New Update (8/25/2020) Company went radio silent. I expect nothing will be accomplished without legal actions. This is the end of my review and updates.

    Broken stem on champagne flute

I am mindblown at the unprofessionalism by this company and really regret using them. I used them to move me out of my old lease 2-3 weeks ago, to put my things into storage for me, to then move my stuff into my new apartment. I pay my hard earned money because I am a single, young female who lives alone and is willing to pay the money required for a great, professional moving company. As for my experience, It was the complete opposite of anything worth paying for. Here are several reasons why: 1. My movers were supposed to show up on the 13th of December to start packing my things away from the hours of 8AM-10AM. What time did they show? 4:30PM... And I had to be the one to contact them at noon to see where they were. 2. When they showed up, the guy who was moving my couch was literally sliding it on its side across my floor.. my brand new couch. He was the only guy moving it. No, just no.. 3. Not only were they late to pick up my stuff, they literally couldn't even fit all my stuff on the truck?! Why am I paying a moving company to move all my stuff if they don't even have a truck big enough to move all of it. I didn't pay them a ridiculous $1,300 for me to also have to shove a bunch of my stuff into my car to make 3 trips to and from Plano to Downtown. (Note: They showed up with a much bigger truck to my drop off location that would have fit all my things when packing my stuff from the old location. This was completely unnerving). 4. When they arrived to my new place, (which again an 8AM-10AM time window) they didn't show up until 12:30PM! And I once again had to call to see where they were. If that's when you start "packing the truck" you need to specify this to your customers because it's very misleading when you don't arrive with the timeframe you say that you will arrive. Its holiday season for me and everyone else, and I had a job I needed to get to, but I was made late because of their lack of timeliness. 5. Not only were they late again, they were arriving with most of my boxes very squished and some with punctures, but also WITH OTHER PEOPLES STUFF TOO. I don't understand or know how this could have happened but they brought another persons whole table, as well as their box spring.. to extend that thought, they also left some important things of mine at their warehouse or wherever they're storing peoples things. So now I'm out of my belongings and no one from DTown has called me to bring it to me or make the effort. 6. Along with the squished and punctured boxes, I found several glasses that were shattered and broken. If you know what a Reidel glass is, you know that those are $60 for a pack of 2 glasses. Mine are now broken and unusable along with a few others. 7. When the guys were getting some of my last few things, I was feeling extremely rushed. Almost like I was an inconvenience. I do understand that they were trying to hurry so I wouldn't get charged for another hour, but had they shown up on time and not late, I may not have felt like I was being rushed to finish. I completely understand the cost for storage and I'm 100% understanding of this. But when my movers from a year ago (who were not available for me this year and do not have storage options) moved me, they were very professional, timely mannered, took great care of my items and only charged $450-$500. This makes you start to question the integrity of the other company (DTown), esp. with my current experience. Roughly $1,300 later, I am feeling completely ripped off and for all the reasons I've listed above, and for all the photos I have attached.. I'd be willing to take this review down or even update it if I was compensated accordingly. Otherwise, I would not recommend. At all.

DTown movers left my refrigerator in my hallway because they couldn't so call move it.

DTown movers has been the worst moving company and experience by far. First, my appointed time was 3pm and they arrived one hour and 15 minutes late. Mind you it's Covid-19 and they have no mask or anything. Then they arrive with attitudes because they stated they didn't know they had another job. I scheduled a moving team of "3". One of the movers couldn't do his job for trying to flirt with my sister and talking and cracking jokes (Ron). These men knew nothing about moving nor had the strength to do so. My husband, brother, son, mother, sister and myself had to help because the inexperience or lack of concern for my items and the time schedule was beyond evident. When I mean help, I mean loading the truck and unloading the truck (hazard/liability in itself). They did Not cover any of my items when bringing them into the house or door way which is why my floor is all scratched up and walls as well. They dropped my piano and pool table. I had one of the guys call the manager, Edward, and I explained to him that I was pissed and extremely disappointed in the service and lack thereof that I had received. He stated he would call me first thing the next morning to rectify the situation because his guys didn't even finish the job. After not hearing from Edward by 11am, I called the office. I received excuse after excuse as I called multiple times that day August 27th as to why Edward could not speak with me. I have text messages to Armando on the 26th in regards to the issues and multiple recorded calls made to speak with Edward on the 27th. I have yet to hear from them. BBB will get a formal complaint and lawsuit to follow due to Dtown movers not being responsive or responsible. I wouldn't refer this so called company to my worst enemy.

First time ever with a moving company. They were extremely professional and when done I felt I had experienced the most stress free move of my life all due to Lorenzo and his crew. He was prompt with providing a fair quote and got us setup quickly with an appointment working with our short timeline and need for a weekend timeslot for our move. Total disaster. They charged me almost 8 HOURS for the exact same size move. From 9 AM to 4:45 PM -- are you kidding me? They didn't even start moving until around 9:20 or 9:30, and then moved like they were taking a casual stroll in the park. I asked them why this time was so ridiculously slow compared to the last two. Their excuse? "No elevator" at my old place and "your stuff is in small boxes and bags." That is complete nonsense. My new place has an elevator, and I used larger boxes this time to make it easier -- unlike the last move where neither location had elevators. And yet, that move only took 3.5 hours. There is no possible reason this one should take nearly EIGHT HOURS unless you're deliberately dragging your feet. And get this -- I even helped them move! I literally carried stuff myself while they moved slowly and inefficiently. When I brought this up to their supervisor, instead of acknowledging the poor service, he blamed me and said I had "too many things." Give me a break. It's a 1B1B -- and you guys have moved it twice before in half the time! I even attached a photo comparing the invoices from both moves -- one was 3.5 hours, this one nearly 8. Their supervisor had the audacity to say he'd refund me for 1 hour if I didn't leave a bad review -- that tells you everything you need to know. He knew it was shady but just wanted to shut me up. Avoid Leader Movers at all costs. They've clearly gotten lazy and greedy -- working slow just to pad the bill while pretending everything is normal. I'm furious and disappointed. Never again.

BEWARE - BAIT-AND-SWITCH PRICING!…read more I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent experience with this company deserves one. I chose Firehouse Movers because of their glowing Google reviews, and their initial estimate was very competitive. Unfortunately, the final bill was a complete shock. To begin with, they insisted on a virtual estimate and refused to come out in person and assess the job. This was a 5000 sq ft home full of furniture, and I wanted the most accurate estimate possible. I asked multiple times for an in-person estimate, but my requests were declined. By moving day, I had sold two-bedroom sets and several other large pieces of furniture that were included in the original estimate. Even with significantly fewer items to move, the final price was more than double the original estimate. On the day of the move, I somehow went from needing two trucks, as stated in the estimate, to four. And from 9 to 17 total man hours. At the end of a long day, my husband just wanted them gone, so he reluctantly paid the bill before they could log anymore hours. When I called to discuss the bill, Firehouse claimed I had verbally approved the additional associated costs over the phone, citing a recording, which was completely false. I have asked multiple times for this recording, but I have not received it. That was not a small miscalculation. Our move was grossly underestimated. This whole experience felt misleading and dishonest. Stay away.
