This venue is inside of a gas station. I like to shop for drinks and chips as I wait for my order. I really like coming here. The venue has really good birria tacos. I got 3 birria tacos and it was very flavorful and filling. The gordita is a fried tortilla cut in half and stuffed with beans, lettuce, and protein. I ordered the chicken and it tasted great. The salsas are good as well. Red salsa is very hot and green salsa is pretty mild.
This place continues to please. I've only ordered delivery and understand it's attached to a gas station, which I can't imagine because the food is devine, flavorful, and fresh. Pictured is the picadillo quesadilla which might be my favorite thing ever. The portion sizes are very good as well.
The food is always great! My favorites are the asada street taco, steak birria and camarones birria tacos. I've had the pollo, it's a shredded chicken not bad. I've always tried the fish street taco, I prefer the shrimp. The shrimp quesadilla is 10/10! We tried their onion rings, black beans with queso and their rice, the rice was perfection! A must try. They were out of desserts but next time hopefully we get to try them.
A solid spot, but imo it's just okay taste wise. The burritos are filling and big. We got a steak burrito and a barbacoa burrito. Both were pretty good but the barbacoa was the winner. We also tried to the pulled chicken birria taco and it was okay but not the best I've had in ATL. Staff are friendly and food came out quickly. There are two tables and a few stools inside. It's actually nice to have it attached to the gas station bc you can buy drinks and snacks to go with the stuff too (the restaurant does have some bottled water/drinks as well). I'd recommend this as a quick, relatively inexpensive lunch spot!
Definitely a great find! This place is located at a gas station so you wouldn't think to go here, but it's definitely worth going. There's some parking shared by the gas station and laundry, and it wasn't too difficult to find a spot. It's a quick casual spot. There's some seating inside but it seems like most people take to go. Their tacos were freshly made and delicious! The hot sauces they had on the table were a great pairing. I got the asada taco and the beef was very savory and juicy. This place is also inexpensive! Tacos are roughly $3 and a decent size. Definitely would recommend going here!

