The real issue was optical prescription. I took it to Costco to make lens. Upon receiving the new lens, my vision became a lot worse because my left eye could barely see anything. Opticians at Costco suggested me to go back to Key Whitman for an re-exam. The second time I had the same lady (not sure if she was a licensed optometrist). The exam equipment was ill prepared. The chart was not even in the center of my view. We struggled a lot with the machine to get through the exam. I took the new prescription to Costco. The optician saw the results and told me that it was impossible that two exams would yield such different results within 10 days timeframe. They strongly suggested me to get a second opinion from another optometrist. I later went to a new independent optometrist office, paid exam fee to get a new exam. This time, I noticed that in this other optometrist office, the service and equipment were day and night comparing to those at Key Whitman Allen office. Now I am wearing the new lens from the latest eye prescription and cannot be more happy with it.

Last year I was referred to her since my regular eye doctor diagnosed cataracts. Dr. Chu checked my eyes and said I was borderline needing the surgery and suggested I wait. I was glad she was honest and not just trying to get a patient into surgery to make $$. This recent visit confirmed what I already suspected, it was time ito schedule cataract surgery. I noticed that I was having trouble driving at night and was relying on my glasses a lot more. I've got a pre-op appointment scheduled and the surgery as well as the post surgery appointment. The office staff was friendly and very helpful. The office observes Covid-19 safe protocols. Masks required, temperatures are taken, a place for clean/dirty pens. I feel I am in very good hands here!i

I had long forgotten that this is indeed a beautiful world with so many beautiful colors before the surgery, but now, it feels like a completely beautiful new world to me. Dr. Larry Taub was so skillful that I experienced almost no pain at all after the surgery. I was able to go back to my normal routine almost immediately starting next day. He was very patient and understanding. He eased all my nervousness and worry before the surgery and he made sure everything goes right after the surgery in my follow-up visits. The staff of Dr. Taub's office are very professional, effective and friendly also. I highly recommend Dr. Larry Taub for anyone who needs a cataract surgery.

Both hubby and I have had cataract surgery performed by her (at her previous practice) and just love how she connects with her patients. She is an expert surgeon and takes the time to really explain all options and answer all questions. She is so approachable and we look always look forward to our appointments with her. The staff is equally as friendly and welcoming. Her new practice is inside the medical building next to the old Richardson hospital located on Campbell Rd near Collins Rd. Address is 399 W. Campbell Rd. She's located on the 4th floor. The office is beautifully decorated with a white textured wall at the reception area and with a predominantly blue color palette. Very soothing, with pops of orange color in the artwork and accents. We both are thrilled with results of our Pan Optic cataract lenses. We also both required a follow up procedure due to the uniqueness of our eyes. I needed a Yag procedure a few years ago and hubby needed his lenses polished post cataract. She even explained that the surface of his eye was similar to a raisin and needed to be polished to smooth it out. Now that's down to earth language that we can understand! We are so happy with Dr. Chu and you will be too!

I had to return to the store five separate times because of repeated mistakes with the measurements for my progressive and Transitions lenses. Despite multiple visits, the issues were never resolved correctly. What made this experience even more difficult is that I have mobility challenges. Every visit required a great deal of physical effort from both me and my husband, who had to push my wheelchair just so we could return to the store and clarify the ongoing problems. This was physically exhausting and emotionally draining. Most of the problems began with Kimberly. She made repeated errors from the start and recommended polarized lenses without taking the time to properly review whether they were appropriate for my vision needs. I trusted her professional advice, believing she had carefully considered what was best for my eyes. When Connie became involved, I hoped the situation would finally be corrected. Unfortunately, the measurements and service were still not accurate, and the problems continued. Throughout this process, my husband had to take on the responsibility of carefully reviewing every detail, asking repeated questions, and making sure everything was correct because we had lost confidence in the accuracy of the work being performed. In addition, I was disappointed by the way Kimberly spoke to my husband. Her attitude was unprofessional and discourteous, which only added to an already stressful situation. In the end, we accepted a full refund because the problems were never resolved. While we appreciate receiving our money back, it does not make up for the time, physical effort, stress, and inconvenience we endured over the course of five visits. We invested significant time and energy trying to resolve these issues, only to leave without a satisfactory outcome. I hope this complaint is taken seriously and used to improve the quality of care, professionalism, and attention to detail provided to future customers. No customer should have to experience what we went through.
