A very happy customer!
Sebastian J.

Fantastic dining experience last night. Matthew, the incredible server that took care of our family, really made our visit as seamless and enjoyable as it could've been; his recommendations and attention to detail should be studied by everyone in the hospitality industry. The salmon appetizer, the beet salad and the 3 different pasta choices that he recommended were all exceptional. And before I forget, the star of the show has to go to the tiramisu - absolutely amazing. We will definitely be back soon. Thanks again, Sebastian, Ivette & Nina

A recent group dinner to this beautiful restaurant in the heart of the Grove yielded a magnificent experience. The food was scrumptious. Everything we tried left us nodding our heads in delight. Our server and the rest of the staff were attentive, asking us if we wanted more of anything and refilling our water glasses. The standouts for me were the tuna appetizer and the tiramisu prepared table side. The lemon refresher cocktail is a must with its unique and satisfying flavors. Loved my experience!

This Italian restaurant made an excellent impression on me during my visit a few weeks ago. The inside of the establishment was decorated so elegantly and the service was great by our bartender/server Alex. The decor inside was formal and a bit fancy so dress to impress. My date and I originally sat at the bar and then moved to a table after a couple drinks. The margaritas were awesome too and if you have a chance to sit with Alex be sure to do so! We ordered the arancini appetizer, Cacio de Pepe pasta, and the meat dish that were all just scrumptious. The pasta was mixed table side and we were offered black pepper and extra cheese. I love an old school Italian soundtrack and white table cloth service. It was such a pleasant night and I would 10/10 recommend next time you're in coconut grove. Great spot!

Amazing Italian food and great atmosphere! Everything was fresh and delicious. A special shoutout to Mauro, the bartender, who provided excellent service and made our experience even better. Friendly, attentive, and professional. We will definitely be back!

POLPO ALLA GRIGLIA

Absolutely loved this spot! Service was excellent. Food was incredible. Ambiance was upscale family friendly. Perfect for a gathering or a date night. My favorite dishes were Polpo Alla Griglia, Tartare di Tonno, Mezzi Paccheri Ai Frutti Di Mare, Strozzapretti & Polpo and for dessert the Millefoglie Al Pistacchio and tableside Tiramisu.

Last night, we tried out Da Angelino, the new spot that took over where Eva, the Mediterranean place, used to be in the grove. Da Angelino was opened for the first time the night before and is owned by the Ariete hospitality group, same guys who own Ariete, Chuggs, and Taurus in the grove. The restaurant was pretty busy, which we were happy to see, but the overall ambiance came off a little tacky. Lighting felt a bit yellow and bright. Couldn't hear music, loud environment, good amount of kids around. This is all fine, just not the greatest spot if you're looking for something modern for date night. For an Italian restaurant in Coconut Grove, it just didn't feel super vibey. Host and server were very friendly. We started with an order of Aperol Spritz and the bourbon-Aperol Spritz (AEREO DI CARTA)--it had a nice sweet-tart balance and I'd definitely order it again. Then moved to the Artichoke & feta dip with fried-style bread--crispy on the outside, soft inside. Dip was tasty. Mini calzones--okay, but felt like something you'd pop out of your freezer at home. Not all that. Carpaccio de carne (beef carpaccio)--this was our favorite app. Fresh and sophisticated; you could tell some care went into it. Pasta with octopus ( STROZZAPRETI & POLPO) fresh octopus, tangy red sauce, very good. Cacio e pepe--superb. They toss it right in front of you with cheese, and it was definitely our favorite dish. If we come back, it'd only be for pastas (and maybe a drink)--we'd skip the appetizers. The vibe felt more traditional Italian, lots of older folks and kids, not exactly modern or trendy. Still, the pasta really redeems the experience.

Unbelievably YUMMY!! Excellent quality food and wonderful service. Great understated, elegant vibe. Marc the bartender is so accommodating and very attentive. He makes the beat espresso martinis ever. Try the lamb ragu; it is totally amazing! And it comes with a lamb chop. Very well priced at $24 for a large portion of the pasta and delicious chop. The arugula salad was delicious, very fresh and ample. We also had the Rib eye special which was Prime quality and worth every penny. You will not be disappointed. We can't wait to come back.

We stumbled upon this new spot in CocoWalk and it was an amazing experience. We sat at the bar and met the best bartender, L Muñeco, and the owner was sitting a few seats down. He took extraordinary care of us. We started with the cheese board, the whipped ricotta with truffle and the pistachio cheese were unique and delicious. We were given a complimentary carpaccio which was paper thin, the freshest olive oil drizzle. We tried two pastas and I couldn't decide which was better. The tiramisu was unique and constructed table side. I couldn't recommend this restaurant enough!

CHOCOLATE BOMBOM and MILLEFOGLIE AL PISTACCHIO

Had such a lovely lunch at Da Angelino in Coconut Grove. We started with the Vitello Tonnato, which was incredibly delicate and flavorful, then shared the Raviolo al Foie Gras--rich, perfectly balanced, and absolutely delicious. We finished with the Chocolate Bombom for dessert, which was the perfect sweet ending. Beautiful food, warm service, and a wonderful spot for a relaxed lunch. Definitely looking forward to going back.

Everything is good about them! Truly needed in the grove, not putting down any of our solid restaurants that still stand but, we need more of the fine dining standard. I must say they're up there. I was having absolutely NOOOOO expectations, I WAS READY for a wine glass and to critique! (That's the honest truth). Boy was I blown out of little pants! Our waitress/server was able to accommodate my order with pleasure and they were busy... just go try for yourself. Mr. Angelina is hands on... and very well versed on wines of all kind! A Must Return for me.

