This Malaysian boba shop has done a great job with building their franchise recognized by their cute grizzly bear logo. Their menu has many different series of drinks, but I couldn't really tell what the difference was between some of them. It would be really nice if they could put a brief description next to each series. My friend always gets oolong tea from boba shops because he says it is a pretty consistent and safe choice. Unfortunately, the oolong tea he got here tasted off. I tried it, and it had an unpleasant taste. He described it as the taste of tree bark. I got the brown sugar pearl matcha, which was $7 for the tiny medium size. If I had the stomach capacity for it, the large size would definitely have been more worth the value. I liked the combination of the matcha with the brown sugar, although it was too sweet at 50% sugar. They didn't have an option for 25%. I also didn't see an option for milk substitutions on the menu. We came here to study/work, and the chairs were surprisingly very comfortable. They have some outlets along the wall. The music was too loud, however, and they kept repeating their playlist of ~15 pop hit songs. I started to get irritated from hearing Baby by Justin Bieber and Stitches by Shawn Mendes play on repeat. The wifi was a little slow but not too bad. I liked the animal plushie decor. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the restrooms and how they weren't just singles. They were locked for quite a while after we got there before an employee went to unlock them though, which was strange.
Staff was kind and chill to talk to. They gave some good suggested but ended up with two fruit based teas. Theres lots of table and chairs. It seems like a good place to study too. Parking is out front and free but some are reserved for other businesses so keep an eye on the signs .
This place is so so cute! My family and I came here after lunch for a post meal treat and it did not disappoint. The place is "bear" themed so the boba cup itself had the usual plastic top but then a bear ear plastic dome top which I thought was so adorable. Great decor and friendly service. The boba itself was yummy too. We got the Thai tea flavor 75% sugar, less ice with boba. The boba was fresh, warm, and soft. The Thai tea had great flavor!
Another bubble milk tea drink in an over populated Vietnamese food, desserts and drinks blocks and shopping area. There several tables indoors and outside. I ordered the pearl milk tea drink with my usual regular ice and 50% sugar. The drink is good. Service is friendly and quick.
The best boba in Houston! My husband loves the roasted brown sugar pearl milk tea. So so good! The staff here are always friendly and the place is always neat and clean.
Happy to finally have tried this place - it has a really spacious interior and a large variety of inventive drinks. Add on to that super friendly service and Daboba is da-winner! I got one of their special shooting star series refreshers that mixed lemonade and butterfly pea flower for a beautiful ombre look - get it for the gram and the taste! Parking: easy as Daboba is located in a large strip center with tons of parking spots.
Very cute vibes at this recently-opened bear-themed boba shop in Houston's Little Saigon! We ordered the Roasted Brown Sugar Milk Tea and the Japanese Roasted Milk Tea, both of which were very tasty while not being too sweet. Our drinks came out very quickly and the servers were very friendly. The chill ambience with bear decorations and also plentiful seating make this a great place to grab some boba and relax or get some work done if you're in the area!
Daboba sits between 3-4 stars for me. We got the brown sugar boba fresh milk, which was comparable to xingfutang. I loved that it wasn't too sweet and the boba was nice and chewy too. My partner got the honey golden pearl green milk tea, which was also solid- nicely sweetened with chewy honey boba. My biggest complaint about daboba are the small sizes and the more expensive price per oz compared to other boba places. Also, the drinks didn't really stick out to me to warrant going back, especially with the ever growing boba scene in houston, but it was a nice treat to try. Inside has many tables for work and studying!
A lovely late night boba spot in Houston! My friends and I were craving boba at like 10:30 pm during a weekday and this was essentially one of the only spots still open on a Thursday. The interior is super pretty, and there was a huge crowd here just hanging outside where there was music playing. There's also plenty of options to order, where you can customize sweetness and ice levels. I got the Fruity Party, and it was super delicious and refreshing (I ended up using it as a chaser for soju too lol). The staff were super helpful answering our group's questions as well. The decor inside is super cute too, with claw machines and some sticker slot machines too. Overall, if you're looking for a late night spot in Houston to grab some quick boba (with real authentic tea used), check this spot out!
Had a nice time with my friends tonight! :) Had a brown sugar milk tea with 50% sugar and it was on the spot! I like the cozy environment and supportive staffs! Enjoyed my visit there! I got the roasted brown sugar drink with milk and boba. I enjoyed it but didn't really notice the roasted part vs the normal version. I do enjoy their boba as it's the right amount of chewy. They are fairly quick, but the pricing is a bit on the high side.

