I had a great experience for a great price!!! I have to be honest, I was a little shocked at HOW GOOD they did! I am very happy and the price is a steal!

We came in for 3 facials and they were absolutely amazing!! They got us in right away. There was a private room with music. The treatments lasted about 45 minutes. We couldn't have been happier, just like going to a nice spa!

Horrible service! My nails look like a child did them. The owner is rude and inconsiderate. You will not receive your money back for poor service. Please stay away! I understand they are students but the type of service I received shouldn't be allowed!

Dope comb over fade by Nick the Barber.

I just got a dope ass haircut from 1 of the new up coming talents in the Barber game. Nick the Barber is the FUTURE! I read my YELP reviews and what they say about Nick is true. He is legit. He is a Diamond gem hidden in a garage sale. Why isn't this guy in a top shop yet has me baffled. If you want a top cut for a cheap price, come here while it last. I believe once he becomes certified and he gets in a shop, the prices will raise which will be way worth the cost. If he is busy there are a few other that can get the job done with excellent service which you will not be disappointed. Ask for FRANK, JULIE, Austin, Eduardo, Derrick and Louis. These Barbers are up and coming and I'm pleased with all the cuts they have given me.

Perfect French pedicure!!!!!!

I was satisfied with the bargain but was ecstatic when Nick gave me such a clean fade and line up.

The school is very…read morerun down, only two wash basins-sinks are working and had hot water, the pedicure chair coverings are in tatters, many of the student stations don't have a mirror so that you can see what they're doing, there was no sanitizer being used in between using clips and hair implements on different clients. I had a manicure and deep conditioning treatment and my friend had a pedicure and a deep conditioning treatment. Our appointment was at 11:30. There were only three students who could do nails. My friend was not started on until noon. The two instructors didn't remember what services we were having, first a barber student washed our hair and put the conditioner in and a different student blow dried it out. The instructor advised the student doing my blowout to use a hot iron on my bangs, I have fine hair -all he needed to do was use a round brush while blow drying to turn them under -my forehead got burned from the steam. The student who did my friends blowout sprayed so much product in her hair it appeared greasy when it was finished. The same student did her pedicure, he was nervous, (her toenails needed to be cut, his hands were shaking) so she did not ask him to cut her toenails, he only filed them. Complete waste of our money and three and a half hours. I don't think the students who go here are getting a good education.

The inside looks a little bit old and out of date but don't let it fool you. I got a cut for my 10 yr old and myself. Mine cost $10 and my sons was $8. The people are very friendly, wait time less than 5 minutes and we had no appts. One of the instructors cut mine because I wanted my hair cut choppy, short complex cut with a razor. She was awesome and I could tell she was a good teacher to the students there as well. I had showed a picture to her of what I wanted and it turned out identical to the picture. My son also liked his cut and again turned out identical to the picture he was shown. His was done by a student. I WILL BE RETURNING AND MAY TRY A NEW COLOR!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

My curls came out perfectly shaped, soft, and exactly what I wanted. I've already received so many compliments! It honestly looks like it was done by a seasoned professional, not a student. The instructors were also very supportive and involved, which made me feel confident I was in great hands the entire time. I would absolutely recommend coming here if you're considering a service. I have had baby highlights done before, and I have never had such an awful experience in my life. Unfortunately, the results looked almost exactly the same as my original color and even appeared darker in some areas. What made the experience more frustrating was that the instructor did not agree or acknowledge that the result was not what I had requested. As a customer, it's disappointing when your concerns are not taken seriously. I paid $120, and like everyone else, I work hard for my money. Now I have to go somewhere else and spend more to get this fixed. I truly had hoped to become a regular client here, but after this experience, I would not recommend this place to others.

