When the laundry facility at our apartment complex was down for repair I chose this one because it was close and clean. The machines are clean and modern, the staff is nice and helpful, and the experience wasn't awful. The cost of laundry is much more than I expected, as of this writing on April of 2023, the large capacity washers are $6/load, and the regular capacity are $3.50/load. The dryers can handle big loads pretty well and the will give you 6 minutes of drying for every quarter (about $1.75/load). There are lots of baskets to wheel your laundry from machine to machine or to the smallish folding tables, but the whole place is kind of cramped and getting wet clothes from one place to another is a challenge. It does beat some of the other, skivvier places in town but that's a pretty low bar. read more

I hope I'm reviewing the right place because it deserves a great rating. I wasn't familiar with Dexter machines. I'm so used to the complicated nickle and dime you and over charge you for everything speed Queen machines. So the simplicity of the these new Dexter machines went completely over my head. The attendant there showed me the controls. The only downside is that you have to remember to set the water temperature before you fully put your quarters in. Otherwise I have no other complaint about the machines. They are fantastic and I like them better than speed queen. Maybe it's how this place maintains their machines, but there was zero musty mildew dirty diaper smell at all. And my clothes came out well. I got there and unloaded several big loads just before the last wash should have been put in and at 830pm I was still feeding the washers quarters and soap. My 7 yr old was helping and quarters got stuck in one of the washers and the lady came and helped get them unstuck. She was concerned that I hadn't filled the washers with enough clothes and suggested pulling out a load to completely fill another. And I did. It worked out great. I was just concerned about overfilling and trying to hurry up because I knew they closed at 10pm. At 9pm I was still switching loads and could see I was running past 10 at this point. So the lady finished her closing routine and while I was frantically going through a dryer trying to half ass fold and shove back into a bag, she was kind and calm and patient and offered big clean bags to put them in and offered her help in folding and putting them in bags. She even put some clothes back in the dryer when they were still damp and even helped me out to my truck. I just had quarters on me and I tried to give her at least something for all her help, but she didn't take it. She just wanted to help. This place is clean. The washers are new and simple to use, don't hit you with surprise charges and most of them work great and don't smell. The dryers work well. They have vending machines - one for snacks another for beverages and another for laundry essentials. And a quarter machine if you need quarters. And customer service as mentioned is top notch- attentive and helpful. What more do you need. I'm not a fan of the laundry cards, so I'm glad they don't have that here. But I know a lot of people are. You can make an argument either way. But for me, it's one less card I have to worry about losing, expiring, or not fully using. You have to purchase them. And if lost you have to buy it again. And lose any money left on the one you lost. And any rewards you may have gotten. Obviously I'm a little jaded and bitter about my experience. But really I just don't like to waste money like that and time when I could have just used quarters and not given a second thought. So again, I'm glad they don't do that. The last two times that I used their washers, it ruined my clothes! Leaving muddy looking spots on my clothes. When I approached the lady who's there all the time and told her what happened she said, "Maybe your clothes was already like that." I know my clothes! There's no way my clothes should have dirty spots. I let her know that the dispenser where you add detergent and softener has a lot of build up and possibly mold, maybe that was the issue. You can tell she got bothered when I said that. She quickly said, "No, I clean it everyday" Clearly it's not cleaned everyday. I will not be going back to this place. read more

Overall this place has been improving. The service is now getting better. Many machine are out of service.

Compared to multiple coin-operated laundromats in Salinas, this one is in pretty good condition and yet a bit smaller than most. A maximum of 10 people would be comfortable moving around. There's a mix of new, semi-new, and old washers. Dryers are fairly dated but get the job done well. Plus-side: -Open until 10PM. -Detergent and other laundry goods for sale. -In mini shopping center with donut shop & pizza place. -3 folding areas. Spent about $5.25 per load. $3.50 Washing (LG Machines worked beautifully.) $1.75 Drying (56 Minutes) Only downside is during peak hours it may be cramped and difficult to get started since some washers and dryers would be out of order. For best experience come right when they open or at least 2 hours before they close. If you do bring a friend or kids, the Ms. PacMan game kills time. read more

I got very behind on washing clothes and linens so I decided to get it all done at once and take it all to a laundromat. This place was great. The woman who was working was incredibly helpful and kind, showing me how much to load into each washer and how to work the machines. The place is clean and well kept. I finished a huge undertaking in a short period of time. The only reason I took one star off is because there are quite a few machines that are out of order. One of the most convenient & cleanest laundromats I've been too. The owner seems to take care of this place but very well but in the way back are old machines that should get replaced. But there are plenty of machines to go around so you have loads of space for your clothes. One con that did spike me for the second time I've been here is that I'm 5'3, and the slot insert for the detergent & fabric softener is a bit to over the top of the machine to even see if I put enough liquid at the right amount in the slot so I'm tip toeing my best when trying to apply it. But my clothes come out very well and the lady who takes care of the place is attentive and is able to help you at her best. It is in a convenient location so you have a food shops nearby and plenty of parking spaces. It is one of the most smallest layouts I've been to as well but it doesn't seem to get too cramped if you come at the right time. Will be back again! read more

I just came to this laundry mat to wash my dogs beds and blankets and the lady stood in front of my washer and told me that I could not wash my dogs blankets. That's why people come to laundromats because some things are just too big for there own washers and dryers. Don't come here they are not animal lovers. Came here for 4 years and it was okay on weekdays which I now work on . It is too crowded o the weekends and everything is breaking down. I started having them do my laundry and for months I brought it in on Sundays. Well, evidently they no longer take in laundry on Sundays. Candy the owner started yelling at me not to bring my laundry in on a Sunday. I am not paying to be yelled at. this is worst laundry matt ever . Most if dryers have out of order signs and the ones that don't . Are not working either waist if time having to take clothes in and out of dryers . Horrible experience . They chafe 1.75 for washer that fit about 5 thing in them . Reduclus will never come here agian .
