service was terrible but it was a very busy night. our waiter didn't really come ask us about anything or help with the meats. there is only 3 options for beef, the only good one was the bulgogi and the shrimp was not good. the smell of burnt food filled the restaurant & it was $25. definitely not worth the money compared to other korean barbecue places i've gone to. read more

Absolutely love this place. Staff is super friendly and cooks the meat right in front of you, and you get a TON of sides with free refills - rice, kimchi, salad, everything. We came today after UGA's graduation, and service overall was very subpar. There's clearly not a lot of communication between servers as after we got checks, another server came and asked if we were ready for checks. Waited about two hours to get food, service was all over the place, and we were neglected many times when we asked for water and bottles were not returned until we asked the 2nd or 3rd time, when sides were not served quick enough to help ease our hunger after waiting a VERY LONG TIME (they only had one cook in the back... seems like poor scheduling and planning on their part because they should know it's going to be a little busier considering it was graduation), and when one of the girls at our table waited almost another hour to get her food because the server did not put it in POS. What is the point of asking if everything is good or if we needed more water or sides and then not giving us water or sides when we answered yes? We also witnessed a group stand at the front with no acknowledgment for probably 10 mins. I've seen kbbq places run 10000x better than this even when 5x busier. Things like refilling water and putting a SINGLE order into POS are quick, and servers should be doing that right away when asked, especially since it was definitely not that busy(all tables were not full and a family next to us left before even getting any food) and orders were not coming out due to the sole cook in the back. Instead, they got distracted clearing tables even when there were no new groups coming in, making them forget every small thing our group requested, mind you, after them asking if they could get us anything. Yeah, if we weren't already in Athens, we'd definitely be eating kbbq in Duluth. In fact, we could've driven to Duluth and gotten our food faster than the 2 hours it took for MOST of us to get food. read more

This place is awesome! The staff was super friendly and helpful. The food was adequately priced for the amount you get. Plus all the food was so good! The candied peanuts are amazing! The main part of your meal is meat and then it comes with sides. Just enough to sample new items so you don't waste as much if you don't really like it. Ate here a couple weeks back. Didn't really feel like writing a review because it just didn't feel like the experience required one because it was pretty boring. But now I'm pretty bored so might as well write a review for a boring place. The food is super over priced for what it is. Maybe being from metro Atlanta skews my opinion, because I can throw a rock from my old house and hit 7 kkbq restaurants that are better. Anyways, the restaurant was clean. The food didn't really taste bad... Just not worth $23 for 4 strips of thick bacon with minimal seasoning. I guess if you want your moneys worth you HAVE to do the all you can eat. Or just fill up on the rice and vegetables they give you with your food. But that just depends on if you can get your server to stop by when they're not hiding in the back. Oh. The serve staff. Our waitress got hot bacon grease in my girlfriends eye. I thought it was comical. Then I felt guilty when she came back from the restroom 5 minutes later because she was crying. Our waitress did say sorry though, just very quietly and under her breath. Our total bill ended up being $45 dollars and we both left hungry, unsatisfied, and 25% sore eye. If you're thinking about doing all you can eat kkbq, do your self a favor and drive to Iron Age it Atlanta. $26 all you can eat for dinner. Some of the very best Korean barbecue Athens has ever had. Service is good however, avoid the assistant male manager. He waited on us in June or July 2020 and a previous time right after Covid Re-opening. He dropped multiple "F-bombs." He seemed uninterested in helping us select menu items. We asked about the shrimp and he suggested we leave and go to a seafood restaurant. We asked if he was working tonight and was pleasantly surprised he was suspended/on probation. I've always enjoyed this place. Makes me kinda sad and confused to see bad reviews. My roommate and I made this a go-to last year. I am korean, and the meats were definitely not top quality korean meats (though they were never bad. typical for georgia korean bbq). HOWEVER! I've always thought it was good for the price in a small southern town. The staff was always friendly and we often had fun conversations. They definitely are not as attentive as they should be though, so keep in mind you will have to flip your own meat frequently and keep an eye on it. I think it's a great atmosphere with nice people and good food. The best KBBQ place you'll find in this area! Love it there. read more

This is honestly a blessing on Earth, I've wanted a really good Korean BBQ restaurant in Athens for a long time but it never happened, we finally got one and I can say I'm extremely satisfied with how the restaurant is, the server we had (Angie) was extremely kind and welcoming, she helped show us around the menu and recommended different options for our group of six, however Lee also occasionally checked our table to make sure we were doing well and that really had us impressed, the beef options were my favorite because I am a diehard beef lover however my friends said the pork was extremely good too. All around the meat here is very tasty and almost melts in your mouth. I would highly recommend a visit because the price isn't too expensive for the quality and service. read more

D92 Korean BBQ is a blessing sent from the Korean Gods to Athens, GA. This is Athens one and only All You Can Eat (AYCE) Korean BBQ restaurants. For those that don't know, D92 is another chain from the 9292 ATL family. Even at their other locations they are serving up Korean quality dishes. So don't expect anything less from D92. If you're not in the mood for meat, but you'd like a taste of popular Korean dishes, that's not a problem, check out their Lunch and Dinner menu. If you're in the mood for meat, but you don't think you have the belly for AYCE, that's also not a problem, check out their meat selections for full portions & half a portion. They have a full bar & popular Korean music videos displaying on their televisions. I don't even understand Korean, but I know what party music sounds like. Today, Georgia was experiencing it's 2nd summer, it was 113 degrees around 1pm. I stopped by D92 and ordered myself their Cold Noodle Soup and a side order of dumplings. Wish I could have shown y'all what it looked like, but I devoured it within seconds. That's how good their food is! Their employees were attentive and friendly. Though not the best Korean BBQ I have been to, it was good enough for me to come back again in less than a week and I will choose D92 over iron factory whenever I get the craving for Korean barbecue from now on. The wait staff was excellent. Our waitress always checked on us to make sure we had enough sides, answered my questions clearly, and was very friendly. We also got the Korean fried chicken appetizer in both flavors and absolutely loved them both. My only complaint is that the portion was a bit smaller than I would have liked. This new restaurant is fantastic. First, the food is amazing. The refills of sides come quickly, so you're never left waiting for something to eat. The meat is cooked beautifully. And for the vegetarian in our group, there were plenty of things for her to eat between eggs, the sides, and a deliciously cooked portabella mushroom. The ambiance of the restaurant is also great. The music is a good volume and the place has a cool, modern look. And the service is great. We had two servers helping us, Lee and Jenni, and they were so pleasant.
