**Terrible Moving Experience with SOS Moving** I had the worst moving experience of my life with SOS Moving, and I strongly advise against using their services. I recently moved apartments and hired them, but from the very beginning, it was a nightmare. The movers arrived over 20 minutes late, and immediately complained about parking, despite the fact that there was ample space to park. They never introduced themselves but whoever texted me to let me know they were on the way was named Vitalii. From the get-go, the movers were careless and disrespectful. One of the movers flipped a box labeled "fragile" upside down, and when I politely asked him not to do that, he rolled his eyes at me and started speaking to his coworker in another language. As they brought down my boxes, I could hear them banging them down the stairs, stacking heavy boxes on top of each other with no regard for the contents. I watched them bump multiple pieces of furniture on the walls and ceiling. As an artist, I specifically asked them to individually wrap my hand-painted artwork, which is extremely valuable to me. Instead, they carelessly threw my paintings into a wardrobe box with clothes, ignored my request to wrap them individually, and stacked multiple paintings together. One mover even tried to wrap a metal whiteboard with one of my paintings and I asked him to stop again. He again rolled his eyes and began talking in another language to his coworker. Their lack of care extended from my furniture to clothes as well. They left wardrobe boxes in the living room instead of bringing them into the bedroom, making me carry them myself. They seemed annoyed when I asked for more wardrobe boxes and rudely suggested I shove my clothes in to make more room. Throughout the move, the two movers continuously spoke in a foreign language, and seemed as if it was in a negative way towards me and my stuff. Their attitude changed slightly when we arrived at my new apartment, which is more luxurious than the old one. What truly crossed the line was the payment process. The mover asked me to enter my credit card information into his phone to complete the payment. He then took THREE screenshots of my card information, claiming there was an issue with the Wi-Fi. I saw him send the screenshot to someone and asked about it and he again said it was because of the WiFi. I felt incredibly uncomfortable, he then pressured me into tipping despite their awful service. I was hesitant and asked to enter the amount myself but he insisted on entering the tip himself, raising his voice and asking me "How much you tip me? 15% 20% or 30%?" and I ended up paying 15% despite my wishes. To make matters worse, he almost left with my key fob, which grants access to the entire building. I had to ask for it back before he pretended to "find" it in his pocket. Now, here's the part that makes this even more frustrating. I was actually recommended to SOS Moving by a friend who had an absolutely beautiful experience with them. She had two different workers who were kind, professional, and respectful. Her great review of their service was why I felt confident hiring them. After this horrible experience, I called customer service and spoke with Michael. He was dismissive, uncaring, and clearly not interested in resolving the situation. Despite promising to call back, I had to follow up multiple times, and he only offered to refund the forced tip, not acknowledging the terrible service. I also discovered a damaged lamp. I haven't unpacked everything, so I'm not sure what else may be broken. Overall, this was a complete disaster from start to finish. The workers were careless, rude, and unprofessional, and the customer service was just as bad. I still haven't received a proper resolution or refund for this horrible experience. I strongly recommend avoiding SOS Moving at all costs. Update: The customer service representative, Micheal, only offered to refund me for my absolute terrible experience by offering the full refund back only if I take down this honest review. I was moving from California to Colorado and needed a moving company to help me get all of my stuff out there. I reached out to SOS Moving and they asked some questions about my move and how much stuff I had. They then gave me a quote and locked in my reservation date. I got constant email updates reminding me that my move was scheduled and the night before I was reached out to letting me know I would get a call before my 8-9am arrival window with an exact time frame. At 7:40am on the day of the move I got a call from Aziz and he let me know that his crew (Viktor and Alikhan), and himself would be arriving around 8:20am. They arrived and got started loading up all of our stuff into their truck. Aziz went upstairs to wrap up the larger furniture which Viktor and Alikhan started loading all the boxes we had ready in the garage. Once Aziz was done wrapping up all of our furniture, the three of them got all the larger items down to the garage and got them loaded onto the truck. I paid for full coverage insurance through Baker International Insurance as SOS Moving recommended and the insurance company asked that the moving company pack up my expensive TV and furniture so that it would be properly covered by their insurance. Aziz went above and beyond wrapping up my furniture and TV to make sure the insurance company would be happy with their packing job. The Loading process took about 2.5 hours and it was super painless and very easy. Viktor asked me what route I would be taking to Colorado and updated their route to go the same way as us so we would get to the new house around the same time. I have a tesla so I had to stop 10 times on the way out to our destination and they were aware of that so they planned their trip perfectly to arrive when we did. After they finished loading the truck, I paid the first half of the