A Slice of Amalfi in the Grove…read more I wasn't aware Miami had a piece of the Amalfi Coast hidden in the Grove... Baia Blu is officially your next gourmet cucina italiana destination. L'Ambiente e l'Accoglienza The moment I passed by, I was met with the incredible calore of Maria. She gave me a tour that felt like a stroll through Positano. The aesthetic here is wonderfully eccentric; it perfectly captures that Southern Campania Italian soul. Between the limone lamps, the intricate fresco paintings, the lush vegetable wall, the Raffaella Carrà music playing, and the romantic glow of the patio, it feels like a secret trattoria tucked in the Grove. Servizio con Passione Maria owns her presence with such typical Italian pride, and the rest of the team follows suit. Ambrogio, Carlo, and Ernesto play their parts as typical Italian characters as well, charismatic and laid-back. They have that typical South Italian "easy-going" attitude while remaining completely attentive to every request. They truly host you like family. Il Sapore del Mare e della Terra The menu stays true to coastal traditions: * L'Antipasto: We began with an authentic, fresh Burrata Pugliese that complemented the focaccia perfectly. The cheese was incredibly creamy, blending beautifully with the tomatoes. Then came the Frutti di Mare, perfectly croccante (crunchy) with that hit of sea salt that makes you crave the ocean. * I Secondi: I opted for the Branzino Mediterraneo with salmoriglio sauce. It was so light and fresh, it felt like a true "catch of the day." I paired it with Truffle Fries that had a delicate, sophisticated scent. * La Pasta: We couldn't resist sharing the Pear & Gorgonzola Agnolotti. The gorgonzola cream sauce was difficult to resist to not dip it in the warm crusty Focaccia and perform the "scarpetta", we soaked up every last drop of that sauce! I had a taste of my friend's Swordfish (breaded alla Milanese), which was a great, protein-packed dish. Next time, I am definitely coming back for the Scaloppine di Vitello "Sorrento" with the lemon veal reduction; seeing them served so tender with those roasted Brussels sprouts made my mouth water. Il Dolce Finale You cannot leave without the Tiramisu. I'm usually not the biggest fan of this classic, but this one was a revelation, it was actually my favorite and paired with my legit Kimbo coffe. It even beat out the (also delicious) Pistachio Creamy Cake, which would have taken the top spot if only it had an extra punch of creamy pistachio spread to top it off. Baiablu is the slice of the Amalfi Coast in the Grove. A presto, carissimi!

We ordered the eggplant parm appetizer and for mains had the gnocchi and cacio e pepe. The service was on point. The staff were friendly and very attentive. It was a Friday evening and we did not have reservations but we were still seated. The staff told us that we would be timed and had to give up the table within an hour of being seated because they had a reservation coming in around that time. We agreed that it was fine as long as they were able to serve us our food within that time. Parking was a mission of course because most places in Miami are not easy to find parking for. I parked in a garage behind the restaurant but if you're lucky/patient/not in a rush you can probably find street parking. The food was pretty good. I would recommend this restaurant if looking for decent Italian food in the area. I also would come back if someone invited me or suggested an outing at this restaurant. The only other downside to this visit sadly had to do with the service. At one point as the sun was setting, my seat was the only one on the terrace with no shade, and the sun was B L A Z I N G and obviously very bright. And it was directly in my line of sight, and at one point I could not take it anymore and kindly asked one of the employees if it would be okay to move the umbrella in a slightly different angle so it could also offer me some shade. He declined my request and said it could not be moved because then the other guests would be uncomfortable. After a few minutes he realized that the other guests were also being affected because obviously as the sun is setting the light is moving and the umbrella is no longer serving its purpose, and then he moved the umbrella and fixed the issue.

To make everything better, the food surpasses the high standards of service without a question. Being a concept unlike any other in Miami, the late lunch/dinner menu is prefix with several options for sides, none of which you could go wrong with. The appetizers are the perfect introduction to transport you into the heart of Napoli, followed by the most exquisite bone-in Veal Cotolleta Miami has to offer. The location is charming, with a cute garden entrance, and the restaurant itself is set in a small house with both indoor and outdoor seating. It was fairly busy when we arrived. We started with the seafood appetizer. calamari and shrimp served with marinara sauce which was good. Fresh bread was also brought to the table. Our server, Veronica, seemed very busy. She recommended the mushroom truffle pappardelle, which I ordered, while my daughter chose the spaghetti pomodoro. When the food arrived, it was just okay, and we were honestly expecting more given the cozy, quaint atmosphere. My daughter's spaghetti was overly sauced and a bit overwhelming, and my pappardelle lacked flavor. My daughter wanted grated cheese, but our server didn't come back to check on us, so I eventually flagged down another server for help. I also had to get up myself to find pepper, as Veronica was still too busy to assist. The ambiance itself was enjoyable, and we really wanted to love this place. The pizza at nearby tables looked good, so perhaps that is a better option. However, between the long wait for our check, the lack of attentiveness, and food that didn't quite meet expectations, the experience fell short. What was most disappointing was the automatic 20% gratuity added to the bill, despite the service not reflecting that level of care. I prefer having the ability to choose the tip amount at my own discretion. Overall, we had high hopes, but the service and food quality would need to improve for us to return.