These are some of the best tacos I've had in Metro Atlanta. Everything was fresh and prepared to order and however they heat up those corn tortillas make them so delicious. The fish tacos were definitely the highlight of the meal.
So it's inside of a gas station and a convenience store and next door to a laundromat. Place that you would never think that would have a restaurant but, maybe you would lol. So it's kind of tucked away but if you know what you're looking for you'll find it. At the time that I went the sign didn't have any wording on it because of the weather, so you have to kind of know where you're going. So it's a convenience store and a gas station so you have plenty of things that you can buy to drink and eat like, if you wanted to get up beverage while you were waiting for your food. The grill isn't super large but that's okay, it's just the right amount of space. As far as a seating goes there are really not that many seats there, so you probably want to do carry out. There are some longer areas that could be tabletops and then are a couple of tables and boots, but only a handful. So if you're trying to come and sit down with several of your friends, this may not be the spot for you. I got the wings, and fries, and a beef birra and a steak birria taco. I order and waited so I know that it was fresh and right off the grill. The fries were heavily seasoned. They were a little bit soft because of the temperature that they were put into the Styrofoam so it probably didn't help but I'm not going to take off of that because that's just science. But they seasoned the hell out of them, they were good and they didn't actually need ketchup. The wings were okay, But at the same time I feel like they were too salty. There's one thing to have seasoned wings but there's a whole other thing to have nothing but sodium from the lemon pepper. So I probably would not get the little pepper flavor again honestly.. I wish there a little more crispy but there was probably because of the same reasoning that the fries were not as crispy (so can't take off for that). The tacos came with all of the trimmings that you would expect a birria taco to have. Came with the dip In a couple of sauces as well. But the dip was so good that you didn't actually need any salsa or hot sauce with it. I would get those again. Overall if you want a quick stop off in your own Buford highway, this seems like a be a good spot to get some tacos!
This is a hidden gem as many ppl know it. and it really is. it is a humble place next to a gas station , attached to a mart. cute seating area though not many. but the cashier was so nice and patient with us. i loved how we could get plates, bowls, to-go boxes ourselves. serving zabiha halal (beef) in the authentic mexican way. their birria tacos are actually SO GOOD. we ordered ahead and we reached in 20 mins and it was all ready. we got a pescado bowl (fish bowl) so flavorful. really all the food was so flavorful and hearty. the nachos though are my favorite. the asada nachos are a steak nachos and it, in my opinion, has more flavor than the picadillo nachos. but both are so good. the chips are crispy, flavor, fresh lettuce, the beans are so good.
The Service was nice the lady at the register was very pleasant and welcoming. The issue is the food. She did prepare my food as well. I am not sure if that is normal. It is not even remotely close to amazing Mexican food like I saw online. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and Birria. The Consumme was nice however the Birria was in a flour taco shell when it should be corn and was not dipped correctly so it was VERY dry. The meat inside does have nice flavor though. It also was not cooked to any kind of crisp so it was somehow dry and doughy to taste. The quesadilla I'm sorry to say was terrible. Completely bland chicken with spicy salsa mixed into it and the tortilla (also flour although that is expected with this item) was also somehow undercooked and bland. The chicken may have been better if it wasn't shredded. Unfortunately, this is a place I wouldn't go back to and wouldn't recommend. Although the prices are great and the location is fine so maybe just try it with your own taste buds. I however have had better options. I should emphasize I am from the Midwest and my hometown has a Mexican town area so my expectations of good food is kind of high.
I ordered takeout from here while visiting ATL. Uber Eats suggested the Barbacoa Burrito as the most popular item. I tried that along with the birria tacos (beef and chicken). Among the three, the beef birria tacos were the best by far. The consome they offered with the tacos was also very delicious. Overall the food was flavorful and tasty. I would try them again! Note: Everything is halal.
This place was so good! Service was really quick, and even though it was inside a gas station, the eating area was clean. I got a tostada, a birria taco con res, and a chicken tamale. All of the food was really good and tasted fresh! I'm deducting one star because I felt like the flavor was lacking just slightly, and I had to supplement my food with a decent amount of sauce.
If you're looking for birria tacos in ATL you HAVE to go to Salsa! Located right next to Shell on Buford Hwy, there is a small walk up counter to order at and a couple of small tables and seats for parties of 2 or less. I got a barbacoa taco and a chicken birria taco while my boyfriend got 3 birria tacos for a cheap total of $23 after tax and tip. The food came out super fast and we were in and out in about 10 minutes. The barbacoa taco was pretty good but not spectacular, but the birria chicken taco was AMAZING!! I loved the soup for it and the salsa was spicy and flavorful. Portions were also massive for the price point and I was completely stuffed after eating both tacos. Since Salsa is about 10 minutes away from my new house, I will definitely be coming here more often in the future to get my taco fix!
Halal tacos in a small store in a gas station - how can you get more authentic than that? The meats served here are all halal, which is great! I got the beef Birria, steak Birria, and barbacoa tacos. The consommé itself was a little watery and tomato-y, but the tacos themselves were of decent quality and flavor. The beef Birria was better IMO than the steak, which was a little chewier. The barbacoa was definitely hands down my favorite - out of them it was the most flavorful and tender. The salsas they gave on the side were good too - spicy, tangy. The seating in the store is very limited (only a few tables, not well spaced out), large groups would be hard to accommodate. read more
I think I saved this spot due to some friends recommending it. Pretty decent food for a gas station spot. The hubs choose x3 shrimp birria tacos while I had the beef birria quesadilla. I believe the meats here are halal. The crust of both the taco and quesadilla were crispy and had a nice cheese crunch. But trying other birria spots, these were okay. Good but nothing that would wow. The consome dip was actually pretty watered down. I know places make them differently as I've had versions with meat bits in them and another with rice. But their version was just watered down. The shrimp ratio was pretty sad. The beef is actually more bang for your buck. Though I didn't truly count the shrimps, there were about 3 or 4 of those baby shrimps. They didn't look nor tasted like they were doused in flavor. The shrimp was just so so. Sort of bland in taste imo. The beef had a nice kick of flavor. There was a good amount of beef to my surprise. Another friend's beef taco version looked like it was stuffed with meat as well. There was just ample seasoning and flavor with the beef. Psst. If you're thinking x3 tacos vs x1 whole quesadilla, go with the quesadilla. You're sort of getting another piece since the quesadilla is cut into four quadrants versus just 3 tacos. Though it's a different form on presentation, you're going to be getting more for the same exact price. read more

I am going to lead with an apology ! ...... I just don't get the hype, I am sorry! My nieces friend who currently resides in DC, but once lived in the Atlanta metro area told her this spot had the BEST tacos in the city! I am on the hunt for a new favorite Mexican spot so I was willing to drive across town to check this spot out! I went on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant is located inside of a gas station. They have a few tables for you to dine at in the small area that they occupy. I ordered 2 regular tacos, a chicken Birria taco and a side of black beans. The lady at the register was friendly and also served as my server when she brought the food to my table. The tacos were just tacos! Nothing stood out about them. Additionally , the black beans were just black beans. Overall it's a spot to check out if you just need to get your belly full. It's not bad, just not memorable. read more

This is probably going to be our new taco place moving forwards. We called in a to go order and it was ready within ~15 minutes and freshly off the grill. Workers are all masked Soft tacos- tried the steak, fish, and shrimp. All were delicious and ~$3 each. Steak was definitely my fav. Birria tacos- beef and chicken ones were both delicious and came with consumme. ~$4 each. Wouldn't say I preferred one over the other in terms of flavor Heads up- the hot sauce is really good but definitely spicy read more

