But the cabinets themselves were in perfect condition since we upgraded them to birch instead of oak during construction. I had been researching getting just new doors and after many quotes it seemed impossible. Many of the companies that quoted us told us that we needed a full remodel which would be in the $50k range. Finally I found Custom Wood Cabinet Refacing and connected with Ray Liston. He asked me for pictures and after setting an appointment he came out with some door samples. The doors were exceptionally well made. We chose the honey maple with glazing to get a 2 dimensional effect with the existing birch cabinets. I ordered the cabinets in April and installation day was June 16th. Prior to that Ray came back with a sample door to make sure I was happy. Then I had the task of finding new knobs and handles which I decided to play up the stainless trim on my appliances and my stove. On installation day some drawer fronts were missing but Jack quickly acted on this and completed the job...less than one week later. To say that we are happy is an understatement. It has given our kitchen the facelift it needed and with the lighting and granite countertops we installed this year you can now see the beauty of the kitchen!! Run to this company and save yourself money!!! If you have imagination and want to give your kitchen a facelift at a fraction of what a new kitchen costs you have found the right company.
