We ordered California burritos to go, and they were really good. They provided plenty of napkins, sauces, and lemons for us too. It took maybe 20 minutes after ordering on the phone to get our food. Added menu pics because their website is hard to navigate with all the adds and prices are wrong.

Drinks and ambience are exceptional, but the food is grossly overpriced. I can't remember the last time I paid 10 dollars for a taco. Service was average. For a more high quality and budget friendly option, consider Rosas Plane Food right next door.

Came here for a big family dinner on a Friday night - didn't expect the wait to be this long, but waited over an hour for a table. We came into town for an event and this restaurant was recommended to us for the "vibes" lol. The food was pretty good, but you can definitely tell that people come more for the vibes. We got different smattering of tacos/Tex-Mex food. MAKE IT A PLATE because the rice and beans and fun veggies. Impromptu belated birthday celebration - cake came with a sparkler! Cake was moist and not too sweet, yummy lemon flavor!

Very tasty tacos! Great prices and great drinks. Dessert of the chocolate flan was disappointing. It was dry all the way around and do not recommend. Taco for fish (tilapia), the tilapia was so tasty but could've been served in cut pieces versus one big strip. Portion was great, but would've been better diced served in a taco. Overall, food was portioned great, tender, and tasty. Service and ambiance was good.

We were visiting El Centro for a business trip and came across this restaurant. It's a solid lunch spot with good selection of cocktails, drinks, and an extensive food menu. We got 3 tacos (fish, barbacoa and tripa) and their specialty, the Chile El Santo -- which ended up being our favorite. The tacos were really tasty too. Definitely recommend if you're in El Centro.

How did this place get here? I was passing through on the way to Yuma and was fortunate enough to discover this place! Fun atmosphere with great food! If you're in the area, you definitely need to visit this place. It's an oasis in the desert. I ordered their signature stuffed Chile dish. Delish. Friends ordered the nachos, empanadas, and tacos. Also, delish. I don't think you can go wrong at this place.

After its recent renovation in 2024, D'Poly Taco Grill & Beer is the gold standard for authentic Mexican grub with both beautiful atmosphere and quality dining experience. Their menu is extensive with tacos, salads, burritos, and quesadillas. The wait staff here are extremely adept and friendly. I especially love their Alhambra dinner set, tacuache tacos and horchatita drink. I am a loyal regular here whenever in El Centro.

good tripitas amd carne asada camprchanos, not enough gucamole or salsas. the venue is not conducive to their restaurant. nobody sits at the counter to eat. the tables are not comfortable. tile floors and tall ceilings make it an loud meal read more

Had lunch here today after reading good reviews on Yelp. The place is clean and pleasant but nothing special. Service was slow although the place was not full. We noticed a guy that came in long after us was served about 10 minutes before us. We had 2 tacos and a beer each, the tacos came on a plastic plate wrapped in paper, with an assortment of salsas served in little bowls. Taste was Ok but nothing special, have had better tasting street tacos off a truck. The bill was almost $26.00 We won't be returning. read more

Whenever I travel to Calexico I would stop by their Calexico location for some wonderful tacos unfortunately they closed a few months back or a few years back I don't know. so I was really sad when I traveled to the area. to my luck I find that there is now a location in El Centro so I made the trek over to El Centro and I was not disappointed! best tacos this side of Mexicali! A little pricey but worth it in my opinion. I'm even willing to travel to From Whittier to El Centro for these tacos. That's how addicting they are. read more

This place is ok. I have been a few times. Locals seem really enthusiastic about it, but I felt like it was a little ho-hum. The food is ok, drinks really watery. Kind of pricey for what you get. Location is good and interior is cute and funky. read more

Absolutely love D'Poly. So glad we have one in El Centro now!!! We used to eat at the "newer" one in Calexico regularly. In my opinion they have the best tacos in the Valley hands down. Service can be hit or miss some days but the quality of the food is always top notch. This place does get crowded at times. We normally go as a late lunch to avoid the crowds. read more

If you are stopping in El Centro for a bite, driving up the road a mile from the freeway is well worth. Unexpected quality, great food, cool interior. Was hopping on a Sunday for a late lunch. We had California burrito (enchilada style), house special tacos and skirt steak salad. All were excellent. Because they were busy, service was a tad bit slow. read more

I am very impressed with my first visit here. It looks brand new, modern and elegant. There's a Beautiful picture of Frieda painted on the wall. It makes for a nice ambiance. The food is well portioned and priced. Tastes just as good as in Mexicali but without the drive! #winning read more

Visit about a Week ago. Some Older Guy was eating there, at first he was loud then he piped down. (Looked Maybe Homeless) Some guys kept giving a hard time. Old Man said politely "Sorry if you don't approved of me, I'm just trying to have a good meal" The Young Man walked away, kept 'Mad Dodging' the Old Man. Young Man came back 3 other times and gave Old Man a hard Time. Old Man talked softly again and again apologizing. Saying I get Harass on the Streets, now you also picking at me in the Restaurant. Saying if you didn't want me here Why did you let me in, Took my Order, then Let me eat. Young Man Pushed his Chest Out like the Rooster at a Fight. Old Man said you're Going to hit an OLD MAN Young Man kept telling Old Man he was calling the cops (He Never called) Old Man this said this is my Restaurant and order him out. Taking Old Man Plate of Food from him and tossing it in the Kitchen. (Could hear the plate slamming). Old Man asked his Food Service if she could put his food in a To-Go plate and bring him a Foam Cup for his Drink. The gal did. Really good, sold place, the tacos with all the fixings are good, can the meat stand on its own? A little salt/seasoning would put this place into the 5 star mark. Great little place with great tacos. Tried the asada, grilled chicken, tongue, and pastor tacos all with a flour tortilla (I did try a corn tortilla with asada and it was good but flour tortillas were better). My fav was the pastor tacos; with grilled chicken as second! Also tried the carne asada fries but replaced the meat with pastor, they were great! The salsas they bring make the difference, try them all! The chabela was one of the best I've ever had! My wife had the Chile rellenos app and she loved it and it was spicy since they probably leave some seeds. Would come again when in town. read more

I was a little hesitant coming to this place, another Mexican taco shop, but let me tell you so glad I did. Super soft torts bread, delicious Carne Asada chimichanga and very good Carne Asada and Carnitas tacos. Aside from the delicious food the customer service was even better. Prices are on point for the quality and taste of the food. Well worth it. I hope the owners keep up the great job. read more

Tacos are a little pricey but definitely worth it if you don't want to cross the border. The Decor is great and I love the Frida mural. My fiancé and I love their chabelas, they are some of the best we've ever had! We get ours with Negra Modelo and they are perfect. The service was also very fast and friendly, we never had an empty glass and they were quick to take away any empty plates or glasses. We will be back! read more

Honestly I expected a lot more from this place. A lot of friends were talking about eating here and how awesome it was so I decided to give it a shot! Recycled salsa platter. The salsa and side platter is a good idea but you could tell it had been recycled from a previous customer. The salsa rings in the bowls were down about 1/2 an inch down. Didn't notice until my husband used the same spoon to try all of them. Just makes me wonder who else has done the same. When we left, I made sure to mix them all so it wouldn't happen to the next person. Service slow. Food ok. They actually brought my chimichanga and waited another 5 minutes to bring my husband's tacos. read more
