Demetrius, Lavanty, and Ronnie were amazing. I don't allow shoes in my house and they respected that with no issues, wore shoe covers, took their shoes off, whatever I needed. They were quick, figured out how to make the tight spaces work, and were super patient the whole time. Nothing got messed up or damaged, not one thing. On top of that, they just had great energy and great personalities. Made the whole move feel easy instead of stressful, and I felt like my stuff was in good hands the entire time. 10 out of 10. David in the office told me what to expect when I booked and answered all my questions: it all went exactly as he said it would. Richard was the team lead, and his experience was clear; they arrived on time and they handled the job with speed and assuredness. Hands down the best moving experience and BEST crew I've worked with! They were the nicest and most professional team I've ever experienced on a move. Shoutout to Jermaine and the 4 D's (Derrick, DJ, Darius and Demetrius)! Despite my house having many stairs leading up to it and also inside, they never once complained and had such a positive, fun attitude for the entire day. This was by far the best moving experience I've ever had. I have moved several times over the past 20 years. James and Nathan did an amazing job. It was an out of state move which was over a 3 day event. They were never out of touch with me. These two young men were extremely respectful and kind to me and my family, in fact everyone they encountered had only the best feedback when I spoke to them. A bag of bird seed was left behind and they drove back to my home (30 min drive) just to return it to me. No damages only kind words. It's not often you tell any service company that you love them when they were finished? Of course I tipped them I only wished I could have given twice that amount. Pros: The movers were early and worked fast. Cons: The broke our furniture! The broke my daughter's bed, and only took off $70.00. The bed was $275. They broke a dresser's foot, which we only noticed today when we took the plastic wrapping that the movers had put on it. Then, while we went to the apartment to clean and get the rest of our stuff, we found the missing shelves from my daughter's bookcase that were hidden in the closet because the movers broke them off the shelves! Totally awful experience with this company. $70 for the broken furnitures??? Think twice about hiring these movers. If you value your furniture, find another company. Found another broken antique family heirloom serving dish that was very well packed and put in a Rubbermaid that is marked VERY FRAGILE PLEASE BE CAREFUL! Outstanding professional movers! There are so many awesome qualities about this company and I'll name a few for anyone in need of a great moving company. The first couple of things that drew me to this company was the fact that a background check is done on all employees, insurance is provided in addition to extra insurance you can select if you need it, and I was able to get an estimate quickly and for the date and time needed. The second thing I appreciated was the continuous communication with reminders as the move date was getting closer. I spoke with a person when I received the estimate and I was assigned a Project Manager who ensured I was kept abreast of everything. I received a pre-packing checklist to assist me with my portion of the move. The crew included Nathan (Project Manager), Warren, and Lavardo. This team was amazing. Nathan gave me a call and provided me with an exact ETA the morning of the move. Our move list had changed from what was initially estimated. No problem as Nathan said. They came in and assessed the updated changes. Nathan took time to go over the insurance, inventory, finalize the start time, and confirm the destination. These guys wrapped all the furniture and glass in moving blankets, taped well, and plastic wrapped. We had a sofa bed to move and they removed the back pillows and wrapped them together and wrapped the entire sofa bed even ensuring the feet were wrapped so not to scratch the wooden feet. Outstanding! The same process was followed for the dresser, night stands, end table, and dining set. The glass tops were well packaged as well. Now, I was given a 4 hour move time. We made sure to stage everything and label everything that was moving to it's new location. The guys had everything package and loaded on the truck in 45 minutes. They had a well organized process and the way they communicated together to get the truck packed was a sight to see. They left my house clean and no dings on the walls during the move. They met us at the location with that same seamless process started as they unloaded the truck and moved the furniture to the new location. They set everything up where we asked and then they began the process of unwrapping everything. A 4 hour move happened in 2 hours with time to spare. Mind you this day, Nov. 21 was a rainy day in the city and thankfully the rain held off for us to move. The guys were such a pleasure and joy to work with. My son was leaving home and moving into his first apartment. The team congratulated him on his upcoming graduation with his Master's and getting his first apartment. They were friendly and we shared some good laughs. Moving can be stressful but this move was everything positive and no stress. They all ensured an awesome experience and they delivered. To Nathan, Warren, and Lavardo, I appreciate you all more than words can say. You all made this a great experience for me and my son. They helped us move from Atlanta to Decatur 3 weeks ago. Only one of the three guys was efficient. We were quoted for 5 hours but the job itself took 7 hours. In the end, they just dumped furniture into the apartment without moving them to the right place. My husband had to move the couch with the captain while the other 2 people left early to sit in the truck. They were not trained. I saw one of them was moving boxes one by one by hand without using the trolley. We paid 3 guys but felt like getting the service for 2. ------ update: The owner got in touch with us to apologize. Originally I was going to leave a 3.5 review. Two issues: 1- I paid for 3 movers but 1 was 40 minutes late and no discount was provided. 