I've been wanting to try this place ever since they came to Bellaire but unfortunately, i'm pretty underwhelmed. There was a good number of people waiting in line when my friend and I arrived but, the line moved pretty fast. I have been seeing pics of the cute bear lids and the brown sugar boba but I didn't really get either here. I got the roasted brown sugar pearl milk tea with less ice, reg sugar and my friend got the roasted brown sugar pearl fresh milk with reg ice, 75% sugar. The only difference in the roasted and the regular, is the .25 increase and you get a little brown on the top. I didn't taste the difference at all, really I just tasted milk and I got the milk tea version. I am glad that I decided to get 100% because I didn't taste any sugar at all. I usually don't like too sweet but the cashier said it's really subtle. I think the only thing that I liked was that the boba was soft. The drink didn't taste like brown sugar or tea- just milk and boba. Oh, and if you want to bring your drink on the go- they have a plastic lid that can go over the drink. The space is big so there are a lot of places to sit so that's a big plus. I am not too sure about the other drinks they have but this place didn't really leave any desire for me to come back and try other drinks. I honestly think this is my favorite brown sugar milk tea place. A lot of boba shops love to replicate or make that same drink. But for some reason Daboba's take on it is my favorite. We came on a random Sunday night and it was still decently packed. We got our drinks at a fairly amount of time and left. That first boba sip (mind you, I was full from dinner already) was magical. I finished my drink faster than I should lol. I do have to come back and try their other drinks and see what else they have to offer! read more
Was told this is a franchise from Malaysia but never heard of it despite my last visit to Kuala Lumpur and Penang in 2018. This shop is located inside a Vietnamese shopping center at the corner with plenty of parking spaces. Showed up at 1 pm on Sat and the line was not long. They are known for the honey pearls so I got that and also the roasted brown sugar pearls (like the one in Tiger Sugar) . There's no loyalty program at the moment. You can customize it on ice and sweetness. I did half ice and 50% sugar. Both drinks tasted good but didn't quite care on the bobas. Not chewy enough, IMO! Can't really taste the honey in pearls either. Glad we tried but won't drive this far to get the drinks since there's so many others inside Beltway 8. read more

Friday, September 2023 @ 10:30ish Parking is plentiful. The atmosphere is striking. The ambiance is inviting. I'm not sure if it was because it was so late, but... Service was VERY accommodating, helpful, funny, and patient. They allowed samples of that boba, and made suggestions on the different combinations of drinks and boba. I think this is a great date night location. It's also very picturesque. I would call it Paris chic. I will be back. read more
There are so many places for you to choose boba from in Chinatown, but da boba stuck out to me with their consistent drinks, fun casing, and perfect sizes! I am a huge boba fanatic and would call myself an expert in boba. I liked how simple da boba's menu was and that da boba originated from Taiwan. The flavors seem pretty standard compared to other boba places, but you can tell they use high quality ingredients, making da boba taste extra delicious. The place was clean. Staff was nice. The only thing I wish was different was maybe the location because it's not exactly in the heart of Chinatown. Other than that, I would definitely give this place a try if you happen to be in the area. Obviously you have to order the brown sugar. read more
Nice gathering place for friends and family. It's pretty down south but worth the drive. I recommend this place to those who are willing to drive a bit. The boba was good. I got a Japanese roosted milk tea, the best drink so far. The service was quick and good. Can't ask for anything more. read more
First time with the family here and it was a good spot to stop in for boba. We ordered probably 8 different drinks, but the ones that are memorable was the Brown Sugar Pearl Matcha and the Shooting Star drink. Both weren't too overly sweet and well refreshing. @phidingthefam read more

