I had a little time to kill before going to the airport. What better way to kill time than to grab a quick workout, shower and relax before the flight? The facility was nice and clean and I noticed they have a mother's room fully equipped with a rocking chair and table. Just something random that I noticed. I have used this facility before and it is in a good location.

Wow!! This is the nicest gym I have been to in a long time. My son belongs and so while visiting he took us as his guest. The staff was very nice. The trainers would ask if you needed anything when they saw us looking for items. One helped my wife with finding some small weights that I could not find at all. If I lived in DFW area I would definitely belong. Tons of cardio, machines and free weight areas. We came on a Friday afternoon and stayed till the evening. The pool is like a resort with plenty of areas to swim or just sit and enjoy the sun .

Is child care provided at all?

They do not provide free childcare, but there are regularly paid camps for children to enroll in, and they have a nursing mothers' room with a changing table, toys, a rocking chair, diapers, and a sound machine.

I only had two sets left, mind you, and my sweater was on machine, I was getting ready to sit in it and use it, and the employee starts unracking my weights. I said "excuse me, I am using this and he said well we are moving it"! Never ever would this happen at 24 hour fitness or any other commercial big or small private gym. They know how to put their patrons first at those other places. IF he actually was taught to put members first, he would've let me finish the extra three minutes it would have taken me to complete my sets... never going back here. Or they could've put a sign to not use machine, like all other gyms in the world do. I have been a personal trainer all my life and never have I witnessed anything like what happened to me here today. If you're serious about your workouts and your time in the gym, don't bother with this incompetent staff that doesn't know how to put paying members first. What I experienced today is like eating at a restaurant and while you're in the middle of taking a bite of your half eaten burger, the waiter comes to your table and grabs your plate with your fries from underneath you. Who does that? LOL. But that is not the worst of it.. after the manager talks to me, the rude employee that kicked me off my machine (older man) comes over to where I am and rolls his eyes and tells me "get over it"!!! I've never been spoken to so poorly by a grown man. Shame on him for speaking to a lady that way. Zero respect, zero common sense, zero gym etiquette or know how. These people are running a joke of an establishment and their employees know nothing about serious training or why people actually go to the gym and yet they work at a gym. Canceled my family's membership and never going back to this dump.

The atmosphere gives the impression that if you are older, overweight, or simply not part of the young crowd, you are made to feel unwelcome and discouraged from coming in. Instead of treating all paying members with respect, the environment often feels selective, judgmental, and unnecessarily hostile toward older adults. :::writing{variant="social_post" id="46192"} As an older adult in my 50s/60s, I feel genuinely concerned and disappointed by the way my wife and I have been treated at EōS Fitness. It honestly feels like this gym only wants younger people under 30 and makes older members feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Back in 2023, I opened a membership for both of us during a promotion they were offering for around $10. On our very first visit, we were immediately stopped at the entrance and given a hard time. Because of how uncomfortable the experience felt, we verbally cancelled the membership on the spot and left the gym. We never returned after that day. Despite this, the cancellation was apparently never processed, and I continued being charged for months afterward until I finally stopped the charges myself. What makes this situation even more concerning is that this gym clearly tracks unpaid accounts and blocks people from entering if payments are not current. Their system immediately flags accounts if there is a balance issue. So it makes no sense that they continued charging and eventually claimed I was "in collections" years later even though we had stopped going entirely after verbally cancelling. A year later, my wife decided to give the gym another chance and opened a new membership under her name for both of us. Since then, almost every visit has become stressful. We barely even attend -- less than once a week -- yet every time we walk in, we are stopped, questioned, and treated as if there is always some kind of issue with our account. Meanwhile, younger members walk in freely without being questioned at all. After nearly a year of these repeated confrontations, it honestly feels like discrimination against older adults. We are paying members and still made to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome every single time we enter. On top of that, there were ongoing billing issues involving charges appearing in different places/accounts for the same membership, and despite repeated attempts to fix the situation, nobody properly resolved it. The final incident happened when I was suddenly told I was "in collections" over an issue from 2024 despite having an active membership that had been paid for almost a year. The employee who stopped us, Maddy Barrios, refused to provide any information about management or who we could contact to file a complaint. We repeatedly asked for a manager's name, phone number, or corporate contact information, and she refused to provide anything, stating that she was the highest authority at the gym. I truly hope the owners understand that older adults deserve the same respect and welcoming environment as younger members. Many people in their 50s and 60s are financially stable, loyal paying customers, and should not be treated as though they are unwanted at the gym entrance. :::

