This is my side of the story. This set was originally supposed to be my birthday set for turning 18. I wanted a full mani, long, thin rectangle with a design. tell me why a grown man, while i try to explain the shape (and i do my own nails at home), gets frustrated and throws the nail file on the table and tells me to do it myself bugging me about expectations when i understand this isn't a nail tech or someone extreme yk? I've tried to explain many ways and times and i'm not a loud or aggressive person either. He then brings up what seems to be about how much i want to spend because i asked the price difference earlier that appointment. Genuinely, what does that have to do with that? i'm sorry you don't understand what i'm saying. The whole reason this isn't a one star is because every other time i've came here the women have always understood exactly what i was talking about and always an amazing service and conversation. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME/MONEY Deserves no stars, the place is dirty, with spider webs and broken chairs. The tech I had for a pedicure was rough and not properly done. They uncharged me for properly doing a soak off. POPPING OFF ACRYLICS IS NOT THE PROPER METHOD, it caused damage to your nail bed. read more

If I could give this place a 0 I would. I paid $80 for a fill in and a Pedicure. Seven days later, 7, all my nails popped off. I have no nails on now. What a horrible job done. I pay too much money here for them to not do an exceptional job! Last time guy cut my toe nail all the way down too short it hurt bad. I had to put Neosporin on for 3 days. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. First off before Covid I was a regular at D'Vine Nails and the reason I left was that one of the employees dropped a nail light on my shins in the pedicure room, didn't apologize and even started laughing. I had instantly bruised up and actually cried. Right there I decided I'd find another salon to give my business to, however my husband, unknowing about that incident, went and bought me a gift card for Christmas. Covid hit and everything was shut down. When I eventually decided to use my gift card, D'Vine wasn't at first going to honor it because all I had was the receipt from the gift card sale. They ended up deciding I could use it, but only in $10 increments, so basically they wanted to squeeze another $500 out of me by making me come to use my $50 gc, $10 at a time. SO LAME!!! This last visit was what did it for me and what brought on this honest review. The truth hurts but you did this to yourself D'Vine by being so f***ing greedy. I went in yesterday for a POLISH CHANGE and although I did do a fun design with jewels, when I got to the register they charged me $65!!!!! I looked up and they had this smirk on their faces as I asked them how they could charge me $65. They tried telling me it was because of the shape, polish and design. Even with those 3 things, (and I didnt even have them change the shape) it shouldn't have cost $65 dollars!!! That is a rip off and the reason why I will NEVER BE COMING BACK!!!! It's a shame that's how they treat their $30 tippers. I will also be sharing my experience on all social media and with ALL my Plainfield/Shorewood/Naperville friends. I wanted to like this salon so bad. The reviews were great so I decided to try it out. In terms of post-covid treatment, the salon is small and the waiting area is still chairs lined up touching each other, where they encourage guests to wait. When it was my turn, the nail tech tried to seat me directly next to another lady getting her nails done. The two tables are touching each other, with a thin plastic-like material as the only barrier to the person sitting 2 feet away. When you first walk in, they make you put on hand sanitizer. There is no screening questionnaire or temperature check. After proceeding with the acrylic fill with no chip polish, I was fairly pleased with the results. The only complaint is she started painting pretty far above the cuticle, which made it seem like the nails were grown out. After 3 days, two of my fingers had chipped. After making the 30 minute drive back to get them fixed, there was no kind of apology offered. When I asked for a gift card as compensation, I was told that they had fixed the nails for free and that's all they could do. Overall, in terms of sanitation, friendliness, and quality, I will not be returning to this salon. read more

Highly recommended!!! This will be my new choice in nail salons! I made a last minute appointment, because the nail salon I had visited earlier in the day was a terrible experience. This place was professional, understanding, and did a beautiful job on my nails!!! They didn't make me wait hardly at all. The other customers that I spoke with while waiting, told me that they go there frequently and have always had a great experience with them. I have three young adult daughters that I will be recommending this place to. Driving location was easy to get to and I parked right in front of the salon. No hassle at all! They also were able to help me repair a vertical split thumb nail and cover it with polish. You can't even tell that it is split! My nail polish goes down to the cuticles, just like it should. I don't even have any bubbles in the polish, which occurred at the place I went to prior to here. They took their time, making sure to file before and after the polish was applied. Skin and cuticle care was also done. I had a design put on one nail on each hand. My total was $40. I am a happy customer! read more

