This morninig I took my old disabled mom for full face cleaning to this place around 11 AM they gave me an appointment for 12 PM and we atended there on time to our appintment but this person Zhila who supposed do the job she came from back of store passed us and ignored us and started working on someone else s eyebrows right in front of us without greeting us or saying a word so we sat there for 20 minites and she saw us and ignored us all the time we were there right in front of her eyes. I felt so bad not for myself but for my old disabaled mom .I don t know what was wrong with her any way I decided take my mom to other place . without saying any word . I have been Zhila's customer for over 15 years. My mother introduced me to her when I was a little 10 year old begging to shave my legs. I became a regular life-time customer at age 15 when bikini waxing became a necessity. Since then, I come to Zhila every month for eyebrows (it's a must) and waxing. I book my next appointment at the end of each session to ensure a spot because Zhila books up fast (and for very good reason). But don't let this put you off; Zhila will always squeeze you in, even if she has to stay late. I see her do it all the time. For me, coming to Zhila is like a monthly reset button. Every month, I come in a hairy mess, especially in the eyebrow department. Zhila cleans me up and sends me back into the world. I get so many compliments on my brows (which is crazy if you've ever seen my caterpillars in their primitive state) and it's all thanks to Zhila. Though I now shave my legs, the years of waxing my arms and bikini has drastically reduced the amount of hair I once had in those areas (like by 75%). As for Zhila herself, I appreciate her good humor and no nonsense approach to beauty. Like one other reviewer said, Zhila is a straight shooter and will tell you if something needs fixing. Of course, you don't have to take her advice but you'll be glad you did. Zhila is a wonderful woman and an excellent beauty resource. I'd be lost without her. Found this little gem through a co worker during a random talk about how hard it is for me to find someone to blow dry and flat iron my hair. I have extremely frizzy curly hair that is a headache to straighten. I got my hair cut by Fariba (I wanted a trim and layers). My hair was cut much shorter than I wanted (4" cut, without warning, after I asked for her to let me know how much she's going to cut before she cuts) and the back side wasn't very layered. I asked for a rounded bottom on the back, and she cut it pretty straight across. It didn't look so bad when it was wet, but when it dried up it didn't look nice at all. She did spend close to an hour cutting it and trying to fix it, but it just didn't work. In the end I wasn't happy with it, but I didn't want to spend any more time there and potentially make it worse. Other notes: Nobody greeted me when i walked in, and after 5 minutes I had to walk up to one of the employees to ask them about my appointment. Also, very strong smell of chemicals in the shop. read more

I've been coming here for years. I used to come see Jenny (I think that's her name, Asian girl) for haircuts, cheap and decent job. Then I used to come here to see Leanne for nails $20 mani pedi. Super cheap, decent job. Now, I'm a regular of Zhila's for eye brow threading. She does a good job, but it's impossible to get an appointment on a Friday or Sat unless you call a week in advance. She's very blunt and honest- so don't be turned off if you come to her for a little wax and she tells you that your eye brows look terrible and she needs to 'fix' them for you! read more

Unfortunately I'm giving this place 1 star and I never even got my eyebrows done to know if she was any good. I had called to ask if they do threading and she said yes I told her I was having trouble finding her store and she directed me to the store and I found it which was very close to where I was. I told her I was coming to get my eyebrows done she said see you soon. I walked in and she asked if I wanted to get my eyebrows done and I said yes I was the girl who just called she said okay I will be right with you and to have a seat. As I sat there for over 15 minutes noticed that all the other ladies that were working there doing nails were all in their own conversations not even communicating with the customers they were working on and the lady who I'm assuming was the owner was threading another woman's face but she was also talking to this customer so she would thread and then stop to talk and then thread and then stopped to talk as if nobody was waiting. After approximately 20 minutes she got up to tell me does she usually doesn't let people walk in and that she only does appointment and I said that's okay I understand that it was fine and I would be willing to wait and she said okay but then I thought to myself how much longer is this going to take so I asked after 20 minutes of waiting she said it would be another 30 minutes of just threading a woman's face, now I've been getting threaded for years and it is never taken me or taking anybody almost an hour to thread. At that point I was very upset and I walked out of the store because if she had told me when I called that she only accept appointments I wouldn't have gone to the store and if I if she had told me when I walked in that it would be almost an hour wait time I probably wouldn't have wasted my 20 minutes there being is that I had only about 30 minutes before I had to go to a doctors appointment that was behind the building and I'm 8 months pregnant. All in all very disappointing. Now whether she's good at what she does I don't know but I'm not going to give her the opportunity to show me. read more
