I worked with Da Vinci Marble and enjoyed working with Lauren. I purchased several slabs and stone tiles. A 2x2 cut tile for the shower floor was out of stock, so another tile was selected. I was told I would receive a refund for the price difference. It has now been several months and despite multiple follow-ups, I have still not received the refund I am owed. This reflects very poorly on the company's customer service and reliability. While the product selection is good, it is extremely disappointing that Da Vinci Marble has not taken care of a straightforward refund in a timely manner. I hope they address this issue and improve their responsiveness to customers moving forward. read more

Whence had done out home a while back, we got our marble from then and remembered what a terrific selection they had, plus they came highly recommended from our contractor, and turned to them again for another remodel. We went yesterday before they closed at 5, and they were great at offering a one on one assistance--Anthony came out and walked us through our options, specifically were were looking for tiles for outdoor covered patio, shower floors, and bathroom, as well as kitchen and backsplash. What my husband and I really loved about Anthony was the absolute efficiency, e.g. we'd show him a tile and immediately he'd tell us whether it would work for that application or not. He just knew that information off the top off his head, and didn't make shit up, as we'd encountered in other shops. We're going to end up doing a custom job of ombre with an online software tool from Oceanside. Anthony turned us onto Sicis as well, but there's no online tool I could decipher, so bummer. The prices are on par with other places of this ilk, and parking is easy especially because it's not located in the middle of a city, and street parking we got immediately. read more

She was able to help us find the best cristallo quartzite for our backlit countertops. She also helped us source an amazing piece for around our extra large jacuzzi bathtub. We placed a large order with DaVinci and in one part of the order they shipped us the wrong tiles. Though they agreed that the tiles were incorrect, they would not provide a credit or take them back as a few of the packages were open, even though almost all the tiles were unused. They eventually offered us a very small credit and we are left with a huge amount of the wrong tiles on our site. I'm sort of mixed- we spent a ton with them - they have generally great products and service, but we saw a very hostile side where they made a mistake and totally changed faces- much like a government bureaucracy focused on absolving blame rather than solving it and quoting all sorts of policies and ignoring the things they did wrong - like ship the wrong tile! Frankly, I expected better for the size of customer that we are and the fact that it was their error and their general positioning as high-service. Be careful with them. I went there to buy Marble and porcelain for my new master bathroom . I walked into the place and walked around the store and was met by nobody . Finally flagged down someone that worked there and asked about a specific tile that was on their website .. after about 5 minutes of checking they said they didn't have it . it shouldn't be on the website . They showed me some other options that were not near what I had showed them . I asked where the other samples of marble were and they said walk across the yard to the other building to see those and walked away . I went over to the other building and they were huge slabs . way too big for my project . No one was in the 2nd building to help . Left after that . They could have cared less if I was there . This has been way overdue! About 6-7 years ago when we did an extensive renovation of our house, my designer took me here. I was able to get all the slate, marble, and countertop I needed. They were very patient with me when I selected a piece which was one of the last one lining up. That means they had to use a forklift to move all the ones leaning in front of my piece. Hi all. I rarely write reviews, but I have to share the amazing experience we had with Davinci Marble. This review could have been a 4 Star dropping to 2, but it is a 5! These people are amazing, Commerical and have been a BRIGHT spot to work with in a difficult large remodel/expansion. We put a pretty large slab order in many months before fabricating, stored on facility and one of our slabs got lost upon our re-inspection months later - oh no, right? Wrong!!! They tracked it down, quickly, Got it back from a very large Commerical project, it looked great, they helped us with honing... and to top it all off they saved us just now when we realized we didn't order slabs with a very quick response and discount! So grateful for the entire team - the receptionists, sales, people, management and ownership. Well done and thank you Davinci! read more

I hired interior designers to update the new home my husband and I purchased, and the designers selected Da Vinci Marble for some slabs we needed. Instead of paying the designers, I had to pay Da Vinci. So street parking was a little bit of a trainwreck, but when I walked in, I heard angels sing. TILE. SLABS. OMG. I was in heaven. Also, when I walked in on a Tuesday afternoon at 12, that place was poppin'! There were about 10-15 customers in the showroom, and then employees assisting them! I had to wait a few minutes before I was acknowledged, but I didn't even care. I roamed around the showroom ogling interior design eye candy. Once the receptionist figured out who could help me, I paid quickly and got my receipt. I did not enter the warehouse area, but I did enjoy browsing the showroom. I thought they had a good variety of tile and marble, and I overheard the employees offering good suggestions and tips to customers. I'll update my review once we receive our slabs, but at the moment, I'm most def a fan. read more

I've been to da Vinci Marble on a number of different locations. I used them to buy slabs for my kitchen in San Francisco as well as buying multiple different types of tiles. I find their staff overall to be quite helpful. And they have a very wide range of prices which I really appreciate. They have a super high-end stuff as well as very reasonably priced pieces. I also really like the fact that they carry quite a few different kinds of designs. Ranging from modern, traditional, country, and Spanish style tile. I also really like their selection of slabs. I also found their slabs to be very reasonably priced. They also have a remnant section which you can go through to find smaller pieces. I've been using DaVinci since they opened and their products are fantastic- quite unique, readily available, and so beautiful. They also provide designers to help you lay out your projects if you book designers a few days in advance. Rose is an incredibly gifted designer. She's helped me with numerous baths and kitchens. I've also used other designers when Rose wasn't available and they've all been great. I highly recommend DaVinci for your stone and tile projects. read more