Appointments mean absolutely nothing. They just jam and jam people in. The guy (owner?) had the audacity to say "I use same tool kit on you as I did your daughter cuz you are family" exact words. Had mani/pedi's . Did a very short version of what he called a manicure while having pedicure done. He was standing next to chair and made us lean over to side to do both hands. We had 5 in our party. One would think that would mean something like more venue. Heck no. Very dissatisfied and disappointed. Polish chipped off 2 days later. Learned our lesson . Never again. Not sure if no stars is an option. If so that's what it would be. Probably the best pedicure I've ever had. I got the pamper me pedicure and I highly recommend this to anyone! The places was super clean, the staff was very friendly and the place did not have a strong nail salon smell. I have tried numerous places in the area for mani and Pedis and no one compares. I brought my grandma here for a mani pedi because she was leaving for a trip the next day, they got us in right away! My grandma is very hard to please and she gives this places 5 stars as well! I only had time to get a pedi this time but believe me I will be back next week for a dipping powder mani. It's hard to find a place that is elegant, professional, clean and friendly! My experience was so great I literally have been telling everyone how much I loved my pedi and make them look at my toes! I actually cannot wait until I'm due for another! read more

I've been coming here for almost a year now. I've had Pedicures (regular along with no chip) and Acrylics and know people who've gotten dip as well here. I have no complaints with Phillip or Tom. But both Tom (seat 1) and Phillip (seat 2) are excellent and extremely talented in their work and they stride in it and have me coming back every time. No other nail salon treats me as nicely as these two. I also get so many compliments on my nails from other people from my nails. If you come here, I highly recommend seeing one of these two. read more

This is my third time here. My first visit I had a great pedicure but my no-chip polish literally peeled off within the first week. It's winter, so I haven't been in any sort of prolonged water or pool where this could be an issue. I returned to have my polish fixed and decide to get a full-set of almond shaped nails. The tech I sat with was nervous, inexperienced, and when I asked if he was going to remove the remaining polish from me previous set he said it didn't make a difference. He began to shape them, and they were wide and not at all almond shaped. The tech next to him tried to reassure me that once the acrylic was applied, he would refine the shape. After literal gobs of thick acrylic were applied, I was not at all pleased. I was switched to another person to complete the job. She did a great job with regard to shape and polishing. My complaint is that I had them done on Friday, and by Monday two nails had completely lifted off, several others are lifting as well and getting stuck in my hair. It's Tuesday, I'm here to get them fixed and the owner is ignorant, telling me to come back, and that they are busy. I'm not against paying for them to be repaired despite the initial hack job, but this man doesn't value business nor was he at all interested in trying to accommodate me to have them fixed. It's unprofessional, and to be told to leave and come back without allowing me to fully speak is unacceptable. I have attached pictures to show the shape that I settled with. read more

My dip powder manicure started chipping and cracking 2 days after my appointment. My natural nails are completely ruin because of it.

I've been looking for a good local nail salon for almost a year, and I think I finally found it. Jolie was great. I'm very particular about my nail shape and length and she did great. I love that the salon is priced great and they had so many colors to choose from. I get gel acrylic with no chip polish. She took her time and it was only $36. Caution if they are buffing with the machine! I had a no chip manicure. A couple nails were breaking low so I asked for acrylic at the break to let them grow out. The tech totally filed off the acrylic so they started breaking later the same day. I went back in to get them fixed. Lots of confusion. Lots of waiting, which they should have helped me right away for an error on their side. Same tech handled and still didn't understand. A guy took over and I thought things are fine. Just getting my no chip off and one nail is ground down almost all the way through! I don't know how it will be to grow out. There is a huge divot in my nail and it is totally pink with the bed color showing all the way through. I'm afraid to even touch it. Apparently they make you suffer if you complain! Very nice place! The decoration is super, friendly service, clean and I liked it. But it's pricey! The basic pedicure "Spa" is $25, they only trim your toe nails, they put lotion, hot towel and nail color... The "pamper me" $38 they exfoliate your feet, they add serum to soften callouses, massage, trim nails, sugar scrub for legs and feet, hot towel, and color... There's 3 more,$42, $45, and $65... I now I can get the $38 for $25 down the street...the prices are high... Gel fill in is $28...I can get it for $18-$25 a block away. I hope they recognize that their prices are "city" prices and not Market based prices. Yes, I think I will be back even though I have to pay more, but it's because the location is very convenient for me. read more

