thai, it's a perfect dish. Pad Se Ew is great. My personal favorite is the spicy braised beef soup (so much depth here). The Thai iced tea is actually addictive and super rich (amazing). Dine in to get the full experience with the SAUCE, it makes everything much more complete. The crispy pork is also great. Everything here is plain delicious. It's casual but fine dining, perfect for a date or small party with friends. The Uber Eats from here is also solid. Thank you Mae Sri!

I stop by whenever I'm in Montreal because honestly, their food is better than most of the neighborhood Thai restaurants in the New York/New Jersey metro area. Many of them don't even serve Thai Beef noodle soup(Kuay Teow Nua). If you care more about authentic flavor than fancy decor, this place is a gem.

Working in Montreal for the week and it's dinner time! I did my usual Yelp'ing and landed on Pamika…read moreThai! Here's how it went! Atmosphere/Appearance: Set right on the street in downtown is this gem. It's got a small footprint on the outside, but inside is a different story! It's so beautiful and intimate in here. The floors and the ceilings are darker colors giving a more intimate vibe. The decor is AMAZING and transports you to an entirely different country. The vibes were very intimate, romantic and definitely a place you want to be. Service: Glenn was my bartender as I sat at the bar and he was awesome. He was funny, witty and made sure I had the best time possible. I also would like to shout out Benjamin as well. He's the director of the restaurant and also made sure I had a good time. Food/Drinks: I started off with the Le Vieux Cajou, which is Buffalo Trace whiskey infused with cashews, spicy coriander syrup then a few dashes of both Angostura and chocolate bitter. This drink sounds so out there, but it was so smooth, oaky, a bit nutty, mildly sweet, very tasty, robust, woody. I really liked it. I saw so many things on the menu that I wanted to try that I couldn't make up my mind so I opted for the tasting menu! Here's how it went! Out first was the Fried papaya salad which consists of deep-fried green papaya and carrots, fried shrimp, fresh chilies, tomatoes, long beans and peanuts. This was very tasty with that good spicy sauce on top. I loved the sweetness with the salt and the heaviness of the fried batter. Absolutely delicious. Never had anything like it before. My only complaint is that the shrimp didn't pull all the way out of their shells like I'm used to. Lol. Next up was the Khao Soi which is a dish comprised of egg noodles, chicken drumsticks, a quail egg, pickled choy, limes, coriander, red onions and khao soy sauce. This dish was a bit spicy, with flavors just all over the place in a great way. LOVED the rich curry flavor, super aromatic. Lastly was the Set Tum Thai which is That BBQ pork shoulder served with sticky rice and a papaya salad. It was SUPER flavorful pork and an amazing spicy sauce. Rice was nice and sticky to calm the flavors down. Well-balanced. Value: It's more upscale and "modern" Thai cusine so you have to pay for it. Lol. All prices are in $CAD. My first drink was $14.00. The tasting menu was $85.00. Absolutely worth it. In conclusion, I loved this place, what it represented and how everything was executed. I highly encourage you to check this place out! The servers seemed busy but it took a while for every step of the way so I think they could use a bit more help. The other thing that was a bit unfortunant was the amount of fruit flies that were around. One or two isnt an issue but we were having to swipe away one pretty consistantly. That being said, the food itself was pretty decent overall. Ill go over the so-so stuff first. We were trying to get the vegiterian papaya salad but apparently there is fish sauce in it that cant be removed so I am not sure why they label it as vegiterian optional. (Thats a bit of a pet peeve of mine since people probably dont even ask if it is labeled as vegiterian). The phad thai was decent with strechy noodles and fried tofu which is something we look for but the peanuts were all clumpped together as if they had been stored for a while. Not nessasarily a bad thing but califlour was also one of the vegtables which is an interesting choice. On the good end, the bak egg roles were crisp and had good flavores especially when adding the sauce. They gave us the chicken one on accident at first but figured out their mistake before we had any. The drink was also very refreshing. The egg wash was smooth and sweet which complimented the tart and fruity drink. The atmosphere itself was interesting. The long marbel X shaped table that centered the room was something I hadnt seen anywhere else. It seemed a bit akward at first but the lights and bar made it work more. The lamps seemed like a nice touch that added depth and a warm lighting to the room. I always like when lights are hung together at a different hights to give that depth. Overall probably not one I would go back to.

The food is so good! :D I had the Gra Borng: fried kabocha squash fritters served with a spicy tamarind sauce. Luckily, a booth opened up within a few minutes for us which helped as we were going to try a bunch of dishes. Pad kaprao pork - simply put, awesome! One of my go to dishes when having Thai food back home or online BKK. Only complaint was that I wish the egg was served sunny side up instead fried to a well done. Pad pak boong pork - another awesome dish! Not sure how you can go wrong with crispy pork belly w/ perfectly sautéed morning glory. We did order this mild and it was still pretty spicy for me. Not sure why the rice served in Montreal is so wet. IIRC, the white rice at Pichai was also pretty wet. Ended up wasting almost the entire plate as it was so mushy. Gaeng massaman gai - the one dish that was just ok in my opinion which is odd since I usually love red curry. Not sure what was lacking but something was a bit off. Since the pad pak boong came with a huge plate of rice, asked the waitress to not bring another serving. Pad thai - pretty tasty and noticed almost all patrons ordering this dish. Wished I could've subbed the shrimp for chicken. Quebec lobster - this was one of the main reasons for dining here as I kept seeing IG posts about this. Sadly, this was a disappointing dish. The lobster really didn't have any meat and thought it was weird they served it with what tasted like salsa verde. Khao neeo mamuang - great way to end the meal. Perfectly cooked glutinous rice w/ an ample amount of coconut milk. Was surprised at how sweet the mango was. Almost as good as Mae Varee in BKK!! Would definitely come back the next time we are in town for the GP!

It all exceeded expectations, and our expectations were high going in based on the well-deserved hype! The 20-30 minute wait was so worth it. One of the owners works the line & he offered drinks to everyone as we waited outside. The other owner took our order, and when my son and I said we wanted to try a bunch of different things and asked if we could do smaller portions (1bun instead of 2 & a mix of satays), he happily obliged us. Now let's talk about the food - the laksa soup, pork belly bun, papaya salad and satays were all EXACTLY RIGHT. Like chefs kiss kind of right. The owner came by when all the food had been taken away and jokingly asked if we had enough, and my son sheepishly said he probably needed one more of the pork belly buns, and it came right out. So tender and sublime. I couldn't eat another bite, but he somehow stuffed it in because it was just so good. My son can't wait to sport his Satay Brothers shirt back in Dallas! 10 out of 10!

My places to see and eat were already listed and Aunt Dai was on the top of that list of the Montréal food scene. After a flight and long day of exploring, the cold Canadian weather made me crave some warm and delicious Chinese food. But due to lack of energy I decided to order it through DoorDash. After watching so many YouTube and TikTok videos of this place I ordered food from here with high expectations only for them to come crashing down. My order of the spring rolls were mediocre at best but edible. The beef broccoli was a disappointment is to say the least. It seemed like they boiled the beef, carrots and broccoli together and dumbed some soy sauce over it. The sauce was runny, I had asked for extra sauce not watered down soy sauce. Flavor profile was completely missing from the dish. Beef wasn't marinated, fried or stir fried and then mixed with broccoli. It was only Boiled!!! No effort was actually applied into creating this dish. For my first Chinese meal in Canada I was definitely left feeling dissatisfied.
