It wasn't a problem for me as far as problems go, but McCullough Avenue is tricky when you're driving a car much less trying to cross the street ..... next time I'll wait across the street and pull into a parking space as soon as it opens up. I asked for simple curtain bangs and the stylist completely butchered the right side of my hair. She told me she was fresh out of cosmetology school and it honestly showed. The cut was uneven, choppy, and way shorter than I asked for. It was so bad that I have been self conscious about my hair ever since. What makes it worse is that my hair has never been the same. I take very good care of my hair and it used to grow evenly and healthy. Three years later and that section still has not grown back properly. I have had to style around it constantly and it has been extremely frustrating. I trusted this salon and left feeling upset and embarrassed. If you care about your hair at all, I would strongly reconsider booking with a level 1 stylist here. Saving money is not worth dealing with damage that lasts for years.

However, when I got up to the salon, they had asked me for my license plate information to cover or waive the parking expense. Unfortunately, this information wasn't relayed to me in advance that they would be covering the parking expense and the parking lot states you have to pay when you park and when I told her I had already paid for it nobody told me anything even when I asked ahead where to park, Lili's response was "oh well next time." It would have been nice to save the $21.56 that I had spent for 2 hours of parking. Again, super appreciative that they even offer this it's just nice that if it is offered that the information is relayed so I could have appreciated/benefited from it as well.

If a nail is filed correctly, she would not be bleeding in a localized area in that nature. That's not irritation. TF? Very unprofessional to gaslight her. I have been frequenting this place for over a year and have recommended this place multiple times. But as of recently, I've been getting knicked, improperly filed down and had less than ideal results. The service has been inconsistent and it's sad to see this place go downhill. It's even more sad to see that management has not only gaslit me, but very clearly is doing it to other women.

With busy schedules, I found a day that worked for everyone and booked my appointment. I arrived about an hour early so I could enjoy the hot tub before my massage. I was also planning to take advantage of the spa amenities afterward and grab lunch at one of the restaurants. About 10 minutes before my appointment, I put on my robe and headed to the waiting area. As my appointment time came and went, I watched every other guest get called back for their massages while I continued to wait. After another 10 minutes had passed, I finally went to the front desk to ask what was going on. The manager came out and informed me that there had been a miscommunication and my massage therapist was unable to make it to work that day. Unfortunately, there were no other therapists available and no alternative appointment times. I was simply told they were sorry and that I would need to reschedule. At that point, I broke down in tears. This wasn't just a massage, it was my birthday gift and my first opportunity to step away from the chaos and demands of postpartum life. Having that experience taken away without any notice was incredibly disappointing. To their credit, they did offer me a complimentary massage whenever I am able to rebook, which I appreciated and accepted. However, this was a very disappointing first impression. A simple phone call before I arrived could have saved me the time, effort, childcare arrangements, and emotional letdown.

Adrianna is a real artist when it comes to color! My hair was a dull and dingy dark brown with brassy highlights (a bit reddish in tone and overgrown roots) about 3 inches in length when I first entered the D'Anthony salon off loop 410 and requested a cut and color. The salon was near the hotel that I was staying at and I needed an overall re-fresh after spending months as a caretaker and putting my needs on hold. I was concerned about going someplace new. I was pleasantly surprised. Adrianna looked at my color and asked me to "thumb" through some magazines so that she could get an idea of what I was looking for. Instead, I pointed to a poster on the wall and exclaimed, "I want that look!" It was a photo of a woman with voluminous caramel colored hair with thin streaks of blonde intertwined. (Natural looking) Remember, my hair absorbed light rather than reflected it, so, it was more of a black hole than a white hole that glowed with radiant light. After three hours with Adrianna, a new universe was born. My hair was shiny, the cut was precise, and the color combination of lowlights and highlights made it look as if it was in its natural state of being. She gave me a volume filled "beachy"waves look after the blow out and WaLAAAA (singing)....I looked 10 years younger!!!! Seriously, Adrianna is well trained and understands Paul Mitchell hair color. She keeps her tools clean, sharp, and is not stingy with products. She understands how to use product to enhance a blowout. She takes her time and is fastidious about detail. Since that time, I have returned six times at a spending average of over $260. (My hair is long- and I always buy product to keep my hair looking its best) I recommend Paul Mitchell's awapuhi products for mature/color treated hair. My experience at this salon was the best!! Every employee was smiling & super friendly as soon as I walked in. Michelle was the one who did my hair, a gorgeous balayage. I've always dyed my own hair & there was still red in it that she had to pull out! It ended up being perfect, absolutely no brassy tones - the blonde was beautifully done & exactly what I had hoped for. Everytime I had to sit for a little bit I was offered refreshments which is always a plus! I heard about D'Anthony's Salon on 410 and Broadway, so I decided to try it out. I am so glad I did! As soon as I walked in the Decor got an A+ and I got a good feeling about the Salon. I was scheduled with a stylist named Bree, who turned out to be a delight! She listened to what I desired and took it from there. She understood what I wanted and added the touch that I was looking for. Bree's technique from shampoo to cut is something I had not experienced before. This place is by appointment only so I highly suggest you calling a week in advance. I was told they are busiest on Saturday. I had the pleasure of being scheduled with Ashley. I showed her a picture of what I was thinking of. I asked how long the process would take she let me know it would be about 3-4 hours. While we were in the process of doing my hair I noticed Ashley took her time to make sure everything was done right. She gives the best shampoo rinses! I was trying my best not to fall asleep during the process. She was attentive, patient, and very understanding. She was also very knowledgeable about the whole process. Fast forward to the end. I LOVE the way my hair came out. Absolutely gorgeous!! This was my first experience doing this type of service and Ashley did not disappoint. I am beyond impressed and satisfied with the service I received. I would highly recommend this place and suggest you ask for Ashley. She made me feel welcomed and comfortable throughout the entire duration of my service. I ended up paying 195 for what I did but it was completely worth what I paid. Thank you so much Ashley!! I found Justine who specializes in Asian hair despite my hair being difficult to lift and had a lot of old permanent dye which impacted it. She was super knowledgeable about how to fix and improve my hair color and taught me how to healthily maintain it. Kay spa is super clean and provides snacks and water, and all the staff was friendly too. I noticed how collaborative the culture was here and made the hours go by quick talking to the staff! I was so pleasantly surprised! Danny Cruz was my stylist, and miraculously, with only ONE color (no highlights, balayage, etc.), he gave me the exact chocolate color I was hoping for. He also cut my layers in a way that gave my hair some much-needed bounce and liveliness that it had so been missing. Everyone was following proper COVID protocols, including mask-wearing at all times and plenty of hand sanitizer available, so I felt safe while at the salon. Service was warm and welcoming from all employees, including my stylist Danny, who was funny, attentive, and personable.