payment for the move to Aziz. I received a email receipt from the company right away and then they headed out. They dropped off Alikhan as only Aziz and Viktor was doing the drive and unloading at the new house. We left the house around 11am PST and drove to Gallup NM and stopped for the night around 12am MST. I got updates from Aziz the whole way with their progress and I let them know what our ETA to the house was the next day. The next morning they reached out and let me know what their ETA was and we kept in contact the entire time. Once we reached the house around 3pm MST I signed the documents for arrival and paid the final portion of the cost of the move then Aziz and Viktor got to work unloading all of our stuff from the truck. Two hours later everything was unloaded and our furniture was reassembled in the desired rooms. We ended up not needing the insurance because Aziz and his crew did such a fantastic job, but it's still worth every dollar in case of something out of their control happened. This was the literal best experience I've ever had with a moving company. Aziz and his crew were incredible and I recommend them super highly for anyone doing any distance of a move. I read so many horror stories about other moving companies and what they can get away with and SOS Moving put all of those fears to rest and just made me so happy to have hired them for my move to Colorado. read more

BEWARE!!!! SHADY BUSINESS!!!!!! I moved using SOS Movers in 2022 and had a good experience, you can see my previous review. That time they were professional, efficient and respectful, but my father was with me. When I moved late last month, I figured it was a no-brainer to use them again, but I was wrong. As a young woman moving alone I was disrespected, made to feel unsafe in my own home, extorted for a tip and then given essentially a 'gag order' that I would not speak on my negative experience should I leave an honest review of their services. Here's what happened: About 1/2 way through my move, while all of my items were still in their truck, and I was alone with the two men in my home. The foreman approached me to tell me that I should tip each of the movers $100 dollars because and I quote 'The Company Does not pay them'. As a young woman moving alone I felt incredibly uncomfortable declining this ask, as I wasn't sure how they would retaliate. When I called the company to describe my experience and report the damage I found on my furniture, I was told 'it rarely happens but sometimes it does' and that they hoped I wouldn't tip that much on my 1-bedroom apartment move. I never received an apology. I sent an email reporting damage to my furniture and they took 11 days to reply. When they did they offered my $100 saying 'it was more than the insurance would offer' since they pay .60 per pound. I wasn't aware this was a freight moving company and I'm not even sure how that metric makes sense when they don't weigh your items. Real professional movers would assess each piece of furniture with you before leaving and support in fixing the damage, but at $100 for 2 pieces of $2000+ furniture being damaged is absurd. Just know, if they lose your stuff you'll get reimbursed no money and if they ruin it, same thing. At this point, I couldn't deal with them any more and told them I would accept the $100 and move on but would be leaving a bad review. They called me back 1 hour later to tell me that the terms and conditions of them reimbursing me for what they damaged was that I would never leave them a bad review -- disgusting and shady practice and tells you everything you need to know about this company and their fake reviews. It also tells you why their movers felt comfortable essentially extorting me for a bigger tip. I asked them to have a manager call me to discuss and while they told me someone would, I never received a call back. This company is disgusting and vile, they will take terrible care of your things and take 0 responsibility for the actions of their employees. read more

I wish I could give these guys more stars! Everything about my experience with SOS was just what we needed. THE STELLAR CREW! Ilbert and his crew, Alex, Beny, Fredy, Juan and Andres are INCREDIBLE. They SAVED us. I am a *very* detail oriented person with very high standards and I will use this company again and again. Ilbert is an *excellent* foreman and the guys are so good at making sure they handle delicate items with extreme care. I told them what I needed and they just did it - exactly as specified with so much respect for the details I needed. They got it - and we didn't have a lot of time to get our job done. They worked so so fast but also with *superior* care AND their demeanor was so cheerful every step of the way! Never have I felt so safe letting someone, let alone, 6 people, pack my home completely - and much of the time, without me feeling like I needed to be involved or supervise. With these guys YOU CAN TRULY DELEGATE! Moving is so stressful and boy do they really help alleviate that stress! Ilbert treated me with so much respect for my need to maintain balance between packing, working and taking breaks. Never did I feel pressured or an ounce of impatience from them while I had to work and/or make packing decisions. You can't ask for a better foreman and team. AT THE STORAGE UNITS: When we got to our storage units they did everything they could to help us place boxes in a truly organized fashion so we could find our items with ease, room by room. Again, what a team! They also made sure we used every inch possible of our storage spaces as we had a huge move to complete and needed every bit of space available to us - they are Tetris Masters! PAYMENT: Ilbert was very very attentive to clarity about our terms so there were zero surprises when it came to costs and to payments. That's always a huge relief. NO HIDDEN COSTS!