2- They only had 4 furniture blankets, so furniture got scratched. Then several days after the move I came back to the old place and realized that they left 3 boxes in the elevator. The boxes were open and half empty. I don't know if one of the movers went through the boxes or someone else since they were left unattended for several days but this kind of service is simply not acceptable. Multiple friends, one of whom has moved around Atlanta several times, recommended Atlanta Home Movers to us. Atlanta Home Movers also has a perfect five-star rating on Yelp (at the time of writing this review). Seven weeks before our move date, my fiancee filled out the online estimate form on Atlanta Home Movers' website. About 12 hours later, she received an email from Operations Manager/Estimator Christopher that confirmed availability on our requested move date. This email also contained service and payment information. We only needed to move a handful of furniture items (a mattress, box spring, small desk, three lamps, a small set of drawers) and seven boxes; a relatively light and simple job. The quote was $129/hour for two movers and a 17-foot box truck with equipment. No deposit required. My fiancee responded to Christopher and told him she wanted to proceed with booking movers for that date and to let her know if he needed anything else. Christopher responded the same day and asked for additional information to complete our reservation. Then a communication breakdown occurred. My fiancee mistakenly thought we were good to go, when in fact, we were not. The week of the move, my fiancee called Christopher and left him a voicemail to confirm the move was still happening (in her mind, she thought the booking had been confirmed weeks ago). Christopher responded and said their next availability was four days after our requested move date. This, of course, was unfortunate because my fiancee had to be completely moved out of her apartment by then (lease expiration). Christopher apologized for any miscommunication and said all information must be received to finalize a reservation. If information is not received, a reservation is released and made available to others. My fiancee was at fault for not following up with Christopher, but also I think Christopher should have followed up with my fiancee to make sure she still wanted to proceed with the move on our requested date before releasing the reservation to others. A simple reminder or follow-up would have been nice. It would have prevented this. My fiancee was left in tears because a move she thought she had scheduled almost two months ago was actually not scheduled at all. I think Christopher heard the sadness in her voice and offered to call the owner(s) of competitor Georgia Home Movers to see if they could make a special exception and squeeze us in. They did! So thank you very much to Christopher for that. Georgia Home Movers was actually a bit cheaper too, quoting us $100/hour for two men and a truck. However, unlike Atlanta Home Movers, Georgia Home Movers required a $100 deposit. In the end, the actual move went smoothly on the date we requested, but not after a bit of heartbreak for my fiancee. Thanks again to Christopher at Atlanta Home Movers for helping us out and making things right. He even called my fiancee after we had booked with Georgia Home Movers to make sure she was okay. read more

They were very responsive and called back immediately. I described what was needed. I was provided a quote with an hourly rate. It was very fair. Josh and team arrived on time. The team worked very quickly. There was no rest time and the guys actually ran at times. There was no loafing around. I didn't demand anything like what I saw, but really spoke volumes for hourly workers. The team brought to my attention any damages to furniture before it was moved. I spoke with about 6 moving companies, and Atlanta Home Movers had the best rate and the best customer experience. I had never heard of them before, and used them because Yelpers liked them. Before the move, Chris was very responsive and answered all my questions over the phone and through email. When Moving Day arrived, I was nervous at first because I am always nervous during moves. I'm not really into random chit-chat when guys are moving my furniture - I'm more interested in making sure they wrap the furniture and don't damage my walls. Too often in the past I have experienced movers who just want to chat/run up the clock while they casually move and bang my furniture on its way to the truck. Also, I have gotten sick of movers constantly asking me if I'm going to give them a tip. HOWEVER, Atlanta Home Movers was a completely different experience. Josh and DJ arrived during the allotted time, and even called me 30 minutes before to let me know they were on the way. They moved my furniture quickly and without stopping to constantly chat. They were very courteous and answered any questions I had and followed the few directions I gave them. They were incredibly helpful and understanding, even when a dresser couldn't go upstairs (they tried to make it work for about 20 minutes) and then took the dresser to the garage without any complaint at all. I was going to tip them anyhow (surprisingly they never once mentioned they wanted a tip), but doubled what I was going to give them because they were so professional and simply THE BEST. I want to give them a 3 or 3.5 but will give a 4 because they have a few really good employees who work hard and go the extra mile and they will get things done on time for sure. I would say as far the staff they're 50/50: they have some unprofessional movers but some really good young employees; I would recommend them but would say to make sure you don't let them do any packing for you. As far as moving companies I would say they're slightly above average. I might use them if I had to again but I would do all my own packing and supervise them every step of the way, watching every second. A four might seem high but when it comes to moving companies I find the standard is so low that it would be unfair to rate them lower cause I've seen some pretty bad movers that these guys don't even come close. Also some, not all, were super loud so be prepared to over hear loud conversations of "locker room talk rated R" and leaving half empty bottles of energy drinks strewn all over the place. So you don't want young kids around when they're working. Some staff member asked for stuff which was super weird. They didn't do too much damage to the house on moving. Some scratches on the floor. But they left a ton of trash in the old house and promised to pick up but didn't do it even after following up and promising to do it again more than once. The furniture on the other hand was damaged pretty bad; broken bed, big scratches on a very expensive wall library, lost most pieces of an adjustable bed frame rendering it useless, lost most pieces of a reclining sectional and misplaced a bunch of stuff - if you pay for their packing be sure to supervise them at all times literally watch everything they do or stuff will be hard to find. read more

I was really happy with my recent Atlanta Home Movers experience on my interstate move from Atlanta, GA to Harrisburg, PA. They delivered a painless process from packing up to transport to unpacking.
