When our community was created 31 years ago, the developer chose to plant type of inexpensive, fast growing pines (Aleppo) on the outer perimeter surrounding our community. Over the years, while these pines were attractive, they were messy year-round, grew to sixty and seventy feet in height, caused root damage to the plumbing of numerous homes homes and required risky, expensive tree trimming annually. With CLS' guidance, we are now in our third and final phase of removing these pines (early 2025), and are actively planting attractive new evergreen trees with non-invasive roots that will grow to a maximum height of 35-40 feet (Australian willows and carrotwoods). We'll benefit from lower maintenance expenses, which will enable us to invest in landscaping upgrades to key interior areas of our community.
