I was told multiple times by multiple people that my stuff would get here at certain times and on certain days. Then it wouldn't for some reason. They would have excuses upon excuses as to why my things were not here yet. Eventually when it did get here, things were damaged beyond repair. I would suggest to not go with these people. They lie and cheat.

Very bad company, failed to deliver my stuff on time they arrived ten days later with many damages to my furnitures , they increase the price $500 they claim I have more items the truth is they break one item to several items when they disassembled, they make me and my family suffer for ten days I stayed in hotel couple of days than I rent place I moved in without my belongings, my kids need to go to school with same clothes we slept in the floor.. Don't you think it is silly when they ask me for money because they storage my stuff.,,lol I didn't intend to give them any star but I can't post my comment unless I do so

Terrible. After I moved a lot of stuff was missing and broken...I only moved about 20 miles.Calls to them were worthless.I did manage to retrieve a valuable mirror after threatening to stop payment.I checked the back of the truck before they left & it was empty. They must have brought a 2nd truck & off loaded some stuff before arriving at my new place.Among the missing was a large box of personal papers. This was almost 7 years ago.Since then I've had 4 episodes of identity theft and large fraudulent charges-just yesterday another $1300.I truly believe it's a result of their theft.Do not use under any circumstance!!! read more
AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST. They tricked me by advertising the name "Hawaii Island Movers," (I thought this was Island Movers, the reputable company in Hawaii) as well as into an unauthorized charge, which I am now pursuing a lawsuit for. They lost personal belongings of mine, were 2-months late in delivering my things, I have boxes that belong to someone else, the boxes that are mine are damaged and in terrible shape, and I have lost personal money on my business because I trusted this company by shipping my business from Seattle to Hawaii. I moved from Seattle back home to Hawai'i and solicited bids from various moving companies. Hawaii Island Movers was the most affordable, plus they stated they'd assist with door to door pickup and delivery. For 100 cubic feet, they quoted me $2,500. Come pickup day- no one told me a different company (Acclaimed Movers and Storage) would be picking up my belongings. Niky D. (the person who quoted me) had a Hawaii Island Movers email and website. Today, both are not working (strange). Unfortunately, at this point, we have our plane tickets to move to Hawaii, we have a move out date, and I cannot start the process over again to find a new shipping company. So, I was stuck with these guys. At pick up, I was quoted to retrieve my personal belongings in a month. I had to put 50% down payment and told the guy how uncomfortable I was giving him my money while he treated my personal stuff like they were meant to be thrown in a dumpster. He laughed. Told me stop worrying and chill out. I knew at this very moment this whole thing was bad news and I got scammed. 3 months I had finally received my belongings. In between then, I called multiple times and spoke to multiple people who had no real idea where my stuff was located. First, I was told it didn't leave Seattle. Second, I was told it was already shipped to Hawai'i. Third time, it was just arriving in Long Beach California from Seattle and about to leave Long Beach to Hawaii. Finally- Island Movers calls and tells me they've messed up because of the holidays and that my belongings were for sure on its way. Because I have now lost about $2,500 on my personal business (I have client's work in my boxes and couldn't work on their businesses since I couldn't access their work) - I ask for some a discount to help alleviate my expenditures. They say I must talk to their manager. Guy calls me back and instead of taking my claim, he's more concerned about my business consulting services since he's quitting in a month and needed my services (WTH!). He says he just needs to take my credit card to have on file, and that nothing will be charged until he looks into things. 24 hours later- they charge me the remaining 50% balance due and completely goes against their word. Arrival day was ok, expect that we are now missing boxes. We were clearly the last delivery that morning and the moving guys had extra belongings in their truck and asked if it were ours and if we wanted it. Wow! Yes, I can understand I moved during the holidays - but this company agreed to the services, took on my business and have a responsibility to uphold their end of the deal or give me my money back. On top of that- the chaos and disorganization along the way makes me realize that no one here is trained properly or has any idea how to do their jobs. Last thing - a guy calls me a week later and tells me he has one of my 5 missing boxes. He opened it and dug through my paperwork to find out whose box this was. It's my personal business documents. Thank god! I met him to pick up my belongings. He told me his story and its worst. He was charged $4k extra on top of the estimate he was provided, and it took 5-additional months to receive his belongings. I now started investigating Acclaimed Movers and have found numerous similar complaints. This company is under investigation. I am adding my name to the many complaints now to ensure others don't fall for the same scam I fell into. I've also contacted the actual Island Movers to inform them of the branding trick. I hope this review helps others seriously avoid this company. read more

AM&S is unfortunately, the epitome of unprofessional, the embodiment of deception, and the defacto example of what you want to avoid when asking a moving company to handle your personal belongings. You can NOT trust AM&S to treat your possessions with the care, security, and trust that they should be. They will over-promise and under-deliver, and not feel bad in the least when you are inconvenienced by their mediocrity. Even after asking if AM&S could deliver within a specified window and receiving assurance that such a delivery was feasible, AM&S reneged on this commitment and scheduled delivery for the following week, thus disrupting a new job-start date, travel plans, and forcing extra costs to be incurred (temporary kitchen utensil and furniture arrangements, eating out, etc). Itemization of (some) Failures by AM&S: --Failure to Notify of impending Delay --Failure to return any subsequent phone call within timeframe specified by AM&S, or return phone call at all --Failure to Meet Agreed upon deadline --Failure to offer any kind of consolation, consideration, or compensation to customer --Failure to speak to a 'person' and instead resorted to 'contract speak' and quoting business policy in order to explain AM&S's behavior and business conduct. --Failure to meet delivery date by more than five (5) days You may be tempted to save money by using this service, but the peace of mind (and potential loss of your belongings) that you will lose as a result of dealing with the incompetence of this company is NOT worth that dollar savings. Do yourself a favor and consider a moving company that has demonstrated and earned its opportunity to do business with you, and one that is more deserving of your trust. Oh, and I see their PR-damage-control rep, "Eugina C." is berating and attacking former customers on Yelp as well. If you are still thinking about using this service, just look for her and see how they respond to 1-star reviews, and ask yourself if that is how you want to be treated. Also, Google Reviews seems to be planted with a lot of fake reviews for this service - all the people who reviewed the service gave it 5 stars and it was the only review that each of the individuals had ever written (and all within a 3 months period of today)! To wrap up, don't trust the Better Business Bureau's review of their service. It is shady that the BBB could accredit this service, but a crowd-sourced review system like Yelp could tell a completely different story. read more
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are a scam!! I am appalled that they are still in business somehow. I would give them 0 stars if I could. Where to even start with these people? "Gina" the salesperson quoted us a very competitive rate so we moved forward with booking and she told us our furniture would be in Los Angeles (from Atlanta) within a week. We then found out that we had to pay an extra $1,000 because they claimed their moving truck couldn't easily get to our townhouse (What??) In a hurry to get things moving, we said okay and signed the contract. Shame on us for not reading every last bit of the fine print! Turns out their contract reads that you will get your furniture WITHIN 30 DAYS. A month!! That is not acceptable! The worst part, however, was their awful, terrible "customer service." Their inept phone-answerer Jen gave us bad information and lied to us SEVERAL times. In fact, after over 2 weeks of bad information and vague answers about where our furniture was, we had to threaten to call our lawyer and claim lost/stolen goods by the company before she would then tell us that our furniture was still in Atlanta! After 2 weeks! Just sitting there in the summer heat on a truck! And that it would be another 2 weeks before our furniture would arrive in L.A. The very next day we got a call from the moving truck driver saying he would be there within 24 hours. Well, which is it? Tomorrow or 2 weeks from now? We called back Jen and asked to talk to her supervisor, who must not exist because she wouldn't give us a name or connect us with anyone after multiple attempts at asking. Multiple times Jen said she would call us back with better information and she never did. TERRIBLE "SERVICE." When the movers arrived, they refused to unload our furniture until we gave them $100 cash. I saw on other reviews that this was a scam they were running, so I offered them $62 in cash and they said okay, which PROVES that this is a scam they run to hold your furniture hostage until you give them a "tip" up front. If the company really required $100 "for more than 72 feet to the door of the house" they would not have accepted $62. Furthermore, all kinds of things were broken when they arrived and just so we don't have to deal with their ineptitude anymore we are just dealing with it. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!!! STAY FAR AWAY!!!! read more

