Real Tacos was a great late-night stop and definitely lived up to the hype. We both ordered the $10 taco meal (with a small $2 upcharge for some premium meats), and the value was excellent. I had the chicken and beef birria tacos with consommé, cilantro rice, and black beans. My partner went with the steak and al pastor tacos, Mexican rice, and refried beans. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned, they definitely don't skimp on the fillings. The margarita flight was also a fun choice and a great way to try different flavors. We noticed they also serve huge shareable cocktails and oversized shots that looked like a blast for groups. The atmosphere is lively, especially later in the evening, with a younger crowd and a fun, energetic vibe that makes it a great spot to hang out with friends. The only thing that rubbed us the wrong way happened right after we were seated. Chips and queso were brought to the table, and we naturally assumed they were complimentary, similar to chips or bread at many other restaurants. After we had already started eating them, our server came back and took them away because they weren't included. Our waitress was otherwise friendly and provided good service, but that initial interaction felt a little awkward. A quick heads-up when placing them on the table would have avoided the confusion entirely. Overall, the food, drinks, portions, and atmosphere were excellent, and that small misunderstanding wasn't enough to take away from an otherwise fantastic experience. First time visiting Real Tacos and we came during the Christmas season--such a great choice. The holiday decorations were on point and gave the place a super fun, festive vibe that immediately set the mood. It was definitely busy (which honestly says a lot), but the food was absolutely worth it. Everything we tried was really good--flavorful, comforting, and clearly made with care. Rreal tacos can do no wrong in my eyes. I've been to a lot of their locations in Atlanta and the food is amazing every time. I've gone to this midtown location several times as well. This location has a small intimate vibe so the wait times can be almost an hour or longer if you don't make a reservation. Came here to enjoy happy hour after work last week. I do enjoy the aesthetic. This restaurant brings when it comes to the holiday decorations. I do feel as if this would be a great place if you are wanting to bring any of your friends or a loved one for a fun holiday date night. When we went, it was a little busy and we did have a large party being that there were quite a few of my coworkers. Therefore, service I wouldn't say was intentionally slow because I do feel like they were trying their best. I just wanted to point that out in case you do come with a large party. But overall, the customer care I think was pretty solid. I ended up just ordering some drink drinks and they were delicious. A little on the strong side, but of course that can be subjective. I've had some of their food and appetizers before so I can definitely say that they do have tasty and flavorful food. I just did an order any this time. As far as parking, it's located in the parking deck that you do have to pay for. However, they do have an hour and a half to I believe maybe two hour parking voucher. So you already know how this Taco spot is. This one has a really nice ambiance, has indoor and outdoor patio seating, and it's still just as lively. You can have to find parking on your own. It's not going to be free most likely, so just keep that in mind because remember you're in midtown. The wall of of alcohol is immaculate here, but I think that all of the walls of bottles are pretty dope and all of these locations. But the ambiance is really good. The last time I went they had Halloween decorations up so they really get into the theme. A nice location, but it does feel like it's a little bit smaller or cramped. I don't know if they put the table so close together to where you feel like that but that's the only gripe I have with this one, the tables seem like they're right on top of each other so you could extend your elbow and touch somebody else lol. The indoor is nice, the outdoor patio area is very large so it's almost the same size as the inside. So you have some options and it's fully enclosed so you don't have to worry about the weather. I like all of these establishments just in general so I don't have any issues with them at all. I usually go for the pork belly because it's to die for to me. On a recent trip to Atlanta I decided to try a few places that were on Diners Drive inns and Dives. I was lucky to be staying in a hotel very close to Rreal Tacos. The place is excellent, an oasis is a busy midtown. I sat on the patio and was comfortable. I had a magnificent mango margarita and 2 killer tacos. Korean chicken and Asian rib eye. This place has been on my list for quite a while. After seeing them featured on DDD's a while back, I knew I had to get there at some point. During an unexpected layout caused by recent ice storms, we finally had the opportunity. I am sure glad we did. I think the weather kept most people away, but the place was still pretty full. Some people even choose to sit outside in the "enclosed" patio area. Most of them got 14" tall margaritas to keep warm. Both the food and the service were amazing. Two separate managers stopped by our table to make sure everything was going well. Slow than usual night? We tried the elote corn appetizer, a chicken burrito bowl, and four tacos (al pastor, shrimp, barbacoa, and picanha steak). The only change I would make is the order in which I ate them. The picanha, which I saved for last, should have gone first. It was so juicy that the shell could not stay together when I finally got to it. Like I said, everything tasted wonderful. I tried all three of the house sauces, and the "MAS HOT" is defiantly that. Both the mild and regular hot were delicious (without causing lasting damage to your taste buds). Went there for lunch and it was a true experience. We ordered the Trio Apperizer and extra chips and by the time the food came I was basically full. I ordered the Quesabirria and it was good. I was just so full that basically took it all to go. The real party was the Flavored Titanic. When you order it, the waiters ring a bell and bring the margarita flight with sparklers at each end of the long wood which has the 12 margarita shooters. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. I've been to rreal taco numerous times. It has yet to disappoint me. I've been for the Halloween festivities, cinco de mayo, and most recently the holiday menu. I loved the food and ambiance. However the two hours validated parking soured my experience since we received a $55 parking ticket for exceeding parking 1/2 hour over the validation limit. I thought we would be charged 1/2 hour of parking at the regular rate since there was nothing on the parking validation that warned a parking ticket would be issued if the two hour limit was exceeded. I have disputed the parking ticket with the out of state owners of the parking garage listed on the parking ticket. I also emailed the address provided via the QR code and they requested I pay them $20 to get the ticket dismissed. If you decide to take advantage of the 2 hours validated parking make sure you return to your car within the time limit to avoid receiving a parking ticket. read more

