Disappointing service and communication. Ordered a corsage and boutonniere from the Herndon and Clovis location for May 2nd on April 21; paid in cash ($49.07). Went back in that Thursday to cancel my order (April 23rd). The worker called the main location and said that they could not take cash out from the cash drawer and would call me when they had the cash. Waited a whole week and no phone call. On April 30th (Thursday), I go back to the Clovis and Herndon location asking for my refund since prom is nearing and I didn't want any miscommunication to occur. They denied the refund reiterating that they could not give us cash from the cash drawer OR refund us via card. Was told to go to the main location if I wanted my money back. Drove 20 minutes to the main location just to get scolded by the owner/manager telling me that I should've gotten the money from the Herndon and Clovis location. I explained the situation to them, yet was still blamed for not receiving the money at the Herndon and Clovis location. Overall, would not go back. The cancellation was easy but the money refund was a difficult process. The manager at the main location was hard to deal with; I received an earful for instructions given to me by their second location. The communication among the manager and the second location worker was all over the place and there really is no way out. If you go, either pay with card or don't go. read more

Ordered a bouquet with roses and lilies for valentine's day. Roses started wilting within one and a half days, before the lilies had even bloomed. They only provide a 48hr guarantee for their flowers because they know they won't last an hour longer. I've had mail-delivered flowers that have lasted 4-5 days at least. Terrible quality, poor customer service, over-priced. Don't recommend. read more

I wish you could choose what style you want and then pick the colors of the flowers (pink theme or purple theme) so for this reason I am giving it a 4. I just had the most upsetting experience with this business and the manager James Hensley. I ordered a bouquet of sunflowers to be delivered to my best friend for her birthday but when they arrived, I was very disappointed to see that they looked nothing like the arrangement I had ordered. I don't have a lot of disposable income, but I wanted to make my friends feel special because she's going through a hard time nursing her son through cancer treatment. I emailed James last night to voice my displeasure about the flowers that she received and this morning all I received back was an offer for 35% off a future order, along with a lot of excuses. I called James and politely told him that this offer was not going to be satisfactory and that I really didn't have any need to order from them again. At that point, he then began to become defensive and told me that he would issue a full refund, but would also put a note in my file that I was never allowed to order from them again. He told me that I was being rude and disrespectful, simply for telling him that I was not happy with the solution he offered. At the start of the call when things were starting to go south I did let him know that I have a PTSD diagnosis, and that communicating with him was becoming difficult. He continued to talk over me, interrupt me, and when I continued to speak, he yelled "woman" at me to get me to stop speaking and at one point when I told him I was going to write reviews, he told me I didn't know who I was speaking to and I don't know who I'm dealing with... very threatening! I am not happy to say that at this point I was so triggered that I snapped and began screaming at him, and from there the conversation declined into a screaming match between him, and I. I asked to speak with someone above him, and he refused, so my only recourse now is to post online and hope that no one has to go through this type of abusive behavior as a result of James' inability to handle conflict with customers in a respectful and productive manner. I did asked to speak with the owner of the establishment, but he refused but I've noticed that she's reply to some reviews on here so hopefully we can connect and come to a better understanding about this whole situation. I'm also waiting on my refund so I will update this review when that's complete, otherwise I do plan to file a claim with my bank. read more

Flowers are beautiful but my arrangement came in a scratched vase. I was told because it's been delivered and in my possession that I wouldn't be given even a partial refund. How is it my fault the delivery person dropped off a damaged vase? My only option is to bring it back to them to replace the vase or take this one to the memorial service as is. This is a large, expensive arrangement and I paid for delivery and now because of lack of quality control, I have to drive it all the way back to them to replace the vase. I would have accepted them offering to deliver a new vase to me so that I'm not rushing around before a memorial service on their mess up. But that's not an option and apparently neither is a partial refund. read more