The concept: Hero Training is LIKE personal training and can make you get the kind of body you…read morewant. You can show them a picture of who you want to look like, body wise, and they will get you there. They will set you up an account and take before pictures and then take pictures of you like every month, I think, or 6 weeks (that part is foggy). You are supposed to be able to access your account (for some reason they never gave me my access info although I asked for it) so that you can look at your pictures. You should also receive a meal plan, which they try to say people pay $100 alone for that (I call bs on that one). This plan is based on your height and weight (I had to keep asking for mine) to help you get started on losing inches. A new meal plan is also supposed to be given to you every time you take new pic. (Never got my new one). Workouts: They have the women's work out and men's separate on TV screens through out the gym. On thing that I wondered was, if your trying to get an ideal picture body type (the way you want to look) then how are you going to do that by doing the same exercise everyone else is doing? Moving on, the trainers show you how to lift properly and have good form. It's kind of like personal training except that they have a few staff members walk around and help you as you go along. Everyday you workout different muscles. Monday's are leg days, Tuesday's you work on triceps and shoulder muscles, Wednesday work on biceps and back. Thursday leg muscles again... The music kind of sucks since they are always playing whatever music the trainers feel like, mostly rap and hip hop (kind of annoying to me but not a deal breaker). After a while you get the hang of how to lift properly and they don't help you so much anymore. They focus on the new people. So then since you have the knowledge of how to workout and lift, you kind of wonder why you need that gym anymore. Why pay $100-$150 when you don't really need their help anymore? The trainers are nice enough but they are a bit immature and gravitate to the young crowd. Financial part of it: The price wishy washy, they try to get you to pay $150 but then go to a $100 a month and try to act like they are giving you a great deal both times. Even their "special" pricing or "Black Friday" special is minimum $100 a month. They won't ever go lower than that. At the time there was no contract but you have to tell them a month in advance before leaving. So all in all its not a bad gym, it served it purpose. I just hated spending $100 a month when I could pretty much take things into my own hands without much help. I just felt like there were some inconsistencies with meal planning and not being able to access my account and the workouts not really being geared to make me look like that Pinterest model I so hoped to be like. In the end I was fit and lost inches and just purchased my own weights to do the workouts by myself. I could just never get rid of certain belly fat so I just used $100 a month to pay on Coolsculpting instead (yes that did work).

It's $100 a month, most people would gawk at that, but personal training and meal plan help are built into the membership. The last meal plan I purchased elsewhere was $150, and it was a generic low fat, eat chicken, fish and green beans kind of deal. At Hero, they showed me how to customize it, and make it more appetizing. The Coaches are always available to answer questions and help in any way possible. The workouts are designed to help everyone achieve their goals(99% of goals are, "I want to tone up" or "look good in a bikini"), and however closely you follow the plan determines how quickly you get there. The workouts are posted daily, men's and women's, they are not generic, but strategic to looking the way everyone wants to look. If you want to bulk up, you're going to have a different diet and supplement plan, if you want to tone, do the women's workouts and they will give you a meal plan for that based on your body composition. With that being said, I love the energy in this gym. It's always positive and uplifting, there is excitement in the air, and everyone is so helpful. I have 2 gym memberships, this one and a cheap gym In my area. Even after having memberships with Anytime, LA, and 25hr over the years, none compare to the atmosphere here. We filled all the necessary paperwork for payments to stop, according to the old employees. Payments stopped, as they should have. HOWEVER, 2 months ago, a year after she stopped going, we started getting charged again, unauthorized charges. I just caught it (payments are once a week). I contacted them, and manager said that the old employees had set the payment freeze to re-start again two months ago, so I just had to fill in a cancellation form (I guess they did not have a record of everything I had submitted, but that was not my problem), and as soon as I turned in the form, I would get a refund. Ok. Sounded fair. This morning I get an automated email thanking me for my payment! I contact the manager and he says he has not received the form and that is why I got charged. Several issues with all this experience: 1) If out of no where they were charging my credit card again, yet the person "signed up" was not showing up, why didn't they check where the discrepancy was? (Manager mentioned they are too busy and some people just enroll and do not show up, so I wonder how many of those people really know they are being charged, as this is not cheap), 2) If the manager is aware of the unauthorized charges, why allow the next charge to occur? Be very aware of your credit card charges with them. And they poor and unethical, and maybe even fraudulent business practices. Sad, because my daughter truly loved going there and was going to recommend to friends. That is no longer the case ...