Came here on a whim Sunday afternoon. The place was very clean and decorated so cute. Staff was friendly and timely in their delivery of my order. I got the Yogurt Fruit and Golden Pearl Green Milk Tea. Both were made as ordered. The yogurt drink was really good, it wasn't too sweet, and I loved the add-ins they put in it. Plus it's something that I haven't really seen at any of the many boba shops popping up. I also thought the milk tea was made well, and their boba is good in quality and taste. I don't live in the area, but would definitely recommend this as a good boba spot to stop by. Price definitely matches the quality. I would like to visit again if I'm ever in the area. read more
On my first visit, I decided to order the Matcha Frappe which wasn't too shabby. The consistency of the drink was thick and there were red beans at the bottom of the drink, so I didn't add boba this time around. No complaints on the sugar level since it was just right for me and helped cure my sugar lows. They close pretty late on weekdays (at 10PM as of November 2022) so that's a plus considering I tend to have sweet cravings later in the evening. I observed ample parking, lots of seating inside and outside, people studying, board games located near the restrooms, and their cups are so cute. Mine came with a lid so it's reusable! Came while I was waiting for a table for crawfish cafe. The interior is gorgeous and seems like a great place to study or get some work done. I ordered a regular brown sugar milk tea with boba and the boba was cooked perfectly. 5 stars for the cute cups! read more

I came back to Daboba and this time got the Purple Yam Brûlée Drink. The drink looked pretty and tasted good. It was creamy and you could taste the purple yam in the drink. The crème brûlée cream on top made the drink even more delightful. read more
I had a regular milk tea with White boba. The cup looked cute like a panda bear. The boba drink was decent but not one of my favs of all boba joints in Houston. Having said that I'll come back and give this place a try again. read more

Extensive menu and lots of great options!! I will be coming back. The building was very big and nice too. It sits on the corner of the complex so it was very big and spacious inside. The drink was 10/10 I loved it. The employee was very nice too. Quite patient with me because I was taking a bit too long to decide, everything looked so good so that was my fault. read more

I got the Honey Golden Pearl Green Milk Tea and thought it was flavorful. However it was quite pricey for such a little cup. I took a sip and nearly downed half of the drink. The boba texture was perfectly chewy and sweet so I'd recommend getting the 25% sugar. read more
First impression: such a pretty place/ambiance! The decor gives me French vibes, maybe French-Viet? I felt really relaxed sitting in the cafe. The drinks have 2 size options, a small cup and large cup. The large cup is $1 more. I got a small roasted brown sugar pearl matcha, which I actually really liked! It was a lot in one small drink, but I thought that the flavors worked well together. I personally love cheese foam generally, and here they roasted it. My friend licked off the plastic because it was so good; he described it as cheesecake. The boba was also pretty good. I tried my friend's milk tea and thought it was okay, I definitely liked my drink more. My complaint is 1. the price is a little high for a small cup, I guess because the impression they give off is similar to the Alley with the small cups and logo design, and 2. they use a lot of plastic! For some reason, they use a seal AND a plastic cover (if you have cheese foam in your drink, you'll get this flat top, but if you get other drinks you can get the cute bear top). I don't really understand the purpose of that. But I would come back again! read more

The place is roomy and the decor is nice. The guy taking our order was nice but it took awhile to get our drinks. We ordered a Honey Green Tea and a Shooting Star, but noticed our receipt said green milk tea so we corrected it but our drink still came out with milk so they fixed that for us. And then I looked at our "Shooting Star" drink and thought it was the wrong drink because it looked nothing like picture on the menu. Someone behind the counter told us the drinks will never look like the picture and the purple color is at the top. Photo is attached, anyone else seeing something I'm not? the drink ended up not tasting all that great anyway. The Honey Green Tea was okay. Some of our friends ordered other drinks but nothing stood out. They were really sweet. We wouldn't make an effort to come back. read more

