She made me feel very comfortable and at ease with this move. Appreciation for how Terry and her crew of employees guided us, helped us, and made sure that we had a pleasant experience. There were no surprises. Terry was up front and very knowledgable. I could tell right away this was going to be a positive experience when I saw the excellent condition of their warehouse and their equipment. I know there are cheaper moving options out there but you really need to consider what is best for you in the long run. We wanted to be sure that our items were handled, loaded and unloaded properly. Walter's moving truck was very clean, the moving pads look to be almost brand-new and the equipment was top notch. You can read many horror stories about families that tried to save money and used a low-cost option mover with bait and switch tactics only to find that it was a complete disaster with increased costs, uncertain timetable changes and items broken missing etc. etc. All unwanted surprises. We did our own packing and Terry explained how to pack the boxes so that there would be no damage to contents when the boxes were loaded, stacked and unloaded. They provided us with free used clean boxes that they had from prior moves. This saved us some money. They padded our furniture and loaded everything - an art in and of itself. Another plus was the air ride suspension of the moving truck. Some state have horrible road surfaces. Everything about our move is above board, schedules were met, and all commitments were honored. The price was very competitive. Terry came up to our house did an estimate based on what we had and gave us a realistic competitive bid. We got into our condo in Pennsylvania just fine. Walter and Rob unloaded us. They were wonderful, everything looks good. I appreciate all Walter, Rob & Terry and their crew did to help us and the overall experience was pleasant, fun and exciting. Relocating across the country or across the state is a stressful situation. Especially with new jobs, buying and selling houses ,moving the family, schools etc. One of the stressful things that can be minimized is the actual moving process. That is why we trusted and used Farley brothers.

They lost personal belongings of mine, were 2-months late in delivering my things, I have boxes that belong to someone else, the boxes that are mine are damaged and in terrible shape, and I have lost personal money on my business because I trusted this company by shipping my business from Seattle to Hawaii. I moved from Seattle back home to Hawai'i and solicited bids from various moving companies. Hawaii Island Movers was the most affordable, plus they stated they'd assist with door to door pickup and delivery. For 100 cubic feet, they quoted me $2,500. Come pickup day- no one told me a different company (Acclaimed Movers and Storage) would be picking up my belongings. Niky D. (the person who quoted me) had a Hawaii Island Movers email and website. Today, both are not working (strange). Unfortunately, at this point, we have our plane tickets to move to Hawaii, we have a move out date, and I cannot start the process over again to find a new shipping company. So, I was stuck with these guys. At pick up, I was quoted to retrieve my personal belongings in a month. I had to put 50% down payment and told the guy how uncomfortable I was giving him my money while he treated my personal stuff like they were meant to be thrown in a dumpster. He laughed. Told me stop worrying and chill out. I knew at this very moment this whole thing was bad news and I got scammed. 3 months I had finally received my belongings. In between then, I called multiple times and spoke to multiple people who had no real idea where my stuff was located. First, I was told it didn't leave Seattle. Second, I was told it was already shipped to Hawai'i. Third time, it was just arriving in Long Beach California from Seattle and about to leave Long Beach to Hawaii. Finally- Island Movers calls and tells me they've messed up because of the holidays and that my belongings were for sure on its way. Because I have now lost about $2,500 on my personal business (I have client's work in my boxes and couldn't work on their businesses since I couldn't access their work) - I ask for some a discount to help alleviate my expenditures. They say I must talk to their manager. Guy calls me back and instead of taking my claim, he's more concerned about my business consulting services since he's quitting in a month and needed my services (WTH!). He says he just needs to take my credit card to have on file, and that nothing will be charged until he looks into things. 24 hours later- they charge me the remaining 50% balance due and completely goes against their word. Arrival day was ok, expect that we are now missing boxes. We were clearly the last delivery that morning and the moving guys had extra belongings in their truck and asked if it were ours and if we wanted it. Wow! Yes, I can understand I moved during the holidays - but this company agreed to the services, took on my business and have a responsibility to uphold their end of the deal or give me my money back. On top of that- the chaos and disorganization along the way makes me realize that no one here is trained properly or has any idea how to do their jobs. Last thing - a guy calls me a week later and tells me he has one of my 5 missing boxes. He opened it and dug through my paperwork to find out whose box this was. It's my personal business documents. Thank god! I met him to pick up my belongings. He told me his story and its worst. He was charged $4k extra on top of the estimate he was provided, and it took 5-additional months to receive his belongings. I now started investigating Acclaimed Movers and have found numerous similar complaints. This company is under investigation. I am adding my name to the many complaints now to ensure others don't fall for the same scam I fell into. I've also contacted the actual Island Movers to inform them of the branding trick. I hope this review helps others seriously avoid this company.

Made me sign the contract before they even start loading my furniture and belongings. The contract states I agree that the service was satisfactory and completed. All the items are received in good condition. If I didn't sign they were not going to do the move. Quoted me $99 per hour, but charged me two times that. Damaged my dining room table. When I pointed it out, the guy said "are you sure it wasn't damaged before?" I have a pic to prove it and it was not. I called the company about the damage, left messages. No one called back and didn't answer the phone. I also texted Julie (she was the one I was dealing with) no response at all. Stay away from these people and this company. Big mistake using them.
