Never Again - Rude Employees!…read more We left this place feeling as if the employees were trying to make it so we never want to come back. Tonight we came in and while we were in the middle of ordering our food another employee answered the phone and was taking another order talking over us at the same time we were placing our order. That was the first rude interaction. We ordered a salad, small pizza and two orders of breadsticks. Instead of the food coming out together it came out at four different times. I understand the salad coming out first but the pizza and breadsticks could have come out altogether. Instead we had an additional four interactions with multiple employees none of which could muster a pleasant word to us or even a smile. All four times we received our food with no smile, no politeness whatsoever - very cold and seemingly very put off that they had to bring our food to us. It really felt as if they hated their job and were taking it out on us. We tried calling the restaurant after leaving multiple times and the phone was busy for nearly an hour. We finally got through and spoke with the new owner (son of the former owner) - our words seemingly went in one ear and out the other. They no longer have metal silverware They no longer have a soda machine They no longer have cold water They no longer have manners They no longer have our business We have been coming here for years - decades even. I wish I could say this is the first time we have had rude service - it is not but it will be the last time.

This is the best food I've had traveling around in Montana. It's a little pricier than the other…read moreplaces, but it's worth every penny you spend. I ordered their grapefruit dirty martini. It would normally have grapefruit vodka in it, but I'm not a fan of vodka or any of its flavoring. The kind bartender substituted the alcohol to gin with a splash of grapefruit at no extra charge. I believe the bartender is the owner as it seemed to be a one man show. The same guy was our server, a bus boy, bartender, and our host! He was probably the cook too! Talk about wearing many hats! I ordered the golden and red beets with goat cheese for $12 and this came to the table looking like a colorful masterpiece. Every bite was delicious. The huckleberry creme brûlée was great! The huckleberries are hiding at the bottom of the ramiken. I'm a tourist and was on a mission to eat everything huckleberry and this dessert did not disappoint! It's a must try! My boyfriend ordered the wild mushroom crepe $16 which was roasted wild mushrooms, prosciutto and swiss cheese with mornay sauce. I thought the crepe was a little undercooked, but he absolutely loved it. I also thought it was a bit salty for my taste, but the mushrooms were tasty! I ordered the $16 grilled salmon and andouille sausage over spinach with tomatoes, fresh orange and red onion. I never heard of these two proteins together, but they make a dynamic duo! I'd like to say it's a warm salad and it was so good! The charred salmon was the star of this dish!