I am writing this in hopes that a manager or Randolph the owner can let know what happened to my shipment! It's been well OVER A MONTH. I arranged to have items from my Dad's estate shipped from North Carolina to Santa Cruz CA. Items were picked as scheduled, yet I'm unable to get anyone to call me back (except to demand partial payment) which I made and found out a few days later they hadn't processed my payment. The sales lady hooks you in with sweet talk and good price. The only way to talk to a human is to dial 1 for a quote to talk to the nice sales lady that is no help. She did tell me that most people come into work at 10:30am. Whatever!! Where is my shipment!!!????? read more

Do NOT hire this company. I was in a time crunch to get out of my apartment unexpectedly and not only did Acclaimed not show up in the two hour window that they were supposed to but they also did'n't even call to say that they would be late! And they do not offer a discount for being late! I had to call to check in with them myself and Gina at the front desk had no idea where the movers were and could not get a hold of them. After 30 minutes of waiting for her to call me back, I called Aliance (another NoHO moving company) and they ACTUALLY SHOWED UP less than an hour from my call. The worst part is that Gina said that Acclaimed had had a cancellation that morning so there was no reason that they should be late. Great. Completely disrespectful. Completely unprofessional. Acclaimed made a good two hours of my day feel like hell. Thanks for nothing, Acclaimed. You are the worst. read more

UPDATE: FROM BAD TO WORSE: I finally figured out that CSI didn't handle claims for England Van Lines (with whom I'd contracted), but did for Acclaimed (the bait & switch company), so I started the filing process under Acclaimed. THEN, CSI Pros sent me the following email that they no longer have an agreement with Acclaimed. So, I'm out $6,712.87 in damages with no way to recoup. Furthermore, Acclaimed STILL has not provided me with copies of the Bill of Lading, Contract, Inventory, etc. AND, I still have boxes missing. There has been ZERO follow up from either Acclaimed or England Van Lines in regard to any of the above issues. EXCEPT, to dispute my claim with the BBB. This company indulges in illegal bait & switches, failure to provide documentation, as well as negligible--to be kind!--packing, delivery, and customer service. STAY AWAY! This place literally saved the day! After a failed delivery experience from a furniture store, I was left to find movers for a huge sectional sofa. After calling many places, others were too expensive, or could not make time for me until a day or two later. Luckily I found Acclaimed Movers, and they were able to come out just an hour after I called them. Their prices was lower then other places I called as well. Anyone who has hired movers in LA knows that, well, you just never know what you might get. The 2 men that showed up at my door from Acclaimed were SO polite. I mean, I can't stress enough just how friendly and considerate they were. Movers with manners. They got the job done right, quickly and ended up saving me money with a discount in the end. I will absolutely call this company when it's time to move again. read more

03/19/2013 Update: Soon after posting this (see below), Robbie from Acclaimed personally got in contact with me. Acclaimed worked with me to reach a reasonable settlement, and I'm satisfied. So, I've changed their Rating from 1 Star to 3 Stars ("A-OK"). Thanks, Acclaimed. :) --- My delivery was delayed by two weeks. Items were delivered broken. Some items were not even delivered. The company offered me only $27.60 to settle. These are things you absolutely should know before entrusting your property to this company. I was moving from Los Angeles to Denver. They picked up my things October 30th, promised delivery on November 6th. Delivery occurred on the 20th. During this two-week interim, I was not called once. I had to take it upon myself to make daily phone calls and to finally reach the driver, himself. Acclaimed simply said --It's on the way, and we can't promise anything. When my things finally arrived, some were broken. Some were never even delivered. Were they stolen when they packed my things? Stolen along the way? I have no idea. Thankfully, I had taken photos of the packing process (I paid for professional packing of everything) and immediately began to inspect everything upon delivery. I took my time. Acclaimed has a settlement process, and they offered me $27.60. My missing mounting unit for my television was $100, by itself. Don't, don't, don't entrust your things to this company. They made an already stressful experience almost intolerable. I would recommend any other company. Definitely not Acclaimed. [Edit: Looking at the other reviews, it's apparently a complete and total disaster with this company, or five stars. If I knew what I know now, I wouldn't take the risk. Not even if they offer a coupon.] read more

*** Reported to BBB*** Please count your boxes. I made the mistake of putting my iHome back in its original box and not in a bigger box like the rest of my items. Everything made it to my new apartment but my iHome. It has been "misplaced". I have called 3 times - spoken to Gina twice who has yet to call me back. Pros: Showed up on time None of my furniture was broken They were efficient and completed the move ahead of time. I was however fully packed up and I only needed to put my hanging clothes into my wardrobe boxes. Cons: I was not able to look in the truck to make sure my belongings were all gone. Hence I believe that my smaller box was lost. My suggestion - do not use this company unless you can count how many boxes you have going into the truck and coming out. Lesson learned for me. Update - after I posted this review I finally got 5 phone calls in one day from a manager named Jamie. He kindly explained to me that he did get my message on Sunday when I called to report my missing iHome box, but failed to call me back. He did state that he had hear that I had called twice to follow up (mind you I was very kind) and that he is sorry that no one called me back. He asked me what could he do help me change my Yelp review to save the company's reputation. Um.. not misplacing my iHome would have been the right thing to do. They did finally give me the information to file a claim. Thank you Yelp for your help in getting a phone call back!!!! read more