I have bought flowers here many times, and today I went in with a simple request: to fill 2 balloons with helium for my children. I was willing to pay a few bucks, as is fair. They informed me it would be SIXTEEN DOLLARS. Per balloon. This was for helium gas only, which goes for $8 per cubic meter. For them to treat a customer this way is shameful. Obviously I refused to pay $32 to fill 2 easy balloons. What a rip off. Their flowers looked awful. I was about to buy a bouquet while I waited. I will never be back. I've ordered from D&L before, and didn't make the connection until now, but I now realize they coordinate with FTD and also do a horrendous job with orders. I went in to order flowers and looked at a book that didn't even represent D&L's selection (that should've been red flag number one), and two women, one who appeared to possibly be a manager or head/lead florist, assured me that the vase and flower arrangement would look identical EXCEPT FOR ONE SET OF FLOWERS - I was told this by TWO women, and I was more than fine one one flower being replaced by another. HOWEVER, when I arrived a week later to pick up my arrangement THE ENTIRE BOQUET WAS DIFFERENT! They had a picture of the arrangement, a clear vase that I pointed out that they used (the most common hourglass-type vase ever), but the flowers were completely different and the vase was a dark purple?! How and WHY?! The flowers were a gift for my mom on her birthday, so I paid an extra $10 for a pre-arranged set, which looked 100x's better than what I ordered, and got out. I'm never going back and buyer beware: this place may have the name that Fresno is accustomed to, but their customer service and design is completely different. The general manager James was extremly immature and showed a childish behavior. My husband of 18 years has always went to this business for me and decided to place an order for our daughter. After this nightmare, we will no longer go to the place as it has gone extremly downhill. I tried to get someone higher than the GM (James) as he refused to do so and only gave me a Hotmail email account address and said he would forward to the owners. I ordered Cotton candy flowers for my Sister's 30th Birthday from D&L Floral. They have wonderful people working there. They called me to make sure if the birthday note was looking good. As I live hours away from Fresno I couldn't go there to see in person how their products were but it surprised me that the flowers looked just as good as the pictures posted! My sister loved it. I'm not one to write reviews and complain about a service (I'll complain to myself but not to the people providing the service). But I recently got married and ordered flowers from D&L for the wedding and although the arrangements were pretty, there were a few points I wanted to make about what I ordered vs what I was given. I ordered 4 bouquets and the bridesmaids ones were perfect. My boquete and the 10ft Garland I ordered were again pretty, but I made it an effort to request that no roses were on either of the products, and when I finally saw them, they had roses. I was disappointed. I only wanted peonies as the main flowers, and I requested this. They were also supposed to give us a bouquet to throw (which was actually mentioned by the florist who worked with us, she said they do it usually and it is free). So why not right!? When my father in law showed up, there was no throw boquete... we sent a family member to pick that one up separately. Lastly I asked for ribbon with a bow and the strings flowing off the boquete, even sent pictures of this. But there was only a piece of ribbon to hold the flowers together, no bow with hanging ribbon. We had sent my father in law to pick up the flowers the day of, so if I were the one to pick them up I would have mentioned to them nicely to see if they could quickly replace the mistakes but that was my fault. If I'm paying a certain amount for a service I expect my simple requests to be made. Still pretty arrangements but it's the principle of not getting what I ordered that bugged me. Selection i u DER stand is not the best but seriously a smile and proper attitude go a long way. I was ordering a dozen roses snd 2 wristlets for my grand mother's 98 birthday. I asked for pink roses no biggie and roses and carnations for a wristlet . The wristlets are 24 bucks a piece I was shown tea roses like you would see in a pot at Home Depot . Loved my experience here! It was super quick and beautiful. My sister just had her first baby and this was my first stop in Fresno. Everyone knows about D&L if you live in town, this is the go-to. I decided to get a dozen pink roses since my sister had a baby girl. The florist asked me if I wanted greenery and baby's breath. I said yes and she notified me that it was an extra $5. The roses came out beautifully and I chose to not put it in a vase. I also ordered 2 mylar balloons that said "It's a girl" on it. She informed that that the don't allow latex in the hospitals. The cost came out to $35 which I thought was pretty reasonable. I got two balloons that were $5 each, the extra greenery and a dozen roses. My sister absolutely adored them! After paying for all my items, the florist even gave me directions to the hospital and was extremely nice. I think the customer service was on point and so was the price. I loved how quick the transaction was and that she helped me right away even though it was last minute. The only reason why they don't get 5 stars is because the "self-serve" flowers seemed pretty dead. They had a good array of different arrangements in vases but you can tell that some arrangements were sitting in there far too long or they needed to clean them up. Another reason why they don't get 5 stars is because of their parking lot. They have parking right in front of the store but their store is on the corner. It gets really busy and their parking lot is just a little funky. There are two drive-way openings and it's super easy to hop off the curb when backing out to leave. read more

This place has always done me right even when there wrong. I have been getting flowers delivered or pick up and I had 1 bad experience but they took care of me but it was really time consuming. Please call in early so you can place your order with coupons on line or sign up to get them early enough so it won't be so expensive, I'm just saying we all love to save money. I prefer friends & family's not spending on me but I appreciate so much. So walk-in and smell those gorgeous flowers and enjoy them like I did. It's a great get out the doghouse gift lol. read more
