I started off 2012 with getting hit by a AAA truck and needless to say it was quite a discomfort to my 2010 Mazda 5. My Geico insurance recommended this repair shop because they offered some express repair. I've been told to avoid insurance recommended place so I did some searching and came upon D & H Collision. A quick overview of the accident, my driver side door was completely smashed, glass and all to the point that you can't open the door. There was also a gash on the sliding door. A little elbow grease and duct tape wasn't going to do the job sadly. D & H took care of me right away. I had to wait a few hours for a rental car return, but once one came in, a tow truck came and brought me and my vehicle to D&H. I was a bit taken back by how carefree David the manager was, but he assured me even though I didn't have rental insurance, he'll take care of it. I signed a few papers and was given my 2010 Dodge Avenger car rental which wasn't great, but it did the job. David worked it out with the Geico adjustor (took her a week to show up) and promptly started repairs. 3 weeks later I got my car back better than new! New door and window and it looked like my car was completely detailed down to the car rims and also had the new car smell. Also he was able to remove some scratches on my bumper that wasn't covered by my insurance as well as some smudges on my rear view mirror from a botched installation at my dealership. The job he did was worth the extra he charged me from the agreed upon final price with rental car. All in all, the manager is a man of his word and I was very satisfied with the final results. I was also surprised to find that nothing in my car was taken like my bluetooth headset that I accidentally left in my car. Speaks alot about the integrity of the people at D&H. Hopefully I don't get into another accident but if I do I'll definitely be sure to go here. read more

On a recent visit to RI to see my mom, a lady accidentally backed into my mom's parked car. To her credit, she came into the hairdresser where my mom happened to be to see whose car it was...very honest of her! When we got back to her apartment, I looked at reviews of repair shops near where my mom lives and D & H was at the top. We drove there on a Saturday when unfortunately they were not opened. I returned to New York but my sister came down from Boston to help my my get the car fixed. Both my sister and my mom confirmed that Dave was as nice and as helpful as all the reviews suggest. Mom was also impressed with the repair job they did on her car and the friendliness of the man who picked up and returned her car. Now this is how to run a business! Went to D&H after seeing their reviews to see if they did any paintless dent removal. Met with Dave (I assume owner) and he came out to look at the dings I wanted to work on (two in one door and one in another). He confirmed that they could be taken out (no supports behind them). He then gave me an estimate which was well below what I was expecting. An additional bonus was that their 'ding guy' was available that afternoon. The removal of all took under an hour and the price was very reasonable. I could not even see any sign of them once complete (and I am a bit of a stickler on these types of things). I have not been for more serious work, but know they will be my first call should I need any. Very comfortable recommending them for dent removal. read more

So I just need to tell a little story of how amazing D & H is.....so last night I found that my car had two chemical like spots on my hood that were a rust color and had dripped all the way down my hood. I immediately took it to the car wash thinking it would come right off but it did not. So after an extremely rough night of sleep I woke up and thought of D & H which is right around the corner from me and I knew had a great reputation due to the reviews I had seen in the past. When I arrived Dave was outside helping a customer and when he finished came right over to me shook my hand and asked what the problem was. My intention was to just get advice on my best approach as to how I could try to remove at home. He asked me a few questions about it and said you know what bring it around right now into our first bay and let's see what we can do. I drove around and was met by Dave who gave instruction to one of his techs who proceeded to do some magic and got it off. He also buffed and waxed it out two times all with a smile and I even got to enjoy some great conversation with his sweet mom who happened to be there. After it was all set which took about 15-20 minutes I thanked him and he refused to take any payment. I even drove back around to the front and went in to ask if I could pay for the service and was told absolutely not. This is a obviously an amazing business who isn't there just to make a buck....like who does this...who does anything for free in this day in age???? I am extremely thankful to everyone who helped me today and recommend anyone who is looking for work to be done to not go any further because you know you will be treated fairly by D & H. After my experience there, it seems these 5 star reviews are legit. My vehicle was 4 months old with 4k miles on it... brand new. Had a heavy hit in the rear of my car. It took about 6 weeks to work it out, but I'm having a hard time finding any damage on my brand new car after their work was complete. The people you interact with, especially the owner, are on their game. Good communication, quality work and patience for the most part. It takes me over an hour and a half commute to get to D and H and back to my home. I had to make this commute 3 times. It was worth it. I plan on going back if I need this type of service again. Wow I brought my car here after an accident, and I will be DEFINITELY be back if need be! They were amazing. They got me a rental RIGHT away (my insurance covers it) and I had that for about 2 weeks while they did work. They made my car look better than when I bought it. It was buffed, polished and painted when I arrived. They detailed the inside, shampooed everything and went above and beyond what I expected! It would be an understatement for me to say I was lucky in dealing with such a sweet, understanding person for my first accident ever. We both drove to D&H and got the insurance squared away and the paperwork for the work on our cars. I brought my 2016 Jeep Wrangler to Dave at D&H Collision to be repaired after an auto accident. I brought my vehicle in and they repaired and returned it to me in A1 condition within 5 days! So I was referred to D and H collision after an accident this past thanksgiving 2020 and when I called I spoke to the owner himself (initially impressed,cause when do you see business owners answering calls and scheduling appointments) I'm now slightly embarrassed to admit but I was hysterical because I had just discovered I didn't have rental coverage and I was starting a new job the following Monday, anyway Dave was so compassionate and understanding he assured me that he would take care of everything for me, and let me tell you he went above and beyond! That Monday morning I drove my severally damaged 2016 Chevy Impala to D and h collision wear I was greeted by Dave's warm smiling face and again he assured me I was in good hands, but don't they all say that? I had no idea just how genuinely he meant that until two days ago He let me know my vehicle was ready and Informed him I would be in at am and that I would be heading in to work right afterwards just so I could hopefully still get to work on time. I pulled up with the rental I was returning and as I approached the door to enter my car was parked right by the entrance and I was blown away, like literally tears in my eyes because how amazing it looked! My car was already warming up for me, shining like a brand new car after approximately $10,000 in damages ! Then after extending my thanks and letting Dave know how much I appreciate all that he had done I made a smooth transition into my beautiful, warm car that I had missed so I immediately realized that it looked and smelled brand new inside too. First of all.... my car was there forever. So long. Literally months. When he was FINALLY done they had the nerve to charge me and extra day for the rental because they called me at 1 pm to get it and I was on vaca and returning the next day so I couldn't get my car till the next morning. He still charged me. My side corner now pops out for some reason. the woman I dealt with was uncooperative and rude. I hate to leave a nasty review but I am so unhappy I have to. Maybe they will see this and changed their ways. We all no they way over Charge insurance companies so to ask for me to pay the less than 24 hr xtra day for the rental was tacky. I never post reviews for anything, but I felt compelled to take the time and recognize the efforts that these guys went through for me and my vehicle. My car had part of a tree fall into it, smashing my back window, caving in the roof, and even breaking a door handle off. David and his team fixed my baby up and literally made it look better than when I first got it. It looked amazing. They invited me to bring the car back after a month to give it another buffing and even tweaked the trunk lid because I noticed it wasn't shutting as well as before. Got into a 6 car accident, my car went to d&h for about almost 3 months. They didn't paint my hood badly color matched my paint and got me 2 new headlights and on one the seal is broken so water gets in and I'm sure it will blow out in no time. Just wanted to let everyone know to do some research if you bring ur car to a body shops. Not to crazy about these guys. Def won't bring my car back here that's for sure. Not to mention the guy who estimated the damage on my car referred me here. When I get their he's in the main office, he worked their on the side. Just NOT happy with the work they did.