Used them about a year ago, and these people are straight up, incompetent liars. They're just using their connections to hire movers, you can get a better deal, and better luck just doing their job for them... you're just playing numbers otherwise, and placing your money in the hands of people who have no real concerns or ties to your belongings. I just wanted to provide an update that I have been accused by another Yelper of holding a fake account because of my positive review on this page. All I can say is for me, my experience is my experience, and we just completed our 4th successful move with them last Saturday (another medical office), and all four moves have gone off without a single hitch. Acclaimed Movers even worked with me, on a very short turnaround time, to get a specific insurance COI that we needed for the building we were moving into. I can understand and appreciate that this has obviously not been everyone's experience, but I still stand by what I wrote back in April. Thanks! Have a lovely day. read more

RED FLAG. AVOID. The customer is always wrong. They arrived. CASH ONLY. Their credit card machine didn't work, sorry, CASH... and the final sum, paid before they unloaded was $300 + over what was quoted with an in-home visit, smiles and assurances. No communication between management and movers, they had NO IDEA they were supposed to have 2 separate consignments. FIASCO from beginning to end. To save $ - which never was saved - I worked right along side them on both ends. And, you pay, when the crew stops at the store for drinks, that's called travel time and it's on your dime! read more

Update from our move day on 7/31/2014. It was a NIGHTMARE. The guys were exhausted from their earlier move, DIDN'T FINISH, and after 10-12 hours never even touched the kitchen. They did however fall asleep on the pavement outside our garage at 2 am. They also unpacked and repacked boxes that were already packed. Sorry, these reviews are not "iffy". This company is something out of a horror movie. I was having a bodykit for my car delivered on a truck. The truck had scheduled the drop off for 2pm (cant remember exact time but around then) and my part was to get a forklift and forklift driver to get the bodykit off the truck. I called this company and they offered me a forklift, a forklift driver, and a team of movers for the day. I told them I only needed the one forklift driver for an hour at most since it was just one pallet, they informed me that there was a 3 hour minimum and I agreed. The person delivering and driving the forklift was over FIVE HOURS LATE! Because he was five hours late I ended up having to bride the driver of the truck with 120 dollars to stay till he arrived. When he arrived, instead of apologizing for being late and getting the damn bodykit off the truck so the driver could leave, he made me sign a series of contract first (which he obviously was not prepared for as he had to make several calls to verify things). This lasted about 30 minutes. Come to find out that the contract was not for the agreed upon amount but about $500 more than we talked about (they had changed it to a 6 hour minimum). I tried to argue but I ended up having to pay because, once again, I had already kept the truck driver five hours past and needed the bodykit off the truck now because the truck drivers next stop was in Texas. So basically they LIED about the price, showed up ridiculously LATE, and made me sign a contract under DURESS. P.S. Topping on the cake. When their guy finally arrived I found out he was a Nazi based on his multiple swastika tattoos and hitler as his phone screen... read more

Process of elimination points directly at this company for our missing items! We are missing kitchen, bathroom, personal items and a step ladder given to us by our grandad. We contacted them about our items and they said they would look into it and get back to us. After almost 2 weeks I phoned them back they said they found nothing and they would email us a claim form to fill out but we have not received anything. One would think that after all the horrible reviews this so called company would clean up their act but they could care less. No matter how desperate you are to move and how little they SAY they will charge you do not hire Acclaimed Movers! I highly do NOT recommend this company. read more

I have used this company because a dear friend had recommended it. Everything went very well for her, and I trusted her judgement. I still took a peak at Yelp reviews back in March, when my move took place. I saw four stars and many positive reviews! However, now that I am settled in and have been writing reviews for places I enjoy, I was shocked to discover that many positive reviews had mysteriously vanished!!! So I am even more glad to add my own, because I was so well taken care of! Acclaimed made my move easy and smooth. The gentlemen that showed up on time were kind and courteous. I own a lot of white furniture that I had hand-finished and decorated, and I was concerned with its' transportation. However, they took extra care with those pieces and made sure to wrap them very securely and handle them delicately. I also was pleased that their truck was very clean. I am kind of a neat-freak, even my garden items are clean and organized. It was reassuring to be moved by such polite guys, it made it easy for me to speak up and be specific about my preferences. I had moved before with help of friends, and, while I had appreciated their time and energy, having professionals do the move was so effortless, I would never consider moving independently again. Usually it took an entire day, some crankiness and my friends and I being too tired to do any work for days after. This time all it took was a couple of hours and no effort on my part. Oh, yes, I did have to pick up my phone and call! Poor me! Well, I do feel bad they have such weird luck with reviews, but it might work out to our benefit. You are more likely to get them to move you, because, apparently, not everyone knows how great they are! read more

Acclaimed LIARS & THIEVES. Do NOT hire. I looked them up before on Yelp I did but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt because they had good reviews too. That was my FIRST MISTAKE. Those were probably fake, My SECOND MISTAKE was Giving them a second chance after they were a NO CALL NO SHOW on the day they were supposed to move me. The day before a three day holiday weekend when I couldn't reschedule anything else that I needed to do around that move. I fell for Ryan's pleading that it was just an unavoidable mistake that he felt terrible about and that he would make up for on the backend. He promised his grandfather raised a man with honor in him and, being an honorable person myself, I fell for it. Bullshit. He gave me a $50 discount. If they had stuck to their original estimate, which was correct, that would have been at least somewhat acceptable. Instead the move quoted at $460 they charged me $640! $300 more to move one bed, three dressers and 20 boxes 30 minutes away. How? When the movers arrived, (on time), to off load my furniture they informed me that the move-in would take twice as long as they quoted and that I had to pay them an additional fee. The movers REFUSED to move anything off of the truck until I gave them the money in cash. All the time the clock was ticking extending move time as I argued with the dispatcher that it could only take one hour to take to unload that small amount into my place. She assured me that if it only took one hour that they would REFUND the second hour to me. More LIES. After two weeks of repeated requests to have second hour refunded back to me and to have my paperwork sent to me they refused on both counts. I do want to add that the movers did their job. They worked very hard and they worked fast. They only broke a couple of little things. I don't blame the movers, I even tipped them because they work so hard. But the company? WORTHLESS SCAMMERS. They do not deserve your good business. Avoid them at all cost. They are NOT an honorable company. read more

