Okay, this is a food truck in a gas station parking lot...but when I say with my *whole* CHEST, these are the best tacos I've ever had in my entire life, I mean it. The best! Well worth the drive over from wherever you're at because these tacos will change your life. The service is friendly - you order, and then they bring it on over to where you are parked. Definitely not authentic Mexican food, but it's soooooo good. I really didn't have any expectations, but I was hungry and a small li e was forming. I should mention, it was close to 5pm. The food that I tried was amazing. I had a few bites of the steak taco and the fish taco; AH-MAZING. I ordered a chicken burrito to try, but I was too full. I also ordered the peach lemonade. I'm not exactly sure what I was expecting, but it tasted like powdered Country Time Lemonade with large diced canned peaches and the syrup the canned peaches. The syrup sank to the bottom. I've been wanting to try this place for forever. Not only fantastic but also really inexpensive. I find myself spending $20 for lunch regularly these days. This was $13 including a homemade peach lemonade that was outstanding and surprisingly, not overly sweet. I got the three tacos for $10. The steak was my favorite, but they were all fantastic. The hot sauce is the best I've ever had. The 3 Tacos was way more than I could eat. I will definitely be coming back. read more

I came here for the reopening of the truck so we waited a very long time in line and to get our food but I was not disappointed! The tacos are soooo good! My husband and I ordered every type of taco they had available to taste which was the best. The steak was the best, then beef, then chicken. The chicken could use a little more seasoning. Unfortunately they were out of the shrimp by the time we ordered. We also ordered fries but it was just too much I wouldn't order them again and the mango drink we ordered was okay but nothing special. The area is a little sketchy since it's at a gas station so make sure to come with a friend if it's dark. I will always recommend this food truck! read more

I was so excited to try these tacos!! I was looking for a true authentic feel. The service was nice, it's a food truck the line goes by pretty quickly. I ordered the magic tacos, flour tortillas cheese the whole 9 two steak and one chicken and my greedy self NEEDED some fries. I think for sure next time i'll just order loaded fries, i wish they sold guac though . Tacos weren't my favorite but they were fresh and ingredients were seasoned nicely. You really don't even need the three tacos because two filled me right up! All in all, it gives ATL through the taco i can't explain it lol not bad at all. read more

Affordable and delicious! I dont really know what to call the flavor profile. Its an interpretation of mexican tacos and a good one at that. The meats have a different flavor than typical mexican but the rest of the taco is pretty authentic. Flour or corn tortillas cooked with cheese (like birria), cilantro, onion, sour cream and cotija cheese. You get a lot of food for your money especially on the fish taco, its huge. Their peach lemonade is really good too. The parking lot can get pretty packed but they are good about filling orders quickly and bringing your order right to your car. You can also order ahead and pick up. read more

Just tried the Magic Steak Burrito Solid experience all around -- the burrito was really good, filling, and packed with quality ingredients. Everything tasted fresh, and that crispy cheese took it up a notch. Great flavor from start to finish. Service was quick and smooth too -- didn't have to wait long at all, even with a steady flow of people. Best fish tacos ever!!! This food truck is located in the parking lot of the gas station right off the manor terrace exit of 20. You place your order and they bring it to your car once ready. If you go you have to get the fish taco it is fried whiting on a tortilla with sour cream pico cheese and cilantro good portion size and even better taste. They also have pretty good churros served with your choice of sauce. read more

I went here for the 2nd time 6-21-2025. First time I visited was a week prior. First time the older guy was sitting on a chair behind the food truck the door said open on the truck he had one shoe on one shoe off counting sheep ha lol so I left. This time is like night and day a whole crew of people running the food truck and bringing orders to your vehicle after ordering. The food is delicious and they have a great system set up. First timer, and I see why the cashier told me I'd be back. A lover of Tacos and often times feels like the best are further north, running errands and saw this truck had to make the stop while headed bk out the area. Good truck n a gas station park lot, know it's good lol Ordered the 4 for $10 and churros with caramel. Was able to request no dairy and advised everything made to order, and they would bring food to car. I realized so many people were enjoying in their car and luckily when I pulled up at 345 I. Barely missed the 4pm crowd. Everything was hot, and super fresh the portions were great. Plenty meat and extra hot churros, there was some dairy type mix inside the churro which took me by surprise so I just scooped it out! Can't wait to try more. read more

