I was very disappointed when my wife brought home a D'Angelo's sub last night 3/31/25 for my supper and I was expecting a gorgeous sandwich full of nice slices of turkey meat and cheese and pickles, onions and tomatoes. Well, That's not what I got and it was one of the worst looking sandwiches with broken pieces of turkey meat and cheese and a few strands of onion and NO tomatoes. I told my wife to give D'Angelo's a call to let them know that I was truly not happy with food like that and to my surprise the manager made good by giving us another order for free anytime that we wanted to pick it up. When I walked into the restaurant, I was greeted with a cheerful "hello" and a warm smile. I am very particular about my sandwiches. I made an online order with several customizations and Gail made me the most perfect sandwich I've ever had! When I called to thank her, she told me that she made it the way she would have wanted it made for herself. That meant so much to me! We should all treat others the way we'd want them to treat us. It's one of the hottest days of the year and I know Dangelos doesn't have iced fountain soda so I brought in my own cup with a little ice in it. I ordered my sandwich (delicious!) and the women working today offered me some extra ice for my cup! I am diabetic and need my drink really cold to feel good when it's hot out, they saved my day and I enjoyed eating my sandwich with a cold drink in the cool AC. Thanks Dangelos! Hi There! I grew up in Brockton. Moved to California and came to hometown and thought "Ouuuu, i haven't had a sub in Eons....D'Angelo!!!". So, drove to Pleasant st location in Brockton and There was a lovely lady with Impeccable Customer Service named Jaime. She was so thorough, engaging and Super Pleasant (no pun intended). Shortly after he co-worker Gail Gracefully interjected and added MORE positive Vibes to the current bonding moment whilst awaiting my sub to be lovingly put together. As i was enjoying my interactions with the 2 ladies ANOTHER lovely young lady by the name os Shante (forgive the botch spelling?) Harmoniously chimed in with Her AIr of Light and Charm. All in all, when so much positivity is flowing through out your encounter one has chosen to invest into....it was only a FACT that the Food ofcourse was going to turn out Amazingly Delicious. I wish you could give 50 stars because WOW have they earned it!! This one on Pleasant St is my absolute favorite one to go to. I have my usual order pre-saved to my phone number and get the same thing every time; 1lb Steak and cheese with extra cheese x 3. It's been made by different staff members here each time I get it, but they ALL do it right! Like when I say extra cheese x 3, I'm talking an unholy amount of cheese. Not once have they failed. D'Angelo's has always been a decent go-to place for a sandwich in the Boston market. Been around for ages (although recently they reinvented themselves as "D'Angelo Grilled Sandwiches") but it's still the same place. Long time Bostonians are familiar with them...know what they're getting, and can count on consistent quality. Today I ordered the chicken stir-fry in a "pokket". While it was tasty, in the end it also ended up being pretty greasy. I understand that they need to use oil when they grill the vegetables otherwise they'll stick. But between the oil used in the cooking process and the oil from the melted cheese, the pokket eventually left me grabbing for multiple napkins with oil clicked hands. The sandwich featured a good serving of white meat chicken breast, diced...and combined with stir-fried mushrooms, onions, and greed and red peppers. After veggies have been stir-fried, it's hard to determine their freshness...but they seemed fresh enough. The "pokket" was okay. It wasn't stale, nor did it scream "fresh baked goodness". It actually reminded me of standard syrian bread that came in a plastic tray wrapped in orange wrapping when I was a kid in the 80's. Service was okay. I was greeted right away and my order taken promptly. However, it did take about 10 minutes for my sandwich to be prepared. Which is fine...I understand it's made to order. However, when two people who ordered after me received their steak bombs before I received my chicken stir-fry, that was a little puzzling...but whatever. As I began, it's a decent go-to place for a sandwich where you pretty much know what you're going to get. It doesn't scream "oh you gotta try this place" nor does it say "stay away at all costs". Just went to D'Angelos in Brockton. The cashier barely said hello. She didn't take the time to explain the specifics of my order to the person preparing the sandwiches. Except for the grill cook, the cashier and sandwich maker wore their masks below their noses. The sandwich maker was apparently aggravated and threw away (wasted) bread as she wasn't making the sandwiches correctly but had time to be checking her phone and texting. Very unprofessional. I am a fan of the meatball sub at D'Angelo's! I used to go to Quizno's for my meatball sub needs but they DISCONTINUED that type of sub (are they crazy? That's a staple sub.) so I have been going to D'Angelo's and loving their subs. This D'angelo's in particular is nice because it's an updated store. It got a nice make-over and it looks clean and fresh inside. The seats are very comfy and there are booths, regular tables and chairs and bar stools at a counter along the windows. When my boyfriend and I eat there we always get served in a timely manner. The cashier has always been polite and friendly, even joking with my boyfriend about a shirt he was wearing once. The cost is about average but nothing outrageous. but watch out, the meatball sub is the only food that has given me heartburn! My boyfriend loves their Thanksgiving Turkey Sub--he always gets it when we eat there! read more

Horrible, Every time I go to this location it is completely empty and it still takes them 15 minutes to make a cold sandwich that requires no cooking. Then it's a 50% chance if you get the right bread, IE order a pocket and receive a sub roll. Compare this to Easton center which is always packed and still gets orders out faster, and correctly. Really upset with the service tonight. With very few people in front of me, why does it take 20 minutes to make a cold cut sandwich? At one point, the manager called everyone into the back because he was mad at them, leaving no one to make my sandwich. My food went from on it's way in 15 minutes to 30 minutes all because the girl on the phone hung up on me twice so I called and complained . The manager apologized but it's all her fault due to poor training;if she was trained on how to answer the phone I wouldn't have to call back twice after being hung up on TWICE !!! I went in on 12/21/18 to grab a sub with my grandmother, the environment was clean, casual, and relaxing! The manager JOE, greeted us right away. He took our order, had everything right, was COMPLETELY PATIENT with my elderly grandmother which was a PLUS, and then walked over and brought our lunch to the table. Service was excellent. The girl helping me and I had a nice conversation about being a vegetarian. But d'angelos is unnecessarily expensive. Much more so for their competition. But every once in a while I will splurge because you are paying for quality at d'angelos. Not so here. Pretty disappointed in my visit here today. I've always had great service when I order for delivery but today I planned my lunch break around the time they open which is 10:30. I've been at work since 4am so 10:30 is lunch in my world. Arrived at 10:35 and all the doors were locked and lights turned off. I have to say the customer service here is excellent. One of the places I have been to that have friendly staffs and the manager was too. I came across a promotion, but it was only valid for the steak sandwiches, but I didn't want 3 steak sandwiches; instead I wanted a chicken sandwich. The staff was very generous and said she could accommodate my request. I was pleased. We sat down to eat, and after we were about done, the manager walked by and asked do you want a plastic bag instead to take your sandwich to go. That was such a kind gesture. Definitely will return.
