During the move, two of my couch cushion pillows went missing. Despite multiple attempts to contact the company via email, phone, and text, I received responses indicating that my pillows were not lost and that the truck was empty at the end of the move. However, I observed that the truck was not empty when the latch was closed--it contained numerous furniture covers, some of which were wet and other Items (some items belonging to the actual movers themselves). Moreover, the photograph of the truck sent to me did not match the truck that transported my belongings. The truck in the photograph lacked an overhead, whereas the truck used during the move had one. Despite my attempts to explain this discrepancy, I was met with unprofessional and rude responses, including remarks questioning "why anyone would want to take my couch pillows" and dismissive comments stating "I Would reach back out to apologize". Although the movers were an hour late and offered an discount that wasn't a discount which was almost forgotten about at payment time. I made every effort to cooperate and work through the issues. Unfortunately, the moving process was poorly managed, with my belongings being inadequately secured and my items, including the missing couch cushions, either misplaced or discarded. Furthermore, I discovered that despite the contract stating that the company had moving insurance, the insurance company informed me that the company has not been insured through them since July. Had I known the company was uninsured, I would have chosen not to proceed with their services. Now my full couch has to be replaced! This Move was an complete nightmare!

So , hire people who know what there doing and save your friendships, your time , possible headaches and hope for the best . Scatman was helpful with the quotes, would be a three man crew , returned phone calls and even called the day before our move to confirm . Since the bf and I work crazy hours we had a tight window for moving being 5 hours absolutely tops . A 2 bdrm apt. was taking far to long and had to say something more than once about budget and time . Other moving co's. gave us estimates for 2 men in a 4-41/2 hr. range . 6 hrs. later they finished (@ $115.00 an hour) and now we were running out of patience and possibly cash and ya know they want a tip. Most of our belongings were "Dumped" in the middle of rooms, stacked haphazardly and would fall over leaving us to figure out how to clean up more of a "Bad moving situation."

I would have done it myself, but I needed an "expert" to move the china cabinet; it was too large for me to move. Before the move, office staff I spoke with and email reminders were fine. Day of the move, the driver called to see if he can start the move earlier, I said I needed to stick with the time I had scheduled. He replied " well I guess we all just have to do nothing"...with an attitude. I wish I had cancelled the move then. I had just bought this set from an on-line yard sale; all excellent condition, not one thing wrong with it. Haven't ever used it. When they brought the truck up my little incline driveway, we heard a very loud crash. It was the top of the china cabinet crashing to the back of the truck into the chairs. The helper said "The strap broke". OMG!I I will make this short: the top section was destroyed! A furniture repair shop looked at it and said it couldn't be fixed. This is after Strong Arms took it back with them promising me they would fix it. Also, chairs were scratched and dented, and the bottom of the china cabinet had damage. I was never able to speak to the owner of Strong Arms about this. When I asked to speak to the owner, I was told I couldn't and then was hung up on. I did receive a small compensation for it (300.00), but I paid more than double that, and I was never able to use it. And they insisted I pay for the move!!! Or they were going to "take it back". It was a horrible, horrible, experience! Wish I could post a picture of the before and after of the cabinet.