This review should be a zero for the proctor. The Fairfield testing location is nice and overall,…read morethe exams were very organized and what you might expect based on the NIC packet. The written exam proctors were polite and professional. Very helpful and eased some nervousness after five hours of a practical. In school we were skillfully trained with professional conduct. Our teachers never trained us for the practical exam by yelling during the entire test and throwing combs, foils in our faces, and slamming supplies on the tables. Perhaps if they had, we'd all be ready for the completely unacceptable environment here. I'm wondering if other professional license exams overseen by department of consumer affairs like dentists, medical etc are treated this way? The practical exam proctors. Wow! Luckily they read the verbal instructions twice, and you have a binder to follow along which is great because they read so fast. The one blue haired proctor. Well, she is a piece of work as you can see in all of her raving reviews here. I almost feel sorry for her, but it is fairly evident going back k several years, that the state and governing agencies have enabled her to continue her tirade for years. As soon as she walked in the room you could cut tension with a knife. She didn't introduce herself like the other proctors. Ok no biggee. But it's not hard to find out her name. Mimi Chaves. I am a military veteran that has deployed and I understand how important the training and exam are, but it's not like we are training to do haircuts in Afghanistan. She makes the room hostile. She reads the verbal instructions very loud, not out loud, like she's talking to dumb people who can't hear, and mumbles so you can't understand her. She is extremely unprofessional and her conduct is appalling as part of a state licensing professional exam center. You can tell she hates her job and is not supportive of the licensing for our industry. Sure she's been in the business for 28 years. Maybe 23 years too long. She's very jaded and I am just so glad that I know the truth because I left feeling very badly until I saw all these reviews. Based on the NIC, the only talking should be the proctor reading instructions. But we were so lucky to get yelled at for a variety of things constantly. And things that would literally have no relevance to working with a real client. Like the tripod. It's a tripod. They don't work perfect. People hit them with their feet, they are annoying and move inches yet we all got yelled at for it being out of our space constantly while trying to focus on the head of hair. And heaven forbid if you have to move it, of course sanitize your hands. But geez. In a real client situation, you would sanitize hands if you left client and then came back. Not when you turn their chair an inch. Also, trash falls on ground. Why yell it out? Are they trying to help others in room cheat? Because every time they yelled about trash, lids, tripods, tables, etc, we all stopped what we were doing to look and see if it was ours. That is so unprofessional. It humiliated the test takers and makes the others nervous. Who cares if station 4's lid is off their color. Mark them down for it. That's the job. Not belittle them and degrade them in the room in middle of exam. Mark down mistakes and move on. I could go on and on, but I just cannot believe that I was so excited to finally get my test date, but left emotionally drained and just disgusted after I read so many reviews on here about the same person over and over. I had no idea what I was walking into and I am hesitant to retake it. I will own my mistakes because we all make them, but the exam environment is so toxic that it leaves you absolutely grateful when you pass that you never have to go through it again. And I know this because I spoke to a couple who passed and they said she was horrid and during their exam she was dropping F bombs. WTF.

First want to say the written test proctor are kind, encouraging, approachable, and made the room…read morefeel calm. I was surprised to get there early and be allowed to start my exam! That was awesome! One thing that wasn't clear was where the written test was- "suite D" , which is down a few doors from The main entrance. That wasn't made clear. Heard a few girls saying they had a 5:30am test and were confused & lost, standing at the door in the pouring rain, not knowing they were at the wrong door to begin with. Now on to the practical, proctor, and office ladies. What a hostile bunch. Not welcoming what so ever. God forbid you have a question. I understand they probably answer the same questions way to many times but it is your job to aid students who are trying to advance their careers. A little less attitude and eyes rolling would be nice. I think a problem is everyone is so nervous and there is just so much information to take in, that we need just a tad more validation/confirmation. I got the got blue hair proctor that a-lot of the reviews are about on here. She is very clear to understand. I don't think it is here job to make small talk, and I didn't feel like it was her private agenda was to fail everyone. I just think it happens that ppl right now aren't switching over to the new test format and that is why they are failing, not because she is on a witch hunt. Show up 30 mins early to your practical. Bring your letter, POT, kit, and ID. Test results available at 1:45pm.

Don't waste your time or money. I went into this school with high hope's and every excited to start…read moretraining for HVAC. Not even a month into it and I was regretting and dragging my feet to in everyday. My 1st instructor taught use more about his personal life then the actual subject. Didnt follow the way he was supposed to teach us whiched caused a big issue for those who were going to go into the next class. He passed everyone regardless. Had a motor project and passed us all even though none of us got the motor to work. He didnt really even try to get it running. You don't learn in the traditional way. You don't learn from A-Z. They will throw you in wherever the class is currently at. So you maybe learning the very end of the book before you even learn the beginning of the book which is bad if you are completely new to the subject and don't have any knowledge or experience. You don't jump into HVAC right away which is normal. You'll be doing electrical theory but my instructor didn't even go over HVAC electrical. I was learning more how to be an electrician then HVAC technician. Once I got into HVAC I was told in was going to take my certification test at the end of that month. Which is beyond stupid. They gave me a study packet to help prepare me for the test. By the time I had to take the test I failed of course but wasnt worried. Was told i had 3 attempts to take the test. The very next day after I took the 1st test i was told to take it again, and again I failed. The day after the 2nd test I was told to take it again and use the study packet because the head of the campus wants us to pass. Probably to give him a bonus or something like that. Well I'm not going to pay them to cheat on my future. I tried to talk them but the head of the campus "wasn't in today". I tired to call and kept going in to talk to him about why they wanted me to cheat. But kept getting the same response. I called them and told them I was dropping out because the cheating was the last straw. Then it seemed like they actually cared about my problem. I finally got calls back from the school and told them why I was leaving but the lady seemed not to really be paying attention and wanted me to go in and sit down with the head of the campus. I wasn't going to waste my time with them anymore. Said in was going to go in but didn't. I told them about it and they didn't seem to care until I left.

My experience here was amazing my counselor helped my out threw every step of the way !!read more
