My fiancée and I have been clients at New Look Skin Center for laser treatments, but our recent experience was extremely disappointing. Due to a scheduling mistake on their end, an incorrect appointment was made, which resulted in a $142 charge that we strongly believe is not justified. We reached out in good faith to resolve the issue, but it was not handled appropriately. What made the situation worse was the interaction with the manager, Tanya. Instead of helping resolve the problem professionally, the conversation became unproductive and felt disrespectful. We did not feel heard or taken seriously as clients. Additionally, my fiancé's previous review about this experience was removed, which is very concerning. Because of that, I am sharing this experience again. This situation raises serious concerns about both customer service and transparency. We hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves how they handle client concerns in the future. read more

I've been getting laser here for 16 years. When I originally started doing my underarms, it was $10. In more recent years, I just come in for a 15 minute touch up. The price increased not too long ago to $75 for a 15 minute touch up which is already expensive. I made my touch up appointment just a few days ago. No mention or phone call of an increase. Come in and find a typed up letter on the checkin counter stating "effective immediately, 15 mins touch up now $100". I think considering I made the appointment just a few days ago, someone should've called or emailed prior to my appointment. Also, $100 is pretty outrageous In my opinion. Might have to find a new spot for laser. read more

Decided to give this place another shot after a bad experience a few years ago. Unfortunately, it was another disappointment. I had a 3:15 PM appointment and arrived at 3:00 PM. I wasn't taken in until 3:35, which already set the tone. This was supposed to be a simple touch-up on my upper back, chest, and stomach. The last time I came in for a touch-up, I was specifically told to shave the areas beforehand, so I did exactly that this time. As soon as I walked in, the nurse Rachel told me she couldn't perform the touch-up because I shaved and that I was not supposed to. Instead, she tried to upsell me into a full treatment for my entire chest, stomach, and back, which I did not need, at a significantly higher cost. To be clear, when you book here, they ask a ton of detailed questions and give very specific pre-appointment instructions. Not once did anyone mention not shaving for a touch-up. In fact, I was told the opposite previously when I arrived unshaven. It felt like a complete bait and switch. I came in for a small touch-up and was pushed toward a much more expensive service. I declined, and suddenly the only thing they could do was a partial area, my upper back. After going back and forth, Rachel came back and said they would waive the cancellation fee, which just added to the frustration. Honestly, I'm surprised they're still operating. I've been coming here for laser hair removal for YEARSSS & it took about 10 sessions for my hair to be completely gone. Now, I do not grow any hair, maybe one or two hairs throughout the year but oh my gosh LHR was the best decision ever! I've never gotten burnt here or had a bad experience despite their high turn over. Definitely recommend. I have dark course hair and am at my maintenance phase now and go 1-2x a year for touch ups. In the beginning of my LHR journey I came every four weeks like they recommended for my first six sessions then pushed it to when I saw hair come back. The best! I've been coming here for the last 10 years almost, mainly out of convenience, familiarity & (until recently) the affordability. But they have had me on prepay probation for since September 2024 due to cancelling an appointment same day back in 2023 (3 years ago!). I'm so annoyed because the managers KEEP denying my request to remove prepay requirement even though I've shown up to my appointments faithfully for all of 2025. Not to mention the raised pricing, there's not enough savings anymore to justify giving them my business anymore. No point in even arguing with them on the phone atp. Probably for the best though, since my hair growth keeps growing back if I stop treatment for more than a month. Need to find a new type of laser they clearly don't have! read more

I have been getting lasered for years. I know the do's and don't of what to do when you get lasered. I went in on Wednesday to get lasered in the same spots I always do. I walked out to pay and my legs started BURNING and were so itchy. I said something to the front desk. I asked if they got a new machine, and she said they did and that it makes the laser stronger. So don't itch my legs it's just a side affect. I have NEVER felt this type of burn or pain after laser. I get in the car I have bumps all over my leg. They burnt my legs!!! I call them and they tell me to send a picture so there PA can give me a call. She calls me hours later and just tells me I'm having an allergic reaction and to take Benadryl and put cream on my legs. Later that night it turns into red marks all over my legs and my legs are so sensitive I can even wear pants. I follow up with them and send them more pictures they tell me to put a cold pack on my legs! After that I asked to speak to a Manager. The NEXT day a manager finally calls me. Does not apologize, will not take any responsibility that their nurse burnt my legs. Keeps asking me to send more and more pictures! Telling me I'm not sending updated pictures of my legs when I am! So unprofessional! Terriable management. NEVER coming back here again. Take accountability your nurse messed up! This isn't a normal reaction to laser! Especially when I have gotten my legs lasered MANY times and this has never happened. also asked for a refund on just the portion of my legs and they keep telling me they need more pictures and for their nurse to review. This place is a scam and just a revolving door of getting people in out as quickly as possible with nurses that don't care what they are doing and look miserable. read more

I've been a client of NewLook for close to 20years and I'm leaving this review because I feel like this establishment should do better by their customers when it comes to "surcharge" fees. I usually don't ask for copies of my receipts but today I did and I noticed a "surcharge" of $7.11. I called to ask what that was, the employee explained it to me and said she would tell the front desk to remind clients that if they use a credit card there's a surcharge applied. She told me that the different amounts are on the screen when you are paying, but I have no memory of seeing different amounts. This is something that needs to be printed out in large font for clients to see, not some potential tiny print on a small screen, or it needs to be verbally communicated to clients. I'm left wondering how much I've unknowingly spent in "surcharges" over the last two decades. read more

I've been a loyal client at New Look Skin Center for 8 years -- Botox, laser, tattoo removal -- but what happened during my most recent PRP appointment was completely unacceptable. I went in for under-eye PRP. Bianca, who I've always trusted, tried to draw my blood. On the first try, she most likely hit a vein -- I started bleeding immediately -- but for some reason, the draw didn't work. She tried again with no success. On the third attempt, she brought in another nurse who got it right away -- but they reused the same needle from earlier. I was told they didn't have any more new ones. That's not just unprofessional -- it's unsafe. That is not okay in a medical setting. In the end, they only got a little over half of 1 tube of blood instead of 2, which isn't sufficient for a proper PRP treatment. I said I didn't want to proceed with half the materials and still pay the full $400. Both nurses were actually very understanding, and said it would make sense to get a discount since they charge more for 3 tubes of blood and I only got close to 1. They agreed to speak to management about a discount on my behalf. Eventually, Bianca told me they approved a $200 charge now and would put the other $200 as a "balance" for next PRP, saying she'd save the second tube. When I asked what that meant, she admitted she didn't fully understand it but said "don't worry -- they approved the discount." The next day, Tanya from management called and told me I still owe the $200, no matter what -- even if I never come back for PRP again. She claimed Bianca had told me this, which is completely false. I never would've agreed to move forward had I known they'd still charge me full price for an incomplete treatment. When I raised the issue of reusing a needle and now having a swollen arm, she told me it's "normal" and brushed it off. There was zero accountability, no apology, and no regard for client safety. I've never left a bad review in all my years here, but this crossed a line. Bianca and the second nurse genuinely tried to help -- but management showed absolutely no professionalism or ethics. I paid the $200, but I'll never return -- and I hope others think twice before trusting their skin and health to this place. read more
