If I could give zero stars on this thing I would. A very unprofessional and unhelpful and clearly untrained employee at the front desk (Alex or Alex). I called to make plans to go in and open up a membership and asked about the monthly rate as it pertains to my employer's CorporatePartnership with Lifetime. He told me that he had no idea and I needed to go talk to my employers HR department. After trying to get further clarification and more information, he sarcastically pretty much told me to call them and he could not help me. For a facility charging over $150 a month for membership, you would think they better train their employees orcould hire more quality employees to provide customer service. This experience single-handedly turn off to this facility and I'm definitely going to spread the word.

This is a very nice gym for the most part. They could do a better job refilling the wipes to clean the equipment. Half the time you are walking around looking for some only to consistently find an empty canister. It's pretty clean throughout the gym. The staff does wear masks and also goes around spraying down areas and equipment. There is hand sanitizer all over. The staff in the children's area is great! This is probably what I'm most pleased with. They are all very nurturing and friendly. My daughter looks forward to going everyday because of them. All of the food in the cafe we have tried has been delicious. I like they they do camps and parent night outs. Overall, I enjoy all the extra amenities you are able to access.

Just signed up today! So far so good, love the staff and cleanliness of the gym! Franky (she's a lovely energetic outgoing lady) signed us up! Never felt peer pressured into getting anything I didn't want, and was gave ya a wonderful tour of the gym! (If a male calls you and he says he's Franky, he's actually Trevor!) They offer many many amenities and there's no creepy person staring at you anywhere in the gym! Updated with new technology on most of their equipment and plenty of space! They even have an app to keep track of your recent activities. They offer: rock wall climbing, sport courts, children's camp and daycare, indoor field mainly for weight lifting, two indoor pools and two hot tubs, a unisex sauna right next to it, a pool outside with two water slides, in each gender bathroom there is a sauna and a eucalyptus steam room, and upstairs they have one barbell class room, an exercise room, a yoga studio and that's where all the gym equipments are! Each of their locker has a lock already built in and they have their own laundry service. Clothes for diamond members and new face and bath towels everyday. The restrooms also come with hair blow dryers and a tumble dryer for your clothes to dry quickly when needed. On the outside they have a cafe with free WiFi, and a hair salon and nail salon, in the back of the salon their is private massage and facial rooms. - The next day - Met up Corey today for on boarding: basically to see where we are at and what are our goals and what we can do to reach our goals while also calculating our BMI. He's a very cool dude and is definitely not trying to waste your time. He's there to help and not pressure you to do anything you DONT want to do. He's also a fitness trainer here so he's gonna whip us into shape! Outgoing guy with a sense of humor. So far so good Lifetime!

The cart you push across the turf. I legit love this thing.

Strange vibes at the front desk. Not welcoming and absolutely no eye contact. Front desk needs some hospitality training.

I  finally went…read morethere for the first time the other day (thb I am also a member of 2 other gyms) so that's why it took me so long to visit. It was a Saturday morning about 10am and the gym was not busy which is good. I only went to do cardio which they have a ton of machines there (treadmills, ellipticals, and bikes) and they even have a few upstairs so you can watch people below you (weird). This probably isn't a helpful review since I haven't explored each and every area of the gym, but suffice to say they seem to have adequate weights and space, a HIIT area and decent machines for those that don't like free weights. They have childcare (extra$) and a smoothie bar or something like that which I didn't try. next time I may actually perform a full workout so I can provide a more helpful review. The hours aren't too bad. Check the website to be sure. Please note that the basic rate of 9.99 pretty much only gives you access to walk in and work out. If you require any of the additional features or need a trainer, that comes with the addition packages or additional costs. There are also additional costs associated with the 9.99 membership so just be sure you understand all the small print. When I was there, I did not see any sweaty guys with no shirts on the machines, nor could I detect any grunting or sounds that resemble ancient man taking down a mastodon. I didn't hear any clanging and banging or weights being dropped and someone yelling like they got hot sauce in their eye so its a relatively safe place if you fear creatures that fall lower on the evolutionary scale. This is definitely not a "hardcore" gym. Temperature was cool enough to keep bacteria from replicating. They have fancy trash cans which have wipes built in to them and I was able to wipe down my equipment. as far as how busy they are, I probably should go there on ICD and see how many people are there.  (for those of you that don't know, ICD is "international chest day" or Monday to the layperson). Most of this, like I said, was not informative. I would suggest going by there and making your own determination. If you are someone wanting to get in better shape and have never worked out, this place may be ideal for you. if you are an experienced fitness enthusiast  then they may lack a few things to support your fitness journey.

I get that his job is sales but when you are being aggressive and forceful when a young woman says no she does not want to sign up for training, and he kept asking "why, why, why" then that's a problem. He would not take no for an answer and would not leave her alone. I have emailed corporate and no I do not want to go to the location and speak to anyone there. I want a phone call from corporate. My…read moremembership plan clearly states that if you attend at least 12 times in a month, your fee is cut in half. I went to the gym daily, yet I was repeatedly billed the full amount. When I noticed the error, I immediately called customer service. They claimed they would "investigate," but two months and countless follow-up calls later, I'm still being told there's "no error on their end." Meanwhile, I kept getting billed in full. That excuse is unacceptable. If there truly were no error, I should have been told right away, not dragged along for months while they continued taking my money. To make matters worse, Colaw insists on continuing to charge my card unless I complete an "end of contract" form--something not even accessible on their website. They admitted I'd have to request it by email. This is a deliberate barrier designed to make it harder for members to leave, and it's shady business practice at best. The worst part? A customer service representative actually told me I could "just go somewhere else." How awful is that? That's how they treat loyal, paying members who have been driving 20 minutes each day to support their gym. Absolutely unacceptable. What's most disappointing is that this gym brands itself as being built on Christian values and morals. Yet their management refuses to take any accountability, refuses to meet loyal members halfway, and acts as if they're always right. Companies make mistakes--it happens. But denying them, while hiding behind a façade of "Christian values," is hypocritical and disgraceful. Colaw Fitness should be ashamed of how it treats long-standing customers.

I am being told to reach out to the Chief Operations Officer in order to cancel my membership--to cancel a membership! Otherwise I am on the hook for over $500 of services I will never use. I'm used to compromises, guests being accommodated, and moving forward in positive directions. Clearly, my standards are too high and this YMCA will never reach them. The changing room is a small room with 9 lockers; one tall one and eight of the little stacked minis. This changing room is separated from the actual restrooms and is intended for one guest (or maybe a small family) to change at a time. There are no showers! It has a spacious aerobics studio, and a cycling room. The main gym is two decent sized rooms conjoined with eight Nautilus machines for full body, and one military press rack. There's four benches with different contours depending on what press you're doing. But they're not bench press racks. On the periphery is running, tread, and stair machines. The free weights (dumbbells, kettlebells) range from 5 to 40 lbs. They do have lots of plate weights from the other Y's, but like I said there's no squat or bench racks. There's a mysterious inclined shoulder shrug rack close to one of the doors, but I've never used one like it. It might be an aftermarket squat rack, idk. The main attraction here is a quaint koi pond out front. But if you came to the gym to train, visiting a pond is probably not a selling point. And the facilities are fairly meager. Maybe they're expanding in the future (that's happened to a lot of YMCAs I've belonged to), but right now this place is barebones. Come here if you have a class here or cannot make it down to the Cooper Street location.