Currently my favorite taco spot in Atlanta! Located right outside of a Texaco gas station, this little taco stand turns and churns the most delicious tacos! Definitely try the magic tacos (3/$10) or the street tacos (4/$10). I'm a big fan of the fried cheese on the outside of the tortillas. It makes for a nice, salty, flavorful bite every time! I also like the texture of having a soft taco with something crunchy on it. Oh! And their salsa has a nice heat to it - not tooooo spicy but the perfect AHHHHH I need a soda LOL. Something that sets them apart from others is that you order and pay up front, and then they bring you your food to your car so you don't have to stand around waiting outside! Love it! Clearly I'll be a weekly regular from now on read more

I visited Magic Tacos on a Tuesday night, and it was clear I wasn't the only one celebrating Taco Tuesday. Located in the Texaco parking lot, this food truck is more than just a place to grab a bite; it's an experience. With two standing tables available, most people enjoy their food on the back of their cars, adding to the unique vibe. After ordering at the window, it did take a little while to get our food, but it was well worth the wait. The service was exceptional. The man working the food truck went above and beyond, delivering everyone's orders to their cars so we didn't have to stand around in the Atlanta heat. Pro tip: If you're in a rush, you can now order ahead on their website! As for the food, the tacos were delicious. Corn tortillas with fried cheese on the outside, flavorful meat, and fresh cilantro, onion, and lime. What more could you ask for? The food tastes great and it only took me 6 minutes to get my order. The flour tortillas are covered in cheese that has been grilled onto the sides of the taco. Yes yes and yes! Some of the best tacos and service I've ever had from a food truck! I've been here twice and both times the food and service is top notch! Both times I ordered the magic street tacos combo which comes with 4 tacos of your choice for $10 (like who does that anymore?!). I've gotten the chicken, shrimp and steak tacos, all bomb both times. I've also ordered the peach lemonade which on its own is also amazing and during my most recent visit I tried the churros which those two were on point. I've never really been the type to go for the fully dressed tacos like these are, I normally go for a good old corn tortilla, meat and some onions cilantro and lime, but these tacos baby! Get em how they come and you will not be disappointed. This is a food truck located in the parking lot of a Texaco and idk about yall but I'm not one to hang around at gas station parking lots lol. But for this spot I will make exceptions lmao. They also bring your order to your car which I find to be such a thoughtful detail that keeps me coming back. 10 out of 10 if you want some bomb a** tacos gon head and pull up to Da Cocinita! Straight fire. Everyone who works there is super friendly and considerate, the fare is simple, yet delicious, and prices are very reasonable which isn't common in ATL anymore. it's pretty clutch to be within walking distance from my apartment when I don't have the time to cook, and you'll never be waiting for more than 10 minutes. It feels funny to tell people that arguably the best food you can find in Kirkwood is tacos out of a food truck parked in a Texaco lot on Memorial, but I'd go to war on that hill. read more

I live in the area and have passed by this little spot so many times without ever really realizing that it was there. Now, I will add it to my rotation of regular food stops around the city. This little food truck is located in the parking area of a little gas station on Memorial Drive. Despite its unassuming look and location, it's quite popular. The staff is friendly, helpful and patient and the service is quick. I got the magic tacos - two steak one chicken. The tacos were flavorful; the meat was cooked just right and the accompanying sauce was tasty and provided just enough of a kick. I really loved the cheese crust that they put on the outside of the tacos that gave it just a little bit extra. (I prefer the steak to the chicken but both were delicious) I'm highly critical of taco spots in Atlanta because I think many restaurateurs treat it like a quick and easy way to make money but they fail spectacularly when it comes to providing good food . This place offers amazing food at a great price with great service. It's better than most of the overpriced, anglicized, designer tacos in the area. In fact, it's replaced many of my top taco spots around town. The only thing that would make this place better would be a brick-and-mortar with margaritas. read more