Pretty good taco spot in midtown! I went around Halloween season, and they were fully decorated for Halloween. Stepping inside the restaurant was like stepping into a Halloween house - I have never seen a restaurant decorate this much for Halloween. I split the chips and queso with a friend and got the Al paster and shrimp tacos. The shrimp tacos were delicious, and the Al paster taco was just ok. I visit this place for lunch a lot, and while I love the food, I can't stand the atmosphere. With that being said, I have stopped eating here recently due to what I'm going to describe below. But first, the food. Each taco is about $4 - $6, and the tacos are good. I always get the Birria taco, Consomé, and elote. I can honestly say I've never had better elote anywhere! The other items get a little pricey, but there are a lot of shareables, great cocktails, and often the establishment is decorated around holidays (their Halloween decorations are awesome!). Ok, now for the reason I stopped going. It is always loud inside, even at lunch time. Most times it's too loud to talk. The service is always horrible. You wait forever for your food, forever for a server to come by, and drinks are never refilled. This inside is small and it's hard to move between tables. It doesn't feel cozy, it feels crunched. The worst part - the app that you use at the table to scan for the menu (it's all contactless) and then use to pay. The app is complete trash. Since it's a common frequent for us bunch of coworkers, we're always paying individually, which sounds like a great reason to use the table side app, right? WRONG! The app can't do basic math and it never splits the bill properly. It shouldn't be hard since the bill is an itemized list, but every time it says we didn't pay for items that we did indeed pay for. I can't tell if the restaurant is running a scam or their app really is just that bad. My advice would be to not use the app, pay the server in one bill (if you can track a person down), and figure the rest out later. Reasons to visit: great tacos and cocktails. Reasons to stay away: consistent poor service and stressful vibes. read more

They have indoor and some outdoor seating. It was really loud inside, so if you are looking for a quiet venue this isn't it. They feature a large bar with a huge / tall wall of tequila, etc. As this was a work lunch, we skipped that. However, if you are here for drinks, they definitely have you covered. You scan a QR code and get the menu on your phone. They had a good variety of dishes, but that day we mostly went for the individual tacos (maybe they had a make-your-on-combo deal?). This seems to be a new trend in the newer beyond-TexMex places. My 2 tacos were both tasty. We split an order of chips and salsa for the table - this is a paid appetizer here, and not just free with the meal. We had walked here, but there is street parking nearby. You might have to venture a couple of blocks to the east and park in a neighborhood, at worst. I don't think the restaurant had its own lot, though. I would consider returning here for another meal. read more

Went on a random Thursday night. The parking is not the best. They have spots in front of the location but are not validated. They do validate parking is a parking deck nearby. There was a wait as it was quite packed. We ended up taking a seat at the bar. Our orders were quickly placed and food arrived soon after. The chicken burrito was delicious especially with their in house sauces they have of mild, medium, and hot. I recommend for a quick meal and tastes pretty decent every time.