ACCLAIMED MOVERS are totally a SCAM, they give you a good price to move your furniture and then when they come over to load your items they load half of your furniture on their truck, then come in and break the bad news to you, I was told at that time if I didn't like their new price it would cost me $3,000 for them to unload my furniture off their truck, I was quoted at $3,500 and that went up to $7,500 they were also informed by me prior to booking I had 8000 pounds! I had many missing items and stolen watch, I wanted to file a claim and asked them several times to email me their claim form, they never did! LIARS, THEIVES, EXTORTIONISTS Their drivers, even with explicit instructions to take care with a valuable set of like new car racing seats, they carelessly dropped on the pavement while running with it on the dolly, scratching and gouging the whole frame and parts of the leather upholstery. They carelessly threw my personal affects into boxes, breaking a plastic grill piece, throwing my wheels into the truck instead of stacking them, and recklessly overloaded my storage unit's lift, causing several boxes to be crushed. Their drivers lied about their time, forging parts of the contract and billing documents, forcing me to sign them under duress of effetely stealing my property by driving off with it, and used the time I was being billed for to run personal errands getting drinks and food. Re: North HolIywood location: I was quoted an estimate of between 2,900 lbs. and 3,000, and approximately $800-900 dollars for a 1 bedroom apartment of IKEA press-board furniture. I modified an earlier quote of 3,500 lbs. to remove a refrigerator and small IKEA style 2-seat futon from the order. I was told this order would most likely not exceed $1,000. This was the 2nd time I had moved with Acclaimed movers, and I had not purchased any additional appliances, furniture, or in excess of any clothing. I informed Acclaimed Movers of my moving date, and at no time, was an alternate drop-off date noted. My quote was for a moving date of Dec.28th, 2013, and no continuation into Dec. 29th. * Approximately an hour into loading, with numerous boxes and pieces of furniture already loaded on the truck, Second mover informs me they are headed to Los Angeles to do a pick-up bound for San Francisco (LA to SF), and my goods will be delivered on Sunday, Dec. 29th, on the way "back down from San Francisco." I immediately confirmed this with the lead mover. I called Acclaimed Movers, and spoke with Gina. She had no idea what I was talking about, and confirmed this was not part of any quote or estimate she had given me for this move. Had this been the case, I would have either made alternate arrangements to stay in a hotel, moved on the 29th, or gone with another company who could pick-up and deliver in the same day. Gina said she would call me back. I received a call an hour later from someone named Jamie, telling me "special arrangements" have been made to ensure delivery of my goods on Dec. 28th to Bakersfield, CA. Lead mover informed me this has happened before, where it is left to the movers to inform clients on-site after loading has begun, of a "switch," and Lead mover recently lost a client over management's policy, and specifically, Jamie, his supervisor. * I received a call at 4:00pm that my goods were weighed, and my final total was nearly $1,400, minus the $700 I had already given them in the USPS money order, leaving my amount due as $709.00. This was in excess of $600-$700 over what my original quote was, including the extra possible fluctuations I factored in, speaking with Gina, not to exceed $1,000 for a 1 bdr. apartment. I was quoted a weight of 5,500 lbs., which is the average weight of moving a 2 bedroom house, including appliances. I did not have any appliances, and my furniture is IKEA pressed particle board, save for a leather loveseat, and electronics. There is no way my apartment contents weigh 5,500 lbs and can be loaded by 2 men in 3 hours. * I called Jamie to find out how this quote came to be, and was informed only 2 weights were taken, pre-load, and post load. I asked for a photo or a copy of the pre-and post-weights to be e-mailed or texted to me, which was never done. I also asked if the crew had loaded up the "LA to SF" jobs, and was told no, that my goods were the only goods in the truck, and the weight of 5,500 lbs. was all my own to be charged for. Someone else had already completed the paperwork, and sent him on his way. The gross weight amount was altered by hand, and written over by someone else, to arrive at this quote of $1,400 dollars, and 5,500 lbs. * I requested an alternate site of drop off, per the guidelines of the contract for a "Change of Order," which can be requested by the client for an additional fee. I informed Jamie I was going to rent a U-Haul truck, to pre-weigh the vehicle, then transfer all goods into that truck, and do a post-weight, to confirm this amount. Jamie told me the crew was "on-site at my original drop-off location," and they would not meet me at the alternate site, nor agree to the Change of Order. I called Lead mover, the driver, only to learn they are not on-site, and are another 20 or so miles out from the destination. * Jamie called Lead mover, and it was agreed in writing, which I signed, that off-load could take place for the amount of $250.00 "paid in full," in cash, and our business transaction would be completed in good standing. * My boyfriend and I looked in the Acclaimed truck, to see it was loaded full from the back of the truck, to the side cargo doors, which is almost 3/4s of the length of the vehicle. While Lead mover was running his errands, another client's goods were loaded onto the truck, so the pre-weight and post-weight figures of 5,500 lbs. included these other goods. I was being charged for my stuff, and this other client's stuff, headed to San Francisco. I took pictures of the full truck, showing it was heavily weighed down with goods other than mine. Jamie called Lead mover, and forced him to write over and alter the "paid in full" to read "paid in only $250.00," which grammatically makes no sense, and the carbon copy shows again, that writing had been altered and written over again. read more

HORRIBLE COMPANY! STAY AWAY! I had nothing but headaches with this company from the beginning. They were hired for a full pack, ran out of supplies and started using my things (my paper towels, kitchen towels, as well as left over packing paper and boxes of mine from a previous move) to pack my items, though they didn't pack all my valuables (i.e. left fragile items with no padding; surprise, surprise, they broke). My items were stored with the company and delivered later. On delivery (after the truck left), I realized that A DRESSER FILLED COMPLETELY WITH CLOTHES was not delivered! Called the driver who said the truck was empty. Was eventually in touch with Aaron and Jamie who both gave me the run-around. Aaron at first said he would fed-ex me the dresser, then never did. After continuing to contact him, Aaron then said he would at least send me my clothes out of the dresser until they could find out how to get the dresser to me, which he also didn't do (it was promised to me for weeks, but all lies), until eventually my fiance stepped in and called them and they decided to make good on at least sending me my clothes out of the dresser. Then, somehow the story changed and the dresser was now broken and unusable, though both Jamie and Aaron described the specifics of how the dresser was broken differently when I pressed for details. They also lied to me and said that my dresser was broken and that it wasn't covered because it was pressboard, even though my contract clearly states that if the company is hired for a full pack (which they were), all of my items will be covered by them. The company just didn't want to spend the money on figuring out how to get me the rest of my belongings. SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! IF YOU HIRE THEM, YOU'LL BE SORRY!!! read more

Absolutely, completely unprofessional and not trustworthy. Booked for an interstate move. They ran out of packing materials, packed with our linens as padding, forgot many items, didnt pad many fragile pieces, and didn't ship everything to the destination. The numerous bad reviews already on here should be warning enough, but if not, please take my advice to stay away from this company! read more

OMG This could be the worst moving company in the world! They are scammers and extort you to pay higher than your NOT TO EXCEED $ amount they give you. I had this company come out and give me a price. They called me to match another companies price and I went with them. They had a nice brochure and pictures included their trucks and guys in nice shirts. They showed up 1 hour late. One less man than I needed. They had two old budget trucks that were not big enough for the job. They had worn out tee's with there screen print logo They threw my hanging stuff in wardrobe boxes without the metal piece ,my gowns and good things were crumbled up a mess to re- hang. The boxes were marked on the outside for which room and most of the items ended in the garage. What a mess. It adds hours to unpacking!!!! My sons bedroom set is all scratched up beyond repair - holes in the wood!!!! Whe read more

WOW DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!! I was told that if I changed my long distance move to a local move that the rates would change (be lower) and I would get a refund on what I paid them for pick-up ( i paid 2100) I intentionally did not move across the country because I did not think I could afford it. When they delivered my things they told me they would not be giving me money back and I had to pay more for the delivery. Delivery was 700.. meaning pickup should not have been much more. They basically owe me 1000 and I will prob be DEAD before I see it. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I can't even believe after calling them literally everyday for almost 6 months to prepare this happened. I will never trust moving companyies again. Never Been More DISGUSTED ~Lauren read more