As you can see this place has great reviews for a reason! This was first time visiting this food truck and it was a great experience! Although the menu is very selective, each of the items are delicious. I ordered the magic quesadillas with chicken and the flavor was perfect. Location is easy to find, parking lot is a bit to navigate as it is a gas station. Service is friendly. We ordered a burrito(chicken), and two orders of street tacos(non magic style). *Burrito: the chicken is chopped so fine that all the other ingredients(I'm looking at you, fries) overpower the notion you have a protein in the burrito. I'm not a fan of the "magic" grilled cheese on the exterior. *Street tacos had great potential, as they were generous in steak portion. The only problem is the lack of moisture from the meat, kinda dry. We also ordered peach lemonades, that were served warm. Asked for more ice and received half a cup worth(shrug). I was craving tacos so I ordered off of Uber Eats. That was the best decision I've made in a while. The tacos were absolutely amazing! I'm definitely going to have to visit the food truck. On a vastly hungry evening from an exhausting but productive work day, Da Cocinita Magic Tacos saved the day. This food truck was on my list to eat before I flew into Atlanta and I was elated to know it was extremely close to my AirBnB. Let's get into the word patience which's the exact word to describe the guy who took my order over the phone. I want to say he was the owner but we will get into that prediction later. The hangriness took over my mind and eyesight as I ordered everything that sounded appealing to my stomach. The person on the other line answered each individual question and concern I had with a sense of passion and PATIENCE. That's when I knew I was in great hands and couldn't wait to grub down. The list of food I ordered were the Shrimp Street Tacos, Fish Magic Tacos, Magic Quesadillas, Chocolate and Caramel drizzled Churros. All were boxed separately. Much appreciated as I don't like my food touching! Never have and never will! The first things I tasted were the churros. The freshness were still lingering after toasting them for a few seconds. The churro filling melting into my mouth, with each crunchy bite, while licking the sugar off my finger tips. Would you believe me if I told you the food gets even better? The second thing that did stand a chance were the Fish Magic Tacos. I respect they didn't skimp me on the fish. Normally places will break down the fish or cut it in half to save money. Not Da Cocinita!!! Do you see the size of the fish in these corn tortilla? Flaky, Crispy, Mighty, Spicy...shall I go on?!?! Now I did savor my Shrimp Street Tacos and Magic Quesadillas for lunch the next day. Hands down the best decision I made for lunch. The joyfulness I felt when it was time to eat. I reheated both food items and I can say the freshness never left that to-go box. The shrimp street tacos were small as it was on a corn tortilla. I could have eaten more than three but that's were the magic quesadillas come into play. The Magic Quesadillas were everything but dry! The amount of protein and cheese excelled my expectations. Visualize the precise balance in a cheesy bread with added stuffings of protein. Highly recommend the food and service! Hoping whenever I return back to their truck, it will be more ambiance pertaining to seating incase a customer doesn't want to get their food to-go. read more

These tacos will blow you away!!! Not only with the taste, textures and quantity, but the price too!!! 4 steak street tacos for $10!!! 3 "Magic Tacos" for $10!! (They are larger than the street tacos) OMG!!! They put cheese directly on the grill BEFORE putting your tortilla down....This takes the tacos to a whole new level. Some of the best street tacos I've had in Atl! I felt like I was I on vacay enjoying these. Definitely replaced my favorite spot on the east side. I got 4 for $10 tacos (2 chicken + 2 steak). Here's a breakdown of what we got each time. 1st visit - El Rey Del Taco Parrillada It's meant to be shared with two people, and comes with a pound of beef ribs, your choice of chicken or al pastor meat, six shrimp wrapped in bacon, with melted cheese and chorizo, plus tortillas and charro beans. It was just as delicious as it sounds. 2nd visit - Tacos The pastor con queso and the shrimp al pastor with cheese, onions, and al pastor sauce. The space is pretty tight, and you're going to be close to the tables near you, but we were able to sit comfortably. Our server came over quickly to take our drink orders, and afterward she came back to answer any questions. Most of the food was ready at the same time. We appreciated that it came out as it was ready and wasn't left sitting. And everyone enjoyed the food! The only "complaint" one of my friends had was that she thought there was a little too much sauce in her shrimp and grits dish. She felt that the sauce, while it tasted great, overpowered the dish and she would've liked to taste more of the grits flavor. The line was long and this will likely be the case a lot of the time so this doesn't work well. My daughter had a special order of beef taquitos that had to come out later so you know her sides were cold. When she requested new sides or to warm them up she was met with an attitude by one of the workers so that didn't go over well. This was weird to us because the food shoud be warm at the very least, so customer service was lacking there but they did honor her request. If they are going to keep this cafeteria line style setup, we all thought the meats and entrees should be first and then sides so as to avoid having lukewarm or cold sides because all four of us had cold sides by the time we sat down after getting get our drinks and sauces and stuff. And sides should come out together with the special orders so the food is not cold. But hey, I know I'm not Lewis, but yall got my two cents anyway Overall, we had delicious food in a nice, clean establishment. And on the plus side, the Beltline is literally a few steps away!
