I would not recommend D'ames spa... they require six hour cancellation/rebooking. I understand that but when certain circumstances come up that you can't make that window, and emergencies happen... I bought a Groupon for $130 and they would not let me reschedule. I called three hours before the appointment time. I am literally out $130. I wouldn't mind paying a cancellation fee at least $130 is ridiculous. I've been to this place many times. I don't know if it's run by a different person or what but I've never had this problem before. Hopefully, you won't either. read more

The facial I had originally booked was one that used some products contraindicated for nursing mothers and Valerie was so great in catching this during our check in and then recommending a more suitable treatment for me. She explained all of the products she was going to use and I loved them all! The massage was heavenly and I was so relaxed I almost fell asleep. I had my very first spa experience here a few weeks ago on June 28th and it was amazing! I was gifted a facial and was actually kind of nervous because I'd never been and didn't know what to expect. When I walked in, the front desk person was very kind and when I told her that it was my first time she was so helpful and explained what I could expect. She asked me if I would like a drink, but I wasn't thirsty so I didn't get one. Jessica was the person who gave me a facial and she was wonderful! The room was so relaxing and calm. Everything felt so nice and when she was done I felt like my skin was so hydrated and I couldn't believe the difference it made looking at myself!! Before she started I had told her the skin care products I was using (Bare Minerals) and how my skin was still so dry and I had problem areas around where my C-pap machine hit my face. I don't know if she used products based on what I told her, or if they just have regular products they use no matter what, but whatever she used totally helped in my problem areas. My skin had/has never felt better. When I was leaving I asked what products from their Epicuren line they would recommend, because I couldn't believe how one facial could have make such a big difference and I wanted to keep it going when I was at home. Jessica picked the 3 products she would recommend for me based on what she saw of my skin. I purchased them right then and there and have been using them ever since. The price was comparable to products I have used in the past, but these products have been amazing for my skin and a little goes a long way! I no longer have dry patches around my nose and around my mouth. My skin looks and feels younger. I have been waiting for the dry skin to come back like I'm used to, but it hasn't. Booked a massage at D'ames spa, thanks to Groupon! I enjoyed their prenatal massage. The masseuse was very accommodating with my growing belly. They even had a body pillow for me to snuggle up to during the massage, as prenatal massages are typically done on your side. The ambience of the spa is great. They have about 3 rooms and a lobby, but you can enjoy the pool as another amenity. The receptionist was great too, able to answer all my questions, and booking beforehand was a breeze. I've been getting monthly massages at D'ames spa for two years now as part of the massage club (highly recommend). My favorite massage therapist has changed over The years, currently it's Gabriella. I started getting deep tissue massages with Gabriella last year, and now I've transitioned into prenatal massages since I learned I was pregnant. She is so skilled, caring and careful. I was nervous about getting massages while pregnant because I've read they can be risky, but I feel so safe and in good skilled hands with Gabriella. Let me start by saying I've had over 30 massages so I'm quite well-versed and what to expect. I don't expect cabinets banging, fumbling with pedals, music going on and off, cold oils and forgetfulness. They didn't remember to put a towel under my ankles or knees, when I would roll over which was very awkward. She didn't left the blankets to help me roll over without blankets slipping down. Numerous times she went to retrieve an item out of a cabinet and the cabinet door would slam. the music kept stopping so she would stop the massage to reach over and turn it back on. Often times the oil was cold. On a positive side she knew how to massage hands and feet. However often working on my shoulders and back felt more like pinching and poking rather than massaging and working of the muscles. The staff was friendly but I don't think I would go back. read more

Love this spa!! I found out about it when I was looking for a new esthetician that used a specific kind of wax. My first appointment was wonderful and Jessica is THE BEST!!!! She does it all from facials to Brazilians and she is the only person in the area I trust. She is only there two days a week and books up quickly, so make an appointment ahead of time. I tell all my friends to go and see her because she instantly puts you at ease and is so knowledgeable. The spa itself is located in a hotel right on the beach with wonderful views. It is small, intimate, quiet and everyone is so welcoming and professional. The owner always goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable and offers water, coffee, etc. Parking is super easy to find and there is valet if you don't feel like taking advantage of the street parking. This is the worst spa experience, I have ever had. To start, we show up 15-20min early to fill out paperwork and they werent even open yet. We decided to sit at the restaurant to wait. Once, we realized it was 6min past our 12pm appointment. When we showed up it took 15min to sign in and get ourselves situated. By then, my massage was only like 30min, it was cut short and the lady didnt apologize. The pictures online are deceiving because when we arrived the place looked small and janky, they only had 2 available rooms, in my previous experience the massages at a hotel are pretty spacious. The room was cold and the "soothing" music was on full blast. I asked to lower it but the lady said we have the music loud because you can hear the guest outside~! (not a very relaxing atmosphere) This is not what was described on groupon and I do not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Be the massage started they showed me a menu of scents to pick from. It was great to be able to do that because last time no one showed me this or gave me a choice.
