My frustration is, she did nothing to try and make it work. She referred me to someone who wanted to charge me 50 percent more for the same tow. As a small business owner, you should definitely do a better job with customers. But it was a rental car, and I immediately discovered there was no spare tire -- just a device to inject fix-a-flat goo and compressed air into the flat. I'd never seen such a device before, so I walked over to Plunske's and asked for their advice. The first person I spoke to dropped what he was doing to help me figure out how to use the gizmo. I returned to my car, reinflated the tire, and drove it to Plunske's. There I encountered a second employee -- Dan, I think -- who was just as friendly and even more helpful. He removed the tire, carefully checked it visually for holes or leaks, immersed it in water to look for bubbles (and found none), replaced it on the car, made sure it was properly reinflated, and sent me on my way. The whole process with Dan took about 30-40 minutes, and he couldn't have been nicer or more thorough. I'm very grateful for the assistance of both people who helped me at Plunske's.

From the moment I walked in the door I had felt nothing but like a family member. They were straight forward and no bullshit from the start. Got into an accident during a snowstorm (I am okay, thank you!) and needed to have my car towed…read more The Windsor PD called for the tow truck and I have to say I had a really positive experience. The individual who towed my car was very nice and concerned for my safety. It was actively snowing outside and he ensured I got home safely and didn't stand outside in the cold. When my insurance adjustor called the following day to review the estimate on my car, he informed me that my car was being kept indoors and not outside in the snow. The adjustor had gone to other lots in the same day where he had to unearth vehicles from under the snow. While this was my first (And hopefully, only) experience with Mike's, the adjustor told me that anytime he goes to look at a car in their lot, he is impressed with their kindness, promptness and overall care. I spoke with them today when I had to arrange for my car to be towed to a collision center and then person I spoke with was also very friendly and took care of things quickly. Getting into an accident is an inherently crappy situation but it's nice to know there are people out there who can extend grace and kindness during a difficult time!