Baby !!! I love this place somebody auntie back there putting her foot in this food !!! It's sooo good !!!! I found my spot I drove almost 30 mins here but it's worth it ! The outside may not look appealing it's in a plaza with a laundry Matt and and a gas station it's attached to a little store if you where driving by you probably wouldn't stop but you should ! It's really small inside there are places to sit and eat but not many ! I'm so glad I found this place best birra tacos taste homemade! Love the chicken tamales!!! Try it you won't have any regrets read more
It's attached to a gas station, on the left. Pretty hidden. Park in the gas station parking lot. It felt clean with only enough seating for 10-12 people, so it's probably better for takeout. I got the two Birria de Pollo tacos ($3.49 each) and one Birria de Res taco ($3.99). They were really good! Three tacos was plenty of food. I tried the Chips and Salsa ($2.99), but I don't think it was worth it. The chips were a little too hard for me. My friend got the Tres Leches for three of us to split and it was delicious. It was good and I'm glad I tried it, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. read more

Today was the day that The Most High (Allah) blessed my soul in a most delectable way... I researched restaurants that had birria tacos. I found this precious gem (Salsa Taqueria) on Yelp and I had to take a trip and see what the rave was all about. My daughters and I went for lunch today and I didn't know what to expect. I was excited and hungry at the same time. I placed our order and I was so pleased with the customer service and we only waited for a short period of time for our food. Our food was brought to the table and after praying over this lovely looking meal, my taste buds were taken in so many places at once. The plates the food were served on were so vibrant and alluring. The food was so fresh and satisfying- I was thoroughly impressed. This spot is clean, small and fantastic all at the same time. I highly recommend this restaurant! read more
I was hesitant to try this place but boy oh boy am I glad I did! Shrimp birria tacos were AMAZING and the regular shrimp tacos were as well although more pricey. $5 for birria and $4 for the regular is expensive but they did satisfy my craving. The chicken and beef are about $2.99 if I'm not mistaken. Fish tacos are tilapia- wish they used a different kind else I would have tried those too. Seems sketch located in a gas station but totally worth a try. If I'm ever in the area and want some tacos, I'd definitely consider stopping by. read more
I came to this place based off a recommendation my friend gave me. He told me don't be put off because it's technically at a gas station lol but when I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised. The food smelled really good. The lady who took my order was very nice. I ordered chicken and I ordered beef birria tacos. Really good! I honestly did not know chicken birria existed, but it was really good. That was probably my favorite. The consome that comes with it is decent. The salsa Verde they gave you has more of a jalapeño taste to it and the saucy Roja is VERY spicy. It was overall great and I'll be coming back. read more

Can't believe I'm just now leaving a review for this place but I'm finally getting to it! I've consistently eaten here for over two years and have never been disappointed. I *live* for birria and Salsa Taqueria has some of the best birria tacos in North Atlanta. My usuals are the Birria de Res (beef birria) and Carne Asada burrito. The portions for the size are great and always over eat when I order from here lol! The tacos are just THEE bomb. Stuffed with meat, cheese with onion/cilantro, my mouth waters just thinking about them. The consumé that's served with the birria is so flavorful and savory, I could eat it everyday. Additionally, the tacos and burritos always come with two different types of salsa, and they're some of the best I've ever had (and spicy so if you like spicy, they deliver!!). I've actually never been to the store itself, I always order online, but when it's delivered is always warm and ready to eat, packaged nicely and yummy. read more

I will be back for sure! Was craving tamales and was in the area. This restaurant has BEEN on my to try list but just never got myself up to try it. Worked out I was able to fill up at the Shell directly in front of the restaurant while I went to place my order. WIN WIN! CHICKEN TAMALES! 5/5 wow! Flavorful, the chicken had a kick to it and the spicy green salsa was an added bonus. I would return and order this by the dozen. BIRRIA TACOS These were great! Does it top my all time fav Birria Gordo (Marietta), no but it comes close. If I need a birria taco fix and I'm not up for the drive to Marietta I would for sure order here. BARBACOA ON HARD SHELL My least favorite of the three I ordered. Whatever they topped it with was bomb! Cotija cheese mixed with some chopped up veggies. Other than that it's just a hard shell taco with shredded beef which they translated to Mexican barbecue. They have bottled drinks in a fridge: aloe Vera drinks and some other canned drinks. But nothing homemade. read more

