D&L Movers were amazing! They were incredibly responsive and I was easily able to book and confirm a moving date. The 3 movers who came were professional, friendly, careful, and quick. I was so impressed with how quickly they were able to move for us! We were going from a 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment to a 2 bedroom, 2 bath townhouse. The entire move was done in 3.5 hours. I did a move similar to this a number of years ago, and it took the crew 7 hours to do the same amount of things. Everything arrived in the exact condition it was in before the move. I have used 3 other moving companies in the past, but I would absolutely use these guys again over those other ones any day. I will definitely recommend them to my friends and family in any future move they do. The price they charged was lower than all of their competitors, and there were no hidden fees at all. They quoted me $153/hour for the move, and that's what they charged me in the end. My move included stairs too! Overall, amazing job. Love these guys! read more

D&L promised a little more than they could deliver. We liked the idea of a flat rate price (no hidden fees) and that's why we chose these movers. Lorraine explained that we would use 2 men for each move and all would be done in a timely fashion. Our items were scheduled for PICK-UP Thursday and MOVE-IN on Friday. Instead of moving in the next day, our items were kept over the weekend because D&L had "other commitments" already scheduled. Our items were kept in storage for 4 days-- and our move was delayed until TUESDAY! Even though we were ready to move in Friday we were asked to pay all 4 days of storage. These charges were not acknowledged before hand. Not to mention our property was also damaged during the move. D&L services come at a bargain and a compromise. They are cost effective however the hidden expense lies in their unfortunate customer service. Their services are paid cash in hand- beware. read more

No. First of all, it's not a moving truck, it's a fifth wheel. Very rude "customer service." They do not tell you everything on the phone. Fluid charges, slow movement. They don't move everything they tell you they will. (Seriously, why did we get a moving company? We moved more stuff than they did!) Cash only. That should tell you something. Don't bother. D & L moved my stuff from a very full 10 x 15 storage unit into my new home. They did it all in one run and it ended up being quicker than quoted, a little over 3 hours. I called 3 places and they had the best price and the guys were awesome. They also helped move out my current large appliances and moved in the new ones. After this experience I don't think I will ever move without movers, and if I do it will be D & L. read more

Well here it goes. I called to set up a date for my big move and I contacted Lorraine and she said she will send David (I believe that is his name) to come to my house on July 2 a Saturday NO SHOW. She called Saturday and said he will be there Sunday for sure NO SHOW. I didn't call July 4 because It was a holiday. Tuesday a call and she said Wednesday he will be there NO SHOW. At this point it's no use for me getting in contact with these people 3 times NO SHOW really??!!! Well they go to one of our neighbors probably for an estimate and they drive by slowly by our house staring. This happened just a few days ago. I ended up calling A1 movers and I let the owner know the little problem we had and he set up an appointment right away for us to move. The showed up early and did a fabulous job!!!!!!!!!!!! I was talking to one of the workers and he said he knows them and it was a shame for them to blow me off 3 times. My quote from A1 was low but ended up giving them a nice tip for being there for me. I do not recommend this place at all. 3 times is more than I should of had to deal with them blowing me off. Call A1 Movers they helped me when I needed them! read more

I had never used movers before so I wasn't sure what to expect... But these movers were great! They got everything done in a couple hours and in one trip where it would have me a week and multiple trips back and forth! They worked hard the entire time to get everything loaded... Went above and beyond to take care of my family's stuff and make sure nothing was broken, and carefully but quickly got everything unloaded at our new house. Although I hope to not have to move again any time soon, I would definitely use them again! read more

BE SMART, READ AND HEED MY ADVICE....I should have taken more to heart the negative rating fro "Gabie T." I too spoke to Lorraine about setting up an estimate but was told they charge $85 an hour. Despite the negative review I told her I thought the others made up for it and I was comfortable scheduling a firm moving date for the 26th of December. I scheduled an appointment for an estimate for 10-12 on the 19th. She called on the 19th and changed it to 12-1 which they actually did show up but late. I got a phone message from her at 7:30 that night asking me to call her back and when I did I only got her voice mail. She called me back the next day not only to give me an over inflated, outrages, over the top price but then said they were no longer available for the 26th which she had previously confirmed on the phone that she would "put me on the calendar for that date so she wouldn't book another move". I am a USAF Veteran and my father is a USN Veteran so basically I've been moving all my life and am more familiar than most on costs and moving since I moved/lived in 10 different places before I was 13 years old. Most recently when I moved from Los Angeles to Palmdale (an hour and a half drive added to the hourly cost) I paid $650. D & L wanted to charge me $875 to move two miles down the road. I since discovered that there are many other great movers in Palmdale and I highly suggest not wasting your time on this company that will FLAKE AND RIP YOU OFF. read more

These are amazing movers! I was really nervous hiring movers because we have always done it ourselves but because of timing issues we couldn't do it ourselves this time. I looked all over yelp and other sites for reviews for companies and this was the highest rated local movers I found. Their pricing was extremely reasonable and Lorraine was great!! My escrow date changed after I had them scheduled and she totally worked it out for me even though I know they were super busy considering the new date was the end of the month when everyone moves.