Decor: this place is lovely!!! Designed beautifully. Look like a Beverly Hills nail salon. They have private rooms for waxing. As well as a separate section for pedicures. Service: Host at the front to greet people. The lady who waxed my eyebrows and did my pedicure was very nice. I'm pretty satisfied with my nails as well. One thing I didn't like it is the person who started my nails isn't the person who finished them. As well as, they don't have regular polish to match your no chip color. Price: I paid $75 total. A little bit on the expensive side. I feel like I paid for the location and the shop rather than the service. $38 no chip fill in. Guessing the extra $2 were for my cut down. $27 pedicure $10 for eyebrows Will go back because it's less than 5 minutes from my house. Let me start by saying, this place is decorated beautifully - a great place to relax while you get a pedicure in their open back room and/or get a full set in the front manicure area. The staff, everyone, is incredibly friendly. I went with a hot stone pedicure - I love a good hot stone pedicure and this was that. Very detailed care for my feet and pampering massage of my feet and legs. They were pretty busy when I went but kept things moving, while providing each customer with the care they deserve. There were even a couple kids getting their mani/pedis too. I will come back, for sure. P.S. Free wifi and complimentary water. read more

Came in on a Sunday at 1:30 and the place is pretty busy. I was asked to come back at 2:30 and so I did. Upon my return I still had to wait another 45 min and that's the only reason why I rated them a 4 star. Although the wait was long, I was glad I had my Fill/Pedi and brows done. Bubbles in the nail polish, chipped polish, half ass work, and they claimed they were unable to do designs on their nails. Also, when I went to pay I was told a higher price because the technicians shaped the nails "coffin shape" when I, nor the girls asked for that shape. Disappointed and I will never be going back. I decided to try out this nail salon based off of the reviews. Unfortunately, none of the technicians that were recommended work here any longer. From the reviews, that sounds like it's because they are under new management. Since I was already there, I decided to go ahead and let someone else service me. Tom worked on my nails for a gel no chip fill-in. I was content with the finished product, but it took forever. It was the longest fill-in (1 hour) that I have ever had. Also, in an effort to make small talk, Tom asked me if my hair was real (eye roll). He proceeded to compliment me on my hair, but that was a rude unnecessary way to do so. The location was very nice. Very neat and clean. Tom even offered me a beverage and gave me a large bottle of water. On the surface, it looks like a great place to do business. The services listed online unfortunately need to be updated. It lists that they do lash extensions and they do not. They also could use more staffing. They weren't extremely busy, but it appears many of the workers may be slower because they are new. They also set very improper wait time expectations telling people there is a 10-15 min wait when it's more like 30-45 mins. Overall, it was ok, however, I am still on my search for a new nail salon. read more

Came in at 5:30 on Saturday for a pedi. They were able to squeeze me in, so I didn't mind waiting a few minutes until someone was able to serve me as I didn't have an appointment. They were so nice and stayed so myself and the individual I came with could make sure our toes were dry. Very kind. Also, given that we were there until closing, we saw them cleaning up and wiping everything down. They keep it's really clean and neat. I appreciate that! 5% discount if you pay cash. Their prices are consistent, color selection was varied but by no mans comprehensive. Lots of red and pinks, fewer of the more adventurous colors. My reason for 4 rather than 5 is because for the same price, I can get a more comprehensive service elsewhere. The most basic pedi, is basic. Where other places I can pay the same thing, but get a stone massage with my regular foot massage. So for what they are actually providing in their service, I'd say they're a little overpriced. For needing a basic pedi it was perfect though. read more

They used to be really good! The price was right. I don't know what happened but the quality of service has gone way down. I came every 2 weeks for months to get my nails done. It's the one thing I splurge on. Unfortunately the last few times every one of my nails broke literally a day later. Which ok sometimes can happen. I work 2 jobs so finding time to come in is hard. They fixed them the first time, but they were all uneven, my pinky so short it hurt. When I said something about it, they said there's nothing they can do because it broke. So I'm like whatever I can live with it for a week or 2. But then not even a week later one of the nails broke in half halfway down my nail and it was so painful that anytime anything touched it it was like torture and another started to lift up. So I go back and they say come back in an hour. Unfortunately I have work in an hour, so I said I can't and ask if they can just fix the one. They say to wait. While I'm waiting few more people come in and they tell them to pick out color, not that there will be a wait. So I go and ask an update for time, cause I'm thinking I may have to go somewhere else to fix it cause if they truly are too busy to fix 2 nails, and I can't work with how much the nail hurts, I'm going to have to find another place. They suddenly have time to fix it. But now my nails are way uneven and different shapes. I'm sorry to say that it's looking like time to find a new nail salon. read more
