I made an appointment for a Saturday morning to have my front door and sidelight refinished. The crew arrived right on time and began working immediately. They stripped off all the old finish and sanded the door & sidelight. They matched the old finish perfectly and it actually shows the wood grain even better than before. From the time I called D-Squared and spoke with Dave to the job completion I have been very surprised how professional the company operate. They arrived on time and ready to go to work. Russ explained how the job would be completed. They removed the front doors and placed a tarp to help keep the outside heat from coming in the house. They completed the job a little early. Jerry arrived promptly at 8:30 and got right to work. He took the door down and put up a very heavy tarp over the doorway to keep out bugs and keep the cool air inside. Jerry was a true artisan with lots of attention to detail. He used power tools and also hand sanded the door to ensure the imperfections were removed before applying the new stain. When he was done, I was most impressed. The door literally looks like brand new. I couldn't be happier with the quality of the work as well as the price. Excellent restoration of 8 year weathered door, which looked minutes away from being so sun damaged it may not have been salvageable. Dave and family showed up right on time, very cheerful and professional, got to work right away and did an excellent job sanding, staining, and finishing the door with some material that is expected to hold up way better than the original finish. It looks almost new. They brought it back to this beautiful finish, from near death's door, pun semi-intended. Couldn't be more pleased.