Came in a rainy day and the place was pretty empty. I ordered the roasted brown sugar fresh milk tea and my bf got the brown sugar milk tea. Both came with really cute bear lids. The cashier was nice and answered all my questions. The drinks came out relatively quick. My bf and I loved our drinks and the boba has the perfect amount of qq. Easy one of my top boba shop in Houston! read more
I came here this past weekend and had a good time. I enjoyed their Boba although it was a little bit pricey. However the drink did not taste too sweet, which is good! And also the milk tasted really creamy and I enjoyed that about this place. I also thought that the staff were very nice and although still learning the ropes were very willing to help. Outside there is plenty for parking as it is in a plaza, and there even is a convenient outdoor area where you can sit outside and enjoy the boba. This outdoor area is supposed to be a non-smoking area, however when I was there, there were a group of people smoking which made the experience a little less pleasant. However overall I enjoyed this place and I will be back to give it another shot and see how it goes! read more
Stopped by Daboba for soft opening promotion. The line wasn't too long, but the line was moving VERY SLOWLY. The wait time to make my drinks was faster than the cashier taking my order. Their dining room space is huge! Lot of tables inside and outside the premises. I ordered 4 drinks: Golden Pearl Green Milk Tea, Roasted Brown Sugar Pearl Fresh Milk, Brown Sugar Pearl Matcha, and Brown Sugar Milk Tea. Here are my thoughts: Brown Sugar Pearl Fresh Milk (4/5): Not bad! I liked the torched sugar on top of the drink. Reminds me of creme brulee. I thought this drink was balanced overall in terms of sweetness. Brown Sugar Pearl Matcha (3.5/5): tastes like a good Matcha latte. Strong earthy flavor from the Matcha Honey Golden Pearl Green Milk Tea (3/5): the golden pearls were chewier than I would like but the Green Milk Tea was good. Could taste the tea Roasted Brown Sugar Pearl Milk Tea (1/5): Very watered down! Only thing that was keeping this drink afloat was the boba sugar, which was all I could taste. No milk tea present whatsoever. Boba overall was a little too chewy during my visit, not the perfect QQ level. I think Daboba has potential to be a good spot for both boba and food (they're collabing with K-Busan, a Korean Fried Chicken chain). I'll come back to try out their vast menu. NOTE: I noticed the menu items in the 2 Brown Pearl Series are contradicting. The "Brown Sugar Series" section contains Roasted Brown Sugar Pearl drinks while the "Roasted Brown Sugar Series" section contains just Brown Sugar Pearl drinks. The "Brown Sugar Series" section (the drinks on the leftmost section of the menu on the bottom TV) are the ones that have the torched sugar on top of the drink that tastes like creme brulee. read more

Just left this place super annoyed. I have been here about 4x and each time was disappointing. The drinks were either too sweet or lacked of tea flavor. Today however, I will never be back. The sign clearly states 10% discount from 2pm-6pm on 2 or more drinks but the girl at the front did not apply it when we were there at 2:17pm and we asked, she said "I forgot" and just walked away. No apology or anything. When asked again, she said she doesn't know how to fix it and to come back next time when the manager is there. What if I don't want to come back? I don't even care about the discount but the fact there was no acknowledgement and that she was rude about it pissed me off. She didn't even look at us or cared to respond when we asked. Terrible customer service and drinks anyways. Will not be back or recommend this place. read more
It's so pretty inside I forgot to take photos and they also have a cover outdoor seating area that I think is newly added. I got the roasted brown sugar milk tea NO sugar, with grass jelly. It was enough I'm glad I got no sugar because the roast brown sugar was sweet enough and was just right for me. My brother got the roasted brown sugar fresh milk 1/5 sugar and it was just right actually tasted less sweet than mine. I'll definitely come back for the drinks here. Tldr; ok service, super long wait, super sweet drink with lackluster matcha flavor, not enough boba to justify a nearly $7 price tag. Not recommended. As a boba lover, I was super hyped for this new boba place to try! We actually stopped by on their grand opening day, but since the line was a bit long and moving quite slowly, we decided to come back another time. I stopped by again Friday night, around 8pm and there was a short line inside (understandably since it's the weekend), however, the line was still moving very slowly. I ended up with a large brown sugar pearl matcha because I haven't had matcha in days. (In hindsight, I should've just tried out a small size because this is a new business during their soft opening, but my usuals are in large so I kind of forgot.) Anyhow, after a long 25min wait, I finally got my drink! And it was disappointing. The matcha flavor is barely present and the regular sugar level is just too sweet. There's a powdery texture in the liquid which I *assumed* that it was not mixed thoroughly. The boba texture is on the softer side, just missing that qq. Overall this was a below average experience and the prices are just too high. My drink is $6.25 before taxes and all the boba was gonna after 5 sips!! I'd not come back anytime soon. read more

I read reviews b4 hand and asked my sister, and totally agree you should ask for 50% sweetness or 75% because my roasted brown sugar milk tea was perfect that way. Other than that I liked my drink, will definitely come back to try other things on the menu. read more
