I had an excellent experience with D & D Carpet when I recently re-carpeted several rooms in my house. When I first visited the store Terry directed me right to the type of carpet I was looking for and helped me choose some sample boards to take home. When we chose the style we wanted, Terry's dad Steve came to our house to measure and he was just as friendly and efficient. He gave me a very fair bid within a day, reserved the carpet in the LA warehouse immediately and was able to rearrange their installation schedule to accommodate the date we needed. The install crew with Raul and Carlos was very hard working and able to get all four rooms done in a day, including furniture moving, tearing out and removing the old pad and carpet and installing the new pad and carpet. Their work was excellent and they cleaned as they went, so there was barely a trace they had been in our home besides the smell of new carpet! We chose this company based on other Yelp reviews and have no regrets. They were very helpful in suggesting the right type of carpet for our needs, as well as color. This was for our vacation home, so we had limited time to get it installed before we left. They accommodated our time line, and the installers went above and beyond to get the job (3 large bedrooms and a huge walk-in closet) done in one day. They accidentally damaged a piece of door molding while removing the old carpet. We had to hire someone else to repair it, and the company reimbursed us without a problem. Last Monday, July 14 2014 was one of the most satisfying days of my husband's and my life thanks to Steve and the Shaw Carpet Company. Ernesto and Luis (the installers) completed the condo in one day and it looks fantastic. Ernesto took photos of each room and even the wires on the backs of the television, cable boxes, etc. Our dealings with Steve and his family (his wife and daughter work in the shop) were exceptional in customer service and satisfaction. This past year was not an easy one for any of us. In June 2013 my husband decided that we needed to update our carpet and Jim Blair (he has cleaned our carpets for 14 years twice a year and is the best in the business) recommended that we only consider Shaw carpet due to its durability and select the top of the line in weaves. We went to D&D, worked with Steve and had it installed in late July 2013. By early November (I had major surgery in September) we realized that we were not pleased with the way the carpet was wearing. Steve came out twice, agreed and made contact with the Shaw customer service department. While it took several months (much of it due to my illness), Steve went way above the standards of providing excellent customer support and pursuing the replacement with the Shaw company. Due to a remodel, we asked Steve to hold the installation until this past Monday. All the way through this, Steve has totally been our angel and we can't even begin to thank him, his family and the Shaw company enough!
