    Honey cinnamon French toast
    Julie M.

I have been here a few times now and it is typically really good. The chefs special of honey cinnamon French toast is my favorite. It was brioche style bread and I had banana on it which was really fresh. My friend got the corned beef hash and he did like it, the hollaindaise sauce was really good. It's also really quick service! We were in and out in 30 minutes

Very homey and can get busy. They're nice so great service and food is done fast. The benches are a little iffy as you can feel someone sitting behind you if they lean back or move around. It's not super clean or anything but they're down to earth diner!

    Italian Scramble

My experiences at Jimmy's Diner have been hit-or-miss, and sadly, today was a total miss. I got the Italian Scramble (sausage, peppers, scrambled eggs, and potatoes topped with cheese) special, thinking it would be good blend of savory and spice. Though it had plenty of sausage, it had zero flavor at all, and was one note. The English muffin was soggy and barely grilled. Very disappointing. The service is inconsistent here and today's waitress had no service skills, just dropped the food and ran and never checked in, and only came back when it was time for the paycheck. She was "smiling" when she dropped the check off, but too little too late for me. There are many choices to eat in Weymouth, and Jimmy's is off my list.

I love love love Jimmy's! So much so, that I went there three times in three days! The first day I got house made corned beef hash with poached eggs=100% The second day, I got the turkey dinner. Solid, loved the squash side, the stuffing was the only disappointment=92% The third day, I got baked potato skins stuffed with scrambled eggs, cheese, peppers and ham=110% If I lived closer, I would be a weekly customer. The coffee was solid and the refills kept coming The staff is efficient and friendly and the kitchen turns orders around FAST!

Eggs, pancakes and not the best bacon

After sunrise service, we went here for breakfast. We started off with a grilled corn muffin and then I ordered a California breakfast. My order was beautifully presented and just stunning to look at and even better to eat! My husbands order was good but his bacon was way undercooked so we didn't eat that at all. They still have the plastic dividers up which I am A.O.K with. The only downside was the waitress - she wasn't very pleasant at all. She wasn't rude but she seemed annoyed that we didn't order coffee. I already had 2 cups by 7:00am after attending Sunrise service so I was fully caffeinated. If you work in an establishment like that you need to be a people person, ESPECIALLY on Easter morning. We would totally go back because the portions are large, the food is not overly priced and we enjoyed almost every bite. Gotta love this quaint places that have been around a long time. Just hire better staff!

We came on a Wednesday at 10am. Service was great. The food came out fast. We got a Benny, steak n eggs and pancakes. Everything was tasty. The price was reasonable. Definitely would go back

    Chicken tenders and fries

Jimmy's is my favorite diner and luckily it's right up the street from me. Great food, friendly service and fair prices. Club sandwich is tasty with big pieces of turkey, thick slice of ham and lots of bacon with thick fries perfectly cooked a pickle and coleslaw. The Cowboy Burger tasted chargrilled and came with onion rings, slaw and a pickle. Some of the best chicken tenders with a perfectly seasoned light, crispy crust served on a bed of fries and again that delicious pickle. Classic diner ambiance. You'll never get bored with their extensive menu.

We walked into a space with an old-school feel that still kept things fun, with colorful decorations, themed donuts, and custom creations displayed throughout the shop. The room had a warm, inviting energy with a steady flow of regulars coming in for their morning coffee and donuts, and the display case was filled with rows of generously sized pastries that made it hard to choose just one. It felt like the kind of local bakery that has something for everyone. The donuts are the main attraction, with a menu that includes both traditional favorites and more elaborate specialty options. We ordered a few and found the classic glazed, jelly-filled, Boston cream, and coconut donuts made fresh daily and noticeably larger than what you will find at most chain shops. Alongside the classics, the bakery regularly releases seasonal and holiday-themed donuts that are decorated with impressive attention to detail, making them just as fun to look at as they are to eat. One of the things that sets Donut King apart is its custom donut cakes and special event orders. Instead of a traditional cake, they can create large donut displays and personalized designs for birthdays, baby showers, and other celebrations. The decorations are creative, and the staff are often willing to accommodate custom requests, making it a popular option for special occasions. The drink menu complements the bakery well, with specialty lattes, coffee, and refreshing seasonal beverages that pair nicely with the donuts, making it an easy place to stop for a quick breakfast or coffee break. The staff are consistently friendly and welcoming, helping create the neighborhood atmosphere that keeps many customers coming back. While the shop can get busy during mornings and weekends, service generally moves quickly despite the crowds. The team moved through orders with efficiency, and the donuts came out fresh and well presented. Overall, Donut King is a great choice if you are looking for fresh, generously sized donuts with plenty of variety. Between the classic recipes, creative seasonal offerings, custom donut cakes, and welcoming atmosphere, it stands out as one of the better local bakeries for both everyday treats and special occasions.

I would agree with previous reviewers that chips ate really good but that's where my compliments end. Nachos had tons of crema but not a lot of melted cheese along with some pieces of hard and tasteless hard beans and pico in some places. I went with one of the specials - butternut squash and black beans quesadilla. I asked for the sauce on the side. When it arrived, it looked like 4 pieces of thin tortillas so I opened to see what was inside and it had very little inside. The butternut squash was drowned in oil and the beans were again hard and tasteless. There wasn't a lot of cheese or any other fillings you would expect from a quesadillas. Service was good and our server checked with us and refilled our drinks. Place has a bar area that was somewhat empty for a Friday night and they had a game playing on the big screen tv. Bathroom seemed somewhat messy.

We started with the house-baked bread sampler that was served with honey butter and a delicious "nest" of hummus and an appetizer of honey roasted carrots on a bed of farro. We then shared the Salmon Poke Bowl that was so fresh and flavorful and a spring pasta dish of lemon cream, fresh tomatoes, arugula with lots of cheese. There were so many items on the menu we'd like to try but their baker makes such incredible bread that we ordered another plate! Cheers to chef/owner Tina Conte and her team. Also, the view from the dining room looking out at the golf course is really pretty, even on a rainy day and the decor of the restaurant is comfortable and inviting for spending a slow lunch enjoying great food.

My friend had the steak tips (on the specials menu) which came with broccolini and mashed potatoes. Trivia was a lot of fun - more old school style of writing answers and point wagers on paper for each round, and bringing it up to the quiz master. We will definitely be back for trivia, and dinner, again soon!