I used this company for a long distance move and found Acclaimed Movers to be the most unprofessional and dishonest company I've ever encountered. They do not honor binding estimates. They will not put customers through to supervisors. They will say anything they need to get your business and then, once they have your belongings, they will not honor their word. You either pay them what is basically a ransom for your belongings or they will not give your belongings back to you. They also bash customers who complain about them on the internet, so beware. You may find your name being thrown around on the web if you make them mad. Either let them rob you, or they will slander you, as well as rob you. Run, run, run from this company. Also, beware of their "inventory list". They mark all of your belongings as "damaged and worn" so they won't have to be responsible for damage they cause. They marked a brand new chair as "very worn and scratched". Unbelievable. And my belongings arrived as if they'd been through a war zone. read more

So it's been a few months and Olga from Acclaimed personally got back to me. I was going to move my stuff out of their storage when she asked what can we do to keep your business? She explained that summertime is their busiest time and I was caught up in their most hectic week of moving. She was able to work with me on what I needed in order to stay and was more than fair in working with me. She was very open to listening to what I needed and now I am satisfied with staying there. I feel my belongings are very safe and they even opened the vaults so I can see how carefully they were packed. I'm keeping my things there until June so i am happy I will not have to find another location for storage. Thanks Olga! read more

I had a horrible experience with this company. Everything about them has been completely unethical. They still have not refunded my money after overcharging me for my move, and it has been over three weeks. Still waiting to hear back from them. They claim that their GPS monitors their workers, and that they worked for 8 hours on the day of my move. I know this is a lie, since I looked at the clock when they arrived and left that day, and the company refuses to send me any type of document that shows the number of hours that the movers worked. A little strange, no? read more

This company is everything people are saying when it comes to lies and scams. I recently relocated my family and in moving I found many items to be missing from a previous move where we had this company involved. Anything this company could steal without possible notice at the time they stole, bookcases, child things, toys, suitcases, baby/infant supplies, and not to mention did 4k worth of damage to valuable dishes and household items. They DO not care about you or respect your life and your belongings. Save yourself money, tears and years of stress and find another company, anything and anyone would be better than this company filled with LIARS and thieves. read more

Worst experience ever. Cannot understand why they have earned two positive ratings. Totally agree with the users who had negative experience with them. I booked a move from AZ to CA 3(!) months in advance until they called me the day before(!) to tell me they cannot do it unless I pay double the price. Total scum and rip-off. Do not book with them ever. Would not even recommend them to my worst enemy. And the best thing is that they give you attitude when you complain that they treat you unfair. At the end, I rented a truck from u-haul and some workers from there to help me move my stuff. Saved me a couple of hundred bucks and a lot of nerves dealing with this blackmailing BS! One star rating is even too much for them. read more

THEY STOLE FROM ME!!! From the beginning things were a mess. They quoted me one price then charged me twice as much. My husband showed up at the storage we had to help them load up and try and make things as smooth as possible. He even bought the guys lunch. Well one week later we received our things and everything seemed good. Granted this was a three bedroom house so it took me a while to get unpacked. In the process I came across a plastic bin that had our PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 inside plus all games and accessories. Well when I opened it I realized only the PS3 stuff was there. Everything for the PS 4 was gone. Well it's been 6 months of claims, phone calls and emails. I have had to file a police report and jump through a bunch of hoops. The estimated loss was $800. In the end they offered me $21.00 because they pay by the pound not value. I CANT BELIEVE THEY ARE STILL IN BUSINESS. Beware read more

If I could give this company a negative 5 stars I would. I booked a long distant move (LA to NYC) with them in June of 2009. I cancelled my move with them because they informed me of a $600 quote increase 5 days before my move, though I had been asking for a confirmed price for almost 2 months prior. Now 11 months later and they still have not refunded my $100 deposit as promised despite my many requests. The man who answers the phone has ignored my numerous requests and is horrible at customer service. read more

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. My roommate and I were on a terrible crunch to get out of our apartment, we hired these movers to come between the hours of 1-3pm because we needed to be out of apartment that night. Not only did the movers not show up for our scheduled time, they did not call to cancel. We called the company, who put us on hold, and then never called us back. We went with another company (Alliance) and they were superb! So fast, so efficient and very carful with all our belongings. I've never felt more disregarded by a company, I am still livid. read more

I paid more because I wanted more in my service. The initial consult and communication with the company was fabulous, they were prompt and courteous. The most important part of the whole process is the move though and by the end of the day when I had already been asked to go and buy burgers for everyone (at my expense) and then to find out that 3 items had been broken but I hadn't been told by anyone, another set of my daughters drawers were dropped (the facade damaged and two of the drawers broken) and my husbands bike frame had been bent by the way it was packed - i was happy to get them out of my house. Every day I go to my daughters drawers, I am reminded that my things were not looked after with the care and respect they deserved or that I paid for. No one from the company followed me up and the gentlemen did not apologise for any of the damage. I could have spent less with a cheaper company and received the same service. I was not happy with this service. read more

My parents were moving from their 4 bedroom home in Pasadena to a 3 bedroom home in Valley Village. Now my parents are wonderful at everything but they are big time hoarders. Not to a point where everything is all over the place and there's no room to walk but 2 of the bedrooms were full of useless items. I was very excited about their move because I have a very hectic schedule and I'm always traveling so I don't get to see them as often. I decided I would help them with their move. This way we could spend more time together. 3 of my siblings have moved to other cities with a minimum of 4 hour drive time so I felt obligated to do this since I am the only one close to home. For a few months I began researching and reaching out to a few moving companies for quotes. There were a lot of companies I felt safe with but for some reason Acclaimed stole my heart loll. They were the most professional and their rates were just perfect. You can't go with a company who charges too low because you can't ensure you'll get the best price and you can't go with a company too high because you'll be broke after the move. Acclaimed was borderline with the price and it was just right. When I first called I believe I spoke to Mike, he was very patient, understanding and answered all of my questions. Anytime a call representative answers all of my 101 questions I feel connected and feel as if I can put more trust in them. He was very honest and there were no hidden fees what so ever. I had purchased a Yelp deal and since I was a member of Angie's List they gave me an additional discount. I didn't book my move just yet because I wanted to call a few other companies to make sure I was dealing with the best. Also, there was still a month left until the move so I felt like I had more than enough time to call and book them when needed. The last month I began helping my parents pack and get rid of all their "precious" junk that had gathered in the 2 empty bedrooms. There was a week till my parents lease was up so I decided to call Acclaimed. I called and was transferred to Mike. Even though a couple weeks had passed he still remembered me and my situation with my parent's items. I had asked for a few storage units to hold my parents items until they decided what to do with them. Mike told me not to purchase anything and we would decide the day of the move as to exactly how many storage units I needed. I guessed approximately 5 or 6. The day of the move I received a call and was told that the movers should be there between 8-9 am. They arrived between that time slot (can't remember exactly when) The movers were very polite and immediately got to work. I let them know that the items in the 2 bedrooms were to be transferred to storage if possible so they did just that. There were a few items that I hadn't packed up in the living room because I wasn't sure of how to pack them correctly. The boys helped me pack up the few items and I was amazed at how neat and organized they were. They did a very fast job for all the items we had, including the ones that had to go to storage. Very rarely do I leave reviews for these types of companies but I had to give them 5 stars. read more