(unlike some other tile showrooms with tacky sports memorabilia and faux painted walls greeting you as if you want to design your home at a nasty sports bar surrounded by early 90's maple columns... no thx.) back to Da Vinci; they get it. Good taste There are current and unique display boards thoughtfully arranged everywhere. The tiles and stones are arranged by COLOR! I'm a visual person and work in the design field... nobody else does this except Da Vinci; what a visual treat!! Their tasteful way of displaying ceramic, stone tile, and even stone slabs was clearly well planned. I appreciated having many tables available to choose where to work. Their stone slab selection is impressive and different than their competitors. So nice to see businesses that put this much effort into what they are doing! read more

UPDATE: The Nice People made good and made it possible for us to get new granite counters, more suited to our needs and situation. They also convinced our contractor to install the new granite. We loved having the chance to personally select the slabs of granite for our outdoor kitchen. Everyone was helpful and attentive. We purchased two slabs. Soon after installation, however, we started seeing cracks and even divots in the stone...it started flaking apart in areas. Our contractor, who introduced us to this place, said that that's just how stone is, no guarantees. To which I say BS. Hats off to Monique De La Plaza at Da Vinci Marble in San Carlos. Through my designer I had purchased all the tile I would need for my house remodel there. Incredible selection, the very nicest quality, beautiful showroom, and knowledgeable staff. In my case, some tile obtained by my designer needed to be traded for a different kind of tile. Monique was friendly, and actually excited to get the tile back because it's a highly sought after tile these days. Monique couldn't have been more accommodating. She is whip smart in calculating, guiding the billing team in how to credit my account. She then was able to point me toward tiles that would be perfect for my kitchen project. Due to time constraints she knew which tiles were easily obtainable and would ship to our area within a week or two. Found something comparable and beautiful, and even closer to what I originally wanted. Monique is an absolute marvel, a pleasure to work with, and an expert in her field. Pros: Good selection, lots of samples you can take home, receptionist is extremely nice (but stressed and overworked). Cons: Customer service is lackluster. I had to visit several times in the process of a bathroom remodel, and each time left me wishing I had gone somewhere else. The first time was to get ideas and samples, and while I got some, no sales people would help without an appointment. When I just wanted pricing information, I got a pretty nasty look and an incomplete answer. When we picked out a tile, I got a quote from a sales person and gave our contractor the go-ahead. When I called back to confirm the order, I was told the tile we were quoted isn't made anymore. Got quite an attitude -- she questioned where I got that tile sample from, and when I said "from your showroom, from your sales person", she insisted that wasn't possible and I must be mistaken. I understand when a tile is no longer available, but don't display it in your showroom, and don't give quotes on it, and don't accuse your customers of inventing things. So we started over, picked out a different color, got a quote, and placed the order (with the third sales person we tried). They charge shipping from their warehouse in Fremont to San Carlos, so watch for that. I had a change in the order that got ignored even after several attempts to change it, so I gave up. I'll definitely look elsewhere for our next bathroom and kitchen remodel. read more

Da Vinci Marble has a very nice showroom, and they were instrumental in our decision to use Oceanside glass tile for our bathroom remodel. The sales staff was helpful but somewhat distracted the times we were there (a weekday and a weekend) -- it seems like they're a bit understaffed. And Da Vinci doesn't sell one of the tile lines we needed. But our overall experience was a good one. Ultimately Da Vinci got beat on price fairly significantly by another very good tile/stone company (Callahan Tile & Stone; http://www.yelp.com/biz/callahan-tile-and-stone-pleasanton) that was also able to order all three tile types we needed. Not only does Da Vinci Marble have an amazing selection of beautiful tile and stone, they have superb customer service that made us completely confident in the material we selected. They have an expert Keith who really understands their materials and was so patient in helping me understand use of natural stone, the process for sealing, and maintenance recommendations. In addition, I had to make a return and their staff member Taylor went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of. I live in Los Gatos, but it is worth the drive to Da Vinci to see their great quality products and extensive selection and to get their designer's input on putting it all together. Found davinci because its close to work. They are extremely busy and it is best to make an appointment if customer service is important to you. Otherwise blame it on yourself if you are not getting the attention you feel you should be getting. Joe is truly as honest and genuine a person you will find in the business world. If no other reason to give them your business. He really makes sure his staff share this same value. They want you to walk away happy. Great business practice! Everything doesn't work out perfectly all the time but I have confidence that if its possible. Davinci will make it happen I am someone who has very high standards and I don't settle for second best. I went 3 times with guidance from my designer before I was planning on having him meet me there and had to practically beg to have a question answered. They were NOT busy, several people who worked there were making small talk, and yet they didn't see me as $$$$ possibly because I had my baseball hat on and forgot my heels. Anyway, after the 3rd time, I finally was able to mention my address and my project size and had someone following me around asking me every 5 minutes if I needed anything.