Really solid stop for Mexican in and around Buford highway. It may seem a little off attached to a gas station but the food is fantastic and they did a nice job with the aesthetic inside considering the location. You come here for the food though! The tacos have a great amount of protein with delightful corn tortillas and pair nicely with their hot sauces. The Birra tacos are a hit (they are a little heftier than the regular tacos and support the higher price point). I've had the tamales as well, they we solid, the tacos are the family favorite though. read more

This place is IT. I wish I found this place sooner, but only found it through scrolling Yelp. This place is a hidden gym!!! This place is located next to a gas station, but please please PLEASE do not let that deter you. Yeah, I get it's not the most appealing, but I can guarantee this is way better than the tacos at Politan Row (and cheaper). It also doesn't look like 'gas station' food from the inside and looks recently renovated and clean! Parking for Salsa Taqueria is shared with the gas station and laundry mat next door, but there were several spots still open. Service here is great and super friendly! They do take credit cards and cash and you have the option to eat-in as well as takeout. We ordered eat-in and they delivered our food to the table! There were only 3 tables and some bar stools, but the location only seats around 13. I ordered 2 Birria Beef Tacos ($3.99), 1 Asada Taco ($2.99), and a Chicken Tamale ($2.49). Birria tacos were all the craze months ago and I never got to try them. These Birria Tacos were AMAZING. The beef was so flavorful and tender and it comes with more than enough consommé for dipping! The cheese pull you get with these tacos too are crazyyyyy. The Asada Taco was done simply and correctly with tender and flavorful meat that is soo good with their green salsa and a squeeze of lime. The Chicken Tamale was alright for me, but it was also my first time trying a tamale. My friend who has eaten tamales many times said these were really good and authentic, but I just thought it was too much corn for my liking and not enough chicken or flavor. The Birria Tacos and Asada Taco def makes up for this. Did I need all of that food to be full?? Definitely not and could have really stopped at 2-3 tacos, but I had to try the tamale. Their red salsa was pretty spicy for me and I only tried a little bit on my fork, so be sure to try this before drizzling on your tacos! The green salsa is my personal favorite. When we headed out to leave, the worker asked us how our food was and you could really tell how proud they are of their food and the work that goes into them! If you had to come here and get anything, get the Birria tacos for sure and you will not be disappointed! read more
As everyone else states, pictures do this place absolutely no justice. I don't give out 5 star reviews for fun, I'd give this place bonus stars if I could. I've tried birria tacos twice before and wasn't impressed, they've always looked better than they tasted to me. This taco spot is located inside of a gas station, which may confuse you. To-go/pick up orders only. Please note that this was my second time here, the first time I ate the food so quickly that I forgot to take a picture. I was back 4 days later to make sure that I was tasting correctly. I placed a to go order, so I wouldn't have to do much waiting when I got there. I ordered 2 chicken birria tacos and 1 beef and a side of rice. Honestly, 2 and a side is more than enough to fill you up, I was being greedy. They are seasoned so well, and the sauces compliment each taco. I always ask for a side of pico de gallo because I love the spicy combination. The green sauce is my favorite of the two. I will definitely be back when I'm craving birria tacos! read more

Order: Pescado taco $3.99 + Ground beef taco $2.99 + Birria chicken taco $4.49 + Birria shrimp taco $4.99 + Birria beef taco $4.99 Ambience: it's tucked in a corner of a gas station. The moment you see that, you know the food is going to be . It's tiny space and most folks take out. But there are a few tables and high chairs. They bleach the heck out so you can't smell the food but you definitely will smell bleach everywhere. But hey that just means, it's clean and that's even more important when it's in a gas station. Also, if you sit down to eat, they bring the food to you and they clean up your table. Staff was wearing masks too. Review: it's halal! It's bengali flavored food in a taco shell. Its amazing! Well the star of the menu is the Birria beef taco, let me start with this one then (please see photos too) - Birria Beef taco: beef is curry flavor. It's called "Jura mangsho" or "kala Bhuna" which is a VERY traditional way of cooking beef in Bangladesh. Chunks of beef is slow cooked for hours to get it to be shredded. Once shredded, it is cooked in high heat in a wok to get a smoky taste. It's a great balance between being no saucy curry texture but is soft and blasted with flavor. This meat is pasted with mozzarella cheese in a deep fried taco shell. Yeah, not healthy at all. But which amazing tasting food is ever healthy! - birria chicken taco: lots of flavor. It's oily from the deep Fries taco shell. The chicken itself can be a bit dry but there are some curry sauce as a dipping sauce - birria shrimp taco: shrimp is bland but all the flavor in the toppings and taco shell brings everything together. I personally would prefer the shrimp to be cooked differently. - pescado fish taco: the fish had fishy smell. I wasn't a huge fan of that so I couldn't enjoy the flavors as much - ground beef taco: flavorful but usual. The tacos are good 8" size and generously filled. So expect to be full! read more