I added this company again because I'm not sure if the conflicting addresses had something to do with such horrible reviews it had gotten. If you Google "Acclaimed Movers" other places reviewed them well. I had to start another Yelp for them because of how great of an experience we have had with them. Moving is never fun and not always is it a happy time. Acclaimed movers called us shortly before they arrived to let us know they were near by which was a great start. They arrived on time as well. When two of them arrived they were very nice, introduced themselves and went through our apartment to make sure they moved the correct items. They started quickly yet carefully moving things down to the truck (which was PLENTY big). We lived on the second story, which they did NOT charge for the 16 stairs they had to haul heavy furniture down. We helped them move boxes downstairs however, due to company policy we were not allowed to put items in the truck which was more than okay and understandable. Never did they complain or lag to attempt to buy more time. Even when one of their cell phones went off, the mover took the call but told the caller he was busy and would talk later. The other mover got a text message but did not answer it. They were quick, careful and efficient. As far as the move goes, my moms pride and joy hutch they wrapped better then we she received it. They took such great care with everything, but were fast workers. They were friendly and upbeat for moving so many items down so many stairs. They must have been Tetris champions because they packed everything perfectly and safely. The movers moved everything into a storage about 25 minutes away and with only two guys, they unloaded everything so quickly! We had gotten two 8'x10' storage units but the movers said they thought we may only need one. Sure enough, everything was packed by them so perfectly and neatly that we only needed one storage. They didn't just pack stuff in and put fragile items under heavy items they actually had thought into unloading. The move took a little longer than expected but their estimate was pretty close as far as time and money. It was understandable for the price being more because of the time and also because we didn't have a proper box to move my mothers prized hutch. They didn't pressure us to buy things we didn't need but still mentioned things. For example, we had a big mirror to move and they suggested to make sure it was safe since it was so big we could get a box for it. Since the mirror was cheap we opted out which they didn't fight, and didn't pressure us into something else. So the cost was a little more than the estimate but it was for legitimate reasons. It took a little longer and we wanted to take extra caution in moving the hutch. For the life of me, I cannot remember one of the movers names (I am horrible with names) but one of them was named Gus. Both were awesome, courteous and hard workers. So Gus, you were awesome and the other gentleman with the shaved head and gray Acclaimed Movers shirt, you were fantastic too. Thank you both, and thank you Acclaimed Movers!!!!! read more

THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!!! THEY WILL MAKE YOUR LIFE A LIVING HELL!!!! I hired them to move my stuff in my apartment from Los Angeles to NY. They Lost the headboard to my bed which was very expensive and I could no longer use the bead because everything linked to the headboard. First of all the price they give you on the phone is a total sham. Its not that price when the shady movers arrive they will throw wild numbers at you and you basically have no choice or they leave your stuff there. So you get screwed on the price. They are also incredible rude. Then once your stuff is shipped its really not even the same company that is handling your stuff anymore. They hand it off to another company who is even more rude and even more incompetent. The people that dropped my stuff off didnt care that my headboard wasnt there they told me i had to call customer service that they were just hired to drop the stuff off and wasnt their issue. They were in a rush to leave and basically left my stuff all over the place without my headboard and left. They were supposed to put my bed together but obviously couldnt. I called customer service placed a complaint they told me they needed 60 days to investigate. After sixty days I obviusly had to buy a new bed and they sent me a settlement letter for GET THIS $50!!!!!!! My bed cost $3250!!!! and they offered me $50. This company seems to get away with a lot of stuff and they literally put me through hell I had to sleep on the floor for weeks before my new bed arrived My old bed is no longer usuable, they made me wait 60 days then offered me fifty dollars. They emailed me back today telling me they were gonna pay me $100. The bottom line is this for the sake of your wallet and sanity DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I have filed a complaint with the attorney generals office of california and the better business bureau and will be having my attorney file a formal complaint in court tis week. They seem to be getting away with a lot of stuff but they finally ripped off the wrong person. I will go after this matter and make sure they dont do this to anyone else because i truly went through hell. STAY AWAT read more

Great job gentlemen, I can say this was a very smooth process for me. I found myself in bit of a rush and panic to find a a moving company in the knick of time since everything about my move was sprung on me. The big F bomb foreclosure hit me hard and I wasn't really sure what to do but I started digging on the online community that is my favorite tarot forum and I asked some people who had mentioned moving in their forum postings in the past and were in my area and I got two seperate suggestions that I go with this company. That was enough for me, so I went ahead and called the number I found on the search I did and was greeted by a lovely voiced call person named Tina. I was happy to see that Tina was never caught of guard by the various questions that I had and the entire exchange coupled with a cup of tea made me feel quite a bit of ease. The day came for the move and I was prepared having packed half my stuff and proceeded to move the boxes in the direction of the exit. The other half of my stuff I was assured by Tina I would be aided with and that the movers would bring all the neccessary packing materials and more boxes as I had ran out at that point. I greeted them in the front yard and was happy to see they did in fact show up with all the right stuff and more than enough boxes. I was told ahead of time that this would cost me but I didn't mind as there really isn't any price you can put on comfort and peace of mind. The whole process was relatively quick actually, I thought it would be longer, it took about an hour and a half and my guess beforehand was that it was take something like 4. I ended up paying a price that me happy that I didn't do things myself and also that I saved money. The whole experience was a treat and I will likely do it again the next time I move as I suspect I will have even less items and in this case I can just sit back like a queen bee and enjoy myself while my things are whisked away read more

I travel a lot, and I have went through many moving companies. However, this is the first time I feel like I have to leave a review for a moving company because they did such an amazing job. Usually, when it comes time to moving, I get this stressful feeling, because we all know that the moving process is a very long and stressful one. And on top of that, most moving companies are very sketchy and problematic. It was the exact opposite with Acclaimed. I spoke to one of their sales representatives, I believe her name was Samantha. She was very polite and informative. We clicked right away as we went through my inventory of stuff I had to move. She gave me a detailed and binding quote. I love how this company gives binding quotes, so that the price doesn't change to a higher one when you book (had that problem before). I ended going with three movers because I had 2 fully furnished bedrooms that needed to be move, and I wanted the job to be done quick. On the day of the move, Danny and his team arrived to my location. They were very professional with uniforms and name badges. They all spoke perfect English and were very experienced in moving. I love seeing professionalism in a company. The movers kept to themselves for the most part after I showed them what needed to be move. They were very quick and efficient and most importantly they were very careful with my belongings. They packed and loaded the truck with a damaging a single item. Not even a scratch! That made me really happy. Of course I gave the movers a good tip because they deserved it. Overall, this company deserves all this gratitude. They really are elite movers and I have not one thing to complain about. No hidden charges or fees at the end of the move. I got charged exactly what was promised. If I ever need to move again (hopefully I don't) I will move with Acclaimed Movers. read more

