We have lived in Texas for 5 years and up until yesterday I was having my eyes checked by another eye care facility. My wife, who had used DVision in the past had been trying to get me in to see these folks. Yesterday after over a year of trying to schedule time off from work, I was finally able to get in there to see them. Now I feel silly for waiting so long!!!! Scheduling the appointment was easy. I did it online and was given a confirmation by text in less than 15 minutes. Unfortunately I made a mistake in scheduling. I texted the number back and specified my request and was sent another response in less than 10 minutes. GREAT SERVICE!!!!! DVision is a great place for eye care! Dr. Amina Ebrahim and her husband, Acky are great people. Very personable, knowledgeable and wonderful folks to talk to. The Dr. answered all of my questions regarding renewal of my contacts, made suggestions and made me feel comfortable with my final eye care decisions. Payment was easy. I received a receipt via text within minutes. A follow up appointment was just as simple. Scheduled immediately with a mutually acceptable time slot. During my short wait, while Dr. Ebrahim was tending to another patient, Acky and I had a great conversation about their practice, services, the community and best of all, the greatness of Chicago food options! (Giordano's deep dish pizza to be exact) Even though I don't wear glasses they had a very nice selection of frames and I would imagine they can order whatever style you desire. Ding Ding Ding! We have a winner! We've been in the DFW area for about 6 years now and had been searching for a permanent eye doctor. I've had decent experiences pretty much eveywhere I've been but each place left me wanting more. Sometimes more customer service, more personality, more information, more updated equipment...and I could go on. Dr Ebrahim's is very knowledgeable, but you know the old addage about not caring how much you know as much as knowing how much you care certainly rings true for me and the good Doctor checked off that box as well. I loved that D Vision used technology to improve some of the more annoying parts of the eye exam. There's no puff of air in your eye, just a gentle exam while your eyes are numb. There is still dilation but they take a picture of the back of your eye, which is much faster than the usual dilation exam. Dr Ebrahim is very pleasant and efficient. My exam was very in depth but the appointment was still faster than usual. I was also seen without any wait, which was a very nice change from the last place I went. read more

I choice Dr. Amina Ebrahim for doing my eye-check this year due to the high-star review at Yelp. But I had such a bad experience after visiting this doctor and her shop. Therefore, I decided to write the review and make you aware of her unprofessional practices. You may want to think twice if you have ever decided to see her. In other words, I strongly Do NOT recommend this doctor to anyone else and here are my reasons: (1) She refused to change my prescription. ... I learned that I could not see well with my new eyeglasses. Dr. Ebrahim refused to change the prescription. She said and insisted that the measurement (the math/mass) that she learned from her school was correct. I told her that when I pulled the glasses a little further, I could see much clear and better. Then she said that was because of the progressive lens. All the progressive glasses are like that and everyone had the same issue. I had a pair of progressive glasses and never had any pulling far away to see better issue until my eye sight changed. I was not sure what she was talking about. After all, I was the one who needed to have a pair of glasses to be able to see better. She was paid to provide me with the right prescription. But her hard-head and stupid-mind insisting her in sticking with her wrong math (the incorrect measurement) without caring if I could see well or not. She would rather to believe her own math/mass instead of listening to me by telling her again and again about not being able to see well with the prescription that she wrote. Although she did check and say that the glasses was made with her prescription, she still would not want to correct the prescription which would allow me to see better and clear. (2) Lack of urgency. ....Her time was more valuable than mine after she got paid. Since her business was not great, it was quite simple and easy to make the initial appointment with her. After the first visit then things got changed. It took about two weeks for me to get my trying pair of contact lenses. Then, I had to wait for days for her return to the office to order the contact lenses for me. After that, I had to wait longer than normal days to receive my order. And when I needed to have my prescription adjusted, I had to wait for another 3 days to be able to see. I only had 7-day limited time frame for me to send my glasses back for the correction. Now that, I already wasted for so many days and still had no result. (3) The bottom line is that Dr. Ebrahim needs to go back to school to learn more about her practices, It not all about her, it's all about meeting the needs of her customers if she still wants to be in her field. It is essential to provide the accuracy of the prescription to the customer as an eye doctor. It is OK to make mistake about the prescription. It is NOT OK to refuse to make the correction just because of trying to save the face or pride.. There were so many other negative points that I encountered with Dr. Ebrahim during my visits. I doubted about her expertise, her degree and her professionalism. Consider all the time and energy that I wasted with Dr. Ebrahim, I would still like to thank to my insurance company for allowing to be able to see another eye doctor for fixing my prescription. For those who gave a high review to this doctor, if you are neither her friends nor her family members, good for you. I was fooled by your review once, but will not be next time !!! read more