Let me start by saying we move A LOT. I've used almost all the big and small companies. Seriously...we move A LOT. I choose to use this company even though I saw lots of bad reviews. I know how yelp works, as a business owner myself, I know yelp chooses to put up certain reviews depending on the companies 'relationship' with yelp. ($$) So I gave this company a chance, because of all the companies I spoke with they were actually the only professional place. I was told in advance about all of the potential additional charges, which no other company did. We were asked how much packing we would do in advance so they could determine how much packing material we'd need and to estimate how much time we'd need. Why??? Because during our last moves these items weren't figured which caused issues etc... Here's how it went: had and estimate and PRE-advise on packing and prep. I was emailed videos in advance as well. (Very helpful!) Movers arrived and I didn't have as much done as previously thought. They let me know it would take longer... More $. It happens, I know cause its happened to me before, however, this time I was pleasantly surprised with the honesty up front! Next, the move continues and a few more unexpected things pop up. This crew helped us throughout them all. I can honestly say they acted like WE WERE ALL A TEAM and they cared about our move. Unlike the many previous moves we've had. Put some of our belongings in storage and have had to go to search for a beloved box of my husbands. Again, super helpful crew and professional staff. Shock! This was truly a good experience. Truly. I have recommended this co. To a coworker and she had a similar experience. I suggest calling them and speaking to them before making a choice regarding your next move. GOOD LUCK! read more

I found Acclaimed Movers on Google and hired 6 movers for a long distance move from Malibu to Chicago. The move took three days in total to finish. The movers came early in the morning and on time all three of the days and were always ready to work with no sign of exhaustion. I spent most of the time in my office while they were doing the move, and every once in a while I would come check up on them. Every time I came out they managed to have packed and loaded so much of the stuff into their trucks and storage vaults. They really work quick and efficiently, which was very important to me because time was of the essence for this move. After they finished the move, and put some of my stuff in storage, they did a final walk around my house to make sure they weren't leaving anything behind. This gave me a sign of reassurance and safety that all my stuff was going to be delivered without any problems. It's been 2 weeks since my move, and all my stuff did get delivered, and not one single item was damaged during the move. They packed all my stuff with care. Especially when it came to the fragiles, like dishes and glasses. They packed each glass individually with wrapping paper and bubble wrap. It was a lot of stuff to unpack, but it was worth it knowing all my stuff got to Chicago safely. Acclaimed Movers are very professional and hard working. I can't imagine any customer giving this company less than 5 stars for any reason. They deserve all the credit. read more

I've learned the hard way that in the moving industry, you get what you pay for. To keep a long story short, I've moved around the United States, traveling to different universities for my studies. I always used a moving company to help me with my moves. The last 4 times I moved, I shopped around for the cheapest moving company with the lowest rates, and I always ended with a bad story. The service was horrible, and they ended up overcharging me at the end. So this time I decided to go with a more professional moving company without worrying too much on spending a little more. A good friend of mine recommended me Acclaimed Movers. I did my research, and rest assured I discovered that Acclaimed is an A on the BBB and is licensed with good customer reviews. Yes, it did cost me a little more than other companies, but after how the other companies overcharged me, I actually saved money with Acclaimed. This move that I had was from San Diego, CA to Chicago, Illinois. Acclaimed told me that they specialize in long distance moving and that they will guarantee a safe move. And that's exactly what they did. This company doesn't deserve anything under 5 stars. Spending that extra hundred bucks is really worth the stress and agony when moving with low class moving companies that are not even licensed. I will always move with Acclaimed from now. I highly recommend! read more

I have had terrible experiences with moving companies breaking and losing my things. I had already booked with Acclaimed before I saw their reviews. I had called to cancel my move but they had reassured me that my belongings were in good hands. I read through the nasty reviews and thought for sure my stuff was going to be broken and tampered with. But well was I wrong. Let's begin with the day before the move. Gina had called me to confirm my move and was very nice about everything. I told her that if anything went wrong I would be very upset with them. She told me I had nothing to worry about so I settled for Acclaimed. The afternoon of the move was blistering hot so I worried about the guys moving my stuff. I brought out a couple waters and waited for them to arrive. They arrived right on time and were all properly uniformed. I had told them that I wanted everything to be quickly and efficiently. They said they would not lag and began to work. I have a two bedroom house, or had for that matter, and I thought they would take all day. They only took four hours! They handled my stuff carefully and packed everything perfectly. The whole move turned out to be cheaper than any other moving company I have used charged me before! 5 stars is worthy for Acclaimed Movers, perfect move and I will definitely use them again! read more

When I first contacted acclaimed movers,I felt satisfied with the things they mentioned regarding my move.I don't move alot because its stressful and really painful for me.I requested a visual estimate to see around how much everything will cost me and what made me really happy was the Guy who did my estimate was very polite and very respectful. Not only did the Guy drive out of his way to estimate my belongs, but mentioned several times that I choose the right moving company to relocate myself. On the day of my move,I was a little stressed. When the movers got to my place.they respected me and my belongs in a very professional way.the guys packed all my stuff found things I forgot I had from years ago.the guys were very careful and work at a very great paste.when we got to my new place. I asked the movers if they could be extra careful because the walls were freshly painted.yeah, the bill come way higher then what the Guy estimated me but that is why they call them estimates.but besides that everything else was great and the movers made my move from San Diego to camarillo a great and wonderful experience for me and I didn't even move anything and those guys do it on a daily bases. So I thank God to acclaimed movers and everything they did for me thanks again acclaimed. read more

Ever since my last move (which as a pain in the behind), I decided to move with a professional moving company. Moving by yourself just takes too long and can be challenging with some of the heavy items. This time I moved from my condo in North Hollywood to a new apartment in La Crescenta. I used Acclaimed Movers because a good friend of mine recommended them to me. I called them and spoke to a young gentleman, (I think Mike was his name). He explained to me in detail how the moving process works. He gave me an estimate on my move. It was a little more expensive than I thought it would be, but he ensured me that moving with professionals would be the best decision I can make. So I agreed with his advice and booked the move. I went with three men and a truck. This including packing, dissembling, loading, delivery and unloading. The three men were great. They packed all my stuff and loaded it in the truck very quickly. The entire move took 5 hours. I expected it to take all day. It was a pleasant feeling when I moved into my new house before the sunset. I didn't get charged anything extra and was overall very satisfied with move. I definitely agree when they say moving with professionals will save you a lot of time and headaches. read more

This is my second time moving with Acclaimed Movers, and both times I had a consistent pleasant experience. The only difference was that this time I got a cheaper rate because I am a repeat customer. I really like how the sales people take care of all their customers and are really loyal and fair. I got lucky and ended speaking to the same Sales Rep. I did on my first move. She recognized my name and remembered giving me the quote for my other move. She was just as polite as last time and seemed happy to speak to me again. She gave me a reduced rate and gave me a binding quote. The movers were great just like last time. Very professional and quick at the job. I didn't have any problems with the job. No broken items, no overcharging. I always hear these problems with other moving companies. But people don't realize that you get what you pay for. I checked Acclaimed Movers' background, and they have an A+ on the BBB and 5 star reviews all around the internet. I'm really surprised that their Yelp is so low. But i hear that Yelp has a filtration problem they are working on as well. But don't let that fool you. Acclaimed is the superior moving company and they will guarantee you a successful move just like they did to me twice! read more

I used Acclaimed Movers and Storage to move me and a good friend into our new apartment over in Burbank. It was the first time using a moving company for both of us so we really didnt know what to expect... although we had heard our fair share of stories about holes in walls, missing items, crazy bills and drunk workers sneeking beers. So we did a good amount of shopping before coming to Acclaimed. The British man I talked to on the phone was sooo charming and came over to our houses and told us how long the move would take and what we would need. After talking it over we decided to trust him. And to our overwhelming relief not only did everything go smoothly as possible but they finished in less time then estimated. The actual movers were a veryy nice bunch of guys. They were very professional with their introduction but after we talked to them a little they opened up and joked around with us. Im sure they were having a blast being around four young pretty girls all day lol. But despite how chatty everyone was being they never stopped working. I have no clue how other moving companies do business but I can tell you that these guys at Acclaimed Movers that did my move were just absolutely great. read more

It had been nearly 14 years since our last move and of course there is always more to do than expected. Since we were moving a further distance we decided to look for a company that could provide us with good service at a fair price. I have been so busy trying to get everything else organized that it was such a relief to have a dependable professionals help! It made this whole transition so much smoother. I usually do not write reviews but I wanted to be sure to share my experience. From the first phone call I made they were pleasant and accomodating. The movers arrived on time, were friendly and carefully explained the process to us. Whenever moving it seems inevitable that something gets broken, damaged, or misplaced...Not this time!!! The movers offered professional advice about packing materials for some of my valuable pieces but with no pressure at all. I can't tell you how pleased I am with the whole experience!! I am in my new home and still can't believe how smooth this whole move was. I would definately recommend and use Acclaimed Movers again!!! Thank you Acclaimed for all your hard work and carefull attention to details! read more

Acclaimed are excellent. Reliable and consistent. I'm constantly moving from NY to CA and back again. I moved with these guys twice now and both times the move went very smoothly. They pack everything really well and nothing was damaged on either move. I been extremely happy with their service both times and I'll recommend them to my family and friends. From planning and coordinating our long-distance move, to the pick-up and drop-off, all went as smoothly as one could hope for. The Owner, Office Manager and movers were courteous, prompt and consistently communicated with us throughout the process. Our boxes and furniture were in good condition upon their arrival after being stored with Acclaimed, excluding our electric piano which had some loose screws. Although we didn't pay for the additional insurance, one of the movers kindly brought out his tools and fixed the piano stand like new. I would highly recommend using them if you're seeking to work with a company with a professional staff, that offers a competitive price, and employs movers that treat your possessions with care. read more

i was very happy with the my move. as beening a mother of 5 kids and 4 of them being under the age of 6, moving or anything else is not easy. i have been dreading this move, however acclaimed movers were very respectful and handle all the hard work i just directed them where i wanted my things and they took care of it. the moving guys were very nice and made me feel like i could relax during this stressful time. the lead guy walked me thought the contract making sure i knew and understood what was going on. all the guys on the crew were very Curtis and professional. at the end of the day when my belongs were moved in to my new house they looked the same way they left my old house. after seeing all the bad reviews I'm shocked cause my experience was great and i would recommend this company to others. Ive moved in the past with other company and done moves on my own and every time there was always something going wrong. this is the first time that Ive moved and everything went smooth. if i happen to move again (but i really hope i don't lol) i would be using this company again. read more

What darlingssss work at the offices as staff, they helped me with a home that I have been living in 15 years! -Thoughts on customer service- I called the office and was asked how I can be helped in moving, I said my goodness what I'm about to tell you may be to big a job for you folks but they said to me not to worry because they can do anything. Professional sounding girl on the phone helped me with understanding how this sort of thing plays out. -Day of the move- Well the day of the move, the movers showed up in a very clean truck and dressed quite well for movers, I was expecting the sort of people I see outside of the home depot but that was not the case. No no. -My new home- They came to my new house with the truck and unloaded all of my stuff without harming anything and I was very pleased. Now I am living in my new house with all of my things that I have been collecting for years and I'm thankful that I found such a company to handle my things like I would have handled them myself if I could move all of them over. read more

I moved with Acclaimed Movers last week and I just wanted to share my experience with my fellow Yelpers. If you need a simple move with no problems or headaches, I found them! This moving company is very simple and knows exactly what they're doing when it comes to moving. No confusing contracts or charges or anything like that. You call Acclaimed, they give you a quote, you book a date, the movers come, pack and load the truck, move, and unload. It really is moving made easy. I've had some bad experiences with other moving companies, always trying to over charge me with something, and being late or not coming at all on the day of the moves. Not with this company. They were professional through out the whole moving process. They were on time on everything and answered all my phone calls when ever i called. They made sure that I didn't worry at all on this move. Very fair price and such experienced and professional movers. I'm so glad I finally found the moving company that does exactly what it's supposed to do. read more

Acclaimed Movers helped move me from Granada Hills to my new apartment in Sherman Oaks. They were just fantastic in every sense of the word. Ive used a few other companies in the past that just put me through hell, so this time I just wanted the best I did not care about price at all. The lady in the office was so sweet and made me feel like I had really chose the right company. I did all of my packing, (ive been screwed over in the past from not packing everything myself) as to cut some time off of the move. The Acclaimed crew were on time and all very friendly looking and all spoke English, HUGE plus. They didnt milk my job in the least bit and we were out and on the road to Sherman Oaks in what felt like just moments after they started. The unload was just as quick. Of course I tipped and fed them because of their hard work. A great company that I will use again. OH! and I have a huuuge crush on the guy that was my foreman Garrett, ask for him on your crew, trust me! ; ) read more

Very nice, prompt and professional! I urgently needed to find Movers on a Sunday late afternoon. Needless to say, most moving companies were closed, didn't answer their phones and told me to call tomorrow. I called "Acclaimed Movers and Storage" (do not confuse with "Acclaimed Movers" - it's a different company), as my last resort and surprisingly, they said "We will be there in 30 min!".. To me, this was how every business should operate! The young man who answered the phone was very pleasant as well as the two men who came to move my furniture. Earlier I asked them to bring some tools with them to take my bed apart; they did take it apart, wrapped it in their own protective blankets, along with the rest of my furniture and beddings, moved it all to the end location and put everything back the way it was originally.. I was extremely satisfied with their service from A to Z. The price was not bad either, $75 per hour (3 hrs minimum). Would definitely use them again! ;-))) read